One day I went the parking lot was full of sport cars!

I want to start off by saying this place was great. I am not from the area, and I wanted to try something different instead of the typical run of the mill franchise coffee houses. Philz, it's definitely not that. Unfortunately, the day that I visited, they were out of cocoa. That was unexpected, but it led me to purchase a cold brew. Instead of my usual mocha. I know cold brew is nothing to write home about, but this one was pretty good. One of my friends had also ordered something with oat milk and honey. It's not really the kind of coffee i'm into, but I would definitely go back for that.

I remember going to the first Philz coffee in San Francisco. Since expanding, the vibe is intact and the coffee is still incredibly delicious and handmade. Each cup a delightful pour over worth waiting for. Make sure to order it Phil's way. If you need to ask what that is then I got your attention.

Philz is the best. With overpriced coffee everywhere now, the artisanship at Philz is very much appreciated. They also have friendly staff which is a rare find in this day and age. Their food is also very tasty and high quality (unlike many of the preservative-laden foods at the really big chains). Love it!

The baristas are always so nice and make sure your coffee is perfect for your taste! It's a little slower than other coffee shops (specially suring rush hours), but the quality it's another level. If you want your order as soon as you get to the store, I recommend trying their mobile app and order from there!

I remember going to the first Philz coffee in San Francisco. Since expanding, the vibe is intact and the coffee is still incredibly delicious and handmade. The Bay Area's most flavorful cup of coffee. The service may take a few minutes but the quality of taste is worth the wait. Baristas are engaged and thoughtful. This location has quite a bit of space inside and out though folks tend to linger longer than their drinks (like any cafe with outlets and free WiFi).

A nice place to hang up but I can’t understand that this coffee shop doesn’t serve espresso. If you are a real coffee lover thou shall not go here.

I feel awful for the employees at this location. It was peak hours and the staffing was a mess. One barista on a Saturday during a holiday weekend. They handled it well, but management should never put someone in that position.

May 2025: Stopped by for afternoon coffee and ordered a small ambrosia with light cream. I'm a long time customer and usually go to the stores in San Francisco. I am very familiar with the blends. Wasn't happy with my coffee. Tasted burnt for some reason. Ambrosia is usually one of my go-to light roasts and something was off with my coffee. I also waited 18 minutes for my coffee. Not sure if the order got lost but I noticed other people who came after me get their drink before I did. When I checked on my order, they said they were backed up. Atmosphere of the place is a positive. Good location and very chill place to hang. Hoping this Philz will do better next time.

Please remove the sign above the barista station that says “Mobile Pick up” if mobile orders are going to be placed on a shelf next to the sitting area. I was sitting for a long time waiting for an order that was sitting on a shelf when no one called my name to let me know it was even ready.

The lady making the drinks was very nice and accommodating. The white male wearing a Budweiser T-Shirt, camaflouge pants and red & white tennis shoes was extremely unprofessional and rude. Can't believe Philz coffee shop would hire this guy.

This coffee shop not only got my order completely wrong, twice, but they had the audacity to tell me I didn’t order it correctly. Pastries are really good though.

I walked in two hours before closing and wasn’t acknowledged until after 5 minutes of waiting at the counter. They were very dismissive when taking my order. After I finally got my food. I proceeded to wait for 25 minutes for my coffee and ended up waking out empty handed. I came in during my lunch break during work, exhausted only to be treated rudely and it wasn’t even worth it as I didn’t get the coffee I payed for. I watched plenty of people that ordered AFTER ME in line get their coffee and walk out while I sat there and not wanting to be treated badly again, patiently, quietly waited for my coffee. If you have any where to be within 30 minutes of ordering, I wouldn’t even bother. You might be forced to leave without any coffee or even being acknowledged.

I’m a longtime Philz fan and usually order on the app. I stopped in on a morning that was not busy in the store. I waited 20 mins for one drink - the mint mojito and the couple that ordered 5mins after me (same Drink) got theirs first. They need some major operational assistance. no one has time for this

After five more minutes, asking barista directly, what is estimated time for order xxx? Response: Uber or doordash? Doordash. Response: "We are making in store orders first". Maybe you need to make orders just on time?..
