This was the first company gathering of the new year for Liberty Capital LLC, a well-established local company with over 22 years of history. Our boss chose this restaurant, which itself has a 25-year history, and it was a perfect choice. The seafood quality was excellent, the service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. What made the night even more special for me was receiving my very first award of 2026 here—an unforgettable and happy moment. It was truly a meaningful and memorable event. Highly recommend this restaurant for celebrations, team gatherings, and special occasions.
Columbus has many restaurants. And this is place is definitely a catch of delicious dinning. I read mixed reviews of this place. And thankful I tried this place out. Quality and service were top notch! Perfect portions with a artful display on your plate. Will be returning again!
Started with the spicy shrimp appetizer, which was delicious. Snapper Hemingway was tasty. Good whiskey selection and several nice cocktails, including the smoked old fashioned pictured.
When I travel to Columbus Ohio for work, the Columbus Fish Market is my favorite place to have dinner. The food always taste fresh, the specials are gracious, and the staff is attentive. I recommend coming on Twin Tail Tueday’s and asking to be seated with Chloe. You won’t be disappointed.
We had an absolutely stunning lunch at Columbus Fish Market. The flavours were outstanding and this is definitely a top ten Friday seafood experience after over 300 in a row. Chloe our server was amazing and we couldn’t thank her enough. Once again we paired lunch with a good New Zealand Sav Blanc. Way too much food but we gave it a red hot shot and there was very little left on the table at the end of lunch. We were offered take away boxes by Chloe but we were not about to be defeated by the sea. 🦐🍤🐟🐙🧜♂️
This was a delightful and peaceful dinner after a long day. Ambiance was excellent, service was top notch and the food was so good! Best squash soup I’ve ever had! The clam chowder was good as well and we enjoyed salmon and lobster tails. All excellent.
A lot of great options, but be sure to ask about limited specials not on the menu. Got a scallop and mushroom risotto that is to die for. The spicy shrimp appetiser and clam chowder were great as well. Nice quiet atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff.
My daughter just graduated and earned her first job of adulthood employment. She chose to take me here to celebrate all her accomplishments. Very nice for the manager to offer her a complimentary desert. For me, it was my scrumptious gluten-free meal. The ambiance was very mellow and chill, just what we both needed. Server was awesome and the food was fresh and hot.
The food was delicious and fresh. We enjoyed the valentines day vibes, and specials. Great place for a causal and more upscale date setting. Our waitress was welcoming and sweet.
Fish is amazing. I ordered the lobster and shrimp stuffed cod and I was incredibly happy with my choice. The husband ordered swordfish and proclaimed it divine. Atmosphere is super nice and service is top notch. A bit pricey but worth it. If you have allergies or food sensitivities, beware of things not listed on the menu, though.
Fish Market is a nice restaurant! This time my food wasn't as good. I hadn't been there about 12 years! The 🥔 potatoes were good! Wasn't a fan of the broccolini 🥦. Had a great waiter Beth. My food came out not warm! Inside the restaurant was cold! Beth made it right! I order the Market seafood dish it was 🐟🐠salmon@, 🍤 , & crab cakes 🦀- plus 2 sides which I got 🥔& broccolini🥦 ! Everyone was really nice. I was expecting it to be crowded in the evening before Father's Day but it was empty. I am a fan of Mitchell's other restaurant. Try it for yourself it could of been me! Blessings
*extremely late post* Went here in October for my birthday. We enjoyed all of our food. Our waitress was excellent. The atmosphere was dark and intimate. The reason for 4 ☆ and not 5 was because they didn't have any oysters. That was the only reason I wanted to go there that night. And it was my first time at the restaurant. We haven't been back just yet, but I do plan to. Keep up the good work, but please keep oysters stocked! Lol 😂. We did get a free slice of cheesecake to make up for the oysters thing, either that or because it was my birthday.
Food great. Service great. Value great. What was disappointing was I ordered an appetizer and a drink and ordered take out. I was charged for my take out container. Why? You didn’t have to pay someone to wash my dish or my napkin or serve me that food and you felt the need to charge me for a take out container? Very disappointing. I have never been charged for a take out container before.
Had reservations for Valentine’s Day got seated 15 minutes after our reservation time which was no biggie. But then my husband went to order crab legs and you guys were out. I personally think a sign should be posted letting customers know items you’re out of. Or maybe be a bit more prepared. We also were not offered bread? I thought that was supposed to be given to every table. The restaurant seemed unprepared.
