Had a delightful time at Margot. We got there around 11:30am during the rainy week in LA. Place is beautifully decorated. It feels kinda like an Anthropologie-like vibe. We loved it. We sat in the corner by all the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the tram (whatever it’s called) Service was attentive and he made solid recommendations. We ordered the Oatmeal Pancakes, the potato things (forgot the name but it looked like mini potatoes pancakes) Beet and Burrata salad and the Chicken Caesar salad. All of it was portioned well and tasted wonderful to us. It was just the right amount of food with no leftovers. There were 3 of us. The bar looks super and was getting much busier as we were leaving (12:45pm-ish) Valet was convenient, since the parking isn’t that easy. At least for us it was challenging to find a close spot. Will be back to check out the evening vibes.

Nice place for a date night. Fancy. Indoor and outdoor seating on the roof. Views are of Culver City buildings & the metro train, not a garden, but it was still nice. Salad "small plate" starter was plenty to share for an appetizer. Pasta main dish was also a good size. The salmon main course was a bit small, but as expected for a fancy place. The drinks were fabulous . Have vegetarian items if you eat dairy/eggs/ pasta, but not too many vegan items.

Margot is a gorgeous restaurant. 🤩 It was a bit tricky for us to find, if you enter from Landmark, it’s in the far right back corner of the plaza. The service was impeccable, and I’ll reiterate what I started with, the place is beautiful and welcoming. I went with a client for a business lunch but I can imagine how fun this place would be on a weekend. Now, I will say this. The food was good, but it’s very overpriced. You’re definitely paying for the beauty of the place and the soap in the bathroom. Salad $30. Water $10. Want a refill on your iced tea? You’re paying $6 each time. 😐 Would I go back? I would with clients but not on my own. Too 🤑

Sat outside but it was pleasant under the shaded umbrellas. Server was fantastic and attentive. This place caters to more business but on the weekends it is a mixed crowd. We had plates to share. The tuna and hamachi starters were great but hamachi was tastier. The charred broccoli was great. I think the only thing missing was bits of bacon. Meatball sandwich was tasty as well as the golden beets which matched well with the burrata cheese. Overall a great experience. Sadly they did not carry a Bloody Mary.

We went to Margot for brunch and it did not disappoint. The vibes and views alone are worth the visit, but the food and service sealed the deal for us. Our waiter was great! He was really friendly and gave us a great rec: the French toast, which was next level, possibly the best in the city! We also had the oysters and arancini, and both were delish. If you’re looking for a bougie weekend brunch spot or cute dinner spot overlooking the city at sunset, Margot nails it. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

One of my favorite restaurants. Such a pretty rooftop. Perfect for a date or girls night out. The broccoli dish is massive and filling it’s so good that’s a must try. All the pastas are good. I love this spot in the winter because of the rooftop/heat lamps it couldn’t be more perfect.

I went to Margot's for a dinner my job was sponsoring and it was really nice. From the little shops on the street level to the atmosphere of the actual restaurant. I would describe the design style as maybe organic boho. It was really cute! The bathrooms were really nice too. Unisex though. They reserved the private patio for us and it was nice and secluded. Someone that was at the diner said they were there for a birthday dinner just the weekend before and it was in the main dining room but it was noisy and people kept walking through their party to get to the bathroom. So if you want to go here and want a private, quiet experience then reserve the private patio. If you want to meet other people or don't mind the noise of other people and the kitchen then the main dining room is fine. The food looked and tasted gourmet. I loved the presentation.

Very beautiful atmosphere! Nice to sit on the patio next to a heater on a cloudy day. Came here for the afternoon menu and the food was amazing. I recommend trying the charred broccoli - it was our favourite dish, we couldn't stop talking about how much we enjoyed it. Drinks were great too. Server was very nice and gave good, honest recommendations. Would definitely return!

Great ambiance and stellar service. Food super solid. See image of receipt for what we ordered. All dishes solid with salad, bombolotti pasta and pork chop very good. Not cheap as dinner for four with a $55 bottle of wine came to $317 with tax and tip.

