Our waitress was fantastic. The food was incredible - there was nothing I tried that wasn’t good. My favorite was definitely the dish I ordered, though - Evia Shrimp Lunch (soooo delicious). Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious food and some of the best service I've ever experienced! Lucas was amazing and seemed to be running everything while we were there. He gave us great suggestions on both the food and beverages, recommended the perfect Greek wine to go with our dish, and timed everything perfectly. We look forward to going back and trying more dishes!
I had a very pleasant experience. The baklava was served flambe style. There was a most awesome belly dancer, and our server was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back.
What a great first experience! We went in for a quick lunch and it did not disappoint. Our waitress, Alyssa walked us through the menu pointing out her personal favorites and she makes a killer cucumber martini. We just ordered appetizers this time around, but will be back for dinner with friends soon.
Every visit exceeds the last! I am just so in love with this menu. I definitely have found my favorites- Evia Shrimp, the fun street-food style Feta Pretzels, and Sunday Brunch's Shrimp & Grits** (shrimps are absolutely massive, could be U10+) ..while definitely trying to order something new every time. Chef Ariel served a serious desert special with molten Nutella & raspberries... You just cannot go wrong dining here! Service is attentive & welcoming, eager to serve and knowledgable. Nico, the owner, is per usual the most professional and passionate host of any restaurant I have been to. He designs & personally prepares the dinner specials! Ribs with apple chutney were incredible the other night.
Tried Taverna Evia for the first time. Greeted right away and had excellent service throughout the meal. The salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all authentic Greek and excellent. Restaurant was well kept and everything was very clean. Will return again in the future:)
This place was DELICIOUS!! Service was excellent, and fast! Compliments to the chef for coming out to introduce herself and see how our service and food was. The red snapper was spectacular. I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture.
This was our first visit to Taverna Evia and it won’t be our last! My husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere and our server Will was knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions! He was attentive and a pleasure to talk to! The Keftedes Platter was delicious, and the Santorini Sunset cocktail was amazing, thanks Will!!! We will definitely be going back!
There are things I’m glad about and this is one of them .. the original owners are back . AMAZING . I went last night and it brought great memories. The food is excellent and the service amazing ..
Had good lunch here recently. Really enjoyed their food especially moussaka. The service was a bit slow . Very decent price for lunch as well.
Usually you find me eating out by the ocean, but my friend recently ordered dinner in from Taverna Evia and insisted we have lunch there the very next day. I was surprised to find this lovely place nestled in a small shopping area right off University Drive, in Coral Springs, located only a few minutes from the mall. Upon arrival, we we greeted warmly and seated immediately, outside on a shaded, comfortable patio. We ordered from the lunch menu and both enjoyed Spanakopitas with a Greek salad. I simply love Spanakopita and found this one very tasty with the right ratio of phyllo and filling. It was a lovely, casual lunch and a good respite after a morning of serious holiday shopping! Now, I am anxious to return to sample the dinner menu. If I may make a suggestion, although the salad was quite fresh and delicious, my preference for a Greek salad is one without lettuce and one that contains chunk Feta. Perhaps I will ask for it this way on my next visit!
Best greek food in town really well done in a cozy environment that pleases the customers for sure. The skilled chef is right on preparing your choice plate! Taste fresh food and guaranteed entertainment. Friendly staff l, well managed and reasonable prices not considering alcohol drinks!
Living in such an international city such as Miami one would think they could get a decent Greek meal. But alas one must travel all the way to Coral Springs! First let's start off with the wonderful service of our waiter Lucas the Lucky Leprechaun. Lucas puts the Happy in Happy hour. A fine example of outstanding customer service who brought me to my Pot o' Gold.. the food! So let us discuss the gastronomy. The food was delicious. The Melitzanosalata was my favorite appetizer, so tasty! Followed by the Tirokafteri which was little salty but still really good. The octopus was cooked to perfection...so soft and tender. The Moussaka was definitely one of the best I have had since leaving New York. Even the simple and traditional Gyro was excellent, served with some of the best fries in town. The Gyro Meat was far superior to anything I have had in South Florida. Even though I was stuffed, I had to have dessert. The Galaktoboureko was out of this world along with the Karithopita which was so moist! A truly phenomenal dinning experience. 10 out of 10 food critics would recommend.
1st time trying the "best Greek restaurant" in Coral Springs for lunch and I couldn't agree more!! Food was excellent! Both chicken and gyro meats on our platters were cooked wonderfully. Came with two sides which we chose salad & fries. The fries were sooo good!! Good portions as well. Definitely coming back to try other menu items!! 🤗😋
Had a delicious Greek dinner at Taverna Evia on University Drive in Coral Springs. We had one of the inclusive dinners for two people that comes with a meatball appetizer, pita bread with tzatziki, Greek salad, entree of lamb chops, chicken skewers, sausage, gyro, lemon potatoes and vegetables (and it comes with dessert... walnut cake, baklava and galactoboureko). We also had a separate entree of Branzino fish that came with rice and vegetables. We left with a lot of food to take home. Everything was very tasty, and the service was excellent.

