Great meals. My wife had breakfast, and I had menudo. We enjoyed our meals very much. Our waitress was very friendly and there was our meals arrived quickly. We will be back.
Always good Mexican food. Not too greasy like jaliscos. Prices are reasonable. Service is always decent. Tables are always available. Meals are consistent. Currently accepting dine in, drive through and takeout. They usually have flour chips if you ask!
It wasnt packed, my food came out in a timely manner, and was delicious I might add. The waitresses we're very kind and attentive. Oh and the drinks 🥰 we're awesome I got the mango chamoy margarita and my wife had the Pina colada , definitely recommended....
Service was great! Food was great! I witnessed them spray down the menus after each use and you also have to sanitize your hands upon walking in. I had crispy tacos and they packed them with meat.
Corpus has many good Mexican restaurants but this one is among the best.
My family and myself were on vacation and first time being in Corpus we stopped at the first resteraunt we could see being as hungry as we were lol and it was this restaurant and we were very surprised! Very very good tacos and our waitress was great! Although the smell inside wasn't too pleasant but otherwise we would definitely come here again for the food🖒!
First time here how is it going towards the dentist office and never had an opportunity to stop by. All right the first time we did stop by and the breakfast was awesome I love the flour tortillas they are homemade and I had the papa rancheras that was awesome highly recommend this place
This restaurant is one of the newest in town. It's always clean and the employ a large enough staff to care for the diners. I'm always greeted, the staff is friendly, and the bathrooms are always attended The food you ask? Order taken and prepared quickly. Your meal here will have you returning again and again
My favorite restaurant in Corpus Christi! This particular location was the first restaurant I've been to when I first came to CC in the summer of 2014. My cousin and his wife frequent here for breakfast and they serve my favorite breakfast tacos here too. Any meal you have here is excellent. Great people and great service. Highly recommended!
The food, service, and atmosphere were exceptionally good. I have passed by this restaurant many times and never realized what a hidden charm this was. Fast service. Clean restaurant and restroom. Margaritas were on par. Eat here, you'll definitely enjoy it.
Service great! Drinks amazing! Food delicious!
Friendly service, fresh food and great mango margaritas
Me and my friend came in because we saw this on a list of best restaurant in corpus. So we came in with high expectations and we weren't disappointed in any way. Big restaurant and very clean. We both ordered enchiladas and it was very delicious. Had a great server as well. Overall a great experience. Bathrooms are also big and freshly cleaned as well. Would come back here again when I visit corpus.
One of my favorite Acapulco's on Weber You cannot go wrong there The food is always delicious It comes out right away The service is great I love it there We go there all the time
Good food.. got a breakfast burrito, the flour tortilla was phenomenal
First time there. But hopefully it will become a regular stop every time I come back to Corpus Christi. The food was delicious!!! The wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Great food as always and great price.
I'm not sure how they're food is sooo good. All of it. And it's always cooked to perfection. We are super picky on how shrimp is prepared and they nail it every time! We've never gotten anything here that we didn't love. Highly recomend!
Always great, just a bit loud, need wall decor to absorb some of the sound, but that's me.
First time trying this place. I went thru the drive though for 2 Carne Guisada tacos. They were very tasty with a reddish gravy, which is my preference. The hot sauce was the perfect spice for me. I like it hot! But not too hot. It's a busy location so the wait was acceptable.
No matter what you order here, it always is great food. How do I know this? Well, my 84 year old mother eats every last piece of food on her plate when we eat here. She is picky so that's how I know this place is great. Plus I love the food also.
This place rocks! Staff, Food and everything about it. Highly recommend!
We had the Botana plate for two and it was exceptional. It was cooked to perfection. We had margaritas with dinner, also made to perfection. Very clean restaurant, restrooms, and service. The food came out quickly. Definitely our new go to for mexican food. Parking was plentiful. 👌
I went on a Friday and expected a taco special this being first time I have been in the restaurant. No taco special was offered. But they did offer a chorizo and egg plate with beans . The plate came with tortillas and coffee. I got out of there only paying nine dollars and some change for two plates. As I said it was first time I have been there but the food was very good.
