I like to go here and sit at the bar and order steaks and beer. Food is great, especially considering where this place is. Maybe a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion since there isn't anything like it for 50 miles in any direction. The bar is huge, there is a stage, pool tables. Dart boards, one of those punching bag games. Very spacious outside area. The bathrooms even have showers. Lol Usually slow on week nights, but a comfortable vibe, and busy on weekends.

Absolutely LOVED the salmon! Incredibly delicious 😋 breaks my heart they’re closed weekends, I was in town for work & this is the only place I wanted to eat during my time here. I will definitely go back any time😁great service & their salad bar looks fresh & clean!

I believe the steak I had was called the La Salle county steak.. It was very good! solid flavor in every bite. I had cold slaw and loaded baked potato wich was also great! . I ordered medium rare.. I'll order that again but try medium.. highly recommend!

1st time and it didn't disappoint. I had the rib eye(no A1 needed) it was delicious, the onion rings are awesome as well. Price is a little high on the T-bone and ribeye but I don't mind paying a few extra dollars for a good steak away from home in a oilfield town.

Waited at the Horseshoe bar next door while I waited for some people to show up. atmosphere was great, bartender was very attentive. It was a Saturday night and very busy, but the service was amazing. Drinks stayed full and food was fast. They have a great selection at the salad bar. I had the Oilfield Trash Fries to start which were SO GOOD. Definitely recommend. I got the ribeye steak and I wish I had a picture because it looked great and tasted even better. Cooked to perfection. The bathrooms very very clean. This place is my go to for business lunches and dinners. Very impressed.

Me and my girlfriend went for our 5 month and we were greeted as soon as we walked in, the food was great, and they even offered a free desert. Would recommend. Try the macaroni if you get a chance it was one of the best I’ve had.

Steak cooked to perfection with great flavor, as was tbe grilled porkcops. The 1st basket of biscuits we were served were dark & hard (overdone but not burnt). Asked for better biscuits and the server brought us perfect mouth watering biscuits. The sweet carrots were too sweet so I did not finish them but the real mashed potatoes with lumps and white peppered gravy was delicious as was the fried okra and french fries. The tea was refreshing as well. Two of us dined for around $50

The food was delicious and the service was quick! Can’t recommend this place enough. We had fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, Cornbread, biscuits, jalapeño poppers, chicken fried chicken, Mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes and it all hit the spot! Kids had steaks and they absolutely loved it. Great spot to go to when you’re craving some good old comfort food.

I don't ever write reviews but I just couldn't help it this time. My first time here the steak was ok but everything else was great. My 2nd time here I ordered a chicken fried steak and they ended up giving me a chicken fried chicken instead. I was really tired and didn't think it was that big of a deal so I just kept it. Let me tell you, this was AMAZING. I've had chicken fried chicken before from like cotton patch and craker barrel but it was nothing compared to this one. Plus everything else was great with it. Highly recommend trying it, and staff was really nice. Definitely coming back here again.

Unexpectedly excellent. I really did not think I’d find food this good, a place this cool, or people this friendly in Cotulla. Great food. And cold beer. Served by nice friendly folks. The music on the bar side was perfect. No idea why, but Dos Equis even tasted better here. Looking forward to going again.

I go into this steakhouse when I come into town. Tonight I had a fantastic expieriance with the food and the waitress. Ms. Krystal A., waited on me and her service was outstanding. Our server was Tiffany V she was very personable and helpful. She took care of our needs and checked on us at regular intervals but not so much to be a bother. Our meals were good and our ticket was reasonable. Worth the stop!

Even with a mix up in reservations for party room (hey, life happens) the managers went out of the way to accommodate us. So friendly and courteous! They let us come early to decorate, the waitresses were awesome, and the food was delicious! When a business has such great customer service, it gets an A+ from me! Highly, highly recommend!

This steak house has been on my route for many years. Somehow I have missed this great place to eat aswell. I have been here a few times now. I had my first diablo here and my first SALMON steak. The salad bar is fully stocked and service is excellent.

