This was our first time at Panjo’s because we heard a lot of great things. They said it was going to be an hour wait due to them being busy, but we said that is fine. The atmosphere is nostalgic and took me back to good old days. When we got our pizza and wings… OMG! It was honestly worth the wait. They do not skimp out on toppings and everything was fresh. The workers were super sweet and we really appreciated their hard work because they were non stop helping and making those awesome pizzas! Keep up the great work! Will definitely be back ☺️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent! New favorite pizza spot! We kept hearing how good Panjo’s Pizza was after we moved here, and they did not disappoint! The crust and sauce were amazing, the toppings were piled on generously, and everything came out hot, fresh, and absolutely scrumptious. Their menu has so many delicious options, and we can’t wait to go back and try more. I’m not sure why we waited so long to give them a try, but we’re sure glad we finally did. Highly recommend—your taste buds will thank you!
Staff was friendly and service was fairly quick for a Friday at 6 pm. They had some really neat specialty pizzas, like Cajun shrimp. Its a pretty neat spot
Visiting from San Antonio we found this place on google looking for pizza places in the area. This came up as a recommendation. Glad it did. We came a little after lunch time. The employees were very nice and courteous. Our pizza and wings were delicious. The crust and undercarriage had a wonderful crisp to it. The cheese was flavorful, sauce was great, and wings were hot and juicy. This pizza joint has a nice, comfy, old school feel to it. It’s definitely a neat experience that reminds me of pizza parlors back in the day. I recommend this pizza parlor to anyone visiting the area.
While passing through Corpus Christi, we stopped in at Panjo’s Pizza and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. The standout for us was the crust—thin, crispy, and cracker-like, it added a perfect crunch to every bite and really set this place apart from your average pizza joint. The restaurant had a laid-back, retro vibe that made us feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that clearly has a loyal local following, and after tasting the pizza, we understand why. The toppings were generous, the cheese melted just right, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. Panjo’s delivered a memorable meal, and we’d go back in a heartbeat the next time we’re in town. If you’re in the Corpus Christi area and looking for a great pizza experience, this one is well worth a stop. #straycompasslife #roadtripusa #corpuschristitx #pizzalovers #panjospizza #rvtravel #traveltexas #fulltimervlife #rvlifestyle #foodieadventures #rvadventure
This place is amazing my wife and I came from Harlingen Texas to try this place out we heard it was amazing. We ordered pizza and wings and you can tell they make it fresh. It took about 15 mins to get our food and this was the best pizza I have ever eaten and the wings were on point too. We will be coming back here for sure
I love coming here. The food is fresh and hot. The works I believe it’s called is the reason I come here. My husband and kids love the pepperoni with extra cheese and pepperoni. Their cheese bread is good too. There’s wings are pretty big and are good too. We had a family dinner there last night not too packed but the tables are long plenty of room. We all had a great time the employees are very helpful and very friendly. The restrooms are clean and tables.
1 of our favorite pizza/sandwich/burger joint.. the wings are not too bad but the flavor of them are unique. I just prefer my wings cooked a lil extra. We had to eat here before chuckE cheese.. haha. Plenty to do here in Corpus and Portland before school starts. Give Panjo's try... the service is always friendly and welcoming.
Very solid pizza joint. They've been around a long time for a reason. Pizza made from scratch so plan accordingly - it is worth the wait. Outstanding crust with a superb amount of cheese & other toppings. Great, friendly service. Easy parking. The pickle pizza was outstanding! Give it a try.
The staff was fantastic, but the manager Mandy was rude and unhelpful. We had a few non-difficult request because we had a birthday party. We waited 45 minutes for wing appetizers, and approached the manager only to be told it always takes 45 to an hour for them.... why would anyone get appetizers taking that long. There was about 30% occupancy, and it was mostly our party. Would recommend take out only.
