We were there for a company event and it was phenomenal! Eric took care of us and he really did an amazing job. Each and every staff member was extremely kind and helpful. Thank you for such an amazing experience and I cannot wait to come back and try the tuna flight! The mocktails were also amazing.

Jeff Rubys was worth every penny. The experience was incredible. The decor was beautiful and gave so many topics for conversation. The food was cooked to perfection. No salt, pepper, sauce needed. I had the 14oz Strip and my husband the 12oz Filet, shared asparagus. Mouth watering dishes. Wonderful place to celebrate or just have a beautiful dinner ❤️

This place is top notch. Service, food and atmosphere is fabulous. Olivia, our server, was fantastic! She was warm and friendly, and had the best recommendations. We celebrated a birthday and they even gave us a cupcake with a candle.

Came here for dinner during a conference and enjoyed a very nice meal. The staff was very knowledgeable and made appropriate suggestions without pushing anything too hard. The food across the board was very tasty and while one steak was overcooked, they were happy to fix it.

If you're looking for really awesome food and the Royal treatment, this place is for you! The pork belly is a must try! We had ribeyes and mashed potatoes. Both were awesome! Our desserts were delicious! I got the blueberry pie and ate the entire thing. I highly recommend if you can afford it visiting Jeff Ruby's! It's so worth it!

We recently celebrated my best friend’s birthday at Jeff Ruby’s in Columbus, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. Our party of 9 ended up with more guests than expected, and the staff didn’t miss a beat—offering to move us into a private room with the option to keep it open or closed. That level of accommodation set the tone for the rest of the evening. Our server, Rachel, was an absolute gem. She went above and beyond to make the birthday girl—and every single one of us—feel like royalty. She intuitively picked up on names and used them throughout the night, which made everything feel incredibly personal and genuine. Her attentiveness and care made each of us feel like rockstars, and she truly made the evening unforgettable. Once she noticed we loved taking pictures, Rachel even helped us get the best shots—suggesting angles for food photos and taking stunning group pictures. It’s rare to find someone who’s both incredibly knowledgeable and that intuitive. She explained the menu and steaks with such enthusiasm and detail that we were even more excited to eat—and the food did not disappoint. The steak: 10/10 – cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor, no steak sauce needed. The Oysters Rockefeller were some of the biggest and most flavorful I’ve ever had! And the Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked with a buttery, crispy top—absolutely divine! This was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like royalty and dine like one too, Jeff Ruby’s is it—and if you’re lucky enough to have Rachel as your server, you’re in for a five-star experience.

Everything from start to finish was fantastic! The atmosphere was great, there was a live pianist playing, the drinks were good, the food was top notch, and the service was exceptional. My father, who occasionally comes in to visit me from out of town, and I enjoy trying different fine dining restaurants together and we usually spend the whole evening at the places we go which sometimes clearly frustrates the staff. Our server, Patrick C., was attentive, kind, and helpful throughout our evening and we never felt rushed or like he was annoyed by us. His coworkers were great also. 10 out of 5 stars all around! Except..... Maybe putting a bathroom on the main floor instead of in the basement!

I came here 2 nights in a row because I was so impressed. The service is so good- you are ruined when you go anywhere else. The first night my waiter was Shawn and the second night Mike took care of me. The manager Paul also came by to chat and make sure everything was amazing. Highly recommend the Alaskan King Crab and the Ruby Roll sushi. The sushi bar even accommodated a special request during dinner rush.

We just wanted to eat after the convention day. This restaurant was very close, but no tables at all and no openings. We agreed to the full service bar. No regrets, it was fantastic. Food as expected, good neighbours and good conversations. The service was excellent. The desert was too sweet, otherwise only thank you!

The food is always delicious, the ambience is elegant, and most importantly the service goes above and beyond. I have been hosting large dinners at Jeff Ruby’s for a few years now, and they always impress! And this is a review coming from a vegan! Thanks for everything!

Firstly, the place is beautiful. Elegant and luxurious, the staff are very well kept and are very fast on service. The waiters/waitresses are great. The food is great. The only thing that isn’t great, is the price but you need to expect that for such fine dining. So, expect to dish out some money. Highly recommend for a nice dinner with family or spouse.

