As someone who often roams the bustling streets of Downtown in search of new culinary experiences, my journey took an unexpected turn when I stumbled upon Carpe Lounge. Initially, I was on my way to another bar, but the inviting ambiance of Carpe lured me in, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly discovering that they served Nigerian Jollof rice. As a connoisseur of Jollof myself, I made sure to inquire about its origin. To my amazement, it was hands down the best Jollof rice I've ever had. The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly spiced, just like the ones I cherish in my own catering. But the culinary adventure didn't stop there. I paired the Jollof with honey ranch wings, and the combination was nothing short of incredible. The sweet touch of honey mingling with the savory Jollof rice created an explosion of flavors that I still savor to this day. What made the experience even more remarkable was the professionalism of the service, a rare find in downtown establishments. My server, Ileah, was exceptional. She exhibited patience with my various questions and ensured my order was handled perfectly, adding a personal touch to the already fantastic experience. To top it all off, the bill for my delicious meal, including my drink of choice, Casa Migos Reposado, came to less than $50. An excellent value for a downtown dining experience believe me. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Carpe Lounge to anyone looking for a unique and satisfying culinary journey. With its superb food, professional service, and great value, Carpe Lounge deserves a resounding 5 stars! Oh and the Hookah was made to perfection 🔥🔥🔥

Everyone needs their place to have a good time, and Carpe Lounge serves a unique demographic of mature adults who enjoy partying with other mature adults. Although Carpe Lounge has a heavy African influence, they’re welcoming to all. The decor could have been better executed, however the layout works well for table service, which includes a small food menu, offering generously plated exotic dishes, that some may find a bit pricey for the experience, but the portions justify the prices. Want to move your body? that can happen too, thanks to the pumping sounds of the DJ; no large dance floor is provided, but people easily dance in front of their tables. The bar service could have been faster, and I would enjoy some additional liquor options, but I was able to enjoy myself all the same. The new kid on the block, Carpe Lounge has some kinks to work out; if the owner’s attention to detail remains focused, they should have them worked out quickly. If you’re looking for a different experience from happy hour, to 2 a.m., visit Carpes, you may find somethings you really love! Xoxo Lorenzo!

The absolute worst! Food, Service & drinks! It was my friend Birthday Dinner reservations were at 6:30pm. Arrived it smelled or sewer & trash they hurry n turned lights on & mop the floor with fabuloso to rid the smell. The place was nice looking but definitely deceiving. Nobody was there but us. We ordered then started smelling burnt grease! No Food came out until 8pm we were trying to make the best of her birthday & not ruin by complaining or leaving & finding some where else to go so we chilled & vibes to the music the waitress kept coming out (poor her she was sweet) saying the chef was behind again no other customers were there but us! Some of us Food had spoil taste I had lamb chops they just tasted over cooked. The drinks were mostly Ice & mixture! We reached out to owner to attempt to rectify & to add insult to injury they had the nerve to charge 10$ gratuity. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE A WASTE OF TIME & MONEY
