Gabose Korean BBQ is highly praised for its authentic Korean cuisine, especially the charcoal-grilled BBQ. Customers rave about the tasty food, generous side dishes, and attentive service. It's a popular spot for those seeking a genuine Korean dining experience.
Tip: Try the Korean BBQ with the charcoal grill for an authentic flavor. If you are unsure, ask the staff for help with grilling.
We’ve come here multiple times and it never disappoints. The charcoal-grilled BBQ is seriously so good — that smoky flavor hits every time. The food is always fresh and flavorful. The people working here are friendly and make you feel welcome. One of our go-to Korean BBQ places!
Hands down the best korean restaurant here. I have been going here for 3 years their beef tartare is the best! I would definitely recommend the beef tartare, the jichae (any kind), the bulgogi and jajaengmyeong is ok. The japchae was too salty and the pancake was not it.
Very delicious, truly delicious. The BBQ sauce is just right—not too sweet and not too salty. The menu is very extensive, with many authentic Korean dish names, which makes it feel genuinely authentic. I would definitely recommend it.
I have been looking for some traditional Korean food in Florida. Was so happy to finally find it here. I used to spend 1 or 2 months in Korea a year and came to love Korean food. We had a variety of traditional dishes. They were all great. The Deaji Bulgogi, and the beef Bulgogi were very good. My wife had the chicken bibimbop and she liked it.
Gabose Korean BBQ in Lauderhill is an absolute gem! As a first-timer to Korean BBQ, I was a little unsure what to expect, but the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, guiding me through the menu and even showing me how to best enjoy the delicious food. And the food... wow! The quality of the meat was outstanding, and the variety of banchan (side dishes) was impressive and so flavorful. Cooking at the table was such a fun and interactive experience, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. I left Gabose feeling completely satisfied and already planning my next visit. This place is perfect for anyone looking to try authentic Korean BBQ, whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete newbie like I was. I'll definitely be back!
This is out favorite korean restaurant on our trips to Fort Lauderdale. All the food is amazing! Our favorites are the bulgogi and the spicy meats for bbq. The place is really nice and the bbqs are heated with hot charcoal. Service could be a bit better though. Really recommended!
First time visiting with my daughter, I was pleased with everything from the service to the food. A 14yr girl can be quite judging lol but she found this place to be amazing, she had smiles from ear to ear from everything we tried. Will be coming back.
Went here with some friends and we sat at the BBQ table . The menu is quite large but if you're familiar with Korean food you can quickly figure out what you'd like. Everything we ordered was delicious. I love all the garnishes they bring in the side like the pickled cucumbers, kimchee, bean sprouts, and the sticky rice. The portions are decent for the price and you can tell it's good quality as well. We ordered the marinated short rib, and the beef as well as the marinated octopus and we were four people and it was more than enough. My favorite thing was the kimchee pancake which was huge and delicious. We also ordered this soup with shredded beef and fiddle head fern and sweet potato noodles that was also quite big and we shared between all of us. Overall it was a great dining experience especially because the food tasted very authentic and we were in great company. Loved it. Highly recommend to anyone in the lauderhill area who's hungry for some tasty authentic Korean fare.
We went for the charcoal bbq totally worth the money for the flavor you get from the charcoal. service was great especially from Susan when she saw us hyper focusing on the bbq she taught us how to enjoy our food while we grill the meat she was very helpful, and funny. The experience will definitely have us coming back
Authentic Korean food in a wonderful family owned restaurant, service is always amazing and friendly. Try the Korean BBQ with table top charcoal grill or any of the other dishes on their menu, there is plenty to choose from!

Love this Korean charcoal BBQ restaurant, meat is fresh and food overall is good! Quite expensive though!
I have eaten here many times since 2013 and its now 2025.. I keep coming back. Excellent authentic food, with great service. Better than any other Korean restaurant in this area.

This restaurant has something for everyone. This is My husband & I favorite Korean Family style Restaurant in South Florida! We Love coming here everyone welcomes us with open arms. Let’s not forget get the mane reason for writing The food is so delicious. So stop on in.
To say this is my favorite place in town is an understatement. This is the most authentic Korean food in south florida. If you ever go you will always see the owners. You can get bbq or very good traditional Korean dishes like the pork kimchi stir fry, steak tartare (it is the most delicious for those who are comfortable with raw food), bibimbap, kimchi pancakes etc…
This place is amazing. Efficient, friendly service. Excellent quality meat. I almost always go for the charcoal grill experience.
