Ok, this is my favorite brunch spot in the area! Delicious food, friendly service.. you rarely wait. Their potatoes are to die for, so are the bennys on croissant. French flair can be felt all over the menu. Go! You won’t regret it.
10/10 food was fantastic and so was the service. Had brunch here, I had the crepes and a side of bacon and egg and my partner had the breakfast special. The bacon was cooked perfectly along with my egg and everything else. Sat on the patio on a beautiful day easy to get to, highly recommend
Charming spot! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a French inspired menu. Everything is great though I am partial to the omelettes and crepes. It’s on the pricier side but the portion sizes are great. Friendly efficient staff and cozy atmosphere. This was my first time back since they loved from their old location but happy to report they brought all the good stuff along with them.
What a delightful little find. I had the Spanish omelette and was expecting a copy and paste Spanish plus egg plus omelette though I was delightfully surprised. The depth of the flavors and the quality of the ingredients spoke to a refined knowledge of the culinary arts. The owner is the coolest too. He greeted customers and walked about the restaurant with a warm and inviting aire to him. We had a delightful conversation, nothing felt forced. Just a genuinely good person. (I’m going to butcher the spelling, but) He said his name was RAYON. 10 out of 10 would recommend
Café Laurent is an absolute gem! The food is simply amazing—we had their Eggs Benedict served on a croissant, which came with delicious potatoes and a choice of salad or fresh fruit. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is just wonderful. Plus, they’ve started serving mimosas, which was such a perfect touch to our brunch. Cheers to that! Highly recommend 😊
Cafe Laurent was the perfect brunch date spot! After the farmers market, we enjoyed a cozy meal—had the “fancy brunch” and turkey eggs Benny, and both were delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the flavors really hit the mark. Service was friendly and relaxed, and was offered. Yea refill promptly. though there were a few flies around. Overall, a charming spot with great food ideal for a laid-back brunch!
Loved the food! The owner is the one who gave me a run down of the menu, he was super friendly and my mouth was watering before he even finished explaining his recommendations. My finance and I both got the fancy brunch (I was stuffed after half so I got 2 meals out of it but my fiance basically licked his plate clean). Service was good and the food came out quickly. On a Saturday morning 10am street parking was easy and there was no wait. We got to choose between indoor, outdoor or a covered patio
Cozy cafe that just moved from their original Culver City location to Mar Vista, right next to the Sunday Farmers’ Market They make the eggs and turkey sausage really well here.. got the veggie omelette and added turkey sausage to it. Definitely the move :) Found the Paris Breakfast Sandwich just ok.. feel you’re better off getting a crepe or something else If you’re a fan of potatoes, the potatoes gratin is a MUST! Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you’re looked after There’s an awesome patio area on the side after you enter too
Lovely food, with a great a must fear, really recommend the potato that comes with brunch dishes. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, it offers some cover, but it's open. We seem to have understood that they are going to be moving to Inglewood, we will definitely be going to the new location as well.
The First Time I tried Cafe Laurent is with my fellow office workers. So I enjoy the Chicken Salad on the day before Christmas. I haven’t been there for about maybe 10 years. So I went there with my dad. And I tried The Pain Perdu French Toast which is really good!! And yesterday I ate was the Eggs Benedict & I like it a lot!! So I recommend if you want to take either your family or friends for a good lunch!!
We arrived at 11:30am and had brunch in the outside area. The food was very good! We ordered Fancy Brunch and Breakfast Paris Sandwich. Both of them had croissant but with different stuffing, and they were both tasty. The potato gratin was very delicious, and the fruit were fresh. We chose french toast for Fancy Brunch, and it was nice. We ended up packaging 1/3 of the food home.
This place is a great cute brunch spot, i love that they are authentic to french hospitality and give you complementary bread and butter with jam. The bread was made in house and it was delicious and the fig jam was the perfect combination! The portion sizes were big, but the price was a little bit pricey for it. They were also very quick to bring out the food, not sure if that’s a good or bad thing… The only downside i would say is the quiche i got wasn’t that flavorful and i wouldn’t recommend it or get it again. I had to drown it in salt and hot sauce for it to taste good. But the potatoes were amazing and the fruit was ok.
Very nice patio to enjoy brunch. Close to a park. The upside of being on the patio is the atmosphere and fresh air. The downside is getting a server's attention. Food is pretty good. I love the omelettes, quiches, and sweets. 1 of my companions thought their steak was not very flavorful. Another had some berries with tiny dots of mold on them in their bowl and had to complain twice to get fresh berries. Hence a star down.
First time trying this place for breakfast. Very nice selection of crepes, omelettes and other breakfast items. I had a croque madame with ham which was very good. Dropped 1 star on food because coffee was very bland/subpar for a french restaurant and I have had much better at many other breakfast places across LA. Dropped one star from service because they cleared the table and never brought the check until we asked where it was 10 min later.
The food was very enjoyable. I wish the outdoor seating was more comfortable and we had to move inside because the chairs, but overall I liked it. I would recommend the pancakes with the lemon sugar and a side of potato gratin. My husband ordered the beef chorizo burger, he did like it but since they have too cook it well done it was a bit dry.
French spot with quick service. Note that the Yelp checkin deal of the free latte with a purchase of an omelette no longer is valid. Metered street parking available. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Credit cards accepted. There is a gender neutral restroom available out by the extended patio. I noticed a sign indicating that they were changing locations soon, so these logistics may soon be moot. In terms of food, I was deciding between the omelette and the crepe version of the L’Antique (which comes with cream cheese and smoked salmon), and our waiter suggested the omelette. Most of the dishes came with an option of potatoes gratin and fruit or salad. All in all, the food was very rich and we left very full.
20 to 30 dollar brunch, close to LAX maybe 15 min away on a weekend. Good food. Seated quickly. Indoor and outdoor but better lighting outside. Nice vibe. There was one all gender bathroom for the whole place which is inconvenient when line gets long. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. I got the fancy brunch for 19. It was filling and tasty. The potato gratin was delicious. Expect to pay 5 more for a mediocre coffee and 5 more for a croissant or pastry. Parking is on the street.
