I am a Corpus boy who lives in Italy now, so when visiting my hometown I was looking for some good brisket. This place does meat right! I had the Gordo taco (brisket point on a great tortilla), and a beef rib with a side of green beans and mac and cheese. The brisket and rib was melt in your mouth, and I was surprised to hear that he doesn't add salt and pepper or anything to his brisket, yet it is delicious. You can really taste the mesquite and love that he puts into it. Why Bill Millers (not bad but not authentic like this) has a line around it and this place doesn't is beyond me. Edit- we did talk...you knew my uncle Jay.

Went for Saturday lunch. Not busy. The service was very friendly adn fast. The food was delicious. The potatoe salad and the peach cobbler was excellent.. brisket was juciy and not dry. Mac and cheese was decent. I will most definitely return. Worth a try.

So glad I stopped in here today ! Same great taste as the original location and close to home ! Jerry was a joy at the counter and the BBQ is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!! Will be frequently visiting for bbq from now on.

First time eating here and I'm already a fan of this place in many ways. Staff is extremely polite and very welcoming. The atmosphere of this place is positive and relaxing. Now the important part...the food. The food is absolutely great. I got the three meat plate (brisket/pork ribs/chicken) with pinto beans and coleslaw. All three meats had great flavor and was done perfectly. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already.

The service he is alway the best. From the owner checking and being friendly. The portions are huge for price. The meat is always tender and seasoned well.

Mac’s offers fast ‘n easy nice-tasting Q with extended hours. Fun golf-themed interior with ample seating. Giant menu with numerous sides. Brisket was moist with good bark, but light on seasoning. Sausage had good flavor. Loved being able to have black eyes and vinegar-based cole slaw. Overall very pleasant experience. Unlikely to make any “lists” but easily satisfies Q cravings. Beef ribs always on the menu, but they’d just sold the last one, so maybe next time!

Specifically asked for Marbled beef with sauce on the side. Got dry Lean beef, no sauce. Also order pulled pork with sauce on the side, no sauce. Funny thing, when I was ordering, I asked the gentleman how much the Marbled beef sandwich was and he just ignored me, so I didn't order more sandwiches. On the other hand the young lady that prepared my order and checked me out at the register was very helpful, kind and courteous.

Solid Texas bbq place. Standard Texan bbq fare complemented by creative sandwiches. Very friendly staff.

Really wanted to like this place as I stumbled across them by chance, but at the end of the day, it just wasn't very good. Beef ribs were a but dry and more bone than meat, and the corn didn't taste very well. They have a pretty good size menu, so it may be worth a look for those interested in bbq.

Prior to covid macs was a great place to eat inside or even take home. This is second time I was giving the fat and the burnt ends. On a sliced sandwich. I called the first time and was told they would comp me but it’s been a while and just left it alone. But now even at my business customers don’t call, they just leave reviews as I’m doing here. I love BBQ and I feel like I have been here before and it was good but this time the food was gross. I couldn't even finish my chop brisket sandwich because it tasted like is was so burnt. I couldn't even taste the bbq sauce it was that bad! The green beans were obviously from a can and the mac n' cheese was dry like the meat. I don't like leaving bad reviews but if you own this place I would definitely check and reevaluate who was working today. 2/13 oh it's Friday the 13th 🤣 maybe that's why... it was bare inside, no tvs which wasn't a problem for me but the guys were mad that there wasn't golf on a tv 😆

Although Mac's had great service and atmosphere, the food was not worth the price. A single meat brisket plate was $17.59 with tax with no drink. The brisket was dry and had little flavor, the macaroni and pinto beans were undercooked and were not seasoned well. I am sorry to say the food is not worth the price.
