Opinions de Panera Bread Coronado
Great place for food when you want take out or sitdown . The service was a bit slow but we were on vacation so no rush.
Nice experience ✅🌟, Panera's deals are always great, good relation value/price.💰🔖 They also have kid's menu such as Mac & cheese 🍜. The store looked neat and service was very friendly and fast. Recommended ✔️
I like this Panera. Customer service is very friendly. The food is excellent. It's fairly big. Only thing is parking sucks. There's a small lot in the back and street parking, but that's Coronado.
Loved staying on Island very pretty my B&B was just up the road a bit from here and loved that for convenice only thing is a suggestion have plan black tea for those that cant drink coffee because the green tea was too strong.
I visit every time I’m in Coronado. I was having trouble with my saved payment methods and Anthony helped sort it out during a very busy shift.
This is a good location. Very busy and Coronado has very high expectations. It is always full so they are meeting expectations. I like the soup and salad combo in the colder months. I tried spicy thai salad and bowl of fall squash soup. Very nice.
It's always a good place for a meal. All information and many tasty things to eat are there if you are diabetic. Meeting a friend and having a chat is great. There's good wifi if you have some business to do. And nice people, when you get your meal...
They allowed us to have our dog inside while we ate...wow!
Servers are always nice and helpful. Even when you thought you ordered on line but messed it up some how. The food was done and I was walking out the door in 7 minutes. Exactly the time the sandwich maker/ manager said.
Great place, Amazing customer service. Shout out to Cassie who helped me. I ate lunch with my children and she was great with helping me keep them entertained and offered if I needed anything multiple times. Anytime she saw me need to get up for something she offered to get it for me. Very clean and great food.
Great location. I like their coffee and the Sip of the Month club allows you to use the kiosk, sign in , get your coffee and go. Food is great too just a little pricier than I like.
A young lady so kind and beautiful here and inside cozy too thank you
Soup in a bread bowl...just what the doctor ordered. Panera has wonderful pastries and sandwiches as well. The manager jumped on a register and helped the line go down fast because it was very busy when we went, that's what I call customer service. Prices are standard for this type of fair.
My group of friends go here every Thursday night. This staff is consistently polite, friendly and they do a great job at keeping this location clean. I especially appreciate how patient they are with their customers.
My hazelnut coffee was excellent. My egg whites avocado sandwich delicious and wait time was acceptable. A lot of tempting sweets that made me smile.
Very clean and friendly, I had a lot of questions since I haven't been to a Panera in a long time. They talked me into the new Modern Caprese Sandwich which I quite enjoyed. I also order a tub of their cream cheese to go because I haven't found a better one anywhere. #HoneyWalnut
The one in Coronado is a good place to stop, chill and people watch for a little bit.
The new Italian sandwich(steak and mozzarella)was so good. Probably the best sandwich i’ve ever had!
One of the well-operated Panera restaurants. Usually clean (tables could be cleaner), with smiling workers and a good customer community. We chose the four-cheese soufflé and coffee. The green cold tea is good too, but it is a high-calorie drink like many other tasty beverages. :) There are a couple of local competitors around, and the long waiting queue means that they are well-known in the city. I think this competition motivates the Panera branch to be good. In any case, it's a good option for breakfast!
The experience at the Coronado Panera was great! The hostess was very pleasant and helpful. The item I ordered was delicious. I had the bbq, smoked chicken sandwich, and french onion soup. The only thing wrong with that meal was I wanted more. Portion was good, I just immensely enjoyed the food. I highly recommend this location and I will return.
Great sandwich and soup. Perfect for right after the beach. My small Coffee was cold, let an employee know, they came out with a large freshly brewed one less than 5 minutes. Can’t beat that.
Very friendly staff, quick service, great food, and the tablet ordering makes it a lot easier to customize your order to exactly what you are looking for. The only thing you’ll have to endure on the weekdays is a bunch of entitled teenagers in every corner of this place.
