Tip: The medium lunch portion is the same size as the large dinner portion, just served on a smaller plate, so the large isn’t really worth it.

Phenomenal experience every aspect of this dining experience was top notch! The food was prepared and presented beautifully. The restaurant has many different types of seating to accommodate whatever guests want to experience.
Absolutely amazing restaurant! I ordered a calzone and what I loved so much about it was that the bread was soft, which I feel is rare to find The bread sticks they had were also amazing. They were very soft and were delicious. The food came out hot as well Kaylee was an amazing waitress. Even though we were the only ones on the back patio, she still kept checking on us and was very friendly. She went above and beyond I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or anyone visiting
Nice Italian restaurant, stopped in during happy hour & really enjoyed their bruschetta. The pasta trio was good and our waitress was exceptional. $20 plates with lots of options. They serve free bread too which was soft and fresh. They have a really nice intimate dining area that looks like whisky barrels which is super cool HOWEVER tall people beware, you’ll be leaning over as they aren’t very tall so maybe go for a table but still fun. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
We waited for about ten minutes before we were seated. Not bad at all. The server came immediately and got drinks. I got the amaretto sour and a lemon drop. The sour was extra extra sour but not bad. The lemon drop was good. I also got the chicken Caesar salad with chicken. The salad was amazing. It was fresh and the chicken was fresh. The inside was beautiful to look at. I like the artsy feeling that you get when you are there. Good place.
My kids took me out for a birthday dinner and it was wonderful. Even with dietary limitations I was able to find several dishes on the menu that were acceptable for my needs. I had the salmon which was flaky and not too dry with a house salad. Everyone else in my party of 8 had their favorite pasta dishes. We all left satisfied and full. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return.
My aunt and I decided to take my fiancé here for dinner on his birthday it was and amazing experience. Our server Ariana was amazing. She was patient with us and she was very attentive to our table.the food was amazing and so were the drinks . All together we had a great time thank you so much Ariana we will be back ♥️
I have been coming here for a few years now. They have indeed become better! Each dish is layered with its own unique spices and sauces. Even their drinks are super delicious… although their Smokey is aesthetically pleasing in presentation, there were waaaayyy too many little ice cubes making it very watery and lacking that layered flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by their Italian cream soda AAAAAND their Italian caffe with brandy… gosh… just so good. Previously I ordered their frutti de mar … asked for the lemon wine sauce instead of red sauce and asked them to make it spicy… it hit the spot with just enough kick to make it delicious! Their build your own pasta… tomato cream … 🤤… just lovely… well… looks like I forgot to take photos of my food
Giovanni's is one of my favorite local restaurants, the prices have gone up a few over the last couple years but that's all normal. I tried the pasta fagioli soup this time in looking for a non meat option that wasn't salad. It was good. Needs to be loaded with a little more pasta and beans but it was good.
The medium lunch portion is the same size as the large dinner portion—just served on a smaller plate, so the large isn’t really worth it. That aside, the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic, with beautiful seating and artwork. The food is excellent, and I’d highly recommend it as a date spot.
I've been resting from Giovanni since 2017 when they were in a shopping plaza and they've never disappointed me. A few weeks ago, I ordered one of my favorite pasta dishes..canneloni and fresh rolls. The cheese is so gooey and the bread is always fresh. The best thing is to save a little bread and dip it in the sauce pan. Omg absolutely delicious!! If you dine in my favorite is to eat in the wine barrel room.
Have purchased "to go" meals before and was very pleased but went on 19 Oct and it was very different. Got to the front desk and said I was going to order. Rather than a friendly response, I was told to go to the bar to order. I knew this but got zero eye contact or pleasantess with the response. The fellow at the bar was very cordial. The order however now included no salad as before and the portion was much smaller than the table serving. I share this only because I like the food and use to feel valued even with take out. Not so much any more... Unfortunate
Just finished having lunch here for the first time. The astethics is gorgeous! I will say the music is loud that I couldn’t hear my spouse, and I couldn’t hear our waiter because, he was also soft spoken. The food was Delicioso! Minus the stuffed mushrooms (my taste buds were not fond of). But I had to ask for a different napkin because, the first one had what looked like dog hair. And the second one that was brought to me had a lot of what looked like makeup stains. I had to use the paper napkins that were brought with the soup. I left a note for the manager on suggesting to change them all together. Get new napkins!
First time ordering from here. There was a chain in FL that we loved when we lived there- so we thought we would give this a try. We ordered pick up on a Friday night. Food was ready fast, and we were already waiting in the parking lot. Pick up was a bit unorganized as the hostess said to go to the bar, but no one was at the bar. We got our food within a couple minutes of walking in, though, and within 25 minutes or ordering. We tried the mozzarella sticks in the car, and they were warm- at best. Definite not worth what we paid for 5 tiny sticks. They tasted premade and microwaved. We also got the lasagna and the chicken parm with spaghetti noodles, and a personal pepperoni pizza for the kid since there wasn’t a kids menu online. The lasagna was definitely a HEFTY portion and quite delicious. Was hot, even when we got home (we live about 5 min away). The chicken parm was decent. The chicken was only warm inside, but still fully cooked (seemed microwaved) and the noodles could definitely use more sauce, but the flavor was there. The personal pizza impressed the 5 year old and she gobbled it up. It was, like almost everything else, warm, and thick dough. But she loved it. Was just cheesy enough to impress her, but overpriced for the size. We will be back, but will eat in next time as it seems the to-go quality isn’t too great.
