This is without question the best spot for quality espresso drinks in Mita. The ‘sandos’ are fresh and top quality - and do get a salted chocolate chip/banana cookie if there’s any left. For the espresso nerds, Alejandro pours a balanced medium roast bean. Cool spot!

For me this is hands down the best cafe in the bay. Alex has a passion for making a great coffee and it shows! He makes a perfect and consistent cortado every time I come in with a nice creamy foam on top. The sandwiches and chia pudding are fantastic also and definitely worth trying. If you're into coffee, this is a great place to come. The beans we had are from veracruz, fitoba is the roaster. a good la marczocco machine. Perfectly balanced cortado with amazing flavors, lightly roasted, probably just before the first crack is over. Coming back every day while I'm here!

We got a dirty chai and an affogato, both of which were really tasty. Very quality coffee. It’s a small cafe with only a bar counter inside and three small tables outside, so i wouldnt recommend coming with a large group. We also tried the croissants which were tasty too. There’s not necessarily food but there is yummy snacks like chia seed pudding and pastries. Id highly recommend this spot!

Me alegra haber encontrado esta cafetería gracias a Google, porque ha sido uno de los mejores espressos que he probado hasta ahora. Mi esposa y yo nos salimos del camino habitual para probarla una mañana, y terminé regresando durante 4 días seguidos. El espresso que tomé era de Veracruz, una de las mejores regiones en mi opinión, y tostado por FITOBA. Se nota que Alex y Theresa aman hablar de café tanto como yo, y no podría recomendar este lugar lo suficiente. No puedo esperar a volver y visitar. ¡Salud!

Incredibly healthy fresh options. Although this café is small and nature, it is incredibly adorable. There are three tables out front and an inside seating area Overlooking the street.. They have delicious Fresh press juices, matcha with chia seeds, avacado toast on the freshest no preservative breads. The coffee is delicious and a great spot to start your day.

I tried many of them, but I kept coming back to Mareà for the great coffee, the friendly conversation with the other patrons and the morning surf reports from Alejandro - the owner and barista. Alex always made me feel welcome and would always chat with me if I saw him in town - or in the surf lineup. Great vibes, great place, great dude. Skip the lineup at El Cafecito and spend the time to walk up to Mareà Cafe instead. You won’t be disappointed.

I'm so happy I found Marea. I'm from Portland, so finding good coffee traveling can be a challenge. The coffee is genuinely wonderful. It’s smooth, rich, and consistently delicious. Not to mention homemade almond milk to top it off. The food is just as good. The savory muffins are a standout, the chia pudding and pressed juice are great to grab on the go and don't even get me started on the cookies - I rarely leave without one. Alex, the owner, is wonderful — warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he’s created here. By far the best coffee in Punta de Mita. Once we discovered it, it was our go to the rest of our stay here. They open a bit earlier than other coffee shops, which is really practical as an early riser. The dark chocolate chip and sea salt cookies are a real treat with a flat white, especially fresh out of the oven.

We stopped for a late morning coffee here; our Airbnb supplied French press just wasn’t cutting it. Had the flat white made by Alejandro - honestly the best coffee I’ve had in our two weeks in Mexico and rivals the best I’ve had in Vancouver. Every roast is sourced locally here in Mexico, and you can taste the intention and care behind each cup. The owner has truly studied the craft, and it shows in every detail (if you know good coffee, you will know) If you’re a true coffee lover or even a full-on coffee snob, you will absolutely appreciate this spot.