Fantastic service here at Panera. It was busy and the food was excellent....a big shout out to Claudyia our server who was first class and made us feel very welcome - her Scottish accent needs a bit of work but I've every faith she'll nail it!!! A great experience and great food at reasonable prices.
Very clean tables, great service & awesome food!! We had the egg, bacon & cheese on chibatta roll & shared a kitchen sink chocolate chip cookie!! Talk about delicious!! Hit every taste bud & got the senses going. Salty, sweet & crunchy!! Just awesome!!!
I was greeted by a friendly face when it was my turn to order. Scott was very pleasant and thorough when taking my order. Marcia was very friendly walking around making sure everyone had what they needed and seeing if she could get anything. Delivering food and taking trays away with a smile.
Love, love this place to eat. In the hub of beautiful Cotonado. Service is the best, food is fantastic. Can be busy at times, but worth the wait. The left side, towards chase bank, is nice and cold. The other side doesn't seem to have any a/c
Service very good, the food always good 4 breakfast ...
Took awhile to get our order, too pricey for what it is...just a sandwich and soup.
For a relaxing and enjoyable breakfast the Coronado Panera's is the place to go. The turkey with avocado breakfast sandwich is delicious when you add tomato, red onion, and romain at no extra cost. Change the bread to your choice of a bagel at a slight cost increase. Enjoy!
The location is conveniently located and has customer parking around the back of the restaurant. I went on a Sunday afternoon when the restaurant was not very busy. They have employees ready to take your order, or you can use the touch screens available to place your order. The food was great, as to be expected from Panera. No complaints. Recommended.
Ready to order? Rapid pick-up? Catering services? Coffee to go?? This new and totally remodeled Panera Bread location is working diligently to better serve you. Well-knowledgeable and famous for their soups, their pick two combos, bread and their fresh bakery. Great atmosphere and great customer service too!!
Good food always, but I guess they were short staffed. They didn't have the bread to dip in tomato soup. They also didn't have pepperoni flat bread pizza. Good thing I'm not picky. Lol. I got the chicken and bacon Flatbread, 👍👍.
I like going to Panera Bread they have some excellent sandwiches and soups and even some tasty treats. I think they need to get a better hand on the homeless situation that tends to flock around the area and present itself inside of the store. I feel bad for these people I realize that they are homeless but I'm not sure that Panera Bread is handling them the right way it seems like they're negotiating with them on a fairly regular basis.
Panera doesn't ever disappoint but the prices were redicilous. We paid $47 for 2 sandwiches, one cup of soup and kid mac and cheese. It is getting a bit redicilous.
I used the kiosk to order, which made things easy. There wasn't much direction on how to get my drink until I asked, and the direction I got was dismissive- and didn't regulate who paid for drinks or what size they paid for
The seating is outside. The service was quick & efficient. I had the breakfast wrap. Unfortunately it had red pepper on it which I can't eat so I had to fish it all out. It was very good. I don't think the menu board mentioned red pepper.
Usually pretty good, but the last 3 times we went part of our order was wrong. It's kind of hard to mess up when you order using the app, I would think. Still, it's Panera and the food and service is usually good and convenient.
Good hearty meals and tasty healthy ones as well. Soups, pastas, sandwiches, and salads are all available to satisfy a spectrum of discerning diners. Quick service for both dine-in and take-out, at a fair price.
For a $7+ breakfast sandwich I expect to be able to see my bacon on it. $3 for a 1oz cream cheese is highway robbery, and more expensive than the bagel itself. Coronado is the most expensive location in the area. In fact the cream cheese is 1/2 the price at most other Panera. It's kinda disgusting to take advantage of a primarily military community this way. I understand they wanna get their money from the rich community around them but what about the average joe that comes to Coronado to work bc we have to.
Always enjoy this location. Not a lot of staff around, so you must order by kiosk. The place is clean, food is fresh, and prepared to order.
Service has definitely improved over the years. Food is good. Store stays pretty clean especially given the amount of kids that come thru during the school days.