Had an amazing dining experience at Jeff Ruby. The service, food, drinks and vibe were outstanding from start to finish. Definitely a place to visit if you’re in Ohio. Highly recommend getting the sushi. The fish is super fresh and full of flavor. Some other stand out dishes were the Pork Chop and Garlic Parm Fries. For dessert: Butter Pie & the Peach Sorbet were incredible. Shout out to Anthony and Nick for the great service. Will definitely be returning!

Be prepared for a top level experience including the check. Sirloin was cooked perfectly medium rare. I wish I would have grabbed the blue cheese topper. Feels like a good fellas movie set.

This is one of those restaurants you only go to during special occasions because it is VERY expensive. But you know what they say, you get what you pay for. It all starts with a long stairway leading you to an exquisite dining experience. For a place of this level, I’m surprised that they don’t have a cloakroom and I had to shove my wet umbrella under my seat. At other extremely high dining places, they have taken it and my jacket from me. Inside is beautifully decorated with chandeliers and drapery. The table service is very good, almost too good. You are unable to get through the menu yourself before the server recites the whole thing for you. I understand the appeal but personally, I like to digest the menu myself. The food is fantastic, you don’t want it to end. If you are there for a special occasion, they bring a dessert-tasting plate for free. The parking is terrible street parking, as you can imagine with it being downtown. I highly recommend this place for all your special occasions.

We came here for my 50th birthday earlier this week and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was awesome, the food was great, and the wine was excellent. We reserved the Buckeye Room, which was for a larger party and I would highly recommend this room as it was a wonderful experience.

Phenomenal!. Ryan our waiter was the best! Great suggestions from apps, dinner, dessert, and wine. Very knowledgeable and funny. Felt well taken care of.

Took my daughter here last night to celebrated being selected for the Franklin County Veterans Commission. The level of service from Rachel and their staff was unmatched. Can’t say enough about their customer service. They made us feel special! Thank you! Can’t beat the steak & lobster. Just wish the daughter would get would order something more than their burger. Which she loved. Mash potatoes are so creamy! Outstanding experience!

Obviously the reputation of this establishment preceded my experience. It is well known to be one of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences in Columbus, and that held true throughout the evening. My fraternity brothers and I decided on JR for our anniversary dinner and it was a resounding win. The food was incredible. I personally enjoyed the cod, but sampled from their plates as well and everything was delicious. I've only had oysters twice in my life and could not stand them. When I tell you the East coast selection from JR was everything... you better believe it. I wish I remembered our waiters name (the drinks are good too lol) but he was amazing as well. Extremely knowledgeable of the menu and you can genuinely feel that he loves working there. The entire experience was exquisite and the vibe was worth the price of admission. The fact that it's positioned within walking distance of my two favorite hotels - Hilton Downtown & The Canopy - adds to its appeal for me. I will absolutely return and recommend JR for the perfect evening.

I visited Columbus for a work trip and was looking for a dinner option for me and my husband. This restaurant was super close to our hotel and my husband is a big fan of steak. I booked a reservation for 5:15pm on a Friday about 2 days before. The other options that were available were 8pm or later. The website did not mention a dress code, but we still dressed up nicer. When we got there, most people eating were in nice casual or business casual. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation, but they were still able to sit us right away. The first waiter got us settled with some ice water and cleared the extra place settings. Our main waiter then came and we asked him to share recommendations. He was well versed with the menu and had great recommendations. I appreciated that he was not pushy about getting the most expensive item, but shared varying menu ideas. One thing I did not realize was that the sides are not included with your main course meat option. However, they give you a good size portion and my husband and I were able to split it and still be plenty full at the end of the meal. We received bread as we waited for our food and it was fresh and warm. I ordered the It's Britney, Spritz. The presentation of the drink was beautiful, just ended up not being my favorite drink. I ordered the Petite Filet Mignon and it was cooked beautifully. The char on the outside plus the medium cook on the inside made it quite the experience. My husband and I split the Baked Macaroni and Cheese and it was absolutely phenomenal with the crisp cheese on top and the gooey cheese in the middle. The combinations of the cheese was divine. My husband ordered Grand Champion Miyazki Sunflower Wagyu Filet. It was truly the most unique and exquisite tasting filet we ever had in our lives. You could truly taste the sweetness of the sunflower in meat. During our dinner, the General Manager stopped by and checked in on us. We appreciated that gesture and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Overall, we had an amazing experience and while it is definitely one of the more expensive meals we have had, it was worth every penny.

