I come here quite often, I like pick of fish, chicken, turkey or beef. The many choices of vegetables is a plus. Real plates and silverware, drink refills at the table. For the price of what you pay at a fast food place.

The food was great and the consistent flavors in all my favorite dishes brought back great childhood memories! I was literally 9 years old again! The serving line staff were so professional and friendly; and the waitresses made the dining room feel homelike and cozy.

I was impressed with my visit to Luby's recently. I walked up to the serving line, and the first thing I saw was the fresh salads . Then I proceeded to the food section, and everything was absolutely freshly made and piping hot. I had the Luann chicken fried steak, mac and cheese, and spinach. The staff were really nice and helpful. I will definitely be coming back.

The food here is phenomenal! Me and the wife always come back and we always get the fried fish combo. The wife loves the macaroni and cheese and the green beans. I love the green beans and the mashed potatoes (no gravy). Would highly, highly recommend this place if you're in the Corpus Christi Southside area!

Cold salads were delicious. The staff is all so friendly they were able to accommodate a big group of us. Food preparation can be improved i.e fried chicken and the rib eye steak

Walked in to go and ordered my meals. Waited in a timely manner as the server prepared my take out. Meal was safely put in take out containers. The server opened each container to ask if everything was to my liking. Ordered the fried fish and was placed in foil and still nice and warm when I got home across town. Everything was great as usual.

Had the catfish, green beans and yams. It was a nice surprise to see catfish on the line. It was cooked perfectly. It was a nice piece that filled me up with the two sides. Yams were great. Nice dessert. Service was great. Good attention from our server.

Good value, kids 10 and under eat free on Saturday and Wednesday from 11-close. My son and I both ate with sodas for under $15. The food is good, typical cafeteria fare...a bit better and more fresh than a buffet, but not as good as a nice sit down meal. For the price it's great and you get so much food! I skipped the desert, but could have been included.

Lubys has always been a great place to have a family meal. While prices have changed one of the things that hasn't is the great people they employee. While in line one of the ladies wished a customer a belated birthday and he was blown away she remembered his birthday. Food is always really good and while most even bother to try, the liver and onions is always just right. Their willingness to help you to your table when you have the kids and quick drink refills make the experience almost home like. Did I mention the Arnold Palmers are always made just right?

When I want to feel twelve again, I'll eat here. The food is just as good as it was when gas was still 25 cents a gallon. I try to limit how many times I go to just once a week because I'll go every day to get the fried fish.

One of the things my family hates is walking into a restaurant and realizing it smells horrible. This has happened at Golden Corral, Olive Garden, and Longhorn Steakhouse. One of the reasons we love Luby's as a buffet option is because they take great care of the facility and it is comfortable and enjoyable to dine in. We always find that the staff is super polite and helpful as well. Very affordable for a family and always great options on the line. If you haven't been in a while, you should go!

I'd like to thank Luby's of Corpus Christi, Tx. We had planned to go to another restaurant for a birthday lunch with family. When we called that restaurant to give them a heads up for 20 people, they said they only had 1 server show up to work that day!! (Is a big Mexican restaurant). ....and could not accommodate us. We thought about where else we could go with available tables and staff and not a 2 hour wait for those tables. My wife thought of Luby's. Luby's was very accommodating, moved tables together for us and were awesome. They looked fully staffed and the waitress was great refilling drinks & clearing dishes constantly. Thank you Luby's and the staff of Luby's for SHOWING UP and doing a great job. You saved our birthday luncheon!

I took my friend for a good home cooked meal & it was delicious! I got the fried catfish, it was delightful. I also got the broccoli like I normally do & wasn't very happy with that, thought I took it home & cooked it longer with the red potatoes & had another meal as they were generous portions! I got my son a chicken fried steak to go & he loved it!!! Really cant go wrong eating at Luby's...

We visit lubys whenever we are in corpus Christi. The food is always good and hot, but today it was different our food was cold and the okra needed to be fried a little longer.