First of all I want to say that me and my family love Panjo’s. We have been going since the days of piano sing-alongs and patriotic celebrations. We have moved away but always eat here when we are in town visiting family several times a year. This last Sunday 1/15/26, we came in after a long day to chow down. Before welcoming us in the girl at the register immediately let us know that the place closed at 8pm and that it would be highly unlikely that we would be able to order. The time on the clock was 7:10 at the time. A full 50 minutes to order, eat and be done close to closing time. We proceeded to order and we were told because of the time the larger pizza was not an option. We were a party of 10 so the larger pizza would have been more appropriate. Instead we were forced to order regular large pizza even though that was less cost effective. We ordered salads and soft drinks and made payment much to the displeasure of the cashier. Again she asked if it would be too much trouble to take our pizza to go instead of eating in the restaurant. We declined and took our seats. As we waited for our food I witnessed no fewer than 6 additional parties of various sizes come in and try to eat only to be turned away due to closing time approaching. What is going on? If you are not going to serve just go ahead and close the doors! It’s absurd to continue to turn people away when the sign outside says you are open! I’m I crazy for thinking this way? After 30 or so minutes our pizza was ready and we ate and enjoyed it and laughed about the good times. As the time reached 8pm the staff wanted everyone left in the restaurant that closing time was at hand. So in an effort to move people on, they raised the volume of the music coming from the kitchen to truly unacceptable levels. They also picked the hardest and loudest thrash metal they could find in order to ensure we would run for the door in order to preserve our hearing ability and prevent tympanic membrane rupture! We left a few minutes after 8pm and enjoyed the rest of the night. I say all this because as a frequent restaurant visitor and former restaurant employee I know this behavior is unacceptable. It’s rude and unwelcoming and I really want to know if the owners and management are aware and/or encouraging of this practice. My hope is they do not. As far as the meal, it was wonderful. The pizza was cooked perfectly with loads of fresh toppings and flavor. We love it! And that is what makes the other business of this letter so disappointing. I hope this was a one time fluke and that we will be welcomed in the future.
We ordered thin and crispy and received chicago style. It was also not baked fully. Usually we have no issue with our food. It is great pizza, but once in while things happen. Will return though. Has always been a favorite.
Pathetic…Almost $20 for a dry little 9 inch (yes, nine) pizza that barely has cheese on it and average amount of other toppings. I paid for extra cheese and olives. This is happening way too often at this place and employees show zero concern when brought to their attention, time to find a better pizza place.
Don’t normally do negative reviews, just chalk it up to , ok, not my cup of tea and go on. But, this was a rainy Saturday afternoon, not but a few customers. Our first time there. The girl at the counter was busy talking with a young man, ok fine , just young. But when we finally at the counter, asked about the house specialty?, she had to ask someone. Ok. Then we ordered. Asked for 2 small cups of water, we drink water, she said she will bring them out. Did not. My husband after 15 minutes got up and got them. So we wait. While seeing others who were behind us,, get their orders. Finally husband gets up to inquire? Our order? Oops.. Just as we are going to ask for a refund and , 35 minutes after we ordered, she checks, it is ready. We take our SMALL pizza and leave. ..when I open it, I am laughing!! Thank goodness we had a bag of salad at home. 😉 did I mention 1st and last time? Oh, we eat out a lot!, this one, we will let the regulars continue.
Never again… last time we tried this place was a few years ago. Today, I want to try it again. We order a pizza with bacon and this is how they give it to us. It is burned bacon. Tastes like fried in old oil. None of us like it. We had to hand pick them out of the pizza. I called to the restaurant and the lady said she was sorry and that the bacon is like that… and If I don’t want it like this, (dark) I have to mentioned it when doing the order. I didn’t know this is the way they serve the bacon in the pizza. I’m very disappointed.
Very Bland. No taste. Not crispy on bottom but burnt. I would not recommend the wait time. The no sauce taste. And pricey for what it taste like. Not to mention I seen a person get spaghetti and omgeeee no sauce and looked water down!! Little Caesar’s has more taste than this burnt pizza.
I’m here from out of town and was referred by a friend to come try the best pizza in Texas. Pizza was ok until I flipped it over. Pizza had a weird taste, I couldn’t figure out why, back of pizza was coated with black burned grease 1/5, wings good 4/5, service horrible 1/5 female at the front counter needs a better attitude, needs to smile, and be more friendly, seems like she was trying hurry and get through her shift, I think the pizza makers were too. When I get to my car, I realize there is old pizza grease and crumbs all over my pizza box and wings container. Glad I didn’t set the box down on my new 2024 vehicle. Not very impressed with service. Maybe they need more help. Lots of customers in dining area, who seem to really enjoy Panjos.