I was asked to order 16 pork chop plates “to-go” for a crew out on an oil rig thos past Friday. The order was ready for pick up within half an hour. Tiffany was very polite and helpful on the phone. Probably the best chicken fried steak I have had in years. Cream gravy was just short of being as good as Mom makes. Real potato French fries. Server "J", was exceptional at welcoming me in and I his service. This was my first visit, but will make it a regular stop when I'm in the area. Cuddos to the cook as well.

Just wanted to give credit to all the cooks that made these meals for my company. It was a Togo order. An employee named Ryan took my whole order. I got there and he had everything bagged with names of the each meal that was in the bag. Condiments and plasticware was also added. He had 2 female servers help him and myself out to carry these orders. They were nice enough to help us as well. So thank you to these ladies as well. Wasn’t able to get there names. Nothing was missing. Steaks at perfect temperature. Very good size portions as well. Thank you La Salle steak house owners for making this possible for My Team. We will definitely be back.

Went and tried this place while in town for work. Even though it’s a steak house I tried the pork chops. They tasted more baked than grilled but they were very good. If you are a cream cheese in your mac and cheese kind of person then this mac and cheese is for you. It was different than I’m use to but it was again pretty tasty. What I really liked were those biscuits… mannnn o man not a huge biscuit fan but they were perfect. I also tried the peach cobbler and it was okay. Overall I rate this place an 8/10 would recommend.

Ate here for the first time wile in Cotulla, Tx for work. Great experience!! Our waitress Mina(hope I spelled it right) was amazing and took great care of us. She made sure we were good through the entire meal and answered any questions we had. She was super friendly. If she is working when you go here ask for her. You won't regret it. Now for the food.....my entire group ordered appetizers.They were all very tasty and came relatively quick ( about 7-8 minutes) since the place was very busy on a Friday night. I highly recommend the fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and the Diablo poppers. We all ordered steaks as our main. It Comes with 2 side. I had onion rings and a vegetable mix that was so yummy. We all ordered Medium rare and the steaks were cooked perfectly and very well season. I hardly ever eat a whole steak but I just couldn't stop myself..lol. The prices are reasonable and steaks are market price. I highly recommend this place. If you are in the area.

Solid flavorful steak, perfect baked potatoes, perfectly steamed broccoli, love their breaded fried shrimp and homemade Mac and cheese. There is always biscuit and cornbread served with your meal. They have a small salad bar, and a large party bar in an adjacent room! It is a busy, lively place with excellent waitstaff!

Great place to eat in a small town. Service is great depending on who has your table. The food does not disappoint. Their steakhouse burger is more than enough for 2 people or 1 hungry person. Highly recommend it with bacon.

06Apr2021 Tried one evening for supper. Went to the bar side since we were told the restaurant side menu was available. Big place and pretty clean. Chicken fried steak had a crunchy batter and tender beef. Green beans had a nice snap and seemed fresh rather than canned. Mashed potatoes were good with the brown gravy. The cream gravy was not bad. Shiner bock was cold. All in all a decent place, a bit on the high side but it’s a bit of a captured audience down in this area. Not a lot of options. A solid 4 stars off this experience. I was told they do still enforce masks on the restaurant side to/from table during lunch. Always thought the premise of that was frivolous but it’s their business.

Great pour on the mixed drinks. Salad bar was fresh and delicious, but was a little difficult to maneuver around. Food was tasty and appropriately priced. I do feel the service was a little slow being they weren't that busy and it was on a week night. I would stop and eat again if I am in the area.

Food had an excellent taste and generously proportion servings. The interior decor was plain but neat. The waitress was attentive in taking our food orders then delivering the meals but lacked in keeping our drinks refilled. Overall the taste of the food made our dining experience worthwhile and will visit again.