What can I say, I love Luby's. This was my first time coming to eat here since I got to Corpus. I really missed the food here, since it closed down where I'm from. The food was as good as I remember. My only complaint is that the Fried Fish was not as crunchy as it should have been and the batter lacks flavor. The bottom of the fish was soggy. The mashed potatoes needed a little more salt, as did the gravy. Other than that, it was an enjoyable meal!!!

First time I went here to get take out, both meals for missing food that we paid for. The next time I went here and ate inside everything was good but they didn’t have the baked almandine cooked yet which is why I came. I got a different baked fish that has lemon and garlic that tasted good as well.

The variety of meats available should appeal to whatever you crave. All looked delicious. Portion size are good. Pick and choose what you want. Fish almondine was delicious. Salads and desserts were fresh. a nice place to share a meal with a friend.

I like taking my mother to Luby's every now and then. The food is good and the staff are usually friendly it's just the prices dang. For 3 adults we paid $81.25. I just think it's a bit on the pricey side. But overall a good place to eat.

first time there. didn't know what to expect. ordered haddock; it was just okay - will not order again. got cornbread. it, too, was just okay - might order again depending on what other stuff i will be ordering. first time i had spinach made like that. asked the rep behind the counter what was in it. she had no response; just gave me that weird look. so I just asked her go ahead and gave me an order of it. glad i got it; will definitely be ordering again. also ordered a side salad. will check out the to-go option another day. it's located right next door to the sit-down part of Luby's.

My mother was not satisfied with the liver and onions. First, they didn't have white rice to accompany the liver which was unusual. Second, the liver was tough to chew.

Luby's is good food and has friendly staff. It's not gourmet but it definitely won't break the bank.

My wife and I don't go as often as we used to; maybe 2-3 time a year. Always very friendly service. The food is never spectacular but consistently very good I enjoy the variety but I usually have one or the other of my two favorites (baked whitefish or chicken fried steak).

I enjoyed my food there as always. The lady that attended my sister and me @ our table was Kind Sweet Provided customer service. @ Attentive. I believe her name was Pat. I have only two real complaints. They are. The fish is MUCH smaller than it used to be, so it is not so filling. The Mac @ cheese 🧀 is being cheated on. Water instead of milk or heavy cream( something) No cheese MIXED in with the Mac, SOME Cheese sitting on top of the pan, THATS NOT MAC AND CHEESE.

Basically a cafeteria. But they have a great senior deal after 3pm. Smaller entree portion for a good price. One of the few restaurants where you have a selection of vegetables.

Outstanding dinner experience! Food was delicious, I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken after hearing a person ahead of me order it and said it was her favorite. It was very good indeed, and both the meat and vegetable portions were generous and perfectly prepared. Great meal. Will definitely get it again.

I had the King Ranch Chicken with baby carrots and fried okra. The food was good if a little over priced. The restaurant was about half full so we were able to hold a conversation without raising our voices. The service was good.

Hadn't eaten at Lubys in years. I remember the jalapeno corn bread paired with the chicken fried steak. Was'nt too bad at all. Corn bread was about half the size from the last time I ate there though.

Food was excellent as always. The waitress was attentive and made sure my glasses were never empty and even offered us to go drinks.

Pros: This place has a large selection of food to choose from. Plenty of healthy foods are available. There are televisions on the wall that you can watch while you eat. Place is spacious and comfortable. Cons: Menu doesn't change too much from day to day. Price is higher than average.

I hadn't been to a Luby's in years I used to visit frequently when I was growing up. I will say the food was very tasty I had no issues there. The tea was very good which it is usually hard to find good tea at restaurants. The service was good all of the staff were very nice. We decided we would definitely be coming back again. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the place needs updating. I really think more people would give Luby's a chance if it was updated and didn't have such an old run down feel. The food is there, its good and you get good portions and there are even delicious healthy options just update the place a little that is all.

We moved from AZ to Corpus. We were so happy when we found Lubys. The food is great. The people on the line really need some customer service training. When you walk in the door they stare at customers like they wish you could disappear. They serve you the driest roll or the smallest broccoli. They really look miserable. So sad. One on the line might be ok. Be kind to one another!