Great atmosphere. Clean and open space. Food was good but like every place prices have gone up. The tea is over $3 and it only comes in large so for four people ordering tea you have already spent over $12 before ordering the meal, but this is everywhere. I do love their pineapple water.,..so good
The food is very good, but my comment is not about the food. There is a sign on the door and the counter where you pay stating they are charging an extra 45 cents for tacos and 99 cents for breakfast plates due to the high price of eggs. If I am not mistaken the price of eggs are now lower than before the price spike. Talk about scamming your guests. I have been coming here for years but will not eat here again. Most restaurants have dropped their prices back.
Uriel was our server and he was super polite and gave us a fantastic service. My husband and I got the molcajete dinner for 2 and it was probably the best hot plate entree that we have ever eaten. It came out sizzling hot and it was a HUGE portion. Definitely recommend that entree and the restaurant in general. We will definitely be back again very soon.
It's one of my favorite spots to eat when I visit corpus. Just a short drive from the hotels downtown sits this awesome little gem. I've been coming here for nearly 20 years, and that says a lot. With prices that are affordable and portions to satisfy a big appetite, this is a must try when in the area.
This place is great. We had the specials and the food was hot and fresh. So delicious! Update: I tried the Tortilla Soup on our next visit and was disappointed because it was more like broth with chicken, a little cheese & avocado and topped with small tortilla chips which became soggy really quick. There was no corn or black beans in it and no cilantro either, but it came with a side of pico de gallo which I thought was odd. But I guess everyone makes it different. My husband had the fajita with nopales plate, but the meat didn’t look like fajitas. And our meals were only lukewarm and not hot like they usually are, but still tasty. So this visit was only 4 stars.
I usually add photos but it was so delicious I forgot. Great place, very delicious tacos 🤤
They really do have great food, but the price is just a little bit high! I love the chimichanga with sauce. Would highly recommend this place. Never had anything but delicious food here, every single time.
Their queso dip is strange. Looks powdery. They offered a sample bc I'm assuming people return it. Everything was good and the queso on the food was normal. I'm not sure why the queso dip was different.
Very good food plates a little small in portions but my wife was not happy with what they call sirloin steak dry and thin . anyways the waitress was very courteous and polite and exchanged her plate without extra charge. Fajita plate very good. Beautiful remodeling.
Good place to eat with family and friends as they have big tables to fit many people. Not expensive and they serve you a big amount. The service is usually very good, I guess it may depend on who's working that day but all in all a nice atmosphere.
Food was good. Waiter seemed bothered.
Food was good, not great. The flour tortillas were really good. Waitress needed a better attitude. This affected her tip. Interior of the building is nice. I would give this restaurant a 7 out of 10.
My fiancé had to go to work so we met here to eat before he left. He got their Calvo, and I got their Acapulco fries with extra cheese and extra gravy. He said the soup was okay, and sadly it didn't come with rice. (Usually soups come with rice) but their fries were amazing and so flavorful! Maybe it was their gravy but it was way better than the one on weber.
Our server (Iris?) was very courteous and attentive. This has been our go-to when we are on that side of town. The food was very good as always. Hot and plentiful. The parking is kinda tight, especially for larger vehicles, but it's not a deal breaker.
Always a good option for all your favorites. The quality and flavors are consistent with every visit. Today I had the enchiladas with one cheese, one beef and one chicken this is not how they are on the menu, but my waitress was able to accommodate the request. I also ordered a asada taco on the side. Everything was delicious. This place will always get my money :-)
For an appetizer, we ordered Acapulco fries. The dish comes with seasoned fries, gravy, carne asada, and cheese, all served on a hot plate. This is one of our kids' favorites. I ordered a chicken caldo. The portions were good, although I was a little disappointed in the broth. I had to add salt, lime, and salsa to doctor the flavor. Other than that, my soup was great. The soup is served with a side of rice and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. The homemade corn tortillas are so soft and fluffy. A definite must-have! My daughter had the torta with the carne asada, and hubby had the fajita plate with nopales. No complaints out of them, so I'm assuming it was good. Overall, Acapulco is still one of our go-to spots for Mexican food.