Authentic and delicious! Saundra my love and I stop in here every couple of weeks to enjoy our favorite Korean food. The food and service is always great, we have never had to wait, and the food is on the table straight from the stove. We have both spent time in Korea and we love gabose. ❤️
Friendly helpful staff and super fresh ingredients! It was our first time doing the BBQ after coming here for years and just ordering off the menu and we were pleasantly surprised how fun and easy it was! Everything tasted delicious! If you want an authentic dining experience, I highly recommend this place!!
This is amassing Korean place where you can enjoy different type of food and drink. Asian-Korean-Japanese style which create menu so intrigue and amassing. Also they always have the same staff working which are super polite and that is a sign that this restaurant is great place to enjoy. Also “Freddy” ( sorry if misspeled) the owner is always there to say hi and check on us. If you never been there and reading this post please go and try.
This is by far one of the best Korean barbecue restaurants I have ever been to. The service is exceptional, the welcome is always warm. Since I can’t comment on people who made negative comments on the service, I’d like to tell you to kick rocks. The food is consistently delicious, every bite, every siddha I ask for is amazing. Somebody wrote that the food was so good and they have been going to this restaurant for a long time, and then decided not to ever go again because of Service. Whoever you are, leaving a one star just because of that is just ridiculous and you shouldn’t be going to this restaurant anyway. Here’s a tip for you, ask for the scallion salad, it’s not on the menu, but you can thank me later. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone Who truly enjoys and appreciates Korean barbecue. And before you leave a review that is below five stars, maybe speak to the staff/management and allow them to make things right. Words can make a business, but it can also break it, so have some empathy will you? I’ll be back soon!! Thank you
Phenomenal genuine Korean cuisine with staff that matches the excitement and joy of the experience itself. This restaurant hits all the right spots and is an amazingly fun way to indulge in a delicious meal while creating great memories with family and friends. The staff is very kind, patient, and helpful. This is my second time eating here and I can happily say it won't be my last. Highly recommend!
Spicy BBQ Chicken- Super spicy and super flavorful. Even though the chicken may be a little dry, it still tastes amazing. The flavor is amazing. It is actually pretty spicy, so get your water ready! Bulgogi- Super tender and delicious. You can absolutely taste the flavors that the meat marinated in. This isn't spicy, so if you can't stand the spice, this is an awesome choice that won't disappoint. Overall, I would come here again and recommend this to everyone.
I'm happy my first experience with Korean charcoal BBQ was at Gabose. Well worth the wait on a Saturday night, we were able to grab drinks and appetizers at Gabose Pocha before being called for our charcoal grill table. Order the YANGYUM GALBI SAL GUI and DAEJI JUMUL LUK GUI and was very happy with how tender the meat came out even with the char the grill provided. The Banchan, or Korean side dishes, were well prepared and added the right variety of flavor and crunch to the meat and excellently prepared rice. If your feeling particularly hungry order the TUKPOKI and you won't be disappointed, boiled down and simmered table side this dish is definitely a treat. Round out the night with some soju and Korean beer and your bound to have a great night.
The best place to do Korean bbq on portable charcoal or propane stoves like they do in Korea. The beef bulgogo was delicious and had zero fat or gristle, so it was superior to the bulgogo we had across the street. Pricier than the smaller Korean cafes and coffee shops in the area, because this is where you’d take your future in laws for a nice meal. But the food, service and atmosphere are well worth what they charge. They had tables, booths, and even some small rooms for diners. They also have the best mandu, in that the filling and sauce were tastier and more complex than we’ve had elsewhere. The difference between these and the Chinese potstickers we’ve had is Korean filling will not usually have shrimp or ginger mixed with pork. The Korean mandu potstickers we had contained beef, a bit of garlic but not much, shredded onion and maybe shredded green onions or leeks and a hit of sesame oil, but not much. Really great mandu!!! The sauce was that sweet soy sauce mixture we’ve come to expect alongside good potstickers in the U.S., but better somehow. The side dishes were good: spicy potatoes (sliced, not cubed), Napa cabbage kim chi, cucumber kim chi, bean sprouts in sesame oil and garlic, soy beans in a sweet sticky soy sauce, The clientele and servers are a healthy mix of Koreans and local cultures. They are slightly more welcoming than last time we visited in that now they have a couple of young, cute local servers and the girl with the ponytail called out a welcome in Korean. Otherwise they are efficient and polite. I also ordered the Jajang Myung. The black bean sauce contained chunks of tender pork, cooked potatoes, onions and slivers of zucchini. The bed of noodles was well cooked. I found it a bit sweet and bland. I am a saltaholic plus my first jajang myung experience was an instant cup version and I liked it better. Which makes me an anti-expert. So try it, you might like it better than I did. But I mixed in some of the excellent side dishes and ate a ton of it. I imagined I was one of those KDrama stars scarfing up jajang myung. They also offer soju and other drinks from Korea.
