Solid. If you know a local Chinese restaurant in upstate New York, this one fits right in! Food tastes good.
Love their chicken curry
Best place around Chinese food!!!
Great food and great people
Always great food.
Delicious! Friendly staff!
Excellent Chinese food.
Best Chinese food!
Hot, we'll prepared, good service and clean. Not overpriced like most places in town. Remember, NO CREDIT CARDS.
Food is always hot and delicious! Very friendly staff!
Good Chinese food. The woman taking the orders is very nice.
We love eating here. Megan is very nice
Best Chinese food in the area!! Friendly reminder, they don't take credit or debit!
Quick service, plenty of food!!!
Friendly service and good Chinese food!
Excellent traditional Chinese takeout.
Great variety, good food
Good food nice friendly staff
Great food
Best Cheese Wonton in the area 😋 just explodes with flavor!! Friendly staff. Always willing to substitute Lo Mein for my order. it's always perfect. I ask for more spice kick in my regular order, General Tso's chicken. They deliver with a spice so nice it brings a satisfaction sweat and a smile 😃 ! Egg Rolls are delicious and filling! Wife and myself are always happily impressed. Hands down our favorite area take out!! You won't find better, near or far! Very highly recommended! Known as customer -8484 Always VERY Happy 😊 My hat is off to the staff. Fantastic!
The lady at the counter was extremely pleasant. It was an honor to dine at this fine establishment!
Not sure where this mean woman was but I had a pleasant experience here. I asked for a beef and broccoli combo dinner that wasn't on the menu and there where no issues, they kindly obliged me. Will return if I'm in the area!!
I absolutely love this place. So glad to have moved here and get to eat this amazing food. Cash only, 10-15 minute waits, fresh and delicious.
A bit expensive but the quality is really good, theres plenty of food for leftovers and it tastes just as good if not better the next day. Biggest thing to remember is CASH only. They do not take any cards.
I've moved around plenty in my life, from the tri state area to parts of the South and midwest. Everywhere I have traveled I have tried the local Chinese food takeouts. These guys are legitimately the best around Cooperstown, oneonta or the cobleskil area. I love living in a remote area, and having top notch Chinese food makes it even better!!
Delicious Chinese food. Fair prices. Call ahead to order since they are often busy. People drive 30 miles for this place. Cash only.
Take out only. No dining in. Also this place is CASH only, no cards. Right next to Family Dollar in the little strip mall. It was super close to our hotel. Don't forget to grab forks off the table, like we did.
Freshest Chinese food I've ever had. Everything was delicious. Restaurant was extremely clean.
Good food for the price. Quick service if you call ahead. Cash only.
The food here is excellent. I stopped here for dinner to stop my Chinese food craving and I was delightfully surprised. The menu has plenty of options. I enjoyed all of my selections. The staff was polite and helpful. It is a take out restaurant with no seating inside. Easy to spot from the road. Plenty of parking.
Quick service, Good food. Cash only. Takeout only, no dining area. I genuinely don't know why there are so many bad reviews on this place, I suppose I can understand the complaints about service, but the lady that took our order was nice. I dont think peolle leave good reviews as much as they do bad ones, just in general. you're more likely to leave a review if it was bad... Let me run you through my experience :) This place is cash only, luckily we use NBT and there is a Nbt bank in the same plaza so that was an easy fix for us. We went in and ordered our usual, 2 quarts chicken and broccoli, 1 order of steamed pork dumplings and 1 order of crab Rangoons. we paid around 50 dollars, and in my opinion that's very reasonable for Chinese food. It's Similar priced to what we're used to paying at other Chinese food places. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, so we sat down on the chairs near the door and waited. There is no dining area, takeout only. I think we waited about 10-15 minutes, got our food and ate in the car. when I pulled the container of chicken and broccoli out of the bag I was FLABBERGASTED. It was sooo heavy!! The portion sizes were amazing!! same goes for the dumplings, they were so big that they BENT the plastic forks we were given!! as for flavor, the dumplings and sauce was delicious, same goes for the crab Rangoons, very flavorful! I would say the chicken and broccoli could have used a bit more garlic, but otherwise also very good!!
I love this place, The food is always fresh:) I get seafood delight and it is the best I’ve ever had:) The lady behind the counter is amazing!! she is always smiling and happy I just love her. I drive from an hour and a half away to Cooperstown and I stop every single time to eat here. I wish they would open a place by me in Andes Ny, Best Chinese food in upstate New York Today I wanted to try something else so I got General Tso and it’s delish
This place was fast friendly extremely delicious healthy portions with a mouth-watering look to the food I dare you not to try it general toast was amazing

Very great meal as always! The chicken lo mein and curried tofu broccoli snow peas was very good. Lovely people as well
Stopped here after a day at the fields. Service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious with very generous portions and great prices. Crab Rangoon and potstickers (stuffed full and the best we've ever had) were great. Also ordered noodles with chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and hot and sour soup. Highly recommend for a quick meal to takeout after a busy day.
This is some of the absolute best Chinese take out I've ever had. The wonton soup is unbelievably good. If you're in the Cooperstown area, stop on by. It's well worth it.
This restaurant makes the best wonton soup I've ever had! Portions are generous and any dish I've ordered has been extremely flavorful. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable for the area. It's close to a major medical center and my family orders dinner from China Wok anytime we have an appointment.
Food is amazing! Super fresh and delicious! The customer service is great. Only downside is it is a bit pricey but it’s worth it. Also be aware they only take cash.