My sister and I ordered the tripas plate. She ordered hers well done and I ordered mine medium. I noticed that on this visit it was less food than on previous visits. My sister said that she remembers we got lettuce and tomatoes and also guacamole on previous visits. Prices went up on everything, nonetheless, it was good.
The food quality was outstanding, make no mistake. Other factors detracted from it, though. Most concerning to us was the condition of the building. The carpet looked old and in dire need of replacement, although it was appeared reasonably vacuumed. The ceiling appeared to harvest what might have been mold, although a simple visual inspection isn't conclusive. The men's bathroom was not in good shape. It appeared to us the staff was not to blame for the care of the building, which appeared run down; instead, the facility itself appeared in serious need of attention. The service was spotty, but friendly. Service was slow, but the payoff with the food was good. The beans were terrific. We had to ask for our ticket because 10 minutes after we'd finished and were ready to leave, servers kept passing by our table without stopping. Pleasantly, though, during our wait, two rancherito singers playing an accordion and a guitar started playing. Dear management: Please complement your quality food with a quality atmosphere, and you'd surely be rewarded.
I was impressed by the number of customers inside which is usually a good sign but upon further inspection, I was unimpressed by the meal I ordered. The scrambled eggs were really undercooked and runny and it was accompanied by store bought flour tortillas which in my opinion doesn't compare to the taste and flavor of authentic homemade flour tortillas. Offering the availability of a spicier Ranchero sauce for my order would've been helpful as well. The one that accompanied my meal was watered down and not very spicy and more was needed to add to the sides that accompanied my meal. I had a great experience with the waitress and the coffee and food was delicious after sending it back to the kitchen. I had my eggs recooked but the wait made my company and I uncomfortable because we try to make it a point to eat together when our meals are prepared. It makes for bad etiquette, to eat before the other person gets their meal as It makes the other person feel left out or embarrassed by the unwanted spotlight of attention they are receiving. I didn't want their food to get cold waiting on my meal to make its way back to me. These thoughts and feelings only added to the negative experience and expectations I had on dining there. The anxiety I received from the experience is usually enough to deter me from visiting again. I attribute the outcome to maybe it being an oversight on their part. It's not enough to deter me from not going there again. I'll just be a little more selective next time on what I order knowing what I know now. Who knows, maybe they offer homemade tortillas and the cook was just having an off day.
On Sunday , we went to have breakfast I ordered fajita taco and small menudo and my bf had the rib eye steak breakfast plate. We were charged extra in every plate. It’s a good restaurant but they need to follow the price menu and not over charge their customers.
Didn’t touch much of my chicken verde enchiladas. I didn’t like the flavor compared to ones of had before. The tortillas are always the best, thick and fluffy! Wish they would revamp their queso because it’s bland. Food is always mediocre but something I just crave some salsa and chips with a margarita
Good food, and Gr8 wait staff but the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Also, they nickel and dime you at checkout adding service charges for credit cards and such. Better places to eat with no charge for CC use.
The food is good but it would be a lot better if they have good taco sauce the green and red sauce is no good
Ordered a beef enchiladas plate in the drive-thru. Waited about 10 minutes behind one other car and then another 12 minutes at the window for my one take out dinner. That's a looong wait for a plate that should be ready in just a few minutes. And this was early afternoon, very few cars in parking lot. The Acapulco Restaurant on Airline is always very good with food and service. Not this place on Weber.
Food was delicious (carne asada mini tacos, quesadillas de asada, charro beans and tripas). HOWEVER, the service was horrible (drive through). There was a miscommunication during the order that we explained when we were told the total. She argued. Then the manager argued and complained about changing the order due to her employees misunderstanding. Even though we corrected the error immediately before paying and before any food was handed to us. Be careful ordering quesadillas here!!!
The good: Tortillas are amazing! Margaritas are good. The OK: The food. Not bad, not great The BAD: The service. Slow in every way. Had to track someone down for more chips and tea. Wasn’t busy.....maybe 8 tables. Went there twice today. Same experience. Can’t see going back which is unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place.
