The Old Spaghetti Factory. Here is a place to go whenever the need for comfort food pops up. And, who can resist a great Italian fare whether you're looking for a romantic night out or need a break from the kitchen. They started filling the tummies of individuals to very large groups fifty years ago (opening the 1st location in 1969). We made it out to their anniversary celebrations and got a nice table in a quiet corner. For 5 bucks we had the choice of a 3 course meal that included spaghetti topped with either Marinara, Mushroom, Clam, or Meat Sauce. However, we both went for the 6 dollar meal and got the 'Manager's Favorite' which came with our choice of any two of those mouthwatering sauces. And, for that extra 100 pennies Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter could be had. Hint: For something different and super delicious try the House Dressing on your salad. And, ask for a little dish of that dressing to dip your bread in! 🤗 For the undecided their 'Pot Pourri' is a great choice. It's still a 3 course meal but you get a plate with a sampling of each of the sauces. This too is a 6 dollar meal. We boxed our leftovers and concluded with a desert of Spumoni ice cream while taking in the eclectic collection of antiques that surround the Street Car. A major feature centered in the room with seating inside. You need to stop in and give the Factory a try. Decent prices and great food will have you adding this restaurant to your Favourites List. Please note: The prices above were for the 50 year anniversary celebrations. You're going to normally pay a bit more. I'd say it's a $$ - $$$ restaurant, but oh my God is it worth it!
Had such a great meal at OSF! I once worked for OSF in Oakland at Jack London Square many years ago and have missed the food! Our server was amazing, so helpful, so pleasant, and went above and beyond! The food was amazing as always! I'm not going to wait 10 years till I visit again!
There I was coming back from the Rounders Yinkertossle festival down in Castle Del Roja and suddenly had a huge traffic jam ahead of me, and the hwy 13 turn off would dave the day! I was cutting through Contra Costa County like a butcher, and when I got to Concord I remembered there is an Old Spaghetti Factory Restaurant, so I decided to have dinner. What a wonderful experience, the food was amazing and the service was just as spectacular. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
We used to love this place and we hadn't been here in quite some time. So since I had an appointment out in Concord I decided to stop off and take home dinner. While I was waiting for my takeout order, I saw two groups come in and wait to be seated. They both threw up their hands in disgust and left and one guy came out saying they had been at the table for over 30 minutes and didn't even have water. So what I'd like to say is the facility hasn't changed and I suspect they are severely short-staffed. It just seemed to take forever for everything. On the other hand, their food is as good as ever. The portions are a little bit smaller, but that's to be expected given the inflation right now. But we were all delighted that our favorites tasted just as good as they always did! The people who do work there are very friendly and try very hard. I just think they're short-staffed
The Old Spaghetti Factory has been a family spot for us for years! Now that we have moved out of state it is a tradition to have our last nights dinner in CA here with the entire family. Last night (12-28) we did just that. Our experience was wonderful, our party size is 12, 4 kids and my elderly parents! Our waiter was Nate and he was absolutely AWESOME!! It is truly refreshing to have the same great food, atmosphere and service we have come to expect. Keep up the good work!!
Megan provided truly exceptional customer service. As a manager, she was professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was handled perfectly. She took the time to listen, addressed concerns quickly, and went above and beyond to create a positive experience. It’s clear she leads by example and values her customers. Because of Megan, I would absolutely return and recommend this place to others.
Loved the combination pasta plate: pot pouri! Our server was so sweet and accommodating for my gluten sensitivity and we left a big tip!

Been here a few times recently and every time was delicious. I had the chicken parm which was delicious. My Dad had spaghetti and meatballs, and our friend had chicken mars a la. They both loved their dinners. Overall a great time.
For a family dinner where you want something casual, comfortable, and fairly predictable, The Old Spaghetti Factory in Concord is a solid pick. It delivers good value, a friendly vibe, and food that’ll please kids and adults alike. If you’re after gourmet Italian or something very fancy, there are better choices — but for everyday family dining, it does the job well.
The Old Spaghetti Factory never disappoints. The classic 3 dish combo is more than sufficient. We love the house red (Chianti) wine; and the Spumoni is heavely. It's our go-to restaurant when we want comfort food.