my favorite kbbq place ❤️ The food is always amazing and the meat is TO DIE FOR!!! Servers are always very polite and efficient. Prices are a bit high but it is what it is and I think it's worth it! The japchae is AMAZING as well as the marinated boneless galbi and the seafood pancake is SO GOOD!! The teokbokki is very spicy but very good :)
We had the best time. The food was delicious and the entire staff was extremely helpful & attended to all of our needs. We will definitely be back!
I absolutely am in LOVE with this place! I’ve been coming here for the last 4+ years and it absolutely is amazing every time. This place is my favorite go-to spot when I’m willing to spend a little extra money but also when I’m really craving authentic Korean food. They have the option for charcoal bbq or sitting at a traditional dining table, regardless of your preference there are so many options to choose from! The charcoal bbq is definitely worth the experience, just keep in mind that considering how fresh and high quality their meats are, it can be just a bit pricey. Even so, they have things such as traditional Korean soups, noodle dishes, rice bowls, appetizers, you name it, to pick from. One or both of the owners are usually there and they’re always so kind and happy to help, as so is their staff! I will always continue to go here and recommend it as much as possible!
Very good Korean restaurant with friendly staff. Would recommend all in the area to try!
Great food and lots of options, we loved this place from the first time we visited months ago. I've eaten here at least 5 times, and I've never been disappointed. The bulgogi (sweet beef entree) and deaji bulgogi (spicy pork entree) are what I normally get, but the bibimbap (rice with veggies in a sauce) is great too. The mix of sides keeps it fun and each side dish is tasty; from traditional kimchee (fermented veggies) to kongjang (sweet and savory soy beans) to fish cake, there is something for everyone. I especially love they have Soju (think vodka meets sake) and Milkis (South Korean soda) as drink options. Both tabletop stove and charcoal grill are available for cooking the proteins you order (if you go the BBQ route), along with having it cooked by staff in the kitchen instead. The place does get busy, so if you plan to eat dinner here be prepared to not be seated immediately. Lunch time is definitely quieter with a more intimate feel on weekdays, while the night has a social vibe from all the chattering people out with friends.
Our first time doing Korean food. It was fun to have the sides served in the way it was with a plethora of small plates. Note: all the sauces and marinades are soy based so not gluten free. Price range was higher than we expected. $200 for party of 4. Service was good and patient as we had many questions...we got scissors.. no idea why...it was to cut the noodles :) We're glad for the option in our neighborhood.
This was my first time in this place after driving past it for over 20 years. Man have I missed out. The food was extremely delicious, and the staff and service was phenomenal. The gentleman man who brought all the sides out, who I assume is the manager , is quite the host. Great customer service! I will definitely be back. I may have to being authentic Jamaican food for the Manager...he will understand. Great place to dine!
The food and experience was fantastic, there is nothing like a cold beer and beef for an early dinner in my opinion. But that isnt what made the experince amazing, the staff did. Unlike most other restaurants I have visited on University, I found the staff to not only be kind and consistent with my drinks and needs, but also humorous and knowledgeable on the types of food and drinks that may fit your needs. I, without a doubt, will go back again with my friends to share this experience with them.
Got there at just after open for lunch. Very clean and nicely decorated were my first impressions. We sat at at a grilling table and ordered from the charcoal cooking menu and had marinated beef rib, shrimp, and pork. It was a fun experience cooking over the charcoals and the beef and shrimp especially came out very good. You can order more if you underestimate the appetites at the table.
Food is delicious. Sat at the bbq and ordered the thin short rib and the octopus and i was delighted . The waitress we had was named Grace and she was wonderful. She made sure our time was great . She made sure she met all of our needs . If you are a need in need of a great Korean restaurant with great service. This is the place to go
An amazing Korean BBQ with actual gas or coal BBQ where you cook your own food. There can be a wait, so be prepared and the price is on the higher end, but worth it for the quality and quantity of food. The coal BBQ is our favorite!