Terrible, very low quality food. Ordered the chicken chimichanga which was extremely spicy, no cheese and very bland. Salsa was not flavorful either. Definitely never coming back. Only giving two stars because the restaurant was clean and service was fast.
I had just told my friend that I thought I liked this restaurant the best of of all of them and then the waitress came with the ticket and and the over priced stuff and ruined it all, I'm ma'am really 55 cents for tap water??? Are you broke?? And your queso, what's the deal with two bowl sizes at the same price??? I'm just very disappointed. However, I know where there is good food and it's consistent.
Awful customer service from the ladies that work there. Trying to say about the bad service and I felt like they didn't want to hear it or just plain didn't give a care in the world
Acapulco used to be my go to spot, their food was good and prices were okay. They have since updated their menu along with prices and now it doesn’t make sense to pay 17 dollars for a quesadilla plate with rice and beans. Not only have the prices gone up but quality has gone down. We went through the drive through at about 9 PM for dinner and they completely swapped our order with someone else’s which I found pretty impressive given that there were only 2 of us in the drive thru.
Giving it a 3 only for the food. It came out hot and tasted good. The atmosphere is not bad. The waitress customer service was very poor. We never saw her to flag her down for a tea refills, so we didn't get one. But the gross kicker was seeing my cup, it had another cup in it. It was snaller, but it was there. Was it clean? How long as it been there? You couldn't see it till my tea and ice went down. Will we be back, hard no. I was so grossed out.
I will never eat anything at this place. The food was so bad it looked like they opened a can of spaghetti and dumped it on the plate. My poor husband was not happy with me because I didn't like the food, but his wasn't any better. We were very hungry and had gotten out of the doctors office (after NPO the night before)A test in the Dr.office had left us starting, we decided to eat lunch at the Acapulco restaurant its on Weber and so was the Dr. offices anyway the food was horrible, they couldn't get the ticket right and charged us $36.00 I don't know how much sweet tea costs but there you have it.never again.
I was disappointed with my dinner there was no flavor. The cheese was super watery. I know because of recent price increases. I’ve noticed a lot of restaurants are adding on other ingredients to stretch things out like I said, I ordered a cheese and it taste like water instead of cheese I’ve noticed a lot of small restaurants are doing the same thing.
Drive thru orders please check to make sure your orders are as ordered.. On several occasions I have order different food items with extra or addition to
Ridiculous charges. I can not believe they charge to have well cooked food. They charge extra to have your tortillas well cooked. I would understand if they are giving me something extra, if i ask for extra beans, extra meat, extraI tortillaa ...ok charge me'll be glad to pay, but you're just heating up my freaking tortillas. All these little hidden charges . .Ridiculous!!!!!
Take cash if you don't want to be ripped off with the 3% for using your card ; from that to the food, went to celebrate my aunt's birthday and order the #1, it comes with pico de gallo, I was enjoying my meal when I felt something weird, it was the tomato sticker, so obviously they do not wash the veggies, otherwise they would've seen it, so I show the sticker to the waitress and she acts like it's no big deal, well it is if they're not washing the veggies.....after that I couldn't finish my food, it grossed me out.
We went to Celebrate our birthdays and ordered their happy hour margaritas which suppository were $6.00. We ordered food which was very good, the waitress came once and then we called another waitress that gave us our ticket I told the waitress that I didn't like th margarita, which I did not drink it,it was full and the waitress in charge said she was sorry that we had to pay for that drink, which I didn't think I had to pay for something I did not like and didn't drink, the waitress ignored and continued to argue that she could not credit me for it,she finally said she would charge me $4.00 fot it but once she got my debit card still charged me 5.00 for that drink any way. They lost 4 customers for refusing to credit 6.00 for a drink I did not drink and still have to pay 6.00 for it.
