Nordstrom's Espresso Bar

Coffee is average. And service can be improved.

While my significant other was inside Nordstrom browsing, I took Poppy for a short walk around the Village at Corte Madera and went looking for some much-needed caffeine. Just outside the Nordstrom entrance, I noticed the Ebar sign and decided to give it a try. The small coffee bar offers a selection of espresso drinks, teas, pastries, and a few light items like salads and snacks. I ordered a latte, which was prepared quickly and tasted surprisingly good, smooth, hot, and exactly what I needed. There are a few comfortable seats nearby, including some outside where you can relax and watch the steady flow of shoppers passing through the mall. I sat down, enjoyed my coffee, and took a short break while Poppy and I people-watched for a bit. If you happen to be shopping at Nordstrom or walking around the mall and need a reliable caffeine stop, Ebar is a convenient and pleasant place to grab a quick drink.

Incredibly. Slow. One person taking orders, doing dishes, and prep eating food.

Bruh I'm quite disappointed. I've tried ordering from this place a couple times on door dash. The food and the beverages are delicious, but the service is rough. Given I've only dashed it, I get limited interaction with the staff itself, but the service is still reflected thru the order. Today my coworkers and I ordered two hot coffees and a cold tea. Only one coffee and the tea was delivered and no notice about the other coffee being forgotten. Spoke to our dasher and he informed us the store was swamped with orders and only one person working. I feel bad for the single employee having to man the store alone!

I walked in with a smile and a positive attitude, but was immediately met with rudeness and hostility from the barista. Her demeanor was bitter and unkind, creating a noticeably negative atmosphere. It was clear that even the other staff members were uncomfortable with her presence. Exceptional service starts with a welcoming attitude, and this interaction fell far short of that standard. I strongly recommend that management reevaluate this employee’s role, as her behavior is likely driving customers away and negatively impacting team morale. Her: black long hair in a ponytail, with blue jeans.

They need to have better customer service in the afternoon. They are not friendly, feels to me like they don't want to work there. You can feel it in the atmosphere as soon as you step in.