Don't even think twice if you are considering this place. I have been coming here for over a decade. Before they become the favorite of New Times Broward or all local foodie's favorite, and rightly so. I have never have a bad meal here. Fast service, authentic Korean food. As good as any Korean place in New York or west coast. Highly recommended. Be there early, they don't take reservation and the seat filled up fast by 7pm
The charcoal BBQ was incredible. Make sure you do the charcoal! The side dishes were amazing; they were all very different too. I had lunch here with a friend - we maybe had too much food for the two of us. We ordered the pork and the marinated short rib. We also had a pancake, which we couldn't finish because we were too stuffed. There's Korean K Pop playing in the background and Korean sake. Great spot! The staff is extremely diligent and attentive. I will be back.
Is good taste and real Korea Food. Good service, can come to try. A lot of people in there. I order the food [ 1 fire noodle, 1 fire Rice, 1 kimchi soup, 1 fire vegetable, 1 fire Dunpling, 1 cola, 1 Lemon drink, Total: $94 ($83 + $11Tips).], I falt that a little bit expensive. So I give 4 stars, if their price become lower I will give the 5 star.
My wife and I decided to try Korean Bar B Q. We made a great choice, the staff is super friendly and super helpful, two things which are extremely important when trying something new. So if you are new to Korean dining, this is definitely a place to start your adventure. I had the charcoal grilled shrimp and my wife had the charcoal grilled pork. You grill your own meal over a charcoal fire brought to your table in a pot and dropped into the ring in the middle of the table. You can also choose a.gas plowed grill at your table. With each you have to order at least 2 meat dishes for either grilling option. Then you receive 7 "sides" and a basket of Romaine lettuce leaves to use as "baskets" to put your food into and eat from like a Korean "burrito" or lettuce roll up. Each diner also receives as bowl of steamed rice. The experience was fun, the food was good and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it. You owe it to stop in and dine here.
Gabose This Excellent Pl., Korean BBQ located in the center of Fort Lauderdale but it’s worth the drive from anywhere in the state because it’s the only one in the state of Florida where are you get to cook at your table with real charcoal Not only is it worth Drive but it’s also worth the way if you don’t get there early you will be waiting because this restaurant is so unique and so good you won’t be disappointed we tried three different dishes even though you cook them to yourself it’s worth the wait. The flavors in the marination‘s on the food we’re delicious we had shrimp octopus and their famous boneless rib they were all incredible great to go with a party of four or six for the experience but we even saw people dining alone so make this your next dining experience and you won’t be disappointed great to bring the kids let them experience some real Korean food five stars all the way if there were more they would get them
We had an awesome time here. Recently we went to a Korean BBQ in New York and had a hankering for more. This place surprised us with the charcoal grills! I have to say, their exhaust system is exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of smokey smell. The food was awesome. The condiments for the grill meats were nice and varied. The meats were awesome. We got short rib, both marinated and non marinated, shrimp, and octopus. They were all fantastic. My only point of improvement is that the lettuce wasn't as fresh looking as it could be and the tongs they provided didn't lock closed so it was hard to find a safe place to put them down. Otherwise, stellar experience. Will be going again. Several times. Update 2023: Still amazing. Still love this place. Now they have Gabose Pocha and we wait there when it is full!
Gabose might have just topped my list for best Asian BBQ grill in SoFlo. The charcoal grill brings out the full flavor from the meat. Even with just the non-marinated boneless short rib, the quality of meat was excellent, tender, and juicy. The condiments being offered with the grill set such as the kimchi is also tasty. Rice and lettuce also comes with the set. In addition, we ordered the cold buckwheat noodle with beef and had to say it was authentic and well made. Will for sure drop by again to taste the non BBQ menu which just from the menu, it all looks delicious.
I have been here a few times already, and it has always been a great experience. Great customer service, very friendly, with fast service. Foods comes out fast and looking freshly cooked with an amazing flavor. In my experience I have never had to wait for to long to be seated, they have plenty of tables. Park also not a problem since they have plenty of it as well. Will keep on visiting for sure.
Decided to go her with a co-worker for the first time! Amazing experience but a bit pricey! She explained it’s because it’s better when there are more than 2 people. We spent about $125(pre-tip) on 2 drinks (went to Pocha to wait until reservations were ready at Gabose), 2 beef meats (on the charcoal grill), a rice bowl with chicken (I don’t know what it’s called but it was delicious), and a soup! Something that I have never experienced but I truly enjoyed! I would go back! Also, might I add, the service is PHENOMENAL! They don’t mind assisting, speaking, talking with you! They love my coworker! She’s a regular!