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and this is my closest taqueria. 2 times this week I have had a horrible experience with the drive thru and manager Anna there at this location. They got my order wrong 2 times this week and all I received was attitude and rudeness lady at the window refused to give her name and manager won’t give me Corprate number. Don’t come here worst place in corpus
Horrible food ,horrible service my wife and I both became really ill with stomache pain and diarrhea place has lost quality quickly
I ordered a chicken and beef fajita place and they gave me a bunch of tiny pieces of chicken and very fatty carne asada. I ask for charro beans and they gave me refried. Very nasty greasy food. Don’t recommend as this isn’t the first time of them giving out nasty food.
Terrible experience! Ordered a botana for four of chicken, beef fajitas with sausage $ 64.64 card . Forgot to order chips and salsa. Asked for chips and salsa for $6.48. Got home and the chips were wrachet/ smelled horrible. Call the restaurant told them about the chips spoke to Joanna. I was told, bring them back. I get there and the manager Carol, was putting on lotion. Carol took the bag and placed it to the side. I showed her the receipt and would not reimburse me what I paid, per owners order. I told her to open the bag and smell them. She stated, she was not going to smell them because I had them at my home. I asked for the owner. Stated he would be in tomorrow. I asked her for the foul smelling bag of chips.she hands me the bag. I opened the bag so she could get a smell of the bad, watched, stinky, foul chips being sold. Carol asked me to leave or she was calling the police.
Food was great. The service was terrible and they don’t seem to care. In this economy support a local business that cares about its customers. Businesses are not entitled to community money they need to earn it through friendly, prompt, efficient and professional service. There are many choices for Mexican food in the city. If you want a nice meal with friendly and respectful service choose another restaurant.
The manager would rather argue with a customer about the satisfaction of the food than to actually satisfy and accommodate. My daughter ordered a chicken quesadilla and simply did not like it. I asked if we could swap it out with a cheese quesadilla and the manager would not swap it out. She repeatedly said now they have to throw the food away and it was a waste. She did not take time to listen that all we wanted to do was swap it out. She said "let me see what I can do" when she is obviously the manager who could have said the word and just swapped it out and done-but nope. It's cheese, tortilla and chicken-is it really that big of an expense to the restaurant? This is not the first time something like this has happened at the same restaurant. I will never be back due to management being ignorant. I would have given no stars if it would allow me to.
Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Last night I was eating and found a bug in my food, When I brought it to the attention of the manager, the manager said we would still have to pay for the plate that the bug was in, because it wasn’t in there before. She even asked us if we put it in there. I was horrified that I was being accused of putting a bug in my own food. WHO DOES THAT. I was there with my entire family Who came down over the Thanksgiving weekend we spent over $75 and to be treated like that was absurd. She was a female manager who had dirty blonde hair, she was short, wide, and tan and who obviously had anger issues. SIS You work in the customer service industry! Learn how to treat the customers.
Am used to coming to Corpus and always eating here at Acapulcos. However, today was not my day. Ordered Menudo, I just tasted the meat and was hard, needed more cooking and it had an after taste. On the meat. Ewww, let the waitress know, she came back saying they had to charge me the menudo, and they couldn't take it away from ticket. Now that's wrong. Never heard such a restaurant that dont acknowledge the customer to make things right. Never will I give buisness to this people. I will pass it on Facebook and all my families that have a buisness and eat there. 8.99 was the menudo, that owner must be a tight waat. They could atleast asked me if I wanted anything else instead. That's how buisness owners do. God will fight for me. And will do justice for the 8.99 and it's not to much the cost, but the service. How they acknowledged me been a customer. Don't go there this will happen to all who go there and don't like the food.
