Opinions de Seasons 52 Costa Mesa
I had a really nice experience at Seasons 52. The service was excellent and really stood out during our visit. Our waitress was very friendly and talkative in a great way, which made the meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. At one point we spilled an entire water glass on the table and she was quick to help clean it up and replace our cutlery. The food was also very good. The flatbreads were a highlight and we ended up ordering all of them to share with the table. They were all delicious. I ordered the chicken soup and the gnocchi from the Winterlicious menu on the final day it was offered, so the menu may have changed since then. Our table also tried the steak and lobster, which was very tasty, and we finished with the pecan cheesecake for dessert. Overall we had a great time. The menu is large with plenty of options, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are perfect for sharing. I would definitely return.
Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambiance: 5* Food Enjoyed happy hour (HH) here before watching the Wiz at Segerstrom Hall. The HH food was largely flatbreads. We ordered their chicken pesto flatbread, Chipotle BBQ shrimp, and the Philly cheesesteak flatbread. The chicken pesto was good, tasty, and well seasoned. Our favorite. The shrimp flatbread was ample, tasty, and well seasoned. Our second favorite of the three. The Philly cheesesteak was not. It was dry, flavorless and needed oil or truffle oil to make it work. We had the Cabernet Sauvignon ‘sip’ and Chardonnay ‘sip’. The cab was great, fruity and tasty. The Chard was lackluster, no butter, no depth. But the portion of ‘sip’ was great. Very generous and worth the $7 each. Service Excellent at the bar. Very helpful, friendly, and attentive. T.J. Was particularly helpful never let our glasses get empty and very helpful about service and recommendations. The front desk ladies were less so. Dismissive when they knew we wanted to have Happy Hour. Like we weren’t worth their time to help. Ambiance The setting is very pleasing. Cozy, upscale, and comfortable.
Chose this location because it was very close to the Segerstrom center for the arts to see BladeRunner accompanied by Avex Ensemble live orchestra. Made reservations on Open table for Seasons 52 through Google maps. The process was quick and easy for an early dinner, which most reviewers on google maps suggest having a reservation for dinner. We arrived early and walked the South Coast Plaza mall to pass a little time as the restaurant is located at one of the entrance doors to the mall. Returned at our scheduled time of 430 pm and there were no crowds at the time. The bar was packed due to happy hour. NOTE - a compliment to the Receptionist who was friendly and professional as she had answered all my questions when I had first checked. The restaurant became quite busy during our meal service...so I would definitely recommend having a dinner reservation. Our server was very polite and professional. Meal service was quick and handled nicely. Food presentation by the kitchen was nice...but my photos don't reflect that so well, see my attached sloppy photos. Food was cooked to order and came out in the wellness level we had asked for...no over or under cooked items and everything was seasoned well...meal was very delicious. ***If you are to have dinner before a show at Segerstrom...the portions here were perfect so you aren't overloaded and the price was very reasonable. Even the dessert portions, which look small, are just right to cover that sweet tooth ending to a wonderful meal. The wife had the steak who said it was done perfectly...my son had the salmon and he complimented the fish was done right with the vegetables and I had the scallops which nicely complimented on the bed of risotto. We also had a side of their Mac N cheese, and it was very good, but it was almost too much food to have before ordering dessert. A note on parking...the mall has plenty of parking and the drive over to the parking structures for the theater is very short...almost short enough to consider dropping off your vehicle at the prepaid lot and walking to and from the restaurant. Just something to consider. I definitely recommend this place and will hopefully be back for another show and great meal. Job well done Seasons 52.
This place is amazing. Took one of my top customers here and they were very impressed with the food & service. We had Filet Mignon, Scallops & Chilean Sea Bass meals. All were outstanding. The Cauliflower Augratin Appetizer was to die for. I highly recommend this great restaurant if you want to impress! You can Thank me later! 😋
We celebrated our anniversary at the Seasons 52 in Costa Mesa on Saturday, 2/10, and it was truly an unforgettable evening from start to finish. We began in the bar area, where every bartender was fantastic, especially Rocky, who was engaging, friendly, and set the tone for an amazing night. Service throughout the restaurant was exceptional. Our dining room experience was nothing short of five-star. A huge thank-you to our server, Danielle, and the staff for the thoughtful anniversary touches, including a “Happy Anniversary” sign and card waiting at our table. Those extra details were fun, unexpected, and really spoke to the level of care and attention this team provides. A special shout-out to Rhiannon, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond in every way. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Her attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel incredibly special. She is an absolute gem, and I hope we see her every time we visit. Her wine recommendations were perfect, and her thoughtfulness made the night even more memorable. Because of the outstanding service from the entire team, we’ve decided to make Seasons 52 our anniversary tradition going forward. We’ll absolutely be back soon, and can’t wait!
