SO SO happy this place is open!! The quality of the fish is amazing, better than any meal prep option. Everyone greets you as soon as you walk in, Jose was top tier for his polite and kind service. Can’t go wrong with the Swai fish w/sweet chili glaze.

Went on Saturday the 20th and I don’t regret it. I was a bit skeptical at first but I decided to go and it was a really good experience Jose’s service was amazing he was really patient, very friendly and recommended me the dynamite shrimp bowl and it was great.

I dined in here last week and absolutely loved it! I was helped at the kiosk registers by servers Brianna and Carolina who were so kind and made the process so much easier. I got the shrimp skewers dinner with the rice and brussel sprouts it was absolutely phenomenal! Server Eddie brought it out hot to me and I love how they ask if I need anything else and are always checking on me. I will certainly be back, with friends!

My family and I have come to California fish grill quite a few times now this was our first visit to Costa Mesa. Best service and cleanest location ever. But the service was what stood out the most to us. SONIA was so kind and helpful our whole visit, she’s amazing. We’ll be back when we come back to the beach!! Oh! And the food was amazing.

We come here often but tonight was really special since we met the lovely server Sonia. She’s amiable, accommodating and gave us a genuine smile with most enthusiasm. We will surely come back here and refer our friends to this location. Thanks again Sonia for your service.

I love that my children aren’t picky about seafood and when I’m running out of time CFG is my go-to! We LOVE it there!!! I rather go there for seafood because I get more bang for my buck🙌🏼 I’ve tried other places and I regret it soon after! No one makes a crispy fish sandwich like CFG. My kids love it there they say Carolina is so nice, my daughter remembers when she couldn’t reach the soap in the bathroom she helped her pump some onto her hand. That impressed her ☺️. Carolina is always aware and makes me feel valued unlike all the others that talk through an order/transaction without eye contact and a warm smile. My kids were going to walk up to a random employee to ask where is Carolina one day but course I said no because they needed to start on their meals! She’s great 🙌🏼 MAKE SOME CEVICHE! And THANK YOU FOR BEING SUSTAINABLE AS POSSIBLE!!!

I cannot wait to get back there. When we pick up someone from the Santa Ana Airport I always volunteer to go along just to be able to visit this restaurant. We're from Temecula. The food is outstanding, service was friendly and efficient. I wish the location we went to had a bigger, more secluded eating space, but that would never stop me from going there.

Oh my god, this is one of the best restaurants I've eaten. I hope you don't get messy like everyone else over time. Update the review. Even after 5 months, I give this restaurant 5 stars! Exceptional experience! The service is casual but the host Jose is very friendly and attentive, went above and beyond to make sure our first visit was a great one. Very happy with the portions, the quality of everything was excellent. The veggies were all delicious. You HAVE to try the corn salsa, it tasted like ceviche but with no fish. We will definitely be back soon.

My husband and I live in the neighborhood and decided to walk over to California Fish Grill and try it for the first time. I am happy to report it was an absolutely delicious meal and the Customer Service was through the roof! Jose took great care of us, and made us feel very welcome. the quality of the seafood is top-notch! The type of quality you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. All of the staff seems genuinely happy and excited to be there to serve you. Which is something that I think has become lost in recent years in the food service industry. We plan to come back as often as we can! Thank you again, California Fish Grill for a great dinner, and a great evening!

Has a fast food vibe with electronic menu ordering. Staff was very helpful. They serve the food and clear the tables. Food came out quickly. Fish was very good.

Awful service. We were with a child who requires a high chair. All lower tables where high chairs fit located inside were occupied, but they have some more tables on the terrace. Personnel didn’t want to turn on the heaters on the terrace (it’s December!), so we left with nothing.
