Had a great dinner here. Love that they are open late. The chefs are amazing and the service was great.

This was a very remarkable first din-in experience I’ve had in a very long time. I was served promptly and attentively from start to finish as soon as I sat down. The presentation of these dishes taste as good as they look! I got beef dumplings, the Shaggy Dog, Tornado Roll, The Sakana spirit, and the crazy boy. I will definitely be coming back!! This place is definitely worth the price. Expect to pay around $40 a person. (Super delicious sushi!!!!)

We had a wonderful dining experience here! The sushi was delicious and you can really tell the chef is very skilled and professional. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. They even surprised us with three extra plates of sushi, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this place!

Our recent visit to Sakana Sushi-Sake-Grill was largely delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we appreciated the restaurant's clean ambiance and the warm welcome from the staff, who promptly seated us and served water and gave us the menus to order. We started with our usual vegetable and shrimp tempura in appetizer both perfectly crispy and delicious. And for main we order the Rainbow Roll and California Tempura Roll were also amazing, fresh and expertly prepared. We did notice they have a full bar for drinks including hot & cold sakes, cocktails, wines, beer, etc. They offer a limited happy hours menu daily from 3-6pm as well including drinks. However, a couple of issues did detract from an otherwise excellent meal. We found the wasabi lacked freshness, which was a minor disappointment. More significantly, our hostess was little pushy about clearing dishes, attempting to take plates away while we were still actively eating. This felt rather disrespectful and rushed. Aside from these points, we had no other complaints and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. Food was reasonably priced and the bill came with two small slices of taiyaki filled with ice cream. Amazing and light dessert to end a meal.

Very good sushi!! I don’t even really like sushi, but my wife loves it. After having this sushi from here, I love it as well. Will definitely be coming back. Ownership is very nice, I was having a hard time over the phone losing signal, so there was miscommunication with the Restaurant. Because of this they gifted me a free side order as well. Awesome place, great customer service.

Amazing service. We were greeted immediately and seated wherever we liked. The food was also amazing. The seared salmon was so smooth and fresh tasting, the rolls were also good. This is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to, and I’ve been to Japan. Will definitely be back, thank you for a great experience!

Has to be hands down the best sushi place. So clean, fresh and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. I recommend Ranger roll and lobster roll. California roll is basic go to if you like. Fries were delish too. I highly recommend this place.

Hubs brought me here for my birthday on a Wednesday, since I was craving sushi (while pregnant). We ordered 3 of their cooked rolls, Shaggy Dog Roll, Ultimate Eel Roll, and Baked Salmon Roll. Our favorite was the Shaggy Dog! Service was a little hands off, but our orders were taken quickly and food made quickly as well. Great quality sushi and great flavors. When they brought the check, they gave us small pieces of a strawberry sauce and vanilla ice cream tayaki. What a nice way to end the meal! We will definitely be back!

This place is the best! Never disappointed with dine-in or take-out! Love all the options! You have to try the Brussel sprouts! Full service bar! Overall an amazing spot! Update: dined-in with a lovely family member of mine. Took her there for the first time and everyone was so welcoming and pleasant. There are so many rolls to chose from and a variety of entrees. This place has a great atmosphere and is so elegant!

Sushi Sakana has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Coppell! A few weeks ago I stopped by during their lunch hours and ordered a spicy chicken bento box lunch special. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the service was outstanding! The sushi was very fresh, the chicken was cooked well. The prices during lunch are also a great value for the serving of food that you get. The other day, I decided to stop by for dinner during happy hour. This time we ordered quite a bit more food. Pan-seared dumplings, two rolls of sushi, and ramen for dinner. Everything was top-notch. The dumplings were crispy, sushi was just as fresh as the first time, and the ramen was probably some of the best I’ve ever had. It was savory, lightly spicy, and a great portion of toppings. The staff was very personable and quick to meet our needs. To top off our dinner, we were given a little bite of ice cream on the house with our check. Overall, I highly recommend Sushi Sakana, I am looking forward to the next time I can go back!!

