Such a wonderful experience!!! The Gyro plate is amazinggggg. We also got the dolma SO GOOD. Our server Stephanie was so sweet a patient and helped with the menu. Can’t wait to go back!! Oh ya.. and the drinks are delicious. My husband got the raspberry tea- it was a fresh brewed tea that was so full of flavor. I got the homemade ginger ale!! Both are a must try!!
Stopped by Ginger Cafe and honestly loved it. The place has a really cozy vibe, not huge or loud, just comfortable and relaxed. Zack, the owner, was actually walking around talking to people and checking in on everyone which I thought was pretty cool. You don’t see that a lot anymore. I tried the butter chicken and wow… it’s probably the best in the city. Super flavorful and the portion was great too. Everything tasted really fresh. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
We’ve been coming to Ginger Cafe for years and they have never failed to impress. Our sever James was outstanding!!! Very personable and just a pleasure to be around. Our drinks never went empty and I highly recommend the chicken shawarma. My wife always gets the salmon. Their hummus and tabouli is fantastic as well!!
This restaurant has a somewhat casual atmospher and decor with a fine dining menuu. Companion had chicken shawarma wrap and fatush salad. I had lamb chops, roasted potato wedges, summer squash, and Greek salad. We both had delicious house made ginger ale and topped it off with two scoops each of gelato. Everything was delicious and very generous servings: free refills of ginger ale, large salads (greek had lots of feta), a small pita, four nice-sized chops and twice as much potatoes as I could eat. Our waitress was so attentive and so good at selling the menu, we asked if she belonged to the owner's family. (No) Our bill came to $75 including tax and credit card fee, but we didn't think that was bad, with our fresh ginger ale and dessert. My large lamb dinner was $28, but another restaurant we considered the previous night had lamb chop dinner for $54.
I love the service, and the food is perfect! The owner recommended me these delightful lamb shanks and muhammara as an appetizer. These were incredible, and the addition of the new bakery in the restraint allowed me to have an excellent dubai chocolate crepe, made right in front me! Can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I ordered early on Valentine’s Day because we absolutely love this restaurant and wanted to beat the rush. We placed our order online earlier in the day, but unfortunately it was lost in the system, likely because this place is just that popular and the food is incredible. When we couldn’t get through by phone, we sent an email, and the owner personally responded. Not only did they apologize, but they even offered to personally bring us our Valentine’s dinner. The food is always amazing, but what truly sets this restaurant apart is the customer service. That level of care and accountability is rare these days. We will continue to support and recommend this place. They have earned our loyalty even more.

Hospitality was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We were warmly welcomed by Johnny, making us feel like we were in a fine dining restaurant. The owner was friendly, greeted us personally, and even offered us pastries that are not yet on the menu. For the main dishes, I ordered a burger, butter chicken, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious, with well-balanced and precise flavors. Regarding the burger, I would have preferred feta cheese on the side rather than on top, as it was rich and made the sandwich lack some moisture. I would also have preferred beef instead of lamb and the addition of the restaurant’s special burger sauces, but I still enjoyed it very much. The fries were absolutely the best—crispy, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. The staff and owner were very kind and attentive. I would have preferred brighter lighting, slightly improved decor, and insect repellents for more comfort. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience with delicious food, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere.
This was my 1st visit and Ginger Cafe is officially my favorite restaurant. James provided phenomenal service, answered all of our questions, friendly, helped make choices that led to a delicious dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite!!! (My wonderful friends added to our excellent experience!!) Atmospheric music was perfect volume and added to our exceptional experience!!! Could not ask for anything better. When dinner was complete, the price felt perfectly priced!!! Can't wait to go back again!!!
Our server at Ginger Cafe was Eddie, and I was with a party of 14 people. This restaurant was an extremely excellent experiment for each and every one of us. Eddie took such good care of me and my family, was attentive to detail, and checked on us frequently. The food was amazing, very well prepared and beautifully done. Everyone was so happy, and the workers at the restaurant stayed open late for us without making us feel bad at all. I would come back here in a heartbeat, it was a wonderful way to end the night.
First time here was more then a great experience and majority of that reson was cause of the service especially from our server Eddie he was very helpful navigating the menu, food and desert items he also talked to us and made me and my brother in law feel welcomed ,service was 10 out of 10 multiple staff members came up and verified if everything was good which I appreciate , I was able to experience more then a few new dishes iv never tried including a malt drink ( in the photos) , hummus , pita bread , Shrimira ( might have butchered the name is apologize) The only reason I put Atmosphere 4 out of 5 stars was the design of the place felt off and felt like a remodel could be done it had nothing to do with cleansiness , lighting or damages this was purely subjective for me Also a side note which made the night better the food was delayed later then expected where they apologized and was given free food( hummus) and very fresh and hot pita bread which was very appreciated
We went in for dinner on Saturday after a long Black Friday shopping weekend and it was perfect. We had delicious, flavorful steak kabobs & lamb shanks & they even had beautiful Christmas music playing in the background, so relaxing!!! We had a wonderful experience at Ginger Cafe. From start to finish, everything was top notch. We ordered the lamb chops, gyro platter, and their freshly made kunafa, along with some homemade ginger ale and every single item was bursting with flavor. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection, easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The gyro platter was hearty and flavorful, and the kunafa was warm, cheesy, and delightfully crispy, the perfect way to end the meal. The great thing is it's all Halal. A special shoutout to Brook, our server, who made the experience even better. She was attentive, enthusiastic, and had a genuine smile the entire time. She took care of everything effortlessly, making us feel completely welcome. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing food and great service Ginger Cafe is a must-visit!