The cuisine is a mix of Californian-Italian-Mediterranean, and everything I’ve had is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is hip, trendy, and upscale, but without feeling pretentious. They have large windows, setting the perfect vibe for either day or night dining. You wouldn’t think frayed black rope hanging from a tall ceiling would look cool in a space, but it works here. The bathrooms are individual stalls (my preference - I don’t want to hear other people using the restroom) and they have my favorite Aesop hand soap! We all had a drink and shared 4 small dishes + 1 entree, and it came out to ~$79 per person for 3 people. We were easily able to make a reservation for Margot on the Resy app, and we were able to specify that we wanted to sit in the indoor dining room since it was cold outside (although I love the vibes on the patio). For parking, we self parked in the lot right across the street (8850 Washington Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232) and walked through the Platform shopping center. To get to Margot, you take the swanky elevator (hidden in a corner, next to the jewelry store Catbird) and go to the top floor. I loved everything we had and would repeat this exact order again. Here was our order: Yellowtail crudo ($26) calabrian kosho, radish, citrus. Refreshing, citrus-forward, perfect texture. I loved this so much that next time I would order both crudos to share. Patatas bravas ($16) crispy fingerlings potato’s with smoked paprika aioli on the side. Yummy for anyone who enjoys potatoes. Wild arugula salad ($20) with hazelnuts, vinaigrette, thinly sliced apples, and Manchego sheep cheese. Light & delicious. Charred broccoli ($24) with garlic yogurt, black garlic vinaigrette, feta. It didn’t say it on the menu, but I’m pretty sure it’s topped with quinoa. An absolute must order. For our entrée, since we were already on a seafood theme, we went with the Ora king salmon ($38) with black rice, avocado mousse, leeks, and serrano aioli. House Cocktail: The Hugo ($18) with elderflower, Prosecco & mint. Non-alcohol Mocktail: Arancia Spritz ($14) Lyre's Italian orange non-alcoholic spirit & soda. Leaning sweet without being overpowering, served in a fun glass.

We recently held our anniversary party at Margot, and could not be happier with our choice. The planning process was extremely easy due to Margot’s wonderful event director, Sarah. She was flexible and accommodating to our every request, and always present if we had questions. The GM, Parker, was super helpful on the day as well. The night of our event, everything was in place, ready to go, with no issues. They even set out my flower arrangements for me. The staff was so friendly, anticipated everyone’s needs, and nobody wanted for anything the whole night. All our guests talked about how friendly and helpful all members of staff were. The food and drinks were delicious and crowd pleasing. I could not say enough good things about how beautiful and clean the interior of the restaurant is. I was shocked that for such a large event, not a single thing went wrong or off schedule. Everything was literally perfect! Thank you SO MUCH Margot team!

The atmosphere is amazing. Whether you come in the day or come at night, the views and overall feel of the place are relaxing. At night, you can sit around the fire, enjoy a few drinks, and chat it up with family or friends. Their service is also amazing. They are always attentive and aim to please. I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but the food is just okay and small portions. I like the atmosphere so I'll keep coming back

Margot is solid- yohre paying more for the vibe than anything else (Aesop soap in the bathroom is a clear indicator of this). Food is fine but nothing to write home about. Same with the service. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon but I don't regret going by any means- solidly enjoyable. Small menu so I'm sure you can't really go wrong with anything.

This is an upscale restaurant in the new culver city dining district area. It's by the new metro station. There are a lot of new nice and fun restaurants opening up in the area. Thia one is super chic. Very nice decor with outdoor seating. The price is pretty up there to. Drinks run above $20. The food was good. Nice presentation, good flavors and decent portion size. We had a lot of dishes since it was a group of 6. I dont remember what everyone had, I had the roast. It was tender and juicy with a pepper crust. Really good flavor. This place also offer brunch. With the views and atmosphere pretty sure it's a great location for a brunch. It's a nice place for a date. I would recommend it.

Amazing place, great atmosphere the food was amazing. The service was top notch, and I would’ve have given a 5 star but the desert was mid at best for the price. My suggestion would be redo their desert menu option. I got the tres leche tiramisu and the chocolate cake and they were not good. But either than that, the main dishes and the appetizers selection were fantastic! I would definitely come back.