Good selection on the menu. Amazing mac n cheese and broccoli and cheddar soup. Good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We got an apple for the side and they were happy to chop it for us. Inside looked for clean however we sat outside the back and it was a bit messy and the tables were wobbly, nothing major and wouldn’t put me off sitting outside in the future but making the tables balanced would help. Restrooms were clean and they have change table facilities.
I notice that the coffee is never quite hot enough. I wonder if you can do better on that. Thank you.
Food is a hit and miss. But my sandwich bread was super hard. I couldn't really enjoy my sandwich. Atmosphere is nice. Parking is horrible.
The freshness of my sandwich was great. I got the chipotle chicken and avocado sandwich. The sandwich it self lacked flavor but the quality of the bread was appreciated. The vibe and freshness of this location is why I highly recommend it. It’s also close to many stores and the beach. I’ll come in for a pasty on my next visit they look yummy.
Decent. Slow service. Unclear on whether the tables were available or not as they weren't marked. Our food was ready for several minutes before out pager went off, and no one alerted us otherwise.
Dont get a bagel. They aren't good and they give you a package of cream cheese to spread yourself. You're better off getting a half dozen Sara Lee bagels and cream cheese from the store for nearly the same price.
A mediocre dining experience. The soup was just a little above lukewarm. The salad was mediocre due to an average dressing. The only saving grace was a sourdough roll that was quite tasty.
I went to buy bread @ 9:30 a.m.on Sat for a special at home lunch for family & all that was there was sourdough & cinnamon raisen. So I bought the sourdough loaf & it was really very tasty. Next time I'll call ahead .
An absolutely beautiful and clean restaurant in a lovely location. Wanted to enjoy my breakfast but the restaurant felt like a refrigerator they kept it so cold!! No need for that.
As always, Panera has delicious food. I knocked two stars off due to the order coming out wrong two days in a row. The first order had specific items ordered and missed even though it was reconfirmed by the cashier. The second day was missing a key item from the sandwich. It's not enough to make me not come back but I hope there is more quality control in the future.
Busy for lunch on a Friday. From order to pick up, it took about 25 minutes to be served. Delicious sandwich and tomato soup. No parking available nearby. Excellent location, though, right in the heart of Coronado.
We were not familiar with the ordering tablet. My husband didn't know he had to specify the add ons for his sandwich and he ended up with just bread, cheese and pepperoni. We also didn't know where to pick up the order and when my husband asked an employee just pointed and said "that way". We didn't feel appreciated. We won't be back.
Food was good but the lady working was yelling at a bunch of teenagers about sharing a drink instead of buying 5 drinks. Then they spilled it all over the floor. One kid came back in and helped clean up the drink so at least there are good people still out there. Maybe focus on cleaning the tables and floor that was covered in food instead of yelling at people. Then she has the nerve to interrupt me and tell me to let her know when I leave so she can flip the tables over so “kids can’t hide in the restaurant”. Get a new job then if you’re gonna be that way. Should have went to Starbucks instead.
Warm seating areas. Slow cashiers; not service-oriented. Soup in bread bowl smaller than what we're used to at home. The food is good; taste uniform compared to other locations we've visited.
Not the best Panera, not the worst. On my quest to visit every Panera in the world, I happened upon this one. The food was what you would expect at Panera. Salad portioning was a little smaller than what we normally get at Paneras nationally. Service was pretty slow, but there were quite a few names on the board so I have to attribute it to that. Assuming on a good day, with the right amount of staff, the food's coming out quickly. Looking for a place to eat, most tables were dirty so essentially you just pick a clean one. But the weirdest part was a lady eating there with her dog, inside the restaurant. Which I don't think is allowed in California. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I ordered 2 sausage breakfast sandwiches and a bacon sandwich. Both sausage patties were overcooked or reheated! We were looking forward to having a great start to our day too. We very disappointed!
Very disappointed in the what you get. Order the tomato mozzarella flat bread sandwich. You would think with mozzarella in the name they're would be dinner on the sandwich. Well you only get 3 quarter size pieces. Betty disappointed! Been there before and the food was much better!
