Great food ..price little more than I expected....

The place is amazing. The band playing was great. Rockstars from mars. The waitress was excellent and very sweet. I had a great time. The food is usually excellent. Last night is wasn’t as good as usual. It might have been an off night or different cook etc it was the Ny strip steak it was over cooked and dry . And the fried pickles were not as good as usual . Like I said it was probably an off night. It happens but my bill was almost $200 on food for 3 people. So it’s a little disappointing, I didn’t send it back so that’s on me. I’m sure they would’ve fixed it. otherwise I love Popei’s it’s so friendly and great atmosphere. I recommend it 100%. Good people.

This is a tried-and-true favorite of everyone in our family. The food is always good. The portions are very large. We have never had a bad experience here. The catering they do is very good. We have chosen to have several family party events at this restaurant. The drinks are very good and the rice pudding is delicious.

I want to start by saying this used to be my spot. For many years when I lived in the area and when I came back to visit. The bartenders were always friendly, funny, awesome and just overall great, nice people. That being said, I was so happy when I walked in here on Thursday to find that they still had most of the same staff! I sat in the bar area waiting for a couple of friends. I had a glass of wine and I could not decide if I wanted clams or oysters on the half shell. Kelly suggested 6 of each! Perfect idea. The food arrived fast and delicious and I ordered another glass of wine, closed out my tab then went out on the back patio when the rest of my party arrived. They ordered a lamb lollipop salad which looked delicious! I will get that next time. Between the friendly faces, fair priced food and drinks and delicious food there is no reason not to give this place a try, or keep coming back to try all their different food!

Popei's has been a favorite restaurant of mine for the last 17 years! This is most likely because I often crave clams on the half shell and snow crab legs. Yummy! The also have the BEST creamy garlic salad dressing. It makes a nice day to sit at an outside table, enjoy a cocktail, and listen to some live music. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm back!

Omg I wish I lived close enough to come here at least twice a week. Killer shrimp, steak and fries, clam back, raw oysters and clams, baby back ribs , steamed whole lobster! 5 people under $275.00. The food was absolutely amazing and the portion sizes were huge! Our waitress was really nice, made suggestions and also made us laugh. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Sorry yet again no pictures because I was too busy eating ! Lol.

We had a server named Maddy. She was so pleasant and attentive. The food was very good. No complaints. The blueberry bliss was delicious. Mainly I wanted to just shout out our server because it's rare that you get Great service.

Staff favorite is a must try. The vodka sauce is amazing. If you love cheese (like myself); too it off with melted mozzarella cheese. It was so good.

This place just hit number one on my family's list. I am so impressed with the quality of the food and size of the portions that came to the table. We read one of the recent reviews here on Yelp and decided to make a request to be seated in MacKenzie's section. A good review from me doesn't come easy or often. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. NOTHING. The service was PERFECT. When MacKenzie was away from the table the other staff floated around constantly to see if we needed anything. The food was perfect. The portions were huge. Everyone has lunch for tomorrow because of dinner tonight. I suggest looking at desserts and the drink menu under the desserts. The bill was appropriate for what we ordered as well. The bill suggests the tip based on quality of service and though it suggested a lot and I tend to be cheap... I tipped for the highest rating of service. It was just the right thing after a great meal. I recommend MacKenzie because of here actual desire to please the customer. It made the difference and we will be back. Often.

We returned to this establishment after an amazing meal and service experience. From the last time we were here that being said, your servers in your establishment are the face of your business and as such should be schooled on the proper etiquette on how to address customers. Sienna was not our waitress, but I wish she had been. She was a very lovely young lady who helped us because our waitress for the majority of our meal was nowhere to be found not even to bring my meal back to the table that I had to have fixed and apologize . However, upon completion of our meal, she couldn’t get back to our table, fast enough to collect our money and again no apology except to ask if my food was OK once we were paying for the meal. Kudos to Sienna and the nice young man who was busing the tables. We will be sure to sit in your station next time we dine here

I decided to stop by even though I wasn’t very hungry. I was immediately welcome by hostess and in one of the rooms they were having bingo the gentleman on the microphone told me to join every Tuesday. I thought he was really nice. I told him I wanted to sit outside. I had no idea the outside was so large, I got kids meal for my daughter and I asked them not to fry the shrimp and broiled it. It was seasoned very good. She loved the curly fries and the shrimp was fresh. I got lump crab appetizer and it was very fresh and delicious. I also got a piña colada. I definitely will be back when I am hungry to try more options. Another thing that I notice is the menu is extensive , very happy that there is a good restaurant like so close to my house. I can’t wait to bring my friends. My friend Dawn told me about this place She said it’s her favorite and now I think it’s going to be mine ha ha ha

We had a great meal here at an early Saturday dinner. The staff were very accommodating to meal substitutions and making for this an enjoyable experience for the whole family. Our waitress was very friendly and clever with recommendations to avoid overpaying. The best meal we've had here yet...and we've eaten there easily 40 times.

The service.. top notch as ALWAYS! Our waiter seemed genuinely interested in talking to us about the silliness we were discussing. He was sweet, kind and knowledgeable about the restaurant! He said he had been working there over 3 years and knew a good part of the family. I love coming here it's always a welcoming place! I have been to this location before as well as the original location. Both have always been amazing. This was probably my first time going there for lunch. The garlic bread was soggy as if it had been microwaved. We asked for a different basket and the second one was no better. We got fried pickles as an appetizer which came out lukewarm. I didn't bother to mention it bc I didn't feel like it would make a difference. I had the tuna appetizer as my lunch. It was superb! This saved the rating for sure! Restaurants can have a bad day, but don't overlook this establishment! The staff and the atmosphere are always top notch.