We celebrated our one-year anniversary dinner here last night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely exquisite; we both chose the Steak Collinsworth, and the sauce was so delicious that I’m determined to get the recipe! The staff truly went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, making us feel cherished throughout the evening. Since we don’t dine out often, it was a wonderful treat for us. To top it all off, they surprised us with a delightful anniversary dessert at the end of our meal. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to celebrate our special day!

I have been to Jeff Ruby's multiple times the last couple of years to celebrate birthdays, anniversary, and job promotions. Jeff Ruby's is at the top of my list when wanting to celebrate a big occasion in my life. Service: Our most recent waiter Joe Meyers is the best waiter I have had the pleasure of having at a restaurant. He was extremely attentive, funny, friendly, and wonderful. He helped make my birthday dinner extra special. Thank you so much Joe! Atmosphere: I love the aesthetic of Jeff Ruby's it is beautiful on the inside, with intricate detailing throughout the restaurant and every table we have sat at has been so comfortable. Food: Jeff Ruby has never disappointed with food from anything we have ordered over the years. I love the fresh sushi rolls, and the steaks are always to die for, especially when topped with King Crab. The Boardwalk fries with the malt vinegar aioli has to be one of my favorite things on the menu, that aioli, is chefs kiss. Every desert that I have had the pleasure of trying has been amazing, I highly recommend the Butter Pie, it is amazing. However last night, we tried "Thee Stadium" Cake it was the coolest cake that I have ever had for my birthday, the presentation of it to the table was so cool, and great for Buckeye fans everywhere. The cake was perfectly balanced and perfect for chocolate peanut butter lovers! Thank you Jeff Ruby's for always helping us celebrate big milestones and occasions in our life, we look forward to all of our visits.

As usual, the food and service were exceptional. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. Our water glasses never reached less than half full before they were refilled. Our server, Jordon, was friendly and attentive. An all-around perfect dinner. around.

My husband and I came after a show at the Palace and sat at a high top at the bar. Our server, Rose, was outstanding. So personable and funny. She provided a wonderful experience. Additionally, the food and drinks were outstanding. It’s not often we get to come here but it is such a treat to be able to enjoy a BEAUTIFUL restaurant with top notch service!

This was our first time eating at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was wonderful. Rachel took really good care of us for our anniversary and was very informative and the food was outstanding. It is a little pricey but we thought it was worth every penny. We will be going back again.

Took my family for dinner here last night. They had a kids menu for my 10 & 12 yo boys. The Oysters Rockefeller app was on point, and my sushi rools entree was amazing. My wife loved her surf and turf special. Amazing atsmopshere, phenomenal service. We'll be back.

Priced its value. Fantastic service, we had Brandon and Olivia. The Filet Scampi was phenomenal, the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. Brandon’s old fashioned was the best. This place has yet to disappoint me! Staff and management are so friendly.

What an experience! Right when you walk in the front door, the hostess are greeting you and checking your coat. As you walk to your table you are met with an opponent interior reminiscent of the 1920's with a modern twist. We were met with gentleman who provided water and very shortly after our server Bailey came to take our drink order and give us the specials of the evening. They were both very kind, informative, attentive and did an amazing job at taking care of us. Eric, the manager, was making his rounds and checking on every table as well. The service was unmatched! We were having a nice dinner after getting our engagement photos done and they gave us a decadent cupcake on the house to celebrate! From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious as is always! 10/10, definitely reccomend!

We celebrated our 15-year anniversary at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, our server Joe made the evening special—he was friendly, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and gave us spot-on recommendations. His service was fast, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the night feel effortless and joyful. The food was nothing short of stellar. We ordered the Ruby Roll, Australian Wagyu, sea bass, and butter cake, and each dish exceeded our expectations. Every bite was bursting with flavor, perfectly prepared, and so tender it practically melted. The butter cake was the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. Joe went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable, and thanks to him, this was the most amazing dining experience we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to plan our next visit—and we’ll definitely be asking for Joe again!

