It is an awsome place I love being there with my friends (customers and the bar tenders), especially momma Dory she's cool she calls me her bar son . We all have that respect for one another And our friendship Is the greatest. Some of us have shed a few tears and have heard us out when were drunk at one point or another. But never the less we have all been there for eachother.

Our first visit to this place. Chose it because of it being within easy walk of LQ we were staying at. We first had a drink at the downstairs bar and then went upstairs for the remainder of our evening. Lady bartender downstairs was friendly and helpful. Liz, bartender upstairs, was equally the same. Small crowd, but a couple of other guys befriended us and the four of us spent the evening in conversation, with additional interaction with Liz. A very enjoyable evening.

My friend and I stopped in after visiting the Selena Museum and it was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was so wonderful, the drinks were perfect, music was great and we can't wait to come back :)

A historic bar with great drinks and i how it never closes, just don't know why allot of people don't go there anymore. It has two levels plus an upstairs patio area, and the walls are completely decorated with original and vintage decorations, and not forget the two full bars.

Lou's was known as the "Oilfield Trash" Bar for years. A lot of Oilfield money has flowed there. I just went to the 70th Anniversary Oct. 2022 and saw a lot of faces I haven't seen in years. Just a good old fashioned bar with both up and down stairs with pool tables and lots of stories.

Emily was as helpful as a guide to Corpus as anyone I’ve met in weeks!! The beverages were pricey for expectations based on the saloon name- but- friendly atmosphere and I’d go back for a drink.

I spent 14 months (June 2014 thru August 2015) working in Corpus and Lou's was my "home away from home" when I was off work. All the bartenders were very friendly, the atmosphere is great, the prices were very reasonable and the beer was always cold! If I'm ever back in Corpus, you can bet I'll be occupying a bar stool!

Love this treasure of a bar that has been here for decades (in the old part of Corpus Christi that has been largely abandoned now). This is a part of town that may feel sketch to outsiders, but you'll probably be okay. Just don't stumble out drunk and alone in the dark, and you'll have a great time!

If you're looking for a dive bar with a good crowd, this is the place. Friendly staff, music at the right volume (and it's a juke box, so pay up if you want your jams on), good drinks, and a cool atmosphere. Yeah, it seems a little dirty, but it's old. Dirt and age, the lines get blurred... It's so old it's the longest running liquor license in the state of Texas (thus the "oldest establishment in Texas" on the exterior). Check it out if you're in Corpus!

I was working nights at a local plant so it was a good place to meet up with coworkers and enjoy some cold beers after work. We enjoyed our time there as they have a few pool tables. Definitely a good spot to enjoy some beers after work.

I hear the food is great to, but unfortunately the kitchen was closed and I didn't get to try it. Wow that sounds like a good excuse to go back! Will let you know how that turns out...

Old school...like real old school bar. Don't let appearance fool you. Their lunch specials are fantastic and the lady who works during lunch is extremely nice and proud of her work. She has been working there for 10 years yet has the enthusiasm of a new employee.

The oldest bar, well two bars in Corpus and a very cool dive with friendly bartenders and great lunch. The downside is the neighborhood being completely industrial which may be good for their daytime crowds working around the area but doesn't bring in too many from downtown at night. Worth the drive to check out a piece of history and an excellent burger.

Super fun time here with Karaoke. The karaoke setup was lame (one mic and one tiny little screen) but the KJ was very fun and friendly.

We've always talked about stopping into this place, and even though Monday nights are not the best for socializing ( we were 3 of maybe 8 people there) the drink prices were very good and we didnt have to wait for service!!! We also played a old bar game similar to shuffle board, the bartender said it was 50 years old, and it was a lot of fun!!

It's blue collar. Not real nice but not bad. The people are nice and there's free peanuts lol.

Still okay to drop in on from time-to-time. The foods pretty good. Crowd is hit and miss. Bar maids are hit and miss.

You can smoke cigarettes upstairs but not Cigars....really!!! Someone make sense to this for me? Now as for the customer service, well it's a wipe your feet when you leave place. Cool old bar, but no good if I can't smoke a cigar.

Been there several times spend over 100 dollars take friends with me and today of all days waitress was like literally ignoring us like if we weren't there very upset we stand there waiting to be waited on and someone walks in and attends them first it happened like 4 times in 2 and a half hours. But ok..

Over the years (1994-present) I've had good times at this Saloon. Its a local landmark and pretty much stays the same. Different groups gather here and it remains a good place to hang out with pals or just the friendly bar staff....oldie but goodie....

This place has always caught my eye when I’m in the area. Stopped in one night to check it out. Super divey. Definitely got a lot of stares when we first walked in, but everyone was friendly. The main entrance is opposite the side facing Leopard. Looks like there’s an upstairs deck, but it didn’t seem to be open when we were there. Inside there are two pool tables, and it’s $1 per game. The pool table we picked was missing a ball. The only thing I did not like was that people were smoking inside. I was surprised as I thought smoking was banned indoors, but none of the bartenders said anything.

I really had high hopes for this place. I really like going to bars like this one that have a history and not some cookie-cutter bar in a strip center. AI said they have food. When I arrived a member of management (who was very nice) told me that they only served food during the day and not at night. The upstairs bartender Roxy (who was courteous) served me a beer and then went and sat with the only other customer in the bar. It was apparently someone she knew, and they sat and socialized. So, while she was courteous, her hospitality was completely lacking by not standing at the bar attending to all two customers, and instead going and sitting down (which doesnt look professional in my opinion) with someone she knows and ignoring the other customer. After the second beer, I left. Was kinda disappointed and underwhelmed. Maybe she didnt realize that she works in a unique bar and people expect better than a strip center bartender. Maybe if I return i will try the downstairs bar instead.

Says they open at seven. They’re never open at that time. The guys at the plant that work nights, would go but won’t. Simply because, they don’t open when they say they do.

This is genuinely a disgusting place, I cannot recommend enough to stray away. Unless it is you're a lonely and divorced single man who wants fake flirting from the bartenders. My wife and I walked in and were looked at with disgust because we didn't look miserable enough to be there. We left after receiving our first drink due to the horrible quality of the service, the bartender played cards in the corner with someones divorced dad instead of attending to any of the guests, and even though people were smoking cigarettes in there I couldn't stop smelling a strange musty smell that made my stomach turn. If you love yourself you probably won't ever go there or if you make the same mistake as us you will NEVER return.

Weak drinks and bad bartenders. Guess they don't like people who spend money. Swear I drank like 5 jack and cokes and couldn't taste a thing. Go to the watering hole! Best bartenders, cheaper drinks and better atmosphere!!! You'll thank me!
