I'm so happy I found Marea. I'm from Portland, so finding good coffee traveling can be a challenge. The coffee is genuinely wonderful. It’s smooth, rich, and consistently delicious. Not to mention homemade almond milk to top it off. The food is just as good. The savory muffins are a standout, the chia pudding and pressed juice are great to grab on the go and don't even get me started on the cookies - I rarely leave without one. Alex, the owner, is wonderful — warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he’s created here. Whether you’re popping in for a cup to go, staying to get some work done, or meeting up with pals, it’s one of those spots that just feels right. My go-to every time I’m in town, and the first place I recommend to anyone visiting.

This place is such a vibe! Amazing coffee, excellent service, and delicious food. What a gem!!! We came to this coffee shop every day. The pressed juices were so delicious, even my two young boys devoured them! The matcha and blueberry chia was my favorite, the cookies were addicting, and my husband loved the banana bread. Coming from LA, the bar is high for excellent coffee and this place lives up to the hype!

By far the best coffee in Punta de Mita. Once we discovered it, it was our go to the rest of our stay here. They open a bit earlier than other coffee shops, which is really practical as an early riser. The dark chocolate chip and sea salt cookies are a real treat with a flat white, especially fresh out of the oven.

We stopped for a late morning coffee here; our Airbnb supplied French press just wasn’t cutting it. Had the flat white made by Alejandro - honestly the best coffee I’ve had in our two weeks in Mexico and rivals the best I’ve had in Vancouver. Smooth, good temperature, very flavourful and the foam texture was spot on. Will be going again tomorrow!

La Marea was absolutely excellent. The avocado toast was phenomenal. Modern, clean space. Alex, the owner, provided fantastic service and is a super great guy. Coffee, best in town! Highly recommended.

WOW! YES! I’ve had coffee all over the world, and I honestly wasn’t expecting to be this impressed. This coffee is something special. Every roast is sourced locally here in Mexico, and you can taste the intention and care behind each cup. The owner has truly studied the craft, and it shows in every detail (if you know good coffee, you will know) If you’re a true coffee lover or even a full-on coffee snob, you will absolutely appreciate this spot. It is Mexico at its best and so worth the visit!!!

Nicely roasted beans from Mexico. Coffee is carefully prepared to highlight the origin flavors. Very welcoming and kind owner. Nice selection of homemade juices/muffins, etc. A great little coffee shop for anywhere, not just here.

The atmosphere is beautiful their natural lighting from the big window the coffee is amazing I do also love their chai hot or cold. The Chia seeds greek yogurt strawberry pudding was a great combo first time having something like it, was very light and also yummy.

Great vibe great coffee not that over roasted bullshit. Highly recommend the vegan energy balls or the delicious chocolate chip cookies. I order also the affogato and my partner ordered the capomo latte.