My steak was cooked perfectly at medium-well 😋 but omg there grilled shrimp was seasoned perfectly with lemon pepper and butter 🤤🤤😋 If ever in the area again will definitely stop back by to try something else on the menu😁

Fair, bread they give you is amazing. Food is ok,but service was horrible. We had to keep asking for our waitress, and she never once asked if we wanted refill. The place is very nice, and we may have had that one off day and got the not so great xooks and servers🤷‍♀️

Never been here before, what do you really want, we are in the middle of no where. I ordered the ribeye steak, now it was 30.99 that is a bit over priced, but it was good. Now my buddy ordered the chicken fried steak 14.99. It was ok, not exactly what I would expect from a steak house. Don't get me wrong was not bad but for 14.99 should have been outstanding. Now the ribeye steak was good not 30.99 good but good. I would not discourage anybody from eating there. But I would not recommend it. The green beans have been in a hot pan for awhile and there was dried one on top of the good ones, should have never been served that way. So I am letting you know your experience here will not be perfect and hopefully not disappointing.

Service is lackluster at best. Wings were decent. Best onion rings I’ve had in a long time and the blackened chicken sandwich is DELICIOUS. 3* for food and decent drinks. Could use an updated bar menu with more popular beers. There is a very high pitched noise in the bar coming through the speakers. The crowd is on the older side so doubt they can even hear it but it was annoying me the entire experience!

I was originally wanting Chinese but there are no Chinese food restaurants in this town, which in hindsight would explain why the vast population is probably higher than the human population... Anyways, I reluctantly ordered the Salmon which turned out to be surprisingly good... My boss ordered a chicken salad of some sort (he working on his figure)...The chicken breast came out separately on its own plate and looked like it may have been flattened by some means that I don't even want to know... it was laughable as well as the size of the salad bar...If there are more than 3 people at the salad bar you have to wait for it to be restocked because the 3 people pr just loaded down on everything that was there...

They have good prices but slightly less than average food coming out of kitchen.To La Salle owners. Stop letting your salad dry out. Change the grease more often .cook your catfish with corn meal.step up your game all around. You are being complacent in your duties and small crowds is all you will attract.

I was very surprised to see nudity on tv at a family restaurant. I’m glad the owner realized it she changed immediately. My green beans were very cold but my steak and mash potatoes were fantastic.

Best ribeye Ive ever had outside of home grilled. NO KIDDING Sides were delicious 😋. However, lots of flys 🪰 while I was trying to eat. An my male waiter disappeared on my mid meal, so no refill. Had to get another waitress to cash me out. I was ready to go and had to wait. GET THE RIBEYE. I use A-1 sauce on steaks. I decided to give a try with just salt and pepper. Glad I decided to do that. The steak needs to sauce, the flavor is there. I'd come back for it.

The server we had was slow and not very nice. Had to ask a few times for anything including refills on tea or water. Overall a cool Building but service really made it sort of a letdown.

I ordered the t-bone steak medium well, side broccoli & potato, okay didn't have broccoli, and if I wanted a potato I would have to pay for it, okay my t-bone steak came back medium rare, no broccoli, no bread 🍞 just everything was wrong, I understand that along the way there was. A lack of communication and I understand, what I didn't agree was if you don't have the sides I ordered Why should I pay for a potato 🥔$3,00 it should've just been a substitute, it , and the waitress arguing with me and stated I said medium rare, I know what I said and I don't eat my meat that raw, I SAID MEDIUM WELL ,I guess I brought it to the owner who was very polite and courteous redid my order and I give her 10- STAR'S I'M sorry about that there was a misunderstanding, and no one is perfect, just don't tell me I ordered it medium rare, because that's why I was upset 😭 thank you owner for your professionalism, I will come back and bring my oil well Crew. 🌹

I think that they are overpriced. Of course we just stopped for lunch but the menu was very very tiny..not that a large menu is good but they had very little choice. Went for the burger and I must say the roll it is served on was a very good roll but the burger itself was DRY. It looked like it was smashed until all the life was let out of it. No juice and grey.. I was expecting a fine charbroiled burger but this thing was smashed on a flat top. The sad pickle that lay beside the dead piece of meat was just as pitiful. Limp and lifeless it looked like it spent many years on the Walmart shelf.. then there was the waffle cut sweet potato fries.. you would think after cooking the life out of the burger I could get some crispy fries but wrong again.. cold and under cooked.. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed just by looking at the reviews.. I had high hopes for this place.