We had a 18 person retirement dinner. The food was excellent. They are unfortunately very understaffed which of course causes some issues. The one major issue that could not be ignored is that 5 of our group did not get there food until 15mins after the rest of the table, also they had a smaller portion of the same meal as others. The photo below is of the smaller portion of the sides.
Meet friends who live in the area and have been here before. Started with an ok Beet salad, roasted beets, lettuce, feta, toasted walnuts, & onions tossed in Greek dressing that unfortunately was served with our entrees. My wife ordered the Moussaka, layers of roasted eggplant & potatoes with seasoned ground beef topped with a béchamel sauce. She really enjoyed it. I tried the Shrimp &Scallops Youvetsi, sauteed shrimp, scallops, feta cheese, onions, spinach, tomatoes, & garlic over orzo, just fair.
Food was good but a bit commercialized. Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. Food is cooked well but not really seasoned and not traditional Mediterranean tasting. Drinks are good and made strong. Out of all the food the Lamb Chops were delicious. The chicken is a bit dry, the gyro is thick cut and not seasoned. Tzatziki is delicious but the hummus taste prepackaged.

Loved the atmosphere and the music. The guy playing the guitar was awesome. Went in on a Friday night as a party of six and we were one of three tables. Hummus and pita was amazing, but that was where the great experience ended. It took 50 minutes to get the food and the waiter never even came over to explain what was taking so long. A table that came in after us got their food before we did. My husband got a burger and asked for it to be cooked medium. The patty was very thin and it was well done. We were too hungry to send it back. He said it was the worst burger he ever had. The falafel just wasn't good at all. My son got a chicken pasta dish and said it was pretty good. We asked for the check and the bartender must have noticed how long everything took for us because she came out with dessert and had the chef come and apologize for how long everything took, which was very nice. Unfortunately, I can't say that the dessert was very good, but again, it was a nice gesture. Based on this experience, I can't say that I'll ever return.

No No No & No Way. This is a place my hubby has been wanting to try for years. We finally did and its a no for us. We were greated right away by a friendly hostest/Server. Sat right away and after this, it soon went down hill. It was odd that there was only one other table besides ourselves inside and no one outside as when we visited Alehouse in the past, this place being right next to it, was always busy. We quickly noticed it was not really a Greek restaurant at all but still gave it a go. We ordered falafel and Greek salad to start, was ok. Falafel a bit off but it was nice. Nothing to complain about food wise, yet- But the guy singing on the patio, i regret to report, was not well and on top of an ill fated musical voice, was singing worship music to old 70s music tunes. This was extremely noticeable from the inside where we sat as we waited because every time someone would go out onto the patio, it would allow that voice in. After a time a our food arrived. My hubby ordered a Greek shrimp and scallops dish, i ordered spinach pie and sautéed spinach. When i share with you the words awful, i mean it. i have never said that to my server in my 47 yrs of life but i could not hold myself back from sharing these words with her. i could not even cut my pie with a knife. Both dishes of spinach had a funky taste. Being vegetarian, i truly did not trust that this food. i felt it was tainted some how with something that would make me sick. The food tasted dirty. It was undescribable except for the word awful. My hubbies dish was no better. It was a bowl full of tomato soup filled with orzo and topped with some feta. Shrimp and scallops? He dug for them. His words were, it's a joke and that his food was garbage. After sending my plate back, he obligated himself to eat the few pieces of meat out of his dish and paid the $30 for it. The server took my food off the tab and we still paid $60 for dinner. My encouragement would be to close the Greek side of your restaurant down because who ever is cooking has no clue about Greek food. They are using the same type of oil they are using for the island dishes as the Greek dishes. I know because I can't stand island food and I could not bear my food tonight.