Good Chinese
Great Chinese! Best in the area.
Good food
Best Chinese food in the area.
Friendly service good food
Takeout only, cash only. I’ve been coming here for many years and the food is always tasty.
Foods good but lady at counter needs to.work on her customer service skills
Sweet and sour chicken is good cheese wontons are good
Better than average Upstate NY Chinese.
LOWEST GREASE of Chinese Restaurants in the area!! ...MAYBE on the WORLD!!! NO NOODLES ON TAKEOUT MEALS..NOT EVEN SOUP!!! CHEAPSKATES!!!
Decent Chinese. Boneless ribs were good. Wonton Soup was great, had a darker colour than most Chinese restaurants. Sesame chicken could have been better. Fried wontons (meat) were impeccable 👌 Service was fast and polite (Despite many reviews stating the staff were rude) . Best Chinese near the Hospital!
Good Chinese food from a strip mall in upstate New York? Yes, indeed. I get take out from China Wok a couple times a year when I'm visiting Cooperstown. Their vegetarian fare is comparable to average Chinese restaurants in Boston. The veggies are fresh and I have to say the white steamed rice is a cut above. They're accommodating of special requests (adding tofu to a broccoli dish, for example). The food is very reasonably priced. I'm not sure I'd want to dine in the small restaurant, but it seems clean and warm when I've been in. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't take credit or debit cards. Pricewise, they are much cheaper than I'm used to for the Boston area.
Ordered fried dumplings but received steamed..no problem. They were delicious, never saw dumplings as big as these.
China Wok was a really nice experience, especially on the customer service aspect. They asked if I had food allergies first and took my order. When I arrived to pick up my food, I was greeted immediately and the lady at the front was extremely nice and even thanked me for ordering with them. The food is really delicious. I ordered the Singapore chow mei fun, fried dumplings, chicken and broccoli with white rice and chicken fried rice. (Not all for myself, lol) but everyone was saying how much they enjoyed their meal. The only downfall is that it is cash only. I was lucky enough to actually have some cash on me today. But overall experience was definitely a good one.

Ok food not the greatest and definitely higher prices than non rural places . Not a stop for me.
Good food and service not too pricey
Tourist town dining! They don't care!
Good food but they act funny with u when they don't know your a local. And they're food selection is very limited and over priced, considering how Chinese food is in the city
The food just wasn't all that good. The beef from beef and 🥦 was really tough. The dish lacked flavor. It was pricy. The egg rolls taste like they are premade/frozen.
Lady working the desk is extraordinarily grumpy but the food is decent. I wouldn’t order the General Tso - they cook the chicken ahead of time, like a day or two ahead.
** Very sad that they have become so expensive. Has the cost of business gotten so out of control that Chinese takeout is a weeks worth of groceries? We have eaten there for so many years and now the menu is triple what it used to cost. No small portions available and dish sizes have decreased. For almost $100 I know how to cook and will eat at home. It was just a nice treat for every so often. **Always friendly. Calls me by name when I come in. Portions are great and prices are good. True they do not take cards but if it keeps their costs down I have a check book.

Food here when I lived in Cooperstown 14 years ago was good!Tonight it was terrible and triple the price!
Mess up order. Rude as hell
Restaurant accepts cash only. The Chinese food is good but I expect that with how much it costs. Last but not least the lady who works the front desk is loud and rude. She gets snippy if you ask questions as if somehow you are magically supposed to know the answers. I like to sit down and enjoy my food at lunchtime but I think I'll do that somewhere else due to the fact that old tomahawk in there makes it very uncomfortable.
Fried dumplings and wonton soup were not very good. Maybe the other items in the menu are better.
I’m confused by this place, I ordered sesame chicken I couldn’t believe how big the chicken was sauce not good and not enough for the huge pieces of chicken, and the fried dumplings huge and not in a good way …. The woman at the counter rude !!
The food used to be ok, but in the past year it has gotten to the point of being worse than frozen PF Chang's. How do you screw up pork lo mein ? Yesterday I got general tso's lunch combo - mushy chicken balls and mushy fried rice. Drive a few miles to Oneonta for good Chinese food.