Giovanni’s is, from the outside, a great looking Italian Restaurant in Copperas Cove that we have always wanted to try. We stopped for lunch on Tuesday. There were plenty of open tables and we were seated right away. The fountain inside is a nice touch, but we sat right next to it, and it is surprisingly loud. The fountain along with the music being played made for a high level of background noise. We got used to it, and we like the fountain, but it just made for a loud lunch with very few people in the restaurant. We’ll ask not to be seated next to the fountain if we go back. We got the Frittura Di Calamari for an appetizer and a large Supreme Pizza for our meal. The calamari was a disappointment. It was not crispy and lacked much flavor. It was a nice sized portion but needed to be cooked longer with some more Italian seasoning. We won’t get it again. The supreme pizza was good. You can see from the pictures that there were plenty of toppings and the crust around the outside of the pizza was good, but the crust under the pizza was not crisp enough to support a piece when you picked it up. Our only criticism would be that there could have been more sauce, but that’s more of a personal preference. Overall, we liked Giovanni’s, and we might consider going back again if we’re in the area to try some of their classic main courses. The ambiance is good, just don’t sit right next to the fountain!
My reviews are never done for comps, free food, coupons, etc... I ordered dinner to go... -I noticed that there was only 1 table that had people seated. -No staff, other than the young lady at the entryway was there. -I was directed to the bar area to pickup my order... I waited 10 minutes before someone, anyone showed up. When I got home... - The grilled chicken is not grilled... it has fake grill marks. -The pasta was under cooked, clumped in a ball, mostly dryed out due to the sparse amount of sauce. -A small amount of sauce was placed on top of the pasta, and was only covering maybe ¼ of said pasta, which caused all the uncovered parts to dry out, stick together, get hard. -Atleast they could of ensured the sauce covered all the pasta, avoiding it from being (severely) stuck together. -the meal chewy, undercooked, hard, dry, disappointing. -Hopefully, the other restaurants aren't as bad as the Copperas Cove, TX location... DO BETTER
This place has good esthetic and can accommodate large groups. However, I was disappointed that the food was bland, mushy and over-all plate presentation wasn't appealing. Perhaps service could have been better if they had provided more help with a group of 10 guests. Staple items at the table such as beverages and bread were not accommodated.
Update: Nope. No. Please bring the yumminess back :( This restaurant now reminds me of the ones they would show on Kitchen Nightmares. The place really needs a make over, everything looks so old and outdated, and we got sick after we left with really bad stomach pains and diarrhea through the night. No doubt the food because those of us who ate here were the only ones who got sick for the night. My food wasn't cooked all the way and my dessert was stale. The service is still amazing which is sad for the servers because the food probably hurts their tips when people don't come back. Old review when this was one of my favorite places..... Food looks and tastes like what you would expect from the menu. Little pricey for the fact that it's close to Olive Garden's food, but you have to pay more for food in this area that is consistent with good service. Servers are always nice and accommodating with special requests or questions. It can get a bit loud in the barrel seating when nig parties are seated in the room because of acoustics. Barrel seating is more for 2 but you can squeeze a smaller 3rd person in if needed. Keep in mind the curve of the barrel if you're tall. It's also a hard bench if you have back issues. Salad is cold and crisp, I've gotten a soggy or brown piece every now and then. Appetizers are okay. Main courses are tasty. Desserts are okay, nothing great. Speciality drinks are really good. Kids will like the novelty of the place. Dress nice casual or fancy but no one cares if you're in shorts and flip flops, pretty laid back atmosphere. I would do 5's if food was more from scratch, sauces were fresher, desserts were more homemade than store bought, noise levels were considered in certain areas with big parties.
I am beyond disappointed with Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant in Copperas Cove, Texas. We ordered four large pizzas to go last night, and today, when my child attempted to take his third bite of a leftover slice, he bit into something very hard. Thankfully, he didn’t chip his tooth, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a metal washer, partially hidden under the cheese after it was bitten into. When we reported the issue to the manager, he was rude and questioned why we didn’t notice it until the next day. He requested a picture and proceeded to say it looked like a washer from the oven. It is hard to believe the washer would be in the sauce and completely covered by the cheese if it came off the oven after all ingredients were placed on the pizza. It’s clear that this restaurant’s quality control is severely lacking, and they do not prioritize customer satisfaction. The food is already expensive, and to find metal in it is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the manager’s response was less than apologetic. When asked if he would remake the pizza, he begrudgingly agreed, but his tone and attitude made it clear that this was not an isolated incident. This is not the first time customers have encountered issues with metal in their food, and based on the manager's dismissive attitude, it seems to be a recurring problem. This is a serious safety concern, and the fact that it was hidden under the cheese in the middle of the pizza suggests a lack of proper inspection. The restaurant claims to prioritize quality and customer satisfaction, but based on my experience, they are sorely lacking in both professionalism and basic food safety standards. I’ve recommended this location more times than I can count, and to see this is how they treat their customers is extremely disappointing. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and will be taking my business elsewhere.