When you come in here, you don't expect that this restaurant will be so huge and has a unique design. We ordered a starter and 2 main dishes with pasta. I was surprised that you'll get a soup or salad and a dessert like a bonus. I was full when I ate a starter, half of soup, half a salad. 1. Sicilian Garlic Bread 9.5$. Warm, crispy outside and soft inside, sause was good. 2. Soup is so delicious, salad is huge, but nothing special. 3. Shrimp Fettuccine 24.25$. was OK, I wanna more flavor for shrimps. 4. Lobster&Crab Ravioli 24.50$. It was nicely cooked. The sause seemed a little bit watery. The filling was delicious. Nancy, our waiter, was polite. Thank you!
My daughter wanted to come here to have dinner. We were able to walk in and be seated quickly. The writer came and took our drink and food orders. The place is very lovely inside and I was surprised to see the cable car inside, which people are able to sit in and eat. The food was delicious and hot. After ordering it came pretty quick. The drinks or delicious and enjoyable and the service was very professional. It was clean and quiet inside.
I got the lasagna and my partner got the breast of chicken fettuccine. The lasagna was fantastic and well worth it. The sauce was not overpowering at all. I recommend adding some salt, pepper, and parmesan on top. The chicken fettuccine was honestly not very special and not something we would ever get again. The dish lacked depth of flavor and felt overpriced for what it was. Additionally, there are pesto options that are not listed on the menu. If you love pesto I would ask the waiter for their options. Ice cream was served as a dessert as standard and bread was an appetizer.
Amazing food. Service I will start first. We had a set time at 830. Got in at 8p and they let us sit early. They ask for vax cards to heads up. Very good old school feeling. Cable car in the middle of the restaurant. Server I had was amazing on top of it. Food was great and came out on time and perfect. Just plates took time to pick up. But overall great. Three course meal good value.
It always seems to be a great experience going to the Old Spaghetti Factory. The food is always good the service is always great and the prices are fairly reasonable. I ordered the large lobster and crab ravioli which was tasty but for the price I was expecting a few more ravioli, just a slightly larger portion would have been nice.
You're a decent basic old school Italian restaurant. We got the meals. I had the mushroom sauce spaghetti with the salad on the side. The salad came with a creamy pesto sauce which was quite delicious. Partner had the spaghetti and meatballs with minestrone soup and we also got a side of broccoli. Everything was pretty good, the only thing we did notice was that the meatballs were a bit on the salty side. You got bread nice and hot out of the oven, which was delicious. Scent sent with the butter was a nice treat. I am sorry I do not have pictures for this particular visit because we were kind of hungry and we kind of Dove into everything. My apologies. The restaurant seems very popular for birthday celebrations, I think we had to sing Happy Birthday three times. Dessert was a scoop of ice cream, either vanilla or spumoni, we opted for vanilla because we're vanilla. Very friendly atmosphere, good vibes, nice staff. Looks like this place could be set up for large parties if you had one. The restaurant sits right across the street from a local park, which even late at night. Was pretty busy with kids playing in the sandlot and playground and people doing other Park things on a very nice warm evening. Definitely worth coming back when we're in the area, although there's a whole lot of restaurants around the square, so we will probably hit those before we return to the Old Spaghetti Factory

This place is an icon, atmosphere is great but it is hit or miss. The other night I went here with my wife and the wait time for a table was longer than the total dining experience as the service is amateur and rushed, and food is obviously pre-prepared. The salad and dressing was warm; the soup was cold. The meal was an unappetizing temperature as well. Barely lukewarm. Please be mindful that people come out to eat to have food that is more desirable than what they are capable of cooking themselves at home. Sometimes I walk in and there is no host/ess. I just stand there. They have excellent meats. My last visit was a drink disappointment. My 16oz cup was filled to the top with ice. That means for my $3.50, I got two sips. Not cool at all. I must me a glutton for punishment. This place is always understaffed. Only because the food hits the spot and parking is reasonably easy, do I continue to come here. Update. Greeted promptly. Staff was efficient and friendly. Most of my order was good. With exception of the shake. It was quite simply the worst shake ever made. They grinder ice cubes and then added ice cream is what it seemed like. I could hear the ice being added to the cup and blended. I watched also. It was nearly impossible to drink. I had a 1/2 cup of ice remaining.
I was taken to this place by a friend and while I must say the food was prepared to my satisfaction I felt that my experience was diminished by the awkward behavior of my hostess and the aloof nature of my server. I am unsure if I was judged unfairly or if these people were merely having a bad day. Despite their behavior towards me, I enjoyed my meal.
I really want to love this place but the spaghetti and meatballs are just blah. I have so much better at Mary's pizza and other places. I'm sure the other stuff in the menu is good.