Gross
If you go to Cooperstown and it looks like most people go up there for the baseball Hall of Fame and you want Chinese food. I do not recommend this place. The food is terrible and the woman that works the counter is the worst and most mean person I have ever met and given business to this place should be closed down. It is filthy and the food is terrible. Wait till you go back home to have Chinese food and don't eat here you'll be wasting your money. Trust me I will never go here again. Someone should build right next to it. There's a vegan store and all you can eat Chinese buffet. That is better food than what they are serving. The lady didn't even know what kind of beef was in the beef and broccoli when I asked her terrible stay away from this place!
Dirty , rude, scared to eat the food. The grime on the walls, floors , and look up major dust and cob webs. Grossed out
So over-the-top rude as to be breathtaking. Although frequent visitor I now would rather starve than revisit.
Walked in 45 minutes before closing and said they were not taking orders. Really?!
Food is good but restaurant is cold and not very clean.
The lady at the counter is the rudest walked right out She must not like kids So don’t take your kids there
They wouldn't accept my check from Schuyler Lake. No more business from me!!
Lady behind counter was super rude. Will never go back
Wonton soup is tasteless with uncooked vegetables
Ordered takeout. Was given chicken instead of tofu. Called and the person said said she recognized that our order is always vegetarian and she confirmed “general Tso” at pick up (not one order of genera Tso chicken and one tofu). Refused to acknowledge communication error during the order and at pick up. Offered no recourse. Third issue with this restaurant and won’t order from them again.
Use to be good. Now prices are not reasonable I don’t care if they claim inflation.
How am I the first person in to order after they open and my food tastes like it's been sitting over night on the counter. Everything tasted moldy. First customer in and can't even get fresh food
Horrible food. Expensive and the lady behind counter is NASTY. Place is dirty. Do not waste your money.
Think the food all came out of a frozen bag
I ordered vegetable lomein and there was hardly any vegetables in it, It was mostly noodles and sauce and also the pork fried rice hardly any vegetables and meat. I was very disappointed 😞
The woman at the counter is extremely discourteous and unpleasant. they do not accept credit cards and they want just cash. I do not recommend.
The lady at the counter is very rude and unpleasant. Accepts cash only. The food is ok.

Really among the worst Chinese food that I have ever had. Also, the priciest in the area. The house special soup was filled with huge pieces of celery. The Singapore .Mei Fun would burn your tongue out (and I like spicy food). It's a one time place for sure.
The place has been around for ages. Once upon a time it was decent but those days are long gone. Even still up until a few years ago if you were willing to go next door to the grocery store and buy a bottle of your own sauce you can at least get something hot to eat that didn't cost a lot of money. The owners or whoever deals with you at the counter has always made you feel like they hate you and that hasn't changed. Had not been in a few years and out of desperation and short on time I grabbed some general tso's chicken or so I thought. Clearly the portion for the meal was about half of what I remember it just a few years ago. Same situation with the sauce but there was something really weird about the "chicken". I don't think it was actually chicken. They were these weird freezer burned tasting balls. One bite nearly turned my stomach. And I paid way too much! I want to say I paid the better part of $20 for one meal. So over the years they went from tolerable to pretty bad to the point where they really just need to go away. It's insulting. Family moves to our small town to open up a little Chinese restaurant and everybody welcomes it and embraces it and spends hard earned money there. And from day one they treat you like your beneath them and an inconvenience to serve. Then to make matters worse they continually raise the prices and cut corners because they know there isn't anything else around and many of the baseball families will spend the money before they know any better. And what's it matter to the owners? They'll have made their money and then next week a new family will come to town and the cycle repeats. I honestly don't understand how anybody spends money in there but I suppose that's my own opinion. You were welcomed here, people. Show a little appreciation and have some respect. For a lot of us locals a dollar is hard to come by. Maybe treat people with that understanding instead of juicing the place for all its worth and laughing your way to the bank And cash only ? I can dig it but with what's going on in there, I think the question needs to be asked: Whatcha up to in there??
Very nasty lady waited on me. She was friendly to the locals, the 2 that came in, that is. The food used to be better and they should at least take a debit card. Next time im in town I'll go to Jive where they feed you well, and with a smile.
Food was disgusting. Neither of us ate our 40 bucks worth of food. Online prices are not correct! Combos say 9.95 they are 13.95. Edamme is listed as 5.50 it was 7. They only take cash, and there is no dining in.
Do not eat here. This place is utter garbage. The prices are way too high, the staff is terrible, and the food tastes like trash. My father found metal shavings in his meal…the health department needs to take a look at this place ASAP.
Been coming here a long time but stopped the price of everything nearly went up 50% and they changed the food it just seemed to be overpriced and the food cheap. But I decided to treat myself to a night off from cooking and took a chance. Bad idea. I ordered GenTso Chicken. I got home and they were basically round balls of chicken , I never had ever round balls of Gen Tso Chicken. Tasted frozen , not fresh. A couple of sprigs of greens and watery GenTso sauce . 2 orders of the bowl not the combo cost $36.00, I wasted my money which I don't have much of ! but decided to treat myself to a night, so I didn't have to cook after a long day. I feel bad I wasted $36.00 on round balls chicken called Gen Tso. Never ever in any Chinese restaurant was I ever served round frozen, tasted microwaved chicken and soaked in watery sauce and called it Gen Tso chicken. Awful. Business has dropped off there and it no wonder, I'm done going to China Wok.
Super expensive. They only accept cash and take advantage of the fact that there’s no competition in this small town.