I’ve come to this location at least 5 times and every time the food quality is superior. My friend put me on the Bulgogi and now that’s my favorite thing to eat there. It’s the perfect mix of savory with a slight sweetness to it. Make sure you get a Korean Soda when you are there, you won’t regret it!
What a great experience! My parents and I had originally wanted to go to our regular Korean place, but they weren’t open until 5! So I googled other Korean options, which I knew were plenty in this specific area. I was so glad we ended up at Gabose! We were greeted by a few of the staff, I remember a young woman who helped with the menu, David, and Fred K. Fred had informed us from the beginning, of the rarity in having the charcoal bbq tables at the restaurants now so we decided to try it! So we get to choose at least 2 meats from the specific CHARCOAL BBQ section of the menu. Then the rest we chose off the regular menu that’s cooked in the kitchen . We loved all the side dishes, especially the Kimchi and the fish cakes! My parents loved the seaweed and bean paste! We pretty much inhaled the food that came out surprisingly quick, which was fantastic since we were ravenous! Fred advised us that these charcoal bbq tables are a 2 hour wait at least on the weekends. Definitely should be tried at least once! What a great place, but more so, the service was on point from beginning to end!
We love Korean BBQ. Gabose is one of the best in town. However, they are always packed at dinner time. We recommend you to either go earlier or make a reservation. If not, you can sit at the non-grill table, which they will grill them for you in the kitchen. Not as much fun, but that is an option. Gabose is a restaurant with great atmosphere, great service, and great foods. The price is a bit above average, but you cannot go wrong with Gabose. You must go try Gabose Korean BBQ. We always recommend others. We gave them 10 out of 10 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
One of my favorite Korean places in SOUTH FLORIDA. I actually found this place because of my best friend, I have been here countless times. The staff is friendly, I love the atmosphere and their food is delicious; I have tried anything from their BBQ Stove top to their soups and they never fail to amaze me. Try them out you wont be disappointed.
Been to Gabose a few times, and it’s always solid. The meat cooks well, the sides are generous, and the staff checks in to swap the grill without you having to ask. Easy place to relax and enjoy a meal. Just a dependable spot for Korean BBQ, and I’d definitely come back.
This place is delicious although it certainly isn't cheap. The meat is tasty - I highly recommend their marinade - and you can't beat the flavor a charcoal grill provides. The vast number of sides you get is quite nice as well. You have to get at least two servings of meat if you're doing the BBQ which already brings you to over a $50 minimum, but it is a decent and very fresh portion. My friend and I made the mistake of ordering two appetizers and one we just couldn't finish - the age tofu which was absolutely delicious - the gyōza were average I'd say. I also couldn't finish my rice and a couple of the side dishes - we were both about to burst. Coming with more than two people is probably the best idea.
I always have a great experience at Gabose. The staff is courteous and friendly. The restaurant is clean and aesthetically pleasing. It can get busy at night, so I prefer to go at lunch time when it is less crowded. My go to order is the Gamja Jun, which is a large potato pancake, pan fried with finely cut carrot and zucchini. It is paired with soy sauce and spring onion. For my main dish I order the Kimchi Soontofu, which is a stew made with soft tofu, pork, kimchi, and egg. This is one of my favorite comfort meals and, although everything on the menu is delicious, I find myself ordering the stew every time. Gabose can accommodate larger parties, although I recommend calling ahead if there are more than 4 people. They are also child friendly and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Thank you for having me!
Best Korean BBQ I've ever been to and one of our favorite restaurants overall. We've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing and service has always been great too.
I just want to start to say that i’m the son of the most best chefs in the world… my mom. I lost her 2 years ago. And when i miss her cooking, i come here. Out of all the places in south florida… this is the place if you miss home-style korean cooking.
Gabose is hands down one of the most authentic Korean restaurants we’ve found. We literally drive from Miami just to eat here and it’s worth it every time. The flavors, quality, and banchan are the real deal. Susan made our last visit extra special by showing us the proper grilling technique and even turning it into a fun tong “battle” with the kids as we waited for the beef to be done. Amazing food, service that feels were being welcomed into someone’s home and an experience that keeps us coming back.

Authentic Korean restaurant. Used to order a noodle soup with pork, tofu in a kimchi broth. I've since moved to Stuart and miss going here.
Gabose Korean Restaurant absolutely delivered an incredible meal. We didn't have time to do the make-your-own BBQ, but that didn't stop us from having a fantastic experience. All three of us ordered …

Their coal fired bbq is awesome. Get the beef short-rib, you can't go wrong with that.