Luby's is a classic. Reminds me of my childhood. The fried fish is the only dish I have ever gotten there and today it was mushy. It has never not been nice and crispy. However, I still ate it all.

I am very disappointed in Luby's. I was there two days ago. There was a leak on the ceiling, and the tiles were down. It looked really bad. The buffet area was very hot. The dining area smelled of old and dirty carpet. The lady's R.R. was hot, and the smell of urine was terrible. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. WHAT HAPPENED?? The wait staff was friendly, but the image of Luby's needs an update. I don't want to go back.

This place has high quality American -Style food dishes at reasonable prices, and with a wide variety of choices. Specials are advertised daily on the Restaurant's Chalkboard Menu that is at the start of the serving line, inside the restaurant.

Fried fish was either overcooked or had been sitting on the hot table for awhile. Red potatoes were very salty. Green beans were not, but that's okay. Okra dissoved in your mouth. Chopped steak was okay. Staff were very friendly.

Our server, Lilia, was great. The workers behind the buffet were rude. The food was not very good. The price at the door for seniors was $10.99 where the price online was $8.99.....rip off. Won't be coming back. Must of changed managers.

The food was good, what you expect from Luby’s. My 2 star review was for the total lack of table service. I was completely ignored from the moment I sat down to the moment I left . Some skinny girl with a terrible demeanor was walking around pretending to be busy and on her phone. Meanwhile one older lady was very busy taking care of people in her section. Then when I was about to leave, there were one group and one man with a child who were immediately greeted and given what they were needed. I don’t know if it was because I was alone or what but I was planning on leaving a tip that was definitely more than the 3 dollars I saw another table of 4 people leave .

Been there often. Quality of food slowly going down. Chicken fried steak was so burned, not edible. Had gotten food to go and live 20 miles away. The mashed potatoes are usually my favorite. They were dried out and you could cut them with a knife. It is just ashamed, will not return and they are the last ones left. I get they may be understaffed but quality cannot be sacrificed.

Food is good, the place needs a total make over. The carpet smells, walls need to be painted, the mens bathroom is falling apart.

Dined in after several years, and we were very disappointed. To begin with, the line was outside the door, so we waited a good while to get through. When it was finally our turn, food servers weren’t very welcoming, if anything, I felt like we were being rushed through. Yes, I get they were busy, but I still wanted to take my time to order, since I hadn’t been there in so long. We never had anyone come check on us for refills or just to check if we needed anything. We had to get up and go ask the cashier for refills. The restaurant was very dirty, and seems like they have just let the place go. Food was good, but overpriced. As we were leaving we discovered we were charged for an extra slice of pie. Luckily, we caught it and they allowed us to choose another one, but were not very apologetic about it. All in all, I will not be returning anytime soon or probably, never again.

Air conditioner is out today. It’s not fair to have the employees working in this hot environment. They didn’t have anyone there working on the a/c or any fans for circulation. The the ceiling is open and a/c vents are dripping water onto the tray rail where trays slide and it’s a large enough gap to where it’s unavoidable. Your tray will get dripped on. Due to the lack of circulation there is an odor near the kitchen/bathroom area in the dining room. The servers are great and the wait staff always friendly. The owners shouldn’t keep this restaurant open in 91 degree steamy heat outside when the a/c is out.

Mixed review for me. I had roast beef and it was pretty good. My wife had the roast turkey and it was awful. Very bland with no taste. We ended up sending it back and getting liver which was just as bad. The sides were just okay. Prices were okay, however not very big portions. I am not a big eater but barely got full. Service was friendly and quick. Place was clean and looked fairly new.

I visited the Corpus Christ location on Saratoga 2/19/24. I picked up 3 plates to go of whole fish and sides at their main serving line thinking the food would be fresh but I was dead wrong. The fish were old, dry, and burnt. The rolls were all burnt as well. I can't understand how anyone would serve this quality of food to anyone including a paying customer. It seems the employees serving the food are either trained to serve customers old food or they don't care and just serve what should be thrown away. With prices of everything as high as they are consumers should expect to get quality fresh food that they are expecting when they pay for it. I only posted pictures of one of the meals.