Fantastic night at the bar tonight! Rocky served us, but the entire staff was great, especially with the holiday shopping season in full swing plus The Nutcracker going on across the street. To management, kudos to the dark-haired female bartender that was working the well during the dinner hour. She was non-stop busy and still found time to check on us and other bar patrons. This was our first time here, but will definitely not be our last! Highly recommend giving Seasons 52 a try!
Needed a quick turnaround on the way to a Segerstrom Center show, so we ate at the bar. No wait and relatively quick service. Had the Philly Cheesesteak appetizer which comes free with the Segerstrom Card. Enjoyed the Pork chop with a Marinated cabbage of some sort, that paired very well with the chop. It had a sweet tangy taste, so I was pleasantly pleased. Enjoyed a glass of wine with the entree. Tried the Chocolate peanut butter dessert cup which was more peanut butter than chocolate and was a light texture. Bar tender/ waiter (TJ) was very friendly and helpful. Bar area was not loud, so you can have a conversation. The Sunday Night Football game was on and was quite entertaining as well.
First off a mail the bartender was so helpful with selections super friendly have the best personality and smile. Secondly, the food is so fresh amazing and very decent price. We love the Cedar Pike, salmon and their flatbread is to die for very fresh low fat items. Also love their jalapeño margaritas. She is definitely a mixologist sat in the bar area in a booth highly recommend.
I drove through a 20 min traffic jam to try it out. (I was in the area on a business trip, and didn't want fast food, so I looked up area restaurants and Seasons 52 popped up.) My back decided to start giving me trouble a few hours ago and so I was a bit uncomfortable, so I really endured a lot to resist just holing up in my hotel room to give this place a try. I enjoyed the Chicken Mozzarella flatbread to start with. (I asked if they could add some tomato in it.) I ordered the pork chop on a bed of red cabbage and golden raisins as the main course. I wrapped up with the mini vegetarian peanut butter parfait. (It was part of their dessert presentation called mini-indulgences.) I was very impressed with the service. (TJ, my server, was outstanding...the perfect waiter and gentleman! He was warm, attentive, and very on top of his game, keeping everything coming at the right pace, and topping off everything without being interfering at all. The best waiter I've had in a very, very long time!) The atmosphere, and quality of the food were all great. Additionally, the calorie count for these dishes is amazingly low. However, the taste is excellent!! I honestly usually don't care for "low calorie" fare when I dine out. I highly recommend Seasons 52! It truly was worth the 20 min wait in traffic and I'm really glad I gave it a try!
We went there for lunch celebrating a birthday. This is the only place that actually paid attention to my optional comments about the occasion and wrote a birthday card and sign ahead of time and set up a table. Great service, good portion, must-try flatbread, and the seafood was cooked tender. Complementary dessert for the birthday boy
An absolutely unforgettable dining experience from start to finish! The lump crab & shrimp stuffed mushrooms arrived bubbling in a cast-iron skillet, fresh from the brick oven — rich, indulgent & bursting with flavor. Then came the Salmon —Roasted to perfection in a brick oven, it’s buttery, flaky, and infused with a subtle smokiness, nestled atop creamy mascarpone risotto & tender roasted asparagus. The bright lemon-fennel relish elevated every bite to fine-dining perfection. The wood-grilled dry-rubbed pork chop was a showstopper — beautifully seared, kissed with a grilled lemon-honey glaze that brought out the smoky sweetness of the meat. Paired with braised German red cabbage & golden raisins, it was the kind of dish that makes you stop mid-bite just to savor the harmony of flavors. What truly stood out beyond the food was the service. When a small issue came up, Sous Chef Javier personally came out to address it — turning what could’ve been a hiccup into a memorable moment of hospitality. Manager Martin also stopped by to check on us, making sure everything was just right. Their attention to detail & care made the evening exceptional. This place doesn't just serve amazing food — it delivers an experience. It's an absolute must-visit!
My husband and I went there tonight to celebrate our birthdays and Wedding anniversary. Everything was amazing, from the start the service was great. Our servers name was Nicholas, he was great. Super social and on top of our needs. He had great recommendations. The food was to die for, we got the meatballs, avocado toast, the filet and another filet with a lobster tail. It all melted in our mouths. I definitely recommend this restaurant. We had one near our home in Sacramento but it got closed down so since we were visiting Disneyland we decided to stop by this location!