The food is tasty, textures are interesting and service has always been great. The Barbecue is the way to go, it's fun, and to pair things with a Sapporo beer is a nice experience.
Extremely good, in particular if you like spicy food. It has been on the neighborhood for decades successfully; even during the Pandemia.

I've been here a few times. Food is delicious, and the portion is reasonable. I always ordered kimchi soup with pork , and my husband got spicy chicken. I noticed that usually they bring side before the meal comes out. But this time they bring it with the food. Maybe because they only have 2 servers at the time. Overall, food tastes good.
Dumplings were good! The dough was thin like microwave dumplings and they tasted like they may have been frozen. The service was nice for lunch. Calm space and clean.

Great service from staff, quick and nice, however the food did leave a bit to be desired. Ordered the chicken bulgogi (spicy), and tasted as if it had not been marinated over night, as well as the sauce being more spicy than rich in flavor, the chicken was also a bit salty, definetly tasted more Americanized than a traditional Korean meal. Also tried the Galbi Tang, the galbi was good, however the broth was saltier than expected. Overall a decent korean restaurant, especially for South Miami
Overall one of my favorite Korean BBQ places I’ve been to. The appetizers to get are the Kimchi Pancake or the Seafood Pancake. Entrees, the marinated steak for the charcoal and the bulgogi. The house made kimchi is phenomenal and the kimchi cucumbers are so good. Overall I definitely recommend this place and will be back again.
Cool experience. Expensive. TBH I was confused on what came with the meal and what didnt. Order at least 2 meats and you can use the grill yourself at your own table. Not all tables have hole for grilling. Not a fancy place casual is ok.You get a lot of side dishes,a few bites of each, rice was not free to get more. Know your meats and what you truly like. We tried 6 different types of bbq meats. Personally we liked the marinated ones that had flavor. Some grilled quickly, of course a personal preference on grilled meat being rare or burnt. May go again for a special occasion but not for regular dinner out.
I came here because I was really craving some Naengmyeon and couldn’t find any Korean restaurants in West Palm offering it. Fiancé ordered the Yakisoba and it was very good. I ordered the Naengmyeon and it was just alright. It had very little flavor and there were only 3 small slivers of beef. Both dishes were quite small. Usually, I eat about half of my Naengmyeon and take the rest home. At this restaurant, I ate it all and was looking for more. I wasn’t even very hungry to begin with, so the portion size was definitely disappointing. However, the dishes came out within a few minutes of ordering, despite the restaurant being pretty full. I might come back to get my Korean cold noodle fix, but would probably prefer to try another place if I could find one selling Naengmyeon.
Its a shame this restaurant is so far because its one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to, this far south. The food hit my stomach so well and warmed up my soul. I've been here on a cold day in January ( Yes Florida does have cold days) & this was just the type of food I needed. There's also a side where you can do barbeque with you choice of meats and vegetables. However if you're eating here alone, it will be difficult for you to do the barbecue side.
We came here to celebrate a friends birthday and it was a great time. They have Pineapple Soju which was a new flavor for me.m, very tasty too. I usually mix the Soju with beer to make a bomb as the flavors go well together. We got the regular short rib and the boneless shot rib for the BBQ. It comes with several side dishes as usual in addition to a side a rice. I’ll definitely be back to eat here some more as I enjoyed it. They are a little on the pricey side in comparison to Gabose Pocha but we’ll worth it. Also recommend the fried dumplings. That’s a must.
Good Korean cuisine.... But a bit pricey. We were craving for some good Korean food, and decided to make the drive to Lauderhill. The food didn't disappoint, as this is probably the closest you'll get to an authentic Korean bbq restaurant in the S. Boca Raton area. Located in a strip mall in Lauderhill, the place is well organized, and you can choose between a grill- it-yourself bbq table or a regular table where the kitchen grills your kalbi. Service was pretty good and very attentive and friendly. The KalBi was over-priced, for the amount they serve you...$32 for a very small bowl of meat, see pics below. The other items were priced ok, and the food is pretty good.... The final bill came out to about $130 for a family of 4, with only 2 soft drinks, no alcohol and 4 entrees with 1 appetizer.
My partner and I came here to celebrate our five-year dating anniversary on 8/19/2022. Quaint restaurant. The first booth they assigned us was a bit rough with the cushion as it was really torn and worn out. So we switched to a table as both prefer tables rather than booths. The food was tasty, but I believe the bulgogi could have been seasoned a bit more. Traditional side dishes to go with the bulgogi and rice such as kimchi and spicy cucumer/non-spicy cucumber. The kimchi did taste a bit different (maybe not as salty) as well as didn't have bean sprouts and fish cakes; they did have some kind of jelly and one other side dish I wasn't familiar with. The 10-piece mandura was quite pricey; probably wouldn't visit here again unless it's for a special occasion.