Sucked asked for shredded chicken quesadillas and got fajitas And on another note got store bought tortillas … I hadn’t been there in a good minute but then getting food like that makes me remember why I hadn’t been back
We went to the drive thru got 5 tacos 🌮 they were disgusting!! Got two barbacoa and the meat didn't even look or taste like barbacoa it was really gross 🤢🤮 also got cheese bean and bacon and a machacado taco, beans tasted like can beans. Just 🤮
My husband and I went through the drive-thru and ordered 2 licuados. The lady at the window had said they didn't have any. I had informed her that I called before going to the restaurant and I was informed that they did have some and that is why I made the trip. She then said, they only had strawberry; so we ordered 2 large strawberry licuados. When we received them, we tasted them real quick and they had a funny taste and smelled real bad. We told the lady that there was something wrong with the licuados and asked for our money back. She said no, they don't do refunds and that she will remake them. She took them back from us, put them back in the blender, added some more stuff to the blender, put them back in the cups and gave them back. She asked how was it then and I told her they tasted the same, it tasted as if the milk was spoiled. I asked for her manager and she asked for my card back. I told her I will give it to the supervisor. When the supervisor came, she was very rude and stated that they don't give refunds and that my licuados should not have been remade in the 1st place and that if I did want them remade then I should have been charged a 2nd time. I informed her that no where does it state that they don't do refunds. She said it was noted at the front of the door. I told her I will go around and check for myself. When I went around to the front door to check where the sign was, the staff locked the front door and turned off the lights and ran to the kitchen. I thought that was very unprofessional of the staff to treat a paying customer that way. So not only did they charge me for awful licuados but I didn't even get the product in hand. I will definitely never go back to this establishment again!!!
We came here with family for dinner and we ordered the tortilla soup in hopes of having a good meal with family. Not only was the soup the only meal that came out way later after everyone got their plate. But it was cold at that! The soup doesn’t even look appealing to us and it tasted exactly like chicken noodle soup from the can at HEB . I really don’t know what happened to the place. I ordered the queso and it was okay, and my quesadilla came out but was super greasy. So I ended up not eating it but taking it to go to at least give to my dog. Oh and not to mention when the manager came up to us to ask the soup she was unprofessional and basically just asked if the soup was good and didn’t even want to address that she wouldn’t be speaking to me if it wasn’t an issue. Then she reassured me that on our ticket the only thing that would be taken off was the soup which is like of course that’s the only thing I’m complaining about?? Like what is going on!!?? So it wasn’t a good experience at all
I ordered 7 orders of tacos al pastor. And what I got was 7 orders of burned dry meat. ( I went through dive thur) I called to complain the lady I spoke to acknowledged that she had seen the meat was burned. She said they could only make one order good. Never again will I go to this place. All 7 orders looked like the pictures I posted.
Worst Chicken Tortilla Soup I’ve ever had! Served in straight boiled chicken broth with absolutely no seasonings at all. Asked to Removed from my ticket Manager came out and denied for it to be removed, that I had to pick something else on the menu like chicken Caldo They brought out the chicken Caldo and again this is the worst chicken Caldo I have ever had in my life 2 Carrot sticks, one corn and two potatoes, no cabbage! and no seasonings! Again tasted watered down chicken broth did not even look Appetizing! Will be not returning!
This place has no customer courtesy. Nothing is their fault. A family member of mine orders the tortilla soup all the time but this time it smelled bad. The manager said she was going to go taste it and smell it to see what she thought. Of course she says it's absolutely fine and it doesn't matter what we say she is not taking it off the bill whether she takes it back or not. Also, when we ordered 2 small beers the bartender accidentally gave us large. She came back and said she had made a mistake but she will take them back and give us smalls. We kept the larges. It was her mistake but she still charged the large size. We are regulars here but not anymore.
NO STARS but didn’t have that option! Ordered menudo & was too salty. Complained to waitress and she said she would ask floor manager to come talk with me. Floor manager comes to hear my complaint then says she’ll talk to kitchen. Floor mgr comes back to say the kitchen said it was not salty so i asked her have you tasted it and she said no. I told her i don’t like it I’m not going to eat it just take it away. She says she has to talk to owner so i told her to just bring him to the table! Seriously worst customer service EVER in fact, no customer service PERIOD!!! Just because 2 others at table ordered menudo and did say it was salty but they ate it with plenty of lime I was suppose to like it too. NO, our taste buds are not the same. So owner finally comes to table to ask what happened and proceeds to say the same thing. At this point i just want to throw the bowl at them! He finally decides he will take it off my ticket but tells the waitress to leave it at the table. For what reason I have no idea, there was 6 of us! we didn’t need it to just sit there. Anyway I won’t go back! I also asked for more hominy and not so much meat and they served the exact opposite! Vent Over!
