My girlfriend and I spent our Valentine’s Day Dinner here this year. The dinner special was $125 for two, which included two glasses of prosecco, a bottle of white or red wine, a choice of two apps, a choice of two entrees, and a choice of two desserts. I thought this was tremendous value for a Saturday night Vday dinner out, especially comparing to other potential options. The food quality was great, and I thought the portions were above average, especially the steak frites. The ambiance is minimal, but still felt elevated enough for a special occasion. Normally I would dock a star for service, as we didn’t get our wine until halfway through the main course (and had to ask multiple times), but Cafe Momentum has a noble mission. Go in expecting to grade the service on a curve and you’ll be set. Would definitely go back as Cafe Momentum is a net positive for the community and a great cause to support.

Looking for dinner in downtown Dallas? Cafe Momentum is a few minutes walk from Akard Station and across from Thanksgiving Square. A great place for a great dinner, for a great cause, whether on your own, on a date, or with a group. Always fantastic service. Food is wonderfully prepared and plated. (My favorites are the bread basket and Smoked Fried Chicken). Atmosphere and setting is classy, warm, and intimate. Service is welcoming and attentive from start to finish and certain nights will feature events or live performances. A must try.

I had a birthday dinner at cafe momentum with 10 people on my table. The food quality, taste, and service are all excellent. The host and waiter that are in the program and assisted my table were respectful and have pleasant attitude. We had almost everything on the appetizer and main entree menu, they are all delicious. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to enjoy a delicious meal while supporting their great mission.

I went to Cafe Momentum tonight for the first time. It was a great experience. I love that restaurant helps at risk young adults. Our waitress Bursey was great, she explained the program to us very well! She even sang Happy Birthday to our birthday girl! The smoked fried chicken was delicious, thanks for recommending from the couple at the table next to us and Bursey, it’s one of her favs. Great atmosphere, Great Place, Great Cause!

Spending a night in Dallas and wanted a nice restaurant to take my wife. We decided on Cafe Momentum after looking at the menu and reviews. We could not have been happier with our experience. We started with a bread basket and a beet and burrata salad. The basket came with salted butter, jam, and multiple breads: hot biscuits, cheese bread, and wheat. The salad was beautifully plated and tasted very fresh. For our meal we ordered the Straw And Hay Pasta, Smoked Fried Chicken, and Mushroom Birria. Much like the salad everything was plated with careful attention and very fresh ingredients. The pasta was clearly hand made, the chicken was juicy, tender, and smoky, and the mushroom birria did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome, checked on us regularly, and kept our cups full. If we ever come back to Dallas we are definitely stopped here for a meal again.

Dining at Café Momentum is an experience that nourishes the soul as much as it satisfies the palate. Will come again, not just for the truly excellent food, but because supporting their invaluable mission is more than worth it. The quality of the dishes was superb. The charcuterie board was a particular highlight, and we were completely won over by the bread basket, which was loaded with wonderfully good and yummy goodies made in their kitchen. My coworkers were blown away by the fried chicken, chickpea tagine, and biscuits. The service is delivered by a team of young, energetic staff who are clearly focused on doing a fantastic job and are actively being coached. Be prepared to embrace patience, as some courses took a while and the team needed occasional reminders on requests. However, these minor delays fade into insignificance when you consider the powerful purpose behind every plate served. Go, enjoy the delicious cuisine, and be part of their mission!

Wonderful experience! We stopped in for an early reservation before a concert and really enjoyed everything. Entrees where so good. Staff attentive and informative. Such a great concept and we can not wait to return. The seabass was cooked to perfection by a up and coming 16 year old and was some of the best I have had. The steak was excellent and cooked to perfection. Appetizers is a must have. We had three. Fried Green tomatoes where crisp and the sauce was perfect. We had a carrot app with ricotta, pistachio and honey and my wife loved this one the most. Also had a tuna app with compressed watermelon and was equally as good as the others. We highly recommend Cafe Momentum

Great place for a romantic date night. Peaceful calming environment. Healthy and delicious food, attentive staff, family type business. This place has been a great first job for my son. They aim to help 15 to 18 year old youth stay out of trouble, and introduce them to a community of men and women who encourages them to stay in school and succeed. Will definitely be back.

Food is excellent! The servers are in training 🙄 Don't expect fast service, and they might not be as proficient as at other restaurants. But they're fun to interact with, and we truly enjoyed hearing a little of their journeys. Overall, the food was worth the slower service, and we love knowing our purchases and tips are making a difference in their lives.

I had an amazing meal at Cafe Momentum in Dallas last night. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the door by an energetic young man who walked me to the host stand. The host escorted me to my table and I was greeted by my server shortly thereafter. I ordered the hummus as my starter and the NY strip as my entree. The hummus was delicious and it was accompanied by radishes, carrots and toasted bread. The NY strip was juicy and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I washed the meal down with a bold red blend. The meal was a 10 out of 10 and I hope you give Cafe Momentum a try.