My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Seasons 52 back in 2023. It was such a pleasant experience. First, the atmosphere was very nice, the lights are dimmed and it's quiet inside. The food was amazing, and the service was perfect. The waiter asked what we were celebrating and gave us a complimentary dessert and champagne!
We were expecting a really busy Mother’s Day service, and while it was very busy, we only waited 10 minutes after checking in for our reservation to be seated. Very smooth service and great food! We had the pork chop, seared scallops, and lamb. All of these were really good and for what you get it’s a great value. The chicken pesto flatbread as a starter was surprisingly very tasty. Highly recommend getting a reservation to dine in.
Seasons 52 is one of my favorite spots for contemporary American cuisine. What sets this restaurant apart is its seasonal menu, ensuring that every dish is made with the freshest ingredients and tailored to the time of year. Their commitment to quality truly comes through in every bite. I highly recommend their soups—each one is unique, bursting with flavor, and the perfect way to start your meal. Their red wine-based cocktails are also worth mentioning, as they pair wonderfully with the dishes and add a refined touch to the dining experience. For the entrée, the Wood-Grilled Dry-Rubbed Pork Chop is a must-try. Expertly cooked with a smoky, savory rub, it’s one of their standout dishes and a true testament to their culinary craftsmanship. The seasonal vegetables and sides complement the dish beautifully, adding vibrant flavors and textures. Seasons 52 combines exceptional food, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and a dynamic menu that keeps every visit exciting. Whether it’s a special occasion or a casual dinner, this restaurant delivers an experience that’s both fresh and memorable.
We celebrated my husband’s 61st birthday in an intimate setting, 10 of us. Joni, our server, did a fabulous job putting up with our joy and making her laugh. She was professional, super friendly and very attentive to our culinary needs. Our food was delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. The various appetizers we ordered were perfect and delicious. Our drinks were spot on! At no time did we feel pressured to hurry rather enjoy it all. Great job!
Hamilton was our server and he provided a world class experience! He was super friendly and attentive. I loved the Happy Birthday sign on the table for my niece and each employee that passed by wished her a happy birthday. The food and wine were both fantastic! The desserts were so decadent and exceeded expectations indeed. Can’t wait to try more!
Recently attended a private work event at Seasons 52 in South Coast Plaza, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is nothing short of amazing, creating the perfect setting for our gathering. The designated space for our group worked out Great, offering both privacy and a sophisticated ambiance. The menus were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. The roasted tomato flatbread was an absolute standout appetizer at our table. For my entree, I chose the Cedar plank roasted salmon, and it exceeded expectations. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, it was delicious. And let's talk desserts—absolutely incredible! Choosing from the dessert menu was a fun challenge, as everything looked so tempting. Our team had an overall fantastic time, and the experience has left us eagerly anticipating a return visit. Looking forward to dropping by soon, even if just for a drink. Seasons 52, you've won our hearts and taste buds! 🌟🍽️🍷

This restaurant makes it a great dinner spot for a pre- Segerstrom Performances, it’s right across the road and it’s easy to park and cross to the performance center through the pedestrian bridge. We ordered a variety of different appetizers, which were lovely (I would give it 4 out of 5) for taste. The service was very nice overall as well, the only minus was our lady forgot to take out the “free flat bread” coupon we provided at the beginning. And we did not insist to correct it after she came back with our receipts since we split the bill among friends, but still it would have been nice. So giving it a 4!
Been there 1st time in Thanksgiving holiday, it's crowded restaurant. Parking is plenty & has vallet service, too. The food is very good, but service is just standard level, it took 30min to get food serve to your table! You may try it on normal day, it would be better!
Solid 4 stars restaurant. We had a company dinner here in their private dining area for 40 people.
Really enjoyed my visit to Season 52! The food was fresh and seasonal, and the vibe was relaxed but still nice enough for a special night out. Service was good too, Michael recommended the pork chop which I rarely get, but as he said it was an explosion of flavors, very moist with a perfect cook to it! A must try!!

Below average restaurant, only popular because of location. The food is pretentious. No flavor, greasy and smell of lard everywhere. Vegetarian and Vegans Beware. Food is cooked in animal fat. Taste ridiculous and definitely not healthy. Gnocchi was disgusting. Flatbread was okaish. Not recommended
