We were in town this past weekend and after living in Northern California the last 27 years are moving back to HB. We found this place through some people we knew. WOW the entire experience was what I have been looking for with amazing BBQ. The owner was so Incredible and thank you again for bringing me out that Jalapeño Cornbread! When we move back next spring this place will be our once a week spot.

Food was delicious! Fall off the bone ribs, melt in your mouth pulled pork. Highly recommend the Red Neck Mac&Cheese! And don't forget the banana pudding. ENJOY we sure did 😃

Nice and cozy place to have lunch. We ordered bbq meat sampler and it was big enough for two and a leftover (despite it does look small at the picture). We enjoyed every bite - the meat was smoky and fresh. Nice lady server and reasonable prices. I would come back.

The brisket is delicious melt in your mouth! We both got the BBQ plate combos and it’s so cool it comes with three total sides! I’d definitely come back just for this brisket. So tasty and juicy and soft. The sauces weren’t hot and we thought they were tasty 😍 I liked the jalapeño cornbread over the blueberry. The blueberry didn’t have much taste and was sweet. I like jalapeño bc it wasn’t hot and I could taste the cornbread more. Mac n cheese was yummy but not enough to write home about. Green beans were a bit crunchy but the server told us ahead of time so we expected it. Midday Monday lunch and it wasn’t crowded. Staff super friendly. There’s a small parking lot.

Delicious bbq spot in a great hidden location. Ample parking in front and back. It was our first time and we tried as many meats as we could and every single one was delicious!!! The fries are 💣. Service was great…the guy behind the counter explained the menu to us before ordering. Can’t wait to come back.

The food was delicious! It was our first time, and the cashier gave us an explanation of the menu and recommendations! I forgot to take a picture before digging in, but the brisket and pulled pork were delicious! Really loved the blueberry cornbread, too!

If you're in the mood for an incredible experience then you should check out Beach Pit BBQ. There's a reason it's been called the best bbq in all of Orange County, because it is. From the attentive and courtesy wait staff to the wide variety of selection of food, you will definitely find something on the menu for everyone. The atmosphere is cozy and fun, will work for all gatherings whether it's for family outing, girls night out or meeting just for drinks. There ample and safe parking easily within walking distance or across the street. Don't let a full parking lot immediately in front deter you from this bbq experience. You wi get served promptly too. I'd recommend the burnt ends as an appetizer, multiple meat plate, blueberry cornbread, and try out the dessert (key lime pie).

Atmosphere was so nice and relaxing. The food was so damn delicious and achieved the appetite of 5 different people who were all craving barbecue 😋 All the meat was just falling off the bone and took maybe an extra stab of the fork to get all the delicious meat! Staff was so kind and friendly in helping make sure we felt taking care of and were happy with everything 😊 Truly a fantastic experience at an unexpected hole in the wall, really don't miss that turn into their parking lot!!!

First Visit—easy to miss this hidden place—almost drove by as it’s set back off the street. Cute Patio. Helpful, friendly service. Appreciated Christian so much and his upbeat, positive, attentive care. Counter Order—they bring to your table. I ordered the Two Meat Plate (Pork, Brisket) with Two sides (Cole Slaw, Collards). The Collards were very tasty and not string vinegary! Cole Slaw has a nice vinegar based dressing and the Ranch dressing is yummy. Meats were decent—added the bbq sauce and that was good. They gave me some lettuce mix with tomatoes (as requested) in place of their corn bread since I’m on Keto right now. Sat on the patio—was a bit cool and Christian offered to bring a heater (without any prompting)! There were quite a few Take Out Orders being picked up while I was there—3:45-5:45 I’d recommend at least one visit!

Great food! The “redneck fries” were my favorite. Rated a 3 stars because the service wasn’t very good. They messed up our order twice and then told us if we wanted our original order we had to pay the $9 difference. I feel like normally at restaurants they would’ve comped it when it was their fault. So overall not pleased with the customer service but the food was good!

Very underwhelming experience in comparison to many other BBQ spots. Ordered a Combo 2 to try the Ribs, Brisket, and Sausage and all three barely had any flavor. The meats all lacked the smokiness that gives BBQ that added oomph. Even the blueberry cornbread lacked a spark. The food was edible and meat tender but for the price you will get better BBQ driving a little further to the likes of Heritage or Bad To The Bone

Everything was dry. They gave you sauce to put on once it's brought to the table. The coleslaw is made with a vinegrette, and the bbq beans tasted more like chili beans, no bbq to them! I was expecting a hint of bbq flavor to them, but nope. I got a tray with a little bit of everything, ribs, brisket, turkey, and chicken and sausage. Like i said, everything was dry, not juicy at all! I'm really disappointed. I expected more since it's in newport beach, your better off grilling at home than coming to this restaurant. The atmosphere had pig statues, and outdoor sitting not very big inside maybe 4 to 6 tables from when i walked in. Didn't offer too much beef, mainly pork!