We loved our time at Sakana Sushi. We came for Happy Hour, and enjoyed their Baked Salmon Roll, and Spicy Tuna Hand Roll. Ordered the Katsu Curry, Eel and Avocado Roll and Miso soup. All so delicious and reasonably priced (under $60). Service was exceptional - we’ll definitely come back.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations! The service was just as incredible. Yubika was awesome — so kind, attentive, and professional. She truly made us feel welcomed and valued. All the girls there took such great care of me and my two daughters, making sure we had everything we needed the entire time. It’s not easy to find a place where both the food and service are this outstanding. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

We had a great time! The happy hour specials are awesome. The food and drinks were excellent. Yukiba provided wonderful service! And we got two roll pieces along with little ice cream desserts on the house! My husband says the ice cream is why we keep coming back, but I say it’s the whole experience!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sakana in Coppell is one of our absolute favorite spots for Japanese cuisine. Every time we visit, the food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. On this visit, we ordered the vegetable tempura, calamari, crunch roll, sunshine roll, and super shrimp roll—and everything was outstanding. The vegetable tempura was perfectly crispy and light, not greasy at all. The calamari was tender, well-seasoned, and a great starter. As for the sushi rolls, each one had its own unique flavor and was beautifully prepared. The crunch roll had the perfect texture, the sunshine roll was fresh and vibrant, and the super shrimp roll was absolutely amazing. What keeps us coming back is not just the food, but the overall experience. The service is always friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the quality is consistently top-notch. If you are looking for great sushi and Japanese food in Coppell, Sakana is definitely a must-visit.

Stopped in somewhat on accident and had quite possibly the freshest and most delicious sushi in DFW. The 3 chefs were very skilled at their craft. Presentation was delightful. The staff were super friendly and attentive, almost too attentive, reaching and asking to remove plates right as you took your last bite. This isn't worthy of a full point deduction, but it made us feel slightly rushed. making us feel very slightly rushed. They did gift us with 2 bonus bites and taiyiki ice cream for dessert. If you're overwhelmed in what to order staff's recommendations were perfect. Highly recommend this place!

Traveling for work, I grabbed a to-go order to take back to my hotel, mostly because it was the closest place. Picking it up, the hostess was very pleasant and welcoming. A big smile and perfectly packaged food. Back at the hotel, I dug in and it was fantastic!! Fresh, flavorful, great presentation as well. Really exceeded my expectations and made my day just that much better. I would go out of my way to come back here next time I’m in town!

Delicious and generous sized dishes! Nice and timeless decorations. Clean restrooms. Great bar selections. Attentive staff. It was a little empty when we arrived and I truly don’t know why this place is great and more people should come!

The sushi seemed a bit over priced for the rolls but the service was good. I went around 4 pm on a weekday. Not busy at all. The atmosphere was good and clean. The service was good. The lady that served us was cool. The food was just ok. The ginger seemed to maybe be old because it lost its flavor. We wanted hot cooked sushi but didn’t see it in the menu. They do have a lot of options so we could have missed it.

Probably the best sushi spot on Denton Tap! The service, atmosphere, and food are all excellent. I usually order via Uber Eats since I work & watch my kid from home, but my only gripe is the rising prices and smaller portion sizes. I understand they have to keep up with costs, but it’s starting to feel a bit pricey when it consistently takes $50+ to feel full.

Great atmosphere but didn’t like the service. My friend ordered sushi roll and I ordered curry. Her food came out quickly and mine came out when my friend was more than half done. I really wish they served our food close to together.

Servers were incredibly rude and inconsiderate, with little consideration to accommodation, food allergies, or food waste. My family had come here the day before and had a wonderful experience. Wanting to share since we came to visit, they brought us today (group of 6). Sadly, the service did not match the day prior, and we were all let down. Despite the lack of a rush, our server was pushy and pressed us to order when we asked for more time. Then upon ordering, they refused to let one of us order a children’s beef teriyaki $12.50, all because she didn’t “look 14 or under”, which was apparently a new policy they put in place since coming the day before. Trying to explain she didn’t have a big appetite and didn’t want to waste food, they refused to offer an alternative. She opted for the bento $15.50. Between the soup, salad, and two sides included in the bento that couldn’t be finished, I fail to see how the business saved money denying her original request. We proceeded to order, with a shellfish allergy explained. To “compensate” the denial, they later brought us out a crab dish on the house. While we appreciated the gesture, it was clear they lost sight of considering the people in front of them between their chase to pinch pennies. The thing that is most frustrating is knowing the business ultimately spent more money denying us than they saved between cost and food waste. The food is nowhere near incredible enough to warrant this kind of treatment. They’re capable of better service, but it was not given today. Incredibly disappointing.
