Ike's Love and Sandwiches

We really liked this place. When I think of ordering a sandwich I don't get really excited, but Ike's was very unique and delicious. Though I have no idea who many of the famous people they were named after were.

Ohhh mann do I love Ike’s! This is only my second experience at the chain, and I can’t wait to come back! I came in for a vegan meatball sub and that’s what I got! Staff made sure I wanted everything vegan, which I’m always glad when they confirm and are aware of what vegan is. Great experience! The meatball sub was very fresh and delicious!!

The Dutch crunch bread is seriously AMAZING. We've always had a great experience with speedy service, parking, delicious sandwiches. Even a yummy kids selection. They even give you a lollipop with every sandwich, and when asked me how many I needed this time!

I don't normally feel compelled to leave reviews, but Ike's sandwiches are so good, I felt like I just had to leave a 5 star review. The sandwiches are delicious, and the staff is always so friendly! I've never had a better sandwich in my life!

This had long been a great place to get a great sandwich and to be able to eat with your vegan friends. If you're in a hurry and it's lunch time, try to order before you go by phone. They get busy and they're sandwiches are made to order.

Best tuna sub I’ve ever eaten before. I’m a tuna sub connoisseur as I eat them across the country and after 15 years, Ike’s takes the trophy. The staff was very kind when I ordered as well. I hope the picture is appreciated as it took all my willpower to stop eating long enough to take it!

Best gluten free sandwich I’ve come across. Good portions, well seasoned, perfect amount of sauce/condiments, the gf bread wasn’t dense and chewy, and the contents were delicious. I got the 49er and my husband got the Jaymee Sirewich. Both were amazing. We will definitely be back!

Everything looked amazing and as fresh as could be, and as I was waiting for my number to be called I overheard a couple raving about the chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough, so that's exactly what I got. And ...Get this.. it was Amazing! Simplicity at its finest. ☆☆☆☆☆

I love this place! They have such an extensive menu of sandwiches, plus you can still customize your toppings and bread. I got the Little Mermaid on Dutch crunch bread this time and it was delicious! My friend got Jim Rome on Dutch crunch and I think I will try that one next time. I like that every time I go I can try something new. Also the staff at this location are very kind and attentive. I intend to keep coming back to Ike's!

This location has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’m talkin’ five star resort level service. They’re knowledgeable, friendly, super quick, as well as they go above & beyond! (First Responder discount friendly)

The vegan sandwiches are so good. I hope you guys can improve the quantity of even portions like Walnut Creek location which had a much more balanced sandwich ingredient proportion. I would return a lot if it had more than one little piece of tomato on each side and not as little lettuce crunch/vegan chicken minimally dispersed through the bread that overpowered the amount of ingredients inside.

Delicious Sandwich, the Hot Mama. Would have given 5 stars. But i had to wait 30 mins for their oven to be fixed. It was a nice day to sit outside so the wait wasnt bad. A cool drink could have been offered.

Expensive sandwiches named after celebrities, staff seemed pretty happy to be there and that's nice, the sandwich was put together well, fresh toppings sour dough was good. weird self help theme. Ike's face is everywhere and that's weird.

Super busy, understaffed business! Long wait for my sandwich, but it was sooooo good! I got the Willow (a Concord exclusive); dutch crunch, fried chiken, jack cheese, lettuce, dirty sauce. Heavenly! Just wish it wasnt so busy at 2pm

This was a nice place to visit. We had never eaten there before. It is unique. It is a sandwich shop with a twist. But, like all things on the expensive side. I wish I had taken pictures. Thanks for something new and interesting.

Ike's is a well known sandwich spot in the Bay area. I've been to this specific location a few times over the years and my recent visit was just okay. The sandwiches are definitely smaller than what they used to be but the prices are still high. They even charge a 75cent surcharge to keep up with the costs of business and minimum wage. Obviously that's not their fault and more of a voter's issue lol but nonetheless, their struggles ultimately are hurting the consumer. Every time I've gone here they've provided great customer service. Although I'm not exactly happy with the quality of sandwiches for it's high price, I think it's worth going to and trying. My favorite part is they have a lot of vegan options, not just a veggie sandwich. They have vegan deli meats, vegan chicken, vegan cheese and mayo/sauces.

Pretty good pastrami sandwich. I still prefer Subway's toasted pastrami sandwich.

It looks like a huge variety of sandwiches on the wall but it's mainly just chicken with lettuce and a sauce. Limited toppings mean little variety but Ikea is a nice change of pace when you want to break out of the burger rut. Not much indoor seating and be ready to wait as staff makes them very slowly compared to other sandwich shops

Ever since Ike’s left SF, it’s become a rare treat to enjoy their sandwiches. This time when I came in, I found that they’ve changed their meats and thus everything that made their spot special and different. That new halal chicken was gross and tasted like I was eating subway. Goodbye Ike’s, I’d rather remember you fondly than eat something subpar and ruins my memories.

The place itself is rather small, with a few tables inside., and about 3 tables outside with a bench that has a small table. The staff is friendly and very busy - there’s an assembly style line to make sandwiches. They’re all packed in the back working as fast as they can. I remember trying out Ike’s in San Francisco and thinking that they made the best sandwiches. They were packed full of ingredients and you can buy one and share with someone else. I ordered the local sandwich, 511 Willow - chicken, orange glaze on Dutch crunch. The sandwich came out depressingly small - and not appealing at all. I’m used stuffed sandwiches from Ike’s.. and this was terrible looking. I believe someone who reviewed prior mentioned that WC filled their sandwiches and concord didn’t do that at all. The chicken with orange sauce was good, the flavor was there but it wasn’t amazing as I had remembered. Maybe this store isn’t that great?

But when I showed her my 1/2 side of bread with only the 1 piece of cheese, she still tried to tell me there was more even when I told her there was no other cheese on the sandwich. There were 2 pieces of small onion circles and 2 pickle slices on the one half. The other half I took a video and picture of. I tried to explain that if you are making a vegetarian, cheese sandwich, it should NOT look like this. But she kept talking over me and reiterated that they made it right according to their orders. IMO, that is garbage. You should look at how Beach Hut Deli stacks their sandwiches, that is much better and way cheaper. I will not be coming back here. As a sandwich maker, you should have a tasta of everything in each bite. For the record, the ingredients here are fine. The bread is great, vegetables fresh, but the design quality of your sandwiches need a serious re train.

It was an average sandwich, way to expensive $11 for turkey with everything. Me and my boyfriend went For the first time, I gave the left overs to my sister. All three of us got food poisoning from here we all have been in bathroom all day.

Great sandwiches but incredibly bad service. It boggles my mind why it would take over an hour to build two sandwiches. An hour. And I ordered them online! After sitting in the store for an additional 20 minutes watching multiple people who have walked in, ordered and received their sandwiches, I finally received my order. This is a CONSTANT problem with Ikes. They litterally cannot time anything correctly. This was the last time I order from this business. Its a sandwich man, not a six course meal.

Just tried the Tom Hanks Pastrami sandwich with my wife and two kids,I can easily say this was the most disappointing sandwich I've ever had.The meat inside was so tiny,for the price I would much rather have Togo's. Four sandwiches chips and drinks came to 60 dollars! For what!? It was all bread! Terrible
