Love this place & absolutely love Coronado every time I’m here. 💟 Chopped brisket sandwich w/ fries had me all set on a beautiful weekend evening.
Excellent bbq and even better service. I can’t believe the huge beer selection selection in the fridges as you enter. There’s truly something for everyone. I grabbed the big combo with ribs, Brisket and pulled pork with the max e and cheese and beans. I also got an order of the corn fritters. The fritters were amazing. Dense but so moist. I really want to try the sausage next time I’m in!
I stopped by here after checking out the Coronado area and I was craving barbecue. I ordered the Smoked Piggy Poppers and the Lil’ Market Combo. The Smoked Piggy Poppers is a bacon wrapped jalapeño popper. For the Lil’ Market Combo, I chose my two items to be ribs and beef brisket. It was a Tuesday and they had the Taco Tuesday special so I got a couple tacos (chicken/pork) as well. The meat fell off the bones of the ribs and they were tasty. The beef brisket was tasty as well. The jalapeños on the Smoked Piggy Poppers may vary on spiciness. There was one jalapeño that was very spicy and the rest were not as spicy. The chicken on the chicken taco was a bit dry, but the pork taco tasted good! The restaurant is located at the Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace and there are plenty of shops and food areas to walk around the area. I would definitely come back to try the other menu items.
Great place in a great location right off the ferry pier of Coronado Island. Had the large brisket and coleslaw slaw. Plenty of food! Good taste, good atmosphere and great people watching.
Great location for this restaurant. The service was pretty good from the front counter. They were able to serve our group quick as well as deliver the food fast to our table. The pulled pork didn't have too much flavor but they did have plenty of sauces on the table for your convenience. Overall I would go again.
First time here, no wait in line. Ribs are fall off the rib, and super yummy. Also grab the Mac and Cheese. Super friendly staff asking how we were when we got there and while we were eating. It’s clean and lots of space to move around. Definitely try it out.
Outstanding barbecue joint in Coronado's Ferry Landing district. Indoor and covered outdoor seating are both available. Online ordering is easy, and our food has always been available on time when we get there. Ordered a the corn fritters, the Mexi mac & cheese, and a pulled pork plate w/ fries. All were fantastic, and the corn fritters warm with their honey butter are not to be missed!

Hello, My name is Gordon Ramsey...just playing!. I have been here 2wice for lunch and the food, customer service and just the ambiance of this little tucked away BBQ HOUSE is to my opinion phenomenal! Again (my opinion) The first time I went there I had a brisket burrito and they did not fill it with a bunch of fat with some meat, every bite I had was a piece of brisket and very little fat which the ratio was great! If you are familiar with brisket it tends to have a lot of fat. There is a lot of work that goes into cooking a brisket and they nailed it! Today I had the holy grail of a loaded baked potato and it did not disappoint. It was very very good. The only complaint that I have is after eating it I needed a beer and a hammock! But no I had to go back to work! GOOD JOB GUYS! I'LL BE BACK

Now you already know I had a great food tour in San Diego this week I mean top tier food from all over and this place was a Definite winner ! Look 👀 closely VERY FAMILY friendly, super patient with me as we ordered and chased kids that were obsessed with chasing the birds! I mean if you haven’t been you’re missing out completely ! Amazing food I had the turkey burger and my husband had the chicken burger along with an array of 3 different kid meals! I mean you can stop now and RUN NOT WALK to this delicious establishment!!! I loved the food and then to top it off world class customer service ! I will definitely be back very soon because San Diego is my 2nd home ! So grateful I saw their ad on the ferry and checked them out !! Oh and FYI located very close to the beach!!
Updated Review: I found myself in Coronado again for business today and ended up at this place again. The brisket I got was done TO PERFECTION. so I wanted to update my rating. Whoever made the brisket today should do it every day, it was fall of the fork tender and seasoned excellently. So I'll write the first time off to a bad day, because when this place is clicking it's really quite great. Mediocre, outside the front person, who was awesome. Got 2 plates, the "big" brisket plate and the 4 rib plate, with one side each. I'll start with the fact I finished both plates and was still contemplating ordering an app, as I was still hungry. The brisket was mostly not tender, even the fat had a hardness to it. The ribs were not flavorful on their own, but the spicy and sweet BBQ were good. The sides packed no oomph and were small. I'm not sure if they deemed me unimportant, but to have 2 full plates, one labelled "big", and not end up full was a new one for me (and most people who looked at me wouldn't say I was overweight). I hate to be rude about a local business, but I might pass on this one.
I was back and forth looking at the menu. I was greeted, assisted and had my meal brought to me by Paulina! Her customer service was kind, efficient and with nice manners! I asked her name, so, I could highlight her in my review. She answered my questions about my side order options, she followed up giving me good feedback on the BBQ Rib sandwich special that I ordered and when I asked her for another ketchup bottle she brought it to me quickly. She was genuinely kind and was on top of customer service upon first impression. It's a nice location but has a very casual feel which is nice! I would like to give Paulina [5 Stars] and suggest the company to give her a nice recognition and/or special bonus or reward! Kindness goes a long way with me especially being a visitor from further away. Thankyou Paulina for simply being a good person!