It was our first time at the steakhouse. Service was incredible. Very attentive staff and on top of things. The main dining area is really nice. We got seated in this separate room which was very drafty and cold. The food we got was delicious. I think we would return but probably just for appetizers and wine. We were the first reservation so street parking was easy. There is also a garage across the street which is ideal.

My family celebrates our parents' birthday's annually for dinner at Jeff Ruby's. Every year we make a reservation with Chip Mullen, amd he exudes our expectations! Our service is always exceptional as well. Thomas, our server this year, was phenomenal! We had a party of 14 in the private Regency room and he took care of all of us with little help from assisting staff. I would 100% recommend dining here. I would also recommend making a reservation due to the high demand especially around the holidays! Thanks Jeff Ruby's for another memorable birthday dinner for my parents!

Her exceptional service not only made our experience enjoyable but also helped me shine in front of my team and my boss. As retail professionals, we know what great customer service looks like, and Ella's attention to detail and genuine care set a new standard. Jeremy was our server did an outstanding job, very impressed with the Management team, the employees were all cheerful smiling and welcoming the ambience and cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable! Our sushi was fresh and delicious steaks and side dishes were all hot and cooked perfectly. Could not ask for a better dining experience thank you to the staff for making my birthday special!

This is a beautiful and romantic restaurant. I wanted to like it so much. My friends and I visited on 11/5. I was disappointed by how overcooked my steak was. It had a good flavor but it was quite dry, tuff, and charred too much for my liking. I had the NY strip. My friend said the same thing about her steak and she had a different cut than me (boneless ribeye). Maybe we just caught them on a bad night. My other friend’s had the sushi and the burger and they were very satisfied. Service and ambiance were spectacular. Just wish my food was better especially for the price. The mac and cheese and the asparagus were great. I was craving roadhouse and Texas de Brazil after visiting because the steak just didn’t scratch the itch for me. 5/10 overall for the service and decor.

I have always had problems with consistency at Jeff Ruby's (mainly the Cincinnati location). Last night brought a new issue...misleading menu items. I ordered the "Australian wagu filet Ribeye " for $98. This thing was NOT a Ribeye nor was it Wagu. Don't know about the Australian part. It was 100% Filet and that would have been fine if labled as such. A proper Wagu (NOT expecting Japanese A5) should be heavily marbled with the fat clearly visible on and IN the meat when you cut it. This steak was 100% LEAN, no fat. I would have ordered the regular Filet for $30 less if I would have known. The Server said "Oh, they cut it like a filet so it cooks evenly "?? , Anyway, wish they would stop with the silly marketing gimmicks and use correct nomenclature on their menu. Note images. Something seems to have changed with the execution of the dishes. Every time I've been to this location, food and service has been excellent. My last time here, the dishes were terrible. The sear on the steak was charred to the point it was hard to cut. So much butter was used that it was saturated in the meat. The salad could barely be seen under the dressing, and the sprouts were soaked in whatever liquid flavor was used. The potatoes were great as well as the skillet cookie, service was top notch. But for the expense on the food, I expect considerably better.

I had a very disappointing experience at Jeff Ruby’s. A friend drove over an hour for us to dine together, expecting a high-quality experience, but the service significantly fell short. Our waitress, Rachel, spoke to me with a noticeably dismissive and unpleasant tone after I placed my order. When my steak arrived overcooked, I calmly brought it to her attention. She looked at me, looked at the plate, looked back at me again, said nothing, and walked away without offering any assistance or solution. No apology, no follow-up, no attempt to correct the issue. In contrast, my friend’s $200 steak was prepared perfectly, and he did not receive the same treatment. After Rachel walked away, my friend even asked if her behavior toward me was racially motivated, as the difference in service was that apparent and uncomfortable. Other staff members we encountered were kind and professional, but Rachel’s behavior made me feel unwelcome and disregarded. The situation made me so uncomfortable that I no longer wanted to stay, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a special evening. Given the reputation and price point of this restaurant, this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected.