Le Salle Steak House: Where the Food is as Bland as the Service Visited Le Salle Steak House Wed for a lunch meeting, and let’s just say, if you’re looking for excitement, you’d be better off watching paint dry. The steak was as thrilling as a tax seminar, and our waitress was as lively as a sloth on a Sunday afternoon. To add to the charm, the place doubled as a daycare. A bunch of waitresses’ kids were running around like they were training for the toddler Olympics. Between dodging tiny humans and trying to get some flavor out of my food, it was an experience to remember – or rather, one I’d like to forget. Not sure I’ll ever darken their doorstep again, unless I’m in desperate need of a nap. Two stars, because at least the chairs were comfortable.

Tonight was our first visit to this restaurant. Not sure if our waitress was new or what the situation was. Had a difficult time placing order. Husband went to fix his salad, I went to the restroom…our drinks disappeared while we were gone. Had to ask for new, and ask for silverware…guys at the next table gave us theirs so my husband could eat his salad. Never got any bread. I ordered chicken fried steak…got chicken fried chicken. It was good…just not what I wanted. Not sure that we will try them again.

I went there today. They open at 5:00 in the afternoon. I was one of the first people inside and seated. I got my tea and the young lady took my order. I got a small steak which includes salad bar and baked potato. When I went over to the salad bar to get a salad it was covered with bugs, gnats flies and some of the little weevil looking thing that was all over all the vegetables and salad. The young man that was seating people looked to me and said it's bad ain't it. I asked him if he knew it was bad. Why hadn't he fixed it? He said it wasn't his job but he said he would tell the girls in the back. In a few minutes the waitress come over and ask me what was wrong and I showed her the bugs on the salad bar. She said she would get somebody to fix it and another girl came out of the back with a paper towel and wiped off the little metal tray where you set your plate while you make your salad and wiped around the ranch dressing bowl and nothing more. The waitress came back over and I asked her if they were going to do anything about the salad bar and she said that they did. I explained to her they did not and ask her if my order had already been placed because I was going to go. She said it had and shortly after my steak arrived. My dinner was average but I was already pretty disgusted by that salad bar that she had told me was the one from lunch. Upon getting my bill it was substantially higher than I had estimated from the menu. When I asked about this she told me that the prices had not changed on the menu but had went up substantially as of the recent cost of things. I don't believe I will be returning. I barely left the restaurant headed toward ensenal when I started having some stomach pain and got sick. I would encourage you to stay away from the salad bar

Got the ribeye plate with corn and baked potatoe. It was very good but a little pricey. It said on the online menu the price was in the 20's when it is really in the 40's range. Was going to get a salad but there were bugs and flies crawling around it so decided not to. While eating from my plate there were flies flying around me and trying to get on my plate. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone until the fly problem is eliminated.

When was l8ving in the area 2 years ago this place was great place to eat. Now can't get no one to serve you. Chicken fried was like chewing on a piece of leather. Employees all running around giggling and talking on their phones not paying attention to the patrons. The only girl working was at the front door. Never will I set foot in this place again.

I come to Catoulla quite frequently have have been to this restaurant 3 times. After the last two I realized that the great service I received the first time was a fluke. Horrible service and food the last two times. Will never go back again. If the wait staff hadn't all been huddled at a table eating their food while we waited for ours maybe we would have gotten food while it was still hot.

Food was awful! $36 for a t bone steak with absolutely no flavor to it! Mashed potatoes and green beans were warm(not hot) when plate came out and also had no flavor whatsoever. I would never recommend this place to anyone, very disappointed!