This location just seems old and dirty. The door knob to the bathroom was broken, there were lights flickering throughout, and our meal was prepared wrong. They also ran out of the bread bowl so it just seemed like they had an off day, but the management needs to invest in tidying up and repairing the store. This is the first time I when to a Panera without a self-serve kiosk too so it just seems outdated.
Well, I was standing in line waiting to order, There were flies with the PASTRIES, and when I received my avocado, egg white bagel, it had a metal taste to it. Not a good experience
Got a couple of things and they forgot to tell me where to pick up my food and forgot my bread from two item, this was my first time at this location, I doubt if I'll purchase from here again. Food was not flavorful, although the most pleasant part of this experience was the cashier Kathyrn, she seemed new put had a smile the whole time I could see even through the mask and had a nice disposition
Multiple bad experiences with curbside pickup. Stephen had a problem with us asking for a pastry instead of a drink we ordered that had run out. We asked for a cookie instead since we don’t drink any of the other drinks. Gave us a problem and said not possible when on other occasions if they make a small mistake they offer you a free pastry, so unsure why for this occasion it was an issue. Told us we needed to come inside the store in order to get a refund for the drink. Just a bunch of nonsense when you expect to place a curbside order and be in and out. Very inconvenient and problematic.
Recent switch in management has led to extremely tiny portion sizes and higher prices. This place is basically a tourist trap now for people who see Panera and don't know better. Stay clear if you value your money and sanity
This is the worst Panera bread location I’ve ever been to. ALL the tables were dirty and very little staff around. I ordered a southwest chicken salad and they forgot the chicken. I asked for another salad and they said they could only give me the chicken. By the time they brought me the chicken I was done eating with my family. My mom’s order was wrong, and they didn’t even have the cookies she ordered at the kiosk and instead of one of the staff members saying so they just left the cookies out of her order. They forgot our drink cup, and my husbands sandwich was wrong. In total for 6 people we spent almost $150, and none of it was even very good. I expect more for the prices.
It's time for a deep clean on this place! Food all over the carpets, worker walking over it instead of cleaning it. Dust above the lights tell me there is no practice of cleanliness happening. The booth seat cracks have collected enough food in them to feed a rat feast for days! The food tasted great but then the cleanliness took the enjoyment away as I wondered if the back was being cleaned like the front.
Great food but the woman serving us was rude and clearly hates her job. Not interested in helping to explain anything. If you don't want a tip, then carry on with that attitude.
Delicious Turkey chili and green goddess sandwich. Vanilla cold brew was better than most coffee I’ve had lately. JUST INSANELY EXPENSIVE. Cup of Soup and 1/2 sandwich for $18???
This place never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere is busy and loud, and you could wait forever before an employee pays attention to you. It's very difficult to find a full menu. Even ordering online is a pain. For a place called "Panera," the bread sucks! I wouldn't buy this quality of bread from any store. Their sandwiches are put together sloppily, so that many bites don't have any or many ingredients. Panera is not at all cheap, so these details are, again, disappointing.
30 minute wait for 2 breakfast sandwiches. At this point, you owe me money for my time because those sandwiches ain't worth it.
Not really a good place to eat, I ordered at the kiosk, then had to wait in line at the cashier to get a coffee cup, the coffee was stale and cold. When I picked up food it didn’t come with utensils, I had to go back and ask, because utensils weren’t out. I preferred a lemonade, it tasted like a waters down juice with barely any taste. Needless to say, I’ll pick another place to eat next time.
They need to turn the air conditioning on and do something about the flies. Also, nobody seems particularly bothered about manning the register. I guess they are chatting in the back? An old lady (bless her heart) just walked into the back to get the manger who was standing just out of sight. The food was fine, but we are getting cups of ice to cool us off in here. It's rough.