The closest to home cooking from a restaurant. Didnt do the BBQ but the dishes were we had were delicious. Going back to try the BBQ. If you want good original Korean food this is where to go. Enjoy!
Interesting and different experience. There is a minimum cost for the BBQ. I find it to be a little expensive considering you're cooking your own meal. They give a plethora of food and options as sides. Their second restaurant was more my style. Small plates of Korean street foods. Delicious and the atmosphere was great. Make sure to arrive early enough to grab a drink and a snack in their second restaurant. Fun experience and worth the drive to get lauderdale. Again 3 dollar signs rating
The food at Gabose was absolutely delicious — full of authentic Korean flavors that reminded me of being in Seoul! 🥢 The meats were tender, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. Side dishes were fresh and plentiful. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, making the experience even better. The atmosphere felt authentic and cozy, perfect for a night out with friends or family. It is a little on the pricey side, but the quality and authenticity make it worth the splurge. Definitely one of the best spots for real Korean BBQ in town! 🇰🇷🔥

Great food but portions are small and pricey compared to similar restaurants but service and ambiance is a plus.
My brother brought me here during my visit and wow, the food is great! I loved all the different meats we had from the spicy chicken to the steaks and the pork. The dumpling soup was great and I also loved the spinach pancake thing. Cooking the food does take awhile when you have 4 people to feed, but it’s a fun concept. There are zero complaints about how the food tasted! However, the service is truly AWFUL. I wouldn’t go back because of the service alone. We were not checked on, waters not refilled and I even got up to find someone and still they didn’t send anyone! We needed napkins, a fork, waters refilled, etc. We finally grabbed a random person setting up a table to help us. We were never checked on til it was time for the bill!! Truly unacceptable.
Of course, the taste is not as good as Korean restaurants in big cities, but I think it's fortunate that I can eat in a place where there aren't many Koreans. But my rice was old and dry. It would be better if I paid more attention to food.

The marinated beef on the charcoal BBQ grill was AMAZING although the customer service wasn't the greatest. Not to mention, it turns out they had a limited menu which I wasn't aware of until AFTER I tried ordering certain items. Specifically, Pellegrino mineral water...then regular soda water...and they also had no dessert to offer. Those who have a sweet tooth knows how big of a let down "no dessert" can be!! And I still find it strange that they didn't have regular soda water considering all Pepsi/Sodas (typically) go through the same fountain gun and use the same tank of CO2. Either way, I wouldn't be as disappointed if I knew about this limited menu before I started ordering. In regards to customer service as a whole, I was very underwhelmed. My friend and I couldn't figure out who was actually taking care of us since someone different always came by throughout our meal. It looked like their service style was more of a sloppy group effort rather than organized chaos although I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they were under staffed and a little burnt out. I understand that we're still in the midst of a "pandemic" which has caused a staffing shortage BUT communication is key. If service won't be top-notch because lack of staff, have your servers communicate this to your customers before they even order their first drink or even create a pop-up notification for your website/online menu. It's important to set those expectations so customers are prepared. Most (good) people will be understanding as well. My advice to those considering this place...look at the online menu and call in to confirm item/food availability to avoid disappointment. Also, be patient with the staff. My advice to the restaurant owners/management...improve communication with your customers and set the right expectations especially if COVID has impacted your restaurant and staff.
On a quest for bulgogi fried ramen and gyeran-jjim, my cousin and I embarked on a culinary expedition from West Palm Beach to Lauderhill, drawn to Gabose by the promise of these specific delights. As we arrived, the restaurant stood invitingly under the clear, bright blue skies, setting the scene for our anticipated feast. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted, albeit with a slight communication hiccup regarding our preference between the BBQ and indoor dining options. Opting for the indoor side, where both menus were accessible, we eagerly attempted to order our sought-after dishes. To our dismay, both were unavailable, a surprise detour from what our online reconnaissance had suggested. Nevertheless, we decided to pivot gracefully, starting with the khemul pajun, a seafood pancake, followed by haemool dolsot bibimbap and the bulgogi. An initial foray into Korean soda rounded off the ordering, turning out to be an unexpectedly delightful discovery. The seafood pancake, while enjoyable, left me hoping for a touch more spice. The bulgogi emerged as the clear standout, delivering on flavor and satisfaction, while the bibimbap was pleasant, though not remarkable. The accompanying sides were a mixed bag, with everything pleasing the palate except for the sprouts, which I found lacking. The ambiance of Gabose carried the familiar feel of a Korean restaurant, welcoming and suitable for both families and solo diners. Though the meal had its highs, the absence of the dishes we specifically came for and the mixed experience with some of the food mean I might explore other options before planning a return visit to Gabose. It was a journey of flavors, some hitting the mark and others falling short, but all part of the adventure is discovering new dining spots.