Visiting a friend in Culver City and she took us to Margot- one her favorites. The design, atmosphere/ ambiance of the rooftop terrace — really gorgeous. But you can’t eat the scenery. We had high expectations but were ultimately disappointed with the food. Of the small plates: the Potatoes Bravas were the standout. The humble potato won the day over Charred Broccoliand prawns. The entire prawn is served - head to tail - which is fine and makes for a messy experience. Beet Salad was a strong second. Generous plate of Pasta Bolognese for three of us— bland and a bit gummy as if the noodles absorbed the sauce. More sauce, please. The service is excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Decent wine list and satisfying cocktails.

Beautiful open air roof top, quite spacious as well. The food on the other hand… Got the lamb meatballs, broccoli, and shrimp pasta. The broccoli dish was perfectly cooked and had that balance of both rich and brightness. The lamb meatballs were bland, and pasta was decent but not memorable. Great place for rooftop drinks, maybe a date or a business dinner. But not a casual place, nor would I come back for the food.

I absolutely love the atmosphere at this place! To get to the rooftop restaurant, you take an elevator, and even the decor inside the elevator is chic and stylish. It really sets the tone for what’s to come. When we arrived, we came at an off hour, and there wasn’t anyone at the host stand, even though the restaurant was empty. We had to flag someone down, but once we did, they seated us right away. The menu was concise, with fewer lunch options, but the choices were high quality. I ordered the salmon with a tequila-based cocktail, and the pairing was perfect. Although we thought the salmon could have been cooked a little longer, the rice-like mixture and aïoli sauce that accompanied it were absolutely delicious. One downside was the bathrooms. They’re unisex with individual stalls, each having a toilet, a urinal, and a sink. I didn’t think this was the best choice, as the urinals tend to have a stronger odor. I wasn’t too keen on the fact that I had to deal with the smell while using the sink inside the stall. There are sinks outside of the stalls, which would have avoided this issue, but I didn’t realize that at the time.

I would only recommend coming here for drinks and drinks alone. Their cocktails and non alcoholic tea options were superb. Let’s get into the food. Firstly, it took a while to come out. The highly recommended charred broccoli app was in fact not charred; blanched and watery. The 2 pastas we ordered lacked flavor and all were water downed. The rooftop and interior of the restaurant are gorgeous- however I cannot justify the food costs because of where the food quality is at. Lastly, we were asked our drinks order after being seated by 3 different servers. It seemed a bit disorganized and it the drinks took over 20 mins to come out. Please get it together.

1 star – Pricing Transparency Concern (Valentine’s Day) I’m sharing this experience so other families and customers know to ask detailed pricing questions before dining here, especially on holidays. On Valentine’s Day, my three teenagers (ages 13, 14, and 16) went to Margot for dinner. They’ve eaten here before, so we expected pricing similar to the regular menu (most entrées listed around $28–$70). However: The reservation confirmation said only “Prix Fixe Menu” — no price was listed When they arrived, they were given a special menu with no prices No one explained that the Valentine’s menu was $150 per person They were told they would receive “one of everything” Because there were three of them, staff said the restaurant would add “extra dishes,” which sounded like accommodation — not three full $150 charges One of my children is gluten-intolerant and was told she couldn’t eat about half the menu, but there was no adjustment The final bill was over $550, and the price was only discovered at the end They were also presented with a champagne/alcohol menu, even though all three are minors The main issue is lack of price transparency before service. Had the price been clearly disclosed, they would not have dined that evening. I have contacted the restaurant multiple times by phone and email and have not been able to reach a manager or receive a response. The restaurant itself is a nice space, and past visits were fine, but this experience was very disappointing. If you plan to dine here — especially for special events — I strongly recommend confirming total pricing in advance. Sharing this so others don’t end up surprised.

Food is pretty good, server was attentive and knowledgeable, menu is probably more expensive than the quality warrants but not thaat far out of expectation. With all that said, I would give Margot a 0-star review if I could because the slimy management tries to tack on a 4% "restaurant fee" that doesn't actually go towards kitchen nor serving staff. It's the most ridiculous thing I've EVER seen on a receipt and you can just ask to have it removed. Read everyone else's reviews and you'll see they've tried to relabel this fee over the years in their incompetence. Skip this place.