We live in Sinton and had been wanting to go to Lubys for a while, today we went, and what a disappointment, we ( me and the hubby) got there around 11:30 am, figuring it was the best time-what a disappointment, the only thing hot was the vegetables, my chicken fried chicken was cold, hubby got the liver and added a pork chop to his tray, and it was cold, he asked the waitress if she could take his food and warm it up in the microwave or something, spent over $40, the tea was good. But other than that, totally disappointed

Went on Sunday September 3rd and the line was so long It was out the door. They had 1 cashier and she was slow and rude. My group ate in shifts because the cashier was so slow. Why only one cashier. She charged my friend for an additional full meal instead of telling her she could get another Luana’s plate. She dumped her water out because it had a little lemonade in it. Which was no fault of my friend. Food was ok. We have had better. The liver my mom had was not cook right. It was tough and no taste. My fish (broiled) was gross. The bread was hard. We waited in line to check out so long our food was gross and cold. Our waitress was really good and attentive. Never again!

My mom, sister and I ate here yesterday 5/23/23 and it was good at first and then it hit us, violent food poisoning! You would think for a place as popular as this that wouldn’t happen but it did. I will never eat here again and will let everyone I know know that we got food poisoning here.

My family and I just left the Lubby's on Saratoga. We needed a high chair for our 9 month old and they were all scary dirty. I was treated very rudely by one of the food servers when I simply asked if I could get half of a meal. I ended up getting chicken strips that tasted 3 hours old. Pie tastes like it's been sitting out for days. Our server was very kind but the restaurant was very dirty. Went in the women's restroom just to wash hands and the door going in was so dirty along with paper towels everywhere. My feet were sticking to the floor. Not a pleasant experience at all. We had been eating there every Sunday after church. We will not be going back.

Was there at Luby's on 8/11. Service was not on point, got our food and not once did anybody stop by and ask if our food was ok or if we needed any refills. Had to get up and get our own drinks. Seems like the wait staff were more interested in cleaning tables. I've been a server for more than 30 years and as I can recall waitressing is about taking care of customer and giving satisfactory service. Don't think I'll be going back.

The food was pricey; the pork shop had 0 flavor as well as the mash potatoes. I will not recommend the food here.Furniture old and carpet. I don’t see this restaurant surviving if it continues expensive and tasteless. $15.99 pork-shop a waist of my money.

I won't be eating here anymore. I forgot my iPhone. When my daughter called, the person who answered was very rude and informed us that no one had turned in a phone. When my daughter told her we were on our way, she rudely said, "Good luck finding it and hung up." When we arrived, a waitress helped us look for it. I used my my iwatch to locate it. The cashier had it hidden under a bunch of papers. In my opinion, that's attempted robbery. Never again.

I've always enjoyed eating at Luby's. My parents use to take my family to Luby's in Glendale, Arizona, which was always delicious. I frequently ate at the Luby's in San Antonio when I worked there, because their food was always great. I would really like to eat at Luby's here in my home town of Corpus Christi, but the food is frequently over cooked, almond fish burnt, meat dry. Service is not horrible but not great. The manager seems to just sit and not manage. The servers hang around like vultures nearly begging for tips. I hope they get new management some day and make huge improvements. I miss the nice variety of good food that Luby's is known to provide.

Food was cold. Everything as cold as my soda. How do yall stay in business serving cold food. The only thing that was some what warm was the corn because it was sitting in water. The guy even bought the cheese steak from the back and it was cold. Tables dirty. And they ask you at the register you want cash back for a tip. After paying over 40 bucks for 2 people to eat sloppy cold food. The nerve 😤

Food is great! Customer service needs improvement. It is a servers duty to ask any customer in the togo area “ does anyone needs to order?” And not just walk in, look at me, and not acknowledge me. A older lady just seconds walk in and she pampered her. I had to speak up to be seen.

Ordered a fully cooked turkey , candied yams and seasoned green beans. Raw turkey was given to us with cooked yams they cut up and put in the ToGo container.. canned green beans with 0 seasoning. Paid 208$ for whole order for it all to look like a teenager rushed the order