The food was good . I had the marinated galbi without bones. The server was a little rude and we had to wait a long time for one of the meals.

Came here with nice expectations and hunger. Turns out after finishing my meal I will have to run to the other Korean Restaurant because I ordered the marinated Galbi, And it was served in a Traditional Korean soup bowl-$41. Of course the restaurant can choose to serve their 8 ounces for $41 but it was rather tough and not premium Galbi. IMHO price and the portions were horrible. I counted more onions The bright spot was the Server Judy. She was wonderful. The male server that I met when I came in and said “one for dinner, please” He looked at me a little weird and had a standoffish look-not very welcoming Never again and only wish them well.

Everything was expensive, the steamed egg is $8.95 each and they put much more water in side which is bad taste. I haven’t eat here for over 5 years and I’m taking my friends here for the first meal in Florida, but this time was disappointed us. We have four big guys but even a small request for extra soybean sauce was declined, so it’s probably too much to expect a side of kimchi. And they give us really small size of the meat but charge more than $35 per dish. Everything was changed in the past 6 years and it’s OK you rise the price up, but you can’t add $10 more for each meat dish and give the same or less meat!!! And for the seafood pancake, there is hill lot of scallions and real less seafood, I did not even see A shrimp in the “Seafood Pancake”. This restaurant was my favorite restaurant in Florida, but now is no longer on my favorite list. One of my big friend ate 3 bowl of rice with the steamed egg. Because the meat was so less that he does not want to order more. At the end we still had more than $250 for four guys. We ordered more than what we think we will have but the fact is we are still not feeling full and we are so disappointed for this restaurant. Think about it and make your decision to get food here or not.

If you want to enjoy this place, don’t go there hungry. The food was okay, but the portions were tiny. Spending $185 (tip included) for just ½ lb of beef, ½ lb of chicken, and ½ lb of shrimp was ridiculous. We ended up going somewhere else because it wasn’t enough.
I used to come several times to eat here, unfortunately today I had one of the worst experiences, and I am sorry to say that we will never return and I will let my friends know about this. We arrived at 7.30pm, we asked for a table for 4, they told us that the waiting list is 1 hour, we accepted, we left our name and number, we went to Pocha for drinks, we let them know that we were there, we never received a message, my husband was at 8.40pm to find out if there was a table available, he told us that at 30mn, 9.20pm we all went there again, they asked us again for the name and number, they told us that they had sent us a message which is lie, we knew that they forgot about us, even so we decided to give it the opportunity again because the owner apologized, but people kept coming in and they made them sit before us, for this we were already waiting two hours. I'm sorry but this place disappointed us, we had already heard negative comments but we still wanted to go. We will never return. We decided to go to HALLYU KOREAN BBQ BAR, which is only 4 minutes away and we are happy about that, we had a better experience.
Truthfully this place sucks . The service was terrible . No enthusiasm , no hello or welcome , never checked on us at all . But that’s not all , the portion to price ratio for the charcoal bbq meats is ridiculous , 40$ for what had to be a half pound of short rib if that. Dinner for 2 for $100 before tip , there are many places that for $50 a person you have all you can eat and phenomenal service gabose was not it . Try izziban it’s a Korean bbq with ALL YOU CAN EAT for $35-42 a person .
I used to come here often with friends and family, and I’ve recommended this place to many people because the food was good. The side dishes (especially the kimchi and white radish) were always refillable, and that was part of why we liked coming. But this visit was honestly disappointing. The restaurant has suddenly started limiting side dish refills without any clear notice. I only asked for more kimchi and white radish – the basic banchan refills – yet the staff acted annoyed and uninterested. It was difficult to get anyone’s attention, and it felt like they were avoiding our table on purpose. It really seemed like this “limited refill” rule was something the staff made up themselves, because it has never been like this in all my previous visits. The food is still decent, but the service has dropped so much that it’s no longer a place I want to return to.