Being how it's owned by Mitchell's Steakhouse I expected the steak to be as good as Seafood. I was highly disappointed with a New York strip. The meat was tough and hard to cut through with that steak knife with a over powering.flavor of bunt grill and nothing else. In all honesty it was the toughest New York strip and the worst tasting I've ever eaten in my life. My date had a fillet and two lobster tails. The lobster tails were the only thing that was good with our meal. Definitely not what I expected out of $160 meal for two.
Made reservations for my daughter and son in law for Valentine's Day. I understand they are busy that day however, they we 30 minutes late seating them. They were out of crab legs which my son in law loves and that one reason they went. No bread was brought to the table. They saw others with it but they did not get any. My daughters steak was not done how she liked and left it. My son in law had to settle for steak while he was looking forward to crab legs. Think twice abut going here. They work hard for there money and they are young. What a disappointment
The lobster roll was a basic white bun filled with mush. It seemed to be imitation crab and a lot of mayonnaise. The fries were not fresh and barely warm. We should have known by the empty parking lot. There was 1 other table with 4 people and when they left it was just my party in the entire restaurant. Our waitress was great. I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be upscale and very good. We went on a Sunday and Franklin County was a level 1 snow emergency however that doesn't explain the food quality. The shrimp scampi was good but for the prices I expect a better quality overall.
I usually LOVE this place, but my recent visit was less than ideal, especially for the occasion. I had a reservation for Valentine's Day, we were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation due to them being behind, which was not a big deal. However, when we were sat, we were informed that the oysters and snow crab legs were sold out. Our reservation was at 7 PM, not very late in the evening, so I am not sure how the restaurant was not prepared given most people had reservations. I was very disappointed to not be able to order either. We were sat at the smallest table in the entire restaurant under a cold vent- the couple next to us had also commented to their server that they were cold. I asked our server if we could move to a booth as there were many other single-pair couples at booths and we were told that the empty booths were already booked for other reservations that may be larger- an hour goes by and the previously empty tables were occupied by other couples, not more than two at a table as well......I then saw a different hostess seat another couple at a table and when they asked to move to a booth, she immediately granted their request and sat them. I asked another hostess about this and she then responded that it was later in the night so they could move us or something like that. This was aggravating and as someone who has previously worked as a hostess in an upper-scale restaurant, I didn't realize it was that big of a deal to ask for a booth, especially when you're spending the kind of money here on dinner and I have never had such an issue at any other restaurant. Not to mention, they had a special V-Day dinner menu which did not have any of the items my date and I were planning on getting when browsing the website menu the same day before our reservation, which came off as a price gouge from the restaurant because of course their "Too Good Two-Course" (which used to include dessert for about the same price but now does not, by the way) was unavailable which was not just about the price but the list of items that this deal includes are some of my favorites and they were not available on V-Day at all. The tables were also rickety and the service overall was OK given the booth hassle. Justin, who was our new server after we were granted freedom to move from the booth police, was better than our first server who didn't even offer us bread. Not to mention my date and I watched a server overstack a tray and drop multiple pieces of glassware, one of them being a full glass of water and landing in the lap of a seated guest. I will not be coming back here for another occasion.
This was our 4th visit. This visit was absolutely the worst. We waited 45 minutes past our reservation time. It took over 45 minutes for my wife's cocktail to show up. After asking where it was 3 times. Our dinner was such small portions. I expected to get one of the red snappers out of the display case. But what we received was about hafe of what was on display in the case. I thought we were going to have to stop at a drive thru on the way home to get something to fill us up. The best part of the meal was the clam chowder and the bread, which I had to ask the waitress 2 times for. We'll most likely give them one more chance only because it's one of my wife's favorite restaurants.
The Bartenders were great but the waitress was horrible and the atmosphere was terrible. There were cobwebs on the light fixture at the table in the back corner and it was disgusting. There was a large group of very loud and obnoxious people next to us. The experience was horrible. We left before we even got our order. Mind you,it took over 25 min to get a beer. Had to order food twice. It says in the review, how much did we spend per person, we'll I was willing to spend upwards of 200 tonight. We'll I guess they won't be getting that.gotta be quicker than that.. oh yea, we made reservations for 615, waited until 7 to get the table. Good luck.
