this place is to die for when we walked into the restaurant it was so warm and cozy and the service were excellent I have nothing to complain about when it comes down to this place five stars I would recommend that anyone family out on a date perfect place to come

This place is really great! If you go on the right months for the seafood that is in season, you will get well quality food. Such as October to January is King Crab season and so I will definitely be going back during that time. 😋

I have been looking for a restaurant like this since i tried a seafood boil place in Toronto. That place was good this was better. We served to families with picky eaters and everyone walked away happy. I highly recommend

Great seafood boil restaurant! The place was decorative, and fairly clean for a seafood boil restaurant. The service was great, and the servers and staff were all really friendly. They had great prices, and their crawfish was HUGE! For the interior, it was really cool to see all the different people who ate there, and their decor was great. However, I feel like the lighting could have been a bit better, and have more brighter lights. Although the lights were a bit dim, the food makes up for everything!

When craving crabs this is where we go... I love it. They're very nice and the food is delicious. We haven't had a problem with their service or flavors!!!

When craving crabs this is where we go... I love it. They're very nice and the food is delicious. We haven't had a problem with their service or flavors!!!

We LOVED Tom's! We ordered the butterfly shrimp with garlic fries, which was delicious! Very well fried, nice and crispy. We also ordered the king crab legs with the Tom's combo, which is lemon pepper and garlic butter sauce. For the sides, we got corn and potatoes as well as the garlic noodles. I highly recommend it all!! Service was good! Very nice and quick, no one lingered, but our needs were definitely met! We also go a couple fruit teas, the mango was our favorite. Enjoy! Note: don't expect a cheap meal. It was well priced, but for crab, you need to expect to pay a bit more. Totally worth it!

We LOVED Tom's! We ordered the butterfly shrimp with garlic fries, which was delicious! Very well fried, nice and crispy. This place is awesome with friendly staff and yummy food. I took 1 star off because the crawfish are frozen not fresh (but others don't seem to mind), but overall I still recommend this place.

There food is good but the service is not. They give plastic utensils to eat hot food with. Other than those things no real complaints

The food is almost always good here. It has had a few off days though. You do not get free refills here on any drink. And it's hard to get a waiter to your table

I was a little cautious about trying this place. A bunch of mixed reviews. It didn't help that as we approached the door there was a notice on their health report score card that there had been a major violation.....Staff was friendly and had us at our table quickly. Not many people inside eating. The place was kinda funky but in a cool way. They allowed people to write on just about every wall in the place with sharpies or whatever they might have had to write with. The tables are covered with butcher paper. Menu was a little confusing at first but after a bit of study we figured it out. They did not have pricing on the menu so when you ordered you had no idea what it was going to cost. Dining partner ordered a diet coke and I ordered iced tea ,"sorry we don't sell tea," so i ordered a bottle water...Sorry we don't sell bottled water... :ok give me a diabetes in a can". Once the order was placed it only took a short time to get our meal. Here is what we ordered.. Crab Boil with Dungeness Crab...."Sorry we are out of Dungeness " ok Snow crab it is.....how about 1.5 lbs...Sorry we only sell by the pound.....so we ordered 1 lbs snow crab, 1 lbs shrimp, 2 corns, 3 red potatoes and 1/2 lbs sausage. GARLIC AND CAJUN SPICE MILD. Alright I have to say pretty good spice mix, crab and shrimp was fresh, potatoes were cooked perfect and sausage had a wonderful texture and taste. They forgot one of the corns.... The service was slow and no utensil were offered. We dug in with are hands and were confused as to what to do with shells.....we came to the conclusion just stack them up on the table along with the butter and cajun soaked napkins we burned through at a steady pace....we did at one point get up and find a waitress to get us a knife and fork. They supplied a set of scissor with a crab cracker built in...actually it was for gripping bottle caps and twisting them off ...but it worked! I never got another drink as staff would not make eye contact or stop by to see how we were enjoying our meal.We recieved the bill and I asked for a wet wipe, as I had garlic cajun butter dripping down my face and hands...."Sorry we are out of wet wipes" $65.00 For the two of us with plenty of food and a couple of canned sodas was a little high but the food was actually pretty decent. So to summerize.....It's messy eating, food was good, service was lacking , price was fair to a little high. No I didn't have the guts to ask what the food safety violation was. Will try again in the future and give another review.

Shrimp lacked flavor and the garlic noodles were too oily. The garlic fries lacked garlic too... the fried oysters we're not bad and the white rice seemed OLD. Meh!

went for my birthday, it was cool. it is definitely messing eating, dont where a white shirt. eat with your fingers. the food is REALLY salty... big portions.

Ordered the crab broil for takeout. It was an ok amount, but the Dungeness crab meat was dry and over cooked, while the king crab was good. It barely had juice, and it was over seasoned. If more juice was added, I would have rated it a little higher. Over all it was ok

I ordered a pound of mussel's and 2 corn and 3 peices of potatoes. It took 35 minutes just to get the Mussel's and the corn and potatoes never arrived and we still needed up paying $17.00. ??? I am disappointed because the Mussel's where really good buuuut at least 3 of the Mussel's where empty, very upsetting! A waste of my time a whole hour!🤨

Chicken stuck to the bone, because it was overcooked and stingy with the oysters. The oysters were the smallest I had ever seen. I don't recommend this place at all. Also, there was an cup with a straw on the counter/table as you walk in the door.

I just purchased clam chowder and a order of Catfish and Cajun fries. Then clam chowder tastes like someone spilt toilet bowl cleaner into the pot. Smells like it too. Cannot eat it. Froes are not fully cooked Fish is terrible. Hate this place wasted $20. On this terrible food. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Horrible service. I'll be upfront, I don't eat seafood, but all my loved ones do. So when I go to places like this my survival tactic at every place similar is to just order sausages, corn and potatoes in whatever sauce they offer with a side of rice. I'm not allergic to seafood, just don't like eating it. Every other place: Boiling Crab, Rockin' Crawfish, etc has no problem doing this. You are literally just tossing all the items in the sauce like a normal order, just without the seafood in it, but the waitress insisted they can't do that. Probably better off, if you can't make a simple change like that, then it doesn't bring me a lot of confidence in the competency of the kitchen.

Waiters were rude and very rushed. I am very disappointed I was eager to eat here but found these youngsters obviously don't know food business. I just hope they dont spit in my food.

This place was terrible! When we arrived the service was very … awkward we didn’t get asked our drinks we had to ask them for something to drink and the water cups weren’t filled to the top and our sodas were cans and we weren’t expecting that and we’re not told that. The menu was very difficult to order from and the crab was over priced ! When finally getting our crab my husband had huge crab legs and I had small ones and we ordered the same King crab legs so we split our crab evenly ourselves. The potatoes weren’t cut it was a whole potato and all we had were safety scissors so I didn’t even eat the potatoes. The only thing good was the sausage so if want some good sausage the yeah this is the place for you ! If your looking for a nice place with great crab for your money I highly recommend RAYS CRAB SHACK in Newark.I spent 120 on something I could’ve made myself literally , This was my first and LAST time eating here at Toms Crab Shack .

I never had to eat crab and lick the leg to get the seasoning, it's like I had a whole diabetic meal gone wild. My co-workers meals left them with a entire land of being speechless to the point that TRASH was the word they were able to say. Two of them had the boil shrimp and one had a bowl of heads only along with a few meaty bodies. And the other two could have bought the frozen shrimp and added prayers to cover what was missing on those joints. The fries and Corona were pretty good but hey how can you F those up. Before I could ask for a manager young Nick said that he wasn't the manager and he isn't there. So young Nick this must be an regular thing for this spot.