Ginger Cafe is one of the BEST restaurants in Corpus! I swear their food and service gets better every single time. And Brooke, our attentive server, was so nice and thoughtful! She made the experience so much more enjoyable. Can’t wait to be back!
We had a delicious meal of chicken shawarma and butter chicken. Tender, spicy and flavorful! We have been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. Brooke our waitress was attentive and friendly.
Still sitting here eating, but couldn't wait to write this review. The Chicken Souvlaki was a nice mix of spices and chicken. The tzatziki sauce complemented it well. The Calamari tasted really fresh. I enjoyed the golden breading. I even tried the Butter Chicken. Loved the spices and the basmati rice. Excellent food overall. Our waitress was brand new. Her first day on the job. She made a few mistakes but recovered like a professional. I hope you all enjoy this Mediterranean cuisine as much as I have. Almost forgot my wonderful Greek salad. Reminded me of the Island of Crete. Eat well...
I had the mushroom grilled chicken with zucchini & saffron rice. With the baba ghanoush appetizer. All was delicious, the only thing I would do differently is more soft naan bread for the baba ghanoush.
We tried Ginger Café for my daughter’s birthday, and it was such a great find! We started with the hummus and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. It came with chips and bread, and even my daughter (who doesn’t like hummus) kept going back for more. The portions were great, our plates were loaded with soft, flavorful meat and plenty of rice. Everything tasted amazing. The service was just as good as the food. Our waitress was very nice and patient. If you haven’t been, I 100% recommend checking out Ginger Café. Such a hidden gem in Corpus Christi. We’ll definitely be back!
The food was beyond delicious. I would rank it 11 out of 10. The taste, quality and quantity full of flavors. I had Lamb chops with rice. GM Scott and waitress was being very patient with us having two noisy toddlers.
Everything was delicious! Our four kids all enjoyed it and ate heartily. The kids’ chicken kabob was generously portioned and tasty. My husband and son loved the chicken masala and the butter chicken was amazing as well. We came on a friend’s recommendation and all felt it was well worth the 30 minute drive in from the beach!
Ginger Cafe & Grill in Corpus Christi is an incredible find. The lamb shank is to die for and truly one of the best I have ever had. It is tender, full of flavor, and falls right off the bone, making every bite unforgettable. The dolmas are also excellent, fresh and well seasoned. Everything feels carefully prepared with a lot of care. I definitely want to come back and try more from their menu, because this place really stands out.

The wife and I visited the restaurant tonight because we heard they had good lamb. The wife ordered the lamb chops, and I ordered a lamb burger. Her lamb chops were cooked medium, and my lamb burger was cooked medium rare. The lamb burger was delicious. I tried the wife's lamb chops, and they were delicious. The only thing keeping a star off was the service. Service was pretty slow, considering we came in before peak hours. We saw the cooks were prioritizing pick-up orders more than the dine-in orders. We had to wait 30 minutes for our food. Our server also never dealt with our drinks. She wasn't very attentive at all. She always walked by us. Overall, the service wasn't exceptional, but the food was good. 4/5 stars, me and the wife will come back again but please coach your servers and cooks on prioritization and how to be more attentive.
Nice staff, decent portion. However the gyro meat is sliced way too thick, (the texture becomes strange). Not enough onions and tomatoes and tzatziki sauce to go with it. So I lived in Greece 18 months I've only been in America for 3 months. Wondering why there's Spanish rice with my gyro.