We had the brisket sandwich, piggy fries and the big combo platter with potato salad and smoked macaroni salad. All the meat was super tender and moist. Very delicious. The potato salad was the only thing that we would pass on. But every thing else was really good. The prices were great. The staff were so sweet, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back
We were surprised, the BBQ here was pretty good and we enjoyed it. In addition to good BBQ they also have a lot of beer choices and specials. Coronado landing is also a great place to walk and visit and while there I would highly recommend giving this BBQ spot with covered dinning a try. Also it is right on the landing next tonthe water.
I stopped by this spot for some BBQ and tried their Pig Out Platter combo, which includes two meats and two sides. Since I’m big on protein, I added an extra meat, opting for two servings of beef brisket and an order of ribs. For my sides, I chose the mac & cheese and the smoked mac salad. They offer a solid variety of meats like pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs, plus sandwiches and burgers. There’s also a good selection of canned beers and seltzers to pair with your meal. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Half of my brisket was tender, but lacked seasoning. The other half of the beef ribs were unfortunately overcooked and quite dry. The mac & cheese was just okay, and the smoked mac salad didn’t have much flavor. Overall, it was still a good experience. The vibe and variety are there, but the flavor could use a boost. A little more seasoning and attention to doneness would go a long way in making this place stand out.
Pretty good for California BBQ! Good combination meals and bbq plates with delicious sides. Potato salad is great! Kids meal options, even a big juicy hotdog! They have sauce right on the table so don't over do it! Fountain drinks and canned beer. Friendly and fast service. Can get busy but worth checking out.
Didn't really like the food. Out is what I ordered so had to get something else. Liked the beans. Didn't care for the taste of the ribs. Staff was nice. atmosphere was like fast food almost. Order at coounter they bring it to your table. Pick your drink before you sit down. Quick eat. Toss your trash into the can and you are off. Did have gluten free options. Staff seemed to know about them. Just didn't care for the ribs... Kind of a musty taste to them.
Happy with our first time experience at this restaurant! Food was good for the most part. I’d recommend the pork sliders. a perfect lunch on a hot day. Not too heavy but still very filling! Fries and brisket were a 6/10. Brisket a little tough and dry.
Service was OK, the food was OK. The slaw was good, the brisket was tender but they don't really season it and there was no smoke flavor at all. This being said, their BBQ sauces are awesome. The brisket vinaigrette was fantastic, the mango habanero sauce is a favorite, and I even liked their regular BBQ sauce and that almost never happens.

Brisket had a great crust to it. Ribs fell off the bones. Smoked beans, could have used a little more smoke and thickness. Potato salad was on point. Only issue we had was the food wasnt hot or warm, only room temp hot. You want the BBQ to be at least warm coming out of the kitchen. Great beer selection. Would have liked to see more than just Peak Sweet Tea for the tea option but its not the south. Still well worth it for a ocean side BBQ shop.
We ordered a big spread — brisket, jalapeño sausage, pulled pork, fried pickles, fries, corn fritters, macaroni salad, pulled pork nachos, and corn. With the exception of the macaroni salad (which had zero flavor), everything was absolutely amazing — a solid 10 out of 10 on the food itself. The brisket, sausage, and pulled pork were spot on, and the sauces were excellent — flavorful, balanced, and paired perfectly with the meats. The biggest letdown was that they were out of baked potatoes, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese — kind of disappointing when those are staple BBQ sides. But the real reason for the 3 stars is the atmosphere. There was extremely loud heavy metal blasting from the kitchen, easily ten times louder than the dining room music. On top of that, the kitchen staff were screaming along like it was a concert. It completely killed the vibe and made it hard to enjoy what was otherwise excellent food. Honestly, the food was fantastic, but the noise and chaos coming from the kitchen would make me think twice about coming back.
I stopped in after deciding I didn’t want fast food tonight. The reviews were great and the food photos looked solid, so I figured I’d give it a try. I arrived around 5:30 and was surprised to find that about half the menu was already sold out. Definitely get here early, because the later it gets, the fewer options you’ll have. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which was good—no real complaints—but it wasn’t a “blow you out of the water” kind of experience either. The mac salad was fine, though it felt like it was missing something. I also got the brisket chili, which unfortunately came out cold. It was presented nicely with chives on top, but obviously should’ve been warm. The server apologized and offered to replace it, which I appreciated, but I declined. Overall, the food was okay. Convenient if you’re already nearby and want quick BBQ, but personally I think it might be worth driving over the bridge for more options and a better experience. Keep expectations reasonable and you’ll be fine.

As a long-time resident of Coronado, I have had the opportunity to dine at Little Piggy and Village Pizza numerous times. Unfortunately, my last couple visits to Little Piggy was not so good (From cold food such as pulled pork to never any baked potatoes available and most recently my order of a hotdog which came with fries). The hotdog was good, but the fries were hard as a rock, not edible.I subsequently contacted the establishment and spoke with a manager, but regrettably, I felt that my concerns were not adequately addressed. We do have options, so I definitely will think twice about going to this establishment or even recommending it to my family, friends or even a coworker.

Brisket was chewy and barely warm (tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for a long time. Pulled pork was dry. Chicken was alright. Spicy BBQ sauce was not spicy. Overall mediocre quality food, service was OK. The view of the water was probably the best part of the meal.
