Opinions de Alana's Coffee Roasters Culver City
Alana’s on Venice Blvd is one of those spots locals quietly rely on. No flashy hype, no influencer circus — just genuinely good coffee and a mellow neighborhood vibe. The beans are legit, the espresso is consistently dialed in, and the baristas actually care about what they’re serving. The space has that slightly eclectic, creative Westside feel — part coffee lab, part hangout for writers, cyclists, and people pretending to finish screenplays. It’s the kind of place where you’ll run into someone you know, or at least someone who looks like they live three blocks away. Pro tip: Go mid-morning, grab a seat, and stay a while. It’s one of the few spots where Venice still feels like Venice
Fresh, fast, and delicious mocha. Small parking lot next to the building with parking. Ordered to go and it was ready when I arrived.
This is a nice coffee shop. The cardamom brown sugar latte and espresso are good. The croissant and pesto tomato danish are yummy too! 😋
The coffee was cheap, it tasted delicious, and I literally only waited 10 seconds to get my coffee, they have amazing food here as well, not anything like a plate of food but little grab and go snacks, 10/10 recommend and The people there were very friendly and very helpful and very informative
Always a great experience when I visit Alana's. On this particular visit, while sitting on an outdoor picnic table, I met this little fabulous chia-seed sized creature. ❤️
Best coffee shop ever? I've been coming here regularly for a couple years. They make their own coffee, everyone who works there is amazing, amazing vibe, outdoor and indoor seating, great place to work for a couple hours, they even have their own small parking lot and lots of nearby street parking. If you've never been to Alana's you are missing out
Wonderful coffee and tea choices, friendly staff, great vib, particularly in back patio. This is my go to place to meet friends. Parking / well, nice lot during off times , other times challenging .Meters are an hour- use side streets .
Alana’s Coffee Roasters delivers top-notch coffee with genuine hospitality. Their beans are clearly roasted to perfection — you can taste the quality in every sip. I ordered an espresso and a croissant, and both were incredible. The café is bright, clean, and has a welcoming energy that instantly puts you at ease. The staff are attentive, polite, and really know their coffee. I love that they offer unique blends and seasonal specials. The attention to detail is unmatched — from presentation to flavor. It’s the perfect place to unwind or meet with friends. Highly recommend Alana’s Coffee Roasters to anyone who loves real coffee
Service was quick once we made it to the counter to order. Iced oat matcha latte was quick to come out and tasted perfect (along with spot on consistency). Other than the person smoking a cigar at a table out front at like 11am, would highly recommend! :)
This place is really amazing. A kind of local owned Coffee and Tea with lots of tables outside in front and on the outside patio in back. And there's a few tables inside by the front door. Very friendly staff. It reminds me of a place I went to for years, several years ago in Silicon Valley. The iced green tea is amazing. I have it every time I go and the pastries are excellent especially the Apple Danish. Very chill vibes. Very large parking lot extends from the front of the building all the way to the back patio area and beyond with an alley exit in the rear
Alana's was my go-to coffee place a year ago when I lived in LA area. The quality of coffee beans, the baristas, the vibe, and even the price are amazing. Whenever friends visited me, I always took them to Alana's and no one got disappointed. Although I have moved to TX for a while, I continue to order beans from Alana's because of its great service and quality.
This is my girlfriend favorite coffee place in LA, I’m from Italy and I was visiting her and she wanted to let me try it as well. I have to admit that this place is great and coffee very very good!l and their croissants as well! Vibes are great and the atmosphere as well, nice interiors and wide backyard next to the big parking lot where people can work and enjoy a chat under a tent. I’m looking forward to go back there when I’ll be in LA again!
Small and cozy, but always a line during peak hours. While the inside seating is limited, the bakery selection is not. They've got quite the selection of croissants, muffins, and even kouign amann. Unfortunately we don't really drink coffee. There's a small parking lot with free wifi, no wonder the seating is always full. Pretty fast service and the ambiance is cozy
Alana's Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee shop that roasts their coffee beans. They have their own private parking lot and paid street parking nearby. There's free Wi-Fi and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They also have a beautiful back patio/courtyard with more seating. Two bathrooms are available in the back. +Pour Over (rotating single origin) for $4.75 - This coffee is great. It's not bitter at all. - 5/5 Overall, Alana's Coffee Roasters is a sure bet for a quality cup of coffee. I would highly recommend checking them out.
This place would get 5 stars if they did a deep clean and followed safer food handling processes. They leave the milks on the counter way too long, there were at least a dozen gnats in the bakery case, and even a few flying around while we were drinking coffee. 😭 But the coffee is GOOD. And the pastries LOOK good. I just wouldn't eat them.
Nice café with a calm vibe. Coffee tasted fresh and seating was comfortable. Slight rush during evenings but overall a good place to relax.
Discovered this place this spring , drove by many times, worked at the Starbucks across the street during the pandemic, never once came here 🤯🤯🤯 Definitely adding to my work coffee shops Google maps list! ProTIP: Don’t bother with ordering ahead, don’t think they start making it until you get there? Also, YOU need to announce yourself when you arrive to initiate the making of the drink?? - Thats what I was told anyway.
The atmosphere is good, and there are tables outside, so you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee on a nice day. There is also a roasting machine, and you can see them roasting the beans themselves. The smell of roasting coffee is also very good. The coffee tastes very good. They sell coffee beans and various other products.
Coffee at Alana’s is decent, the drip blend starts out mellow and nutty but ends on a more sour note as you get further into the cup. They roast their own beans in house though so it’s nice to know that the brew is fresh. This location has plenty of parking both on the street and in their dedicated lot. Not only is there lots of parking, but the actual shop itself has lots of sitting options from the front patio, to the inside, to the back patio area.
I’ve been trying to give this place multiple chances but they’re a much different coffee shop than they used to be. The customer service has been awful, employees behind the counter are always on their phones and when they do actually talk to you they act like you’re bothering them. Like I said, Idk what changed but it’s a bummer.
Alana's on Venice Boulevard is a popular local coffee shop. It was almost packed both in and out when I paid my visit. The backyard patio looks really nice but inside the room was cramped, leaving a narrow walkway to access the patio between the waiting line and a small glass room housing a roaster at work. It just wasn't very comfortable. What bugged the most though, was my coffee. While waiting for my drink, I was watching the two baristas making latte arts for the customer ahead of me. One of them was pretty careless, and by the time the more meticulous barista finished the art, she already made my flat white as well. It was literally flat and white. No latte art, scalding hot, and the taste was as bland as the look. I dumped it in a garbage can after one little sip. The paper cup was so thin that I would have burnt my finger had I held it any longer. A really terrible experience.
I recently visited this establishment because I’ve heard some things about it - but I am the type of person that I will try everything myself before I go with what the crowd says. Coffee: subpar to say the least - honestly nothing special. Environment- the day I visited the environment was chill - but I have heard that if you do not fit their “likings” that you will be straight up treated like less of a human being. I didn’t feel like being embarrassed or degraded that day so I didn’t wear or say anything that would put me on their enemy list for that day. I feel bad for the customers that come in just for a drink and get degraded though. But I guess they don’t want everyone’s business. But all in all honest review- nothing special - I’ll stick to Starbucks - drinks are more flavorful and at least there they have sense enough to continue to act humane to all people - not just some….