This place is always amazing. Very friendly staff and my favorite manager Javier is always on point. Food is so so authentic and delicious and the portions are huge. My family love going here. Its always best to call ahead and make a reservation.

The restaurant side is very loud on weekends due to the bar being a popular party spot and live bands on weekends, which made it hard to talk to my husband and when we were giving our orders to the waitress. The waitress hovered over us the entire time we were there which made us think she thought we were going to dine and ditch… which was a very rude way to treat your customers by the way. The food was ok. Lobster bisque was good, they also gave free garlic bread which was warm and delicious. Not a fan of the hot lobster roll however. It had soggy bread and wayyy too much butter, making it impossible to eat. My husbands burger was good.

Dry rub Wings we're on special and we are hoping it becomes a regular part of the menu they were fantastic! Tuna steak burger was beyond belief and holy guacamole let me just tell you, please try. Food was just alright, Elaina the host on the other hand? Beyond outstanding. I walked in the other day looking to have a great meal. She complimented my voice and said "you have an amazing voice!" I swear, those were her exact words. Next thing I know, I'm quitting my job to become a professional singer. I mean, if someone at Popies tells you that you have a good voice, it's basically like getting a record deal, right? So, if you're looking for life-altering compliments with your fries, Popies is the place to go. Just be prepared to drop everything and pursue your dreams, because apparently, they have a knack for discovering hidden talent while serving up the seafood! Elaina deserves a raise.

This is one of our favorite places to go. The waitstaff is beyond any other place. The food is always so good. And you get so much food, you will not leave here hungry! Tonight I asked if it was possible to omit the mushroom that is cooked with the risotto, and the chef made me a fresh risotto minus the mushroom. The drinks are also very good. My choice is always going to be the voodoo drink. It's fruity with a kick. Highly recommend

White clam sauce is lacking something tastes too watery.I believe it's a lack of butter or lack of quality butter. 3/22- went back today for Thai calamari and shrimp baked clam appetizers. All good. Haufbrau on tap! 7/24-$8 happy hour apps where amazing. Probably one of the best chopped Greek salads I've ever had out! Thai calamari always good.

He had crazy oysters said was okay,(fried back into shell covered w mozzarella then olive oil) We went on a Monday it was ALL U can eat shrimp,ribs,crab legs. Crab was large snow crab legs. He loved it all but is expensive $50 for that. I had white cloud which was penne w crab,shrimp,scallops in white sauce w ricotta and mozzarella excellent. They give u garlic bread & when wrapping leftovers was nice asked if wanted leftover bread 2go2. They wrap ur leftovers unlike almost every other don't. Which I like. Decor cute. It was a night out with fellow contractors. About 10 of us met here for a dinner and conversation. The waitress was very attentive and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. On a Thursday night it wasn't very busy so we were able to have good conversation. I had a hamburger that was very good with fried pickles on it I enjoyed my meal. Definitely a place to return to.

This place is one of those places where you can forgive slow service as the food was absolutely outstanding! I ordered the seared ahi tuna salad and it was delightful, it was paired very well with the peppers and seaweed salad, it was light and filling and I would absolutely wonderful and I would come back and order it again.

Minus one star for never seeming to get a grasp of proper restaurant music/ambiance. For years this place played the world’s most obnoxious do-wop music, but not even sure what they are playing now because it blends awfully with the jukebox music that pounds from the bar area. Minus another star for having the worse soda in the world. Definitely no frills soda, low on carbonation, low on syrup. Awful. But the food rocks.

The food was good.they had a large selection of seafood, pasta and other dishes. I did go on a Sunday afternoon after normal lunch hours. Arrived around 1 30 pm. My biggest criticism was the dinning room area was very cold. No heat. People and staff were wearing sweatshirts or heavy clothing. I felt the radiator under our table stone cold. My other issue was our server. She left us for very long periods of time. Most of the staff was in the bar area watching the game or maybe serving.I am not sure. They had a large bar crowd. Frankly I felt ignored by our server. I was sitting in dining area for over an hour and our server never showed up after our food was served. I had to go and look for her. I will give this establishment another try but my first impression is not good.

After many years, we tried Popeye's again. This time, the food was very good. The waitress was courteous and friendly, and aside from the sticky table, the 60s soft "rock" (think the original version of California girls"), and the sharks hanging from the ceiling with Popeye stuffies in their jaws, we had a nice dinner. Then they brought the cheque. Apparently, when you choose the $40 dinner combo, you need to put on your reading glasses and make sure you read the fine print, because it's a rotten trick. The dinner at this restaurant (which seems like the McDonald's of seafood) was $200+. When I informed the waitress that their must be a mistake (there were two of us, and we each choose the $40 combo) we were informed about the small print that apparently we missed. We left feeling like we had been tricked and then mugged. There are lots of seafood restaurants on Long Island. Next time we will go elsewhere.

We went here after seeing all the great reviews of people raving about this place, I am actually concerned that those people have never eaten a decent meal in their lives. All the food has absolutely no flavor or seasoning. I got the broiled scallops, cajun shrimp, and lobster tail. Everything tastes like cardboard, I tried drowning it in “seasoned” butter but even that tastes like unsalted water. My wife got the popei’s special. It was supposed to come in a white wine garlic sauce but again it was basically an unsalted pasta water sauce, half a shaker of salt needed to be added to make it edible. The only thing that was good here was the friendly staff.
