A Must-Stop Lunch Gem in Ovada: 🍕 PIZZERIA LE AIE🍕 If you’re looking for an authentic, high-quality lunch that doesn't break the bank, you have to check out Pizza Le Aie in Ovada. I just had a lunch experience that reminded me why simple is often best. The Star of the Show: ❤️The Pizza 🍕 I ordered the Diavola, and it was spectacular. The dough is clearly the result of a long fermentation—light, airy, and with that perfect "cloud-like" crust. But the real standout was the Mozzarella Fiordilatte. It was incredibly fresh and creamy, providing the perfect cooling balance to the spicy kick of the salami. You can tell they aren't cutting corners on ingredients here. Unbeatable Value: The "business lunch" deal is honestly a steal. For just €10, you get: • Any pizza of your choice • A beverage (the beer went perfectly with the spicy Diavola!) • A coffee to finish it all off The Vibe: The service was simple, genuine, and incredibly welcoming. No fuss, just great hospitality that makes you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where the quality of the food does the talking, and the staff ensures you leave with a smile. Verdict: If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Incredible quality, fresh ingredients, and easily the best 10 Euro you’ll spend this week.
TOP lunch, unbeatable value, lunch menu with a choice of numerous, interesting pizzas, soft drinks, and coffee. Try it ASAP.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly fantastic pizzeria! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can immediately sense the true Italian passion for good food. The pizza is exceptional: perfect dough, high-quality ingredients, and an authentic flavor that captivates you from the first bite. 🍕 The staff is friendly, smiling, and very attentive; you immediately feel at home. Excellent value for money, and the lunch menu is truly a treat. We will definitely be back and recommend this pizzeria to anyone looking for flavor, quality, and a pleasant experience. ❤️🇮🇹Naty🕊🤍🕊
Excellent pizzeria. I had already been there and since I was in the area I deliberately returned. You can choose between pizza with a crust, or scrunchiata which is very thin. I took that because I prefer it. Good pizzas, well garnished, good beer and kind and helpful staff. The place is very nice deliberately inspired by the 60s-70s. The coffee is served in the moka which seems to give an idea of familiarity. Everything is ok, if I happen to be in the area again I will go back more than willingly.
The pizza is really good; in addition to the Neapolitan style with a thick crust, you can also order a thin crust, like the one in the photo, and the gorgonzola, sausage, and onion—a real treat. It's accompanied by a medium red, and to finish, they bring you coffee directly in the moka pot. Young, friendly staff in a unique '80s-style restaurant. Recommended.
For me, this is the best pizza in Ovada ever! Any time I am testing a new flavor, each one is so delicious!
Wonderful place to eat a truly delicious pizza. They have many different types of pizza with unique ingredients, all described in detail. Even though I'm Neapolitan and therefore have only two pizzas (Margherita and Marinara), I can't say that trying one in particular was a great choice. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. I absolutely recommend you go there :) As for the price (about €20 per person), it's absolutely reasonable given the quality of the pizza.
The service was beautiful ! The pizza amazing !!!! Loved it
Le Aie is a fantastic discovery in Ovada. Carefully selected, well-documented ingredients are combined in a series of genuinely original and creative pizzas, amongst the best I have ever had. Along with an informal atmosphere, outdoor tables in summer, fine home-made desserts and friendly service, all in all a memorable experience.
Nice place with friendly staff and excellent Pizza.
Super
I've never seen such quality and variety of gourmet pizzas. I tried the Carbonara🍳🥓, light and faithful to the original, and the Lunigiana, a pizza with lard🥓, fresh and freeze-dried raspberries💞, stracciatella, chocolate🍫, and rosemary. It's simply delicious. I don't usually eat crust, but this time I found it very soft and tasty🧏. The staff was incredibly kind and always available. A once-in-a-lifetime experience!🍅🍕
It retains the name of the place in the historic center where it was located, but is now practically on the roundabout between Corso Martiri and Corso Italia, a more visible area for those passing by. The decor is 1970s-style, with Formica tables and vintage items that are sometimes pleasant, sometimes poorly presented. Kudos to the restaurant manager, who is always very kind, professional, and fast. The menu offers a wide assortment of gourmet and non-gourmet pizzas, with prices in line with the offerings. There are also a few first and second courses, not many but appreciated. Allergen information is always clearly indicated. Three types of dough are offered: authentic: with a Neapolitan-style crust; crumpled: truly super thin and easy to digest; and gluten-free. A €15 menu (excluding Saturday evenings) is available, offering excellent value for money. It includes pizza, a soft drink or small lager beer, dessert (all homemade), and a cover charge. €1 more for a small red beer, €2 more for a medium pale ale, €3 for a red one, €1 more for a Recco-style focaccia, €1 more for a pizza with a scrunchie-style dough, €5 gluten-free. We've always had a great experience, highly recommended.
Pizzeria and more: I ate the best pumpkin soup of my life, accompanied by gorgonzola mousse and crostini. The Fassona tartare topped with truffle slices was fantastic. The deconstructed apple pie confirmed the excellent cuisine hidden in this place with its 1960s-style home decor. Price: First courses between €8 and €14, second courses between €10 and €18.
Pizza au top et de qualité grand choix en plus Bon accueil dans un tarif très correct Attention l’enseigne pas évidente à voir
We booked with The Fork for two on Saturday evening. The welcome was warm, but the wait to order was long. A wide selection of pizzas with a good quality/price ratio. We really enjoyed the dishes (Le Aie pizza and Tuscan roast porchetta with a side of vegetables), as well as the wine we ordered (Cortese del Monferrato). The problem arose after dinner and later in the night when we were hit by thirst and bloating, as if the pizza dough hadn't risen properly. The staff were very friendly, and the food was fresh and very tasty. It's a shame about the after-dinner rush.
The service was poor, but the food was fairly acceptable (despite the undisclosed lack of several ingredients on each pizza). The atmosphere was adequate for the food and service.