Where do I start with this place. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches. Both were cold, sat in the window with no indication they were ours. Ordered a cold brew, was nothing but creamer, disgusting! Staff at the window was rude and slow. Will never return to this location. Would give zero stars if I could.
I’d rather starve than pay your absurd prices
Terrible service. Incredibly slow and rude staff does nothing to help the poor qaulity of the food. It took 20 min to a spoiled smoothie. Horrible service and will not be coming to this location again. No one should come to this location either.
They make it mandatory for customers to wear a facial mask, but today is the second time I see an employee handling food not wearing a mask, very unsanitary. Food is good but too many errors with the orders.
Depressed looking girl with pink hair in a ponytail was so rude! Asked her a simple question if she could refill the half and half..she literally just looked down, shook her head, and grabbed the container. When she came back she slammed it down in front of my face when I was reaching for it. Honestly shocked they would employ someone like this. She was wiping the counters acting annoyed and just kicking around ice cubes on the floor..yikes! Definitely not coming back, what a nasty attitude for no reason. The other employees were great and had a smile the whole time.
Had to wait 30 minutes for a cup of coffee without any sugar and two cold bagels and creamchees. When we asked for sugar the manager said they dont hand out sugar. They can take their rude behaviour that comes with their non existing service and give it away for free. We still wont ever return to this location. Starbucks next door seems like such a great deal now.
If you can avoid trying the get a smoothie or drink here during lunch rush….fôrget about it. 30-45min wait. Had to ask about my drink (17mins into it)and then was told 30 min wait for it….had to get my money back. They did give me a refund but nothing else.
I went there at 8:30pm, half an hour before closing time. When I ordered and said I wanted to eat in, the cashier lady told me they close at 9. I thought this was strange because most restaurants will let their customers finish eating without rushing them, since it usually take an hour or so before they're completely closed and ready to leave. She made it sound like I had to leave by 9. A few minutes after 9, the manager came and told me that they were closed but I was welcome to stay and finish eating. I had a bread bowl, which is kind of hard to eat (chew and swallow) quickly, and I didn't want to take it to go. Then 10 minutes later, he came back and told me it was 15 minutes past 9, but he didn't want me to feel rushed. I thought this was pretty rude. You wouldn't say that to someone if you didn't intend to rush him, especially when it was the 2nd time he told me. Most respectable restaurants allow customers to come in up until closing time, and let them stay until they finish eating, as long as it's not way past closing time. 15 minutes was hardly anything. To make things worse, the bread bowl was room temp when I got it, and there was hardly any "soup" in it. The turkey avocado BLT sandwich was good, but $6 for a half sandwich was not at all worth it. For $13 I couldn't even eat my meal in peace. Definitely will never come back and probably won't ever eat at another Panera. Avenue Subs at the liquor store down the street is much MUCH better.
This restaurant gave our DoorDasher half the order and Dominque was unfriendly and short on the phone. We are here on vacation and don't have a way to get to the store to get the rest of our food and/or a refund. Dominque was not helpful and said, "ok" when we told her we would not be eating at Panera again. She very clearly was done helping customers and did not care about us.
Was charged 12bucks for a small turkey sandwich which I don't think was the correct price when I asked the young man I ordered it from he said it was correct! I think they have increased thier prices during the pandemic probably to make up for the lost business. That is a rediculous price for a small sandwich!! I will never go back!! So sad that so many places are raising thier prices during the pandemic especially when people don't have a lot of money due to lack of work!!!
