We had an amazing experience at Saltwater Grill! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful — every dish we tried was delicious. The presentation was beautiful, and the menu had plenty of great options for everyone. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for families. Highly recommended if you’re in Corpus Christi!

Went here on a very busy Saturday night and had a lovely time. The wait wasn’t that long and the service was fast and friendly. We didn’t feel rushed and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms, and the chocolate mousse. The only negative to note was the hush puppies were more like balls of just cornbread. Will be back! Glad to add this place to a list of “go-to’s”

Pretty great seafood place, had a great time out here! Food: 10/10 The food was cooked to perfection and super hot/fresh! Service: 9/10 The service also was really great, our waitress offered both a great attitude and timely refills! Super nice and friendly as well! Atmosphere: 8.5/10 The atmosphere here reminds me of pretty much any 4 star seafood restaurant, it’s pretty crowded here lately at night. Place could be a tiny bit bigger and cleaner but overall still REALLY nice!

What an amazing little gem! It had a very down home feel with the most amazing service. Our party had steak or salmon. There was a small, plated, winged issue with the baked potato which was handled with humbleness and grace via the manager rather than putting the responsibility on the wait staff, to which I say, Well Done! The food was absolutely excellent.

Had dinner here last Saturday night for the first time. This place did not disappoint. I loved everything on my plate. The stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp was the best I've ever had. The sauce it came with was very tasty. The fried fish was kind of dense. I asked my server what kind it was and she said it was Mahi-Mahi. It was good ! Even with a packed house our server was attentive and pleasant. Definitely want to go back to try something else soon.

We wanted seafood and this place fit the bill. Excellent service and the blackened redfish was awesome. The bacon wrapped, crab stuffed shrimp was very good.

My two friends and I had a pasta Alfredo with shrimp and two orders of fish tacos. All were well pleased. The service was a little slowed paced but we were in no hurry. The prepaired in house potato chip was sub par but the fries were good. There was ample parking on a paved lot with easy access.

Went here to celebrate my sister's birthday. The stuffed mushrooms were really good! I'm not one for oysters but the Oysters Rockafeller wasn't too bad. It was baked with spinach and parmesan. The crab cakes were okay a little, not what I expected seemed like some type of red and green pepper in it which I didn't like. The sauce was good with it. I had the salad which was good and fresh with the housemate dressing I recommend it! I had the Mahi Mahi it was good but lacking on crab on top I think I tasted a small spec on top. The sauce was good. The rice was pretty good. I heard the veggies were excellent so I would go with that next time. My fiancé had the burger he said it was good. He didn't care for the fries as much as the homemade chips so he ate those instead. The brownie was really good and warm with chocolate and ice cream. I really liked the cheesecake with chocolate drizzled on it even better than the brownie. I liked the local draft beer Nueces lager. Get it! The service was good.😄

We were staying in Port A so we drove over to Corpus and saw this place. The homemade chips were good as a freebie on the table. Onion rings were over battered so it was hard to taste the onions. I had the shrimp Alfredo which was awesome. My wife had stuffed flounder which was good. The hush puppies were sweet and amazing. The crab cake was okay. Overall a nice little spot.

A favorite to be added when in the area. The service was quick, the appetizer, was wonderful, crab cakes, and the food was 10/10. The house chips were unlike anything I had before. Gotta try it. Ended with desserts which was perfect. The vibes were cool. Literally was accommodated 30 minutes before closing. Very much appreciated after a long day at the beach. Great atmosphere and great food. Won't be disappointed.

I'm not from the area, so I looked for positive reviews. This place had a 4.5, in comparison Saltgrass steakhouse was only a 4.3. This place has a very nice wait staff and they genuinely want you to enjoy your meal. But the reviews need to be representative of what you get. The atmosphere is quaint, cute but outdated and in need of some capital expenditure. The floors are sticky as you walk to your seat. The food is okay, not great, not terrible, just palatable when you don't want to cook. Personally I will not return, but I can see why the local clientele are consistent.

I visited Saltwater Grill in Corpus Christi yesterday and honestly expected much better quality for the price. My tuna plate with pilaf and vegetables looked and tasted cheap — not fresh at all. For $37 including dessert, it felt way overpriced. The chocolate brownie dessert wasn’t fresh either, and overall, the meal didn’t have any real flavor or presentation. The place gives off more of a casual diner vibe than a premium seafood restaurant. Definitely not worth the price.

I’m just here for business visting and looked up best seafood places and this place popped up and had good ratings, so I decided to try it out. Gumbo and dinner special Redfish was delicious! Service was not great, I decided to sit at the bar since I’m sitting for one, the waitress barely greeted me I was just sitting waiting , finally I said could I see a drink menu one would think she would bring me a drink and food menu. Nope just a drink menu. As I wait again she didn’t bother to ask if I needed a food menu or if I was ordering, so again I asked for a food menu it took her a few minutes to bring one, not sure what took so long, when I see stacks of menus I could have just got them myself. Then I decided to try dessert to take back to the hotel, I ordered a slice of key lime pie to go. Was excited to try it took a bite started ok but once I got more of the crust - it was salty!! They used salt instead of sugar 🤢 what a HUGE waste disappointment! I called the restaurant spoke to the mgr, he offered to drive a replacement dessert but it was already 9p and that spoiled it for me. He proceeded to tell me that this has happened years ago. Taste it first!

Update July 4th We stopped in to try different menu offers. I tried the mahi mahi fish tacos. The fish was very dry and I returned my order. I ordered the grilled tuna. It was okay, but the outer edge has a fishy flavor. The broccoli was very dry and tasted as if it was cooked in the microwave. I was disappointed with my second visit. I hope this was an off night for the cooks. I had high expectations because of my previous visits. I will try again on my next trip to Corpus. We set up the RV at the Naval station campground, and we were hungry for seafood. I looked up Saltwater Grill. It was very close to us. It was a nice location and plenty of parking. We were greeted, and from the get-go, service was great! The menu is simple, and it made ordering easy. The dinner was absolutely perfect and plentiful! I really liked their service. If you need anything you don't have to wait for your sever. Any employee will tend to you. Great team work! This is a great restaurant! I recommend Enjoy! Back in Corpus and round 2 at Saltwater Grill. This time, I had the Stuffed Crab Flounder with buttered lemon caper sauce and mixed vegetables with string green beans, broccoli, squash, zucchini, and sauted onions. Our server Destiny was on point again! She was non-stop service! Something else I found out is that you can bring your own bottle of wine 🍷 with a cork fee of $8. Again, I Recommend! Enjoy!

I've dined at Saltwater Grill for years. They used to be my favorite seafood restaurant but they've really gone downhill. In the past, they consistently had great oysters at a reasonable price. If I recall correctly, they were around $16 per dozen, large, and tasty. Now, they're almost twice the price ($14 for a half dozen) and so tiny that you can't hardly taste them. The manager said that they've gone to farm raised oysters because they're better for the environment. Their gumbo is also loaded with Talapia, another farm raised fish. I go to seafood restaurants to eat seafood. Tilapia is not seafood nor is tiny, overpriced farm raised oysters. I won't be coming back.