I was seated immediately. But the problem came as I sat at my table for 20 min without even being Acknowledged. Wait staff was walking around me to the tables adjacent to where I was. Yet no one said a single word to me So after about 20 minutes of sitting there thirsty, hungry , craving a rib eye I just got up and left. Maybe it was the fact that it was just little ol me. Only reason I put a star was because that was the only option I had for the lowest. To begin with there is no reason why alcohol drinks should be brought before a kids fountain drink. Waitress was just sitting down while we waited 10 minutes. Had to ask the hostess to grab my child’s drink. Never came to our table to get our appetizer order. We requested another waitress. Started off decent, but that faded away pretty quick. Ordered shrimp with my steak, and that was delivered after my steak was done. My daughters fries were cold, and my gf’s Mac was cold as well. Both toilets were clogged. My daughter was just disgusted to point where she just wanted to just hold it in until we went back to the hotel. Spoke with the owners about the experience, and just seemed like it was just a blah blah conversation. In one ear and out the other. Bad thing about the whole situation was the fact that it wasn’t even packed at all. I’m all about service. I tip very well for great service, but this was just an overall bad experience from the get go. Enough to never return again. Sucks to have family come in from out of town just to have that experience. Embarrassing in my opinion. Was offered a discount, but I’m not that person. I don’t try to get out of getting a free meal. I pay for my own. I paid for the full bill, and left it that. Won’t be returning.

This place was such a disappointment. When we got in, it seemed like things were kind of chaotic even though they weren’t very busy at the time. To start off, the restaurant wasn’t very clean. Our seats were a little dirty the table was not clean and my daughters highchair was disgusting. The waitress did come over and wipe it down though. We placed our order and then we waited. We did get our appetizers but we never got any drink refills. Then they brought our food. Everyone got their meal except my son. We waited, and waited, and waited and nobody checked up on us. No one even came to refill our drinks still. When we finally got a hold of someone it was very obvious that they had forgotten to put my sons food order in. At this point everyone else in our party had already finished eating their meal. His meal should’ve been taken off our bill but instead we got a very quiet and feeble apology and that was it. We will not be returning here.

Country fried steak tasted like country fried SHOE, so rubbery and hard can’t even chew and had 0 flavor whatsoever. the prices don’t match the menu, steak advertised a certain amount then we paid $55!??? DOLLARS FOR A STEAK!? ridiculous. this isn’t a fine dining place, it wasn’t worth the prices at all and not even that good, bland. This place sucks ! Nope, won't go back! Never ever have I had this happen! I was still eating my dinner and my salad when the waitress came up and actually handed me the credit card machine to pay? While I was putting down her payment machine and asking her what was up, she started clearing my plates WTH?!?!?! never ever?!?! totally the rudest experience EVER ! BTW I arrived at 915pm to a place that closes at 10pm. This was the same time a group of 3 guys did. They seemed to not have to wait for menu, beer, glasses, plates, to place order, like I did... doubt they had the payment machine jammed into their faces while STILL EATING??? . My waitress was so useless it took away from any goodness of the food! Ok salad bar seemed good at first, even though totally minimalistic, steak was over salted, and french fries were soggy wet in grease. Was hungry enough was gonna overlook all that ! But ... nooooo ..... lets get payment and take away the plate you are actively eating on ???? No apology, no improvements! Had been eager for dessert, but guess that is not an option! Yep, this town is a great stop for those of us who commute regularly across the border. Will be 100% certain to never give these jerks another penny!

Stopped by on our way southbound, the restaurant was clean & waitresses were amicable. Our food took a very long time to be served plus the food was at room temperature. The chicken fried steak was very small, over cooked & the meat was not seasoned with salt (you can taste it when the breading falls off). My plate and drink was a total of $19. My partners chicken sandwich was also a small portion plus it also needed seasoning.