DO NOT order from Panera and have your order delivered!! I placed an order online for delivery. NOTE .... Panera does not openly disclose that they used Door Dash to deliver. If they do, it's not obvious. At any rate, after placing a delivery order totaling over $60 to an $11.62 tip. I waited and waited for my order to arrive. IT DID FINALLY ARRIVE BUT I had NO clue as no one rang my bell, knocked, or called because the delivery person sat it on the outside of my gate, they EVEN took a photo of it! My FRONT door / porch (which is where I had instructed them to leave it) is only about 6 feet behind my gate and clearly visible. Since my order was left at the gate, someone got into it, rifled through it's contents opened and spilled one of the soups, stole the flatbread, etc. Gross! So I call Panera and supposedly talked to a manager or supervisor and was told SORRY, we can't help you but you can call Door Dash and maybe get your tip back. Panera can TAKE your money, use a substandard delivery service to deliver their product, but take NO responsibility, even though it could be construed that Door Dash is their agent for delivery. . Ain't that just great! NO ... it's BAD BUSINESS!!!!! Panera, at least here in Coronado has TOTALLY lost my business and I will share my experience with everyone I know. It's a small town so that's EASY to do. UPSIDE ~ Door Dash was decent to deal with and withdrew my tip and was basically horrified to see where their delivery person had left my order. Thank Goodness that the delivery person was ignorant enough to actually take a photo!! Expensive night, but PANERA made out like flint.
Ordered the egg and steak sandwich, eggs tasted like frozen, microwaved, garbage. Also ordered the cinnamon bagel, I could've used it as a corner stone for a flagstone wall. Pathetic, paid almost 30 bucks for 3 cinnamon bagels, egg/steak sandwich, and 2 scones. Haven't tasted the scones yet, but I may need some false teeth after I try and bite into it. I'll never go back, Panera Bread has fallen off, big time.
My wife walked down there and got breakfast for us.. she gets back, and sandwiches are just wrong. How hard is to make a sandwich with 3 items on it? Sausage egg and cheese? I'm glad she spent 56 dollars
This place cannot get a mobile order correct for the life of them. My orders are 2 items max and they still forget to include parts of it like the chips or pastries. I usually order things such as their chicken take sandwich and it often comes cold, drenched in sauce (when I asked for a regular amount), or completely burnt. One time I had ordered a cookie and they had just thrown it in my bag with NO pastry bag or anything. It was just sitting at the bottom of the bag under my other items! I really don’t recommend getting anything from here if you like receiving the bare minimum from a restaurant.
Closing early, no salads, not so clean, service like fast food, Panera website sucks constantly offering promos when you are simply trying to view menu because no ingredients are published in restaurant. Going downhill quick! Need to hire smart people to run company at all levels
I was there blast night . Wanted a cup of coffee, after paying I got coffee, the coffee was cold. . I alerted the server , she said she would bring new coffee, Waited 10 minutes, I got another cup of coffee, the coffee was still cold, I alerted the server. She said , she thought it was still good because she had made it at 4pm. It was 8pm when I was there. She did not make an effort to make a hot cup of coffee for me. poor customer service. I think I was better off going next door to Starbucks , where I know my coffee will be hot every time. So much for the unlimited coffee program you pay each month. Coronado Panera please train your workers on customer service.
I come to this location almost every day and have never had an experience as bad as today. The woman at the front desk refused to give a cup of water for my dog, claiming that “FDA rules” don’t allow them to provide water for pets. She couldn’t specify what specific regulation says that . This is simply not true — there is no such FDA rule, and I’ve been given water for my dog at other Panera Bread locations without any issue. The explanation felt dismissive and incorrect. On top of that, there was no hot water available for tea for the entire evening, which is very disappointing for a place known for coffee and tea. The overall condition of the location and the level of service were noticeably worse than usual. I’ve never seen this Panera in such poor shape. The bright spot was the gentleman working at the food station — he was welcoming, polite, and professional, and deserves recognition for his attitude. I really hope management looks into this, because this experience was far below the standard I’m used to at Panera.
I would give it a negative 5 if I could. Just the worst Panera I've ever been to.
I normally dont write reviews on places but im pretty sure this place gave me food poisoning after i ate a chicken chipotle avocado sandwich there a few days ago. When i received the sandwich from the pick up counter the top piece of bread was smothered in some grease and the sandwich looked like something you would get from a fast food place. i didnt think to much into it at the time but i should have due to what i have been dealing with and trying to recover from since. This is the first time in many years that i decided to eat at a panera which i will possibly never ever decide to do again because of what i mentioned.
