Opinions de The Berni Bean Coffee Co. Dallas
Such a cute coffee shop and had one of the best specialty drinks! The sloth milk latte is one of their specialty drinks and has taro, condensed milk and strawberry which ends up tasting like fruit loops. I'm a fan of sweeter drinks so this one was perfect for me. I got it with oat milk and it was so good and refreshing! We came earlier in the morning so seating was easy to find. If you're dining in, your order will be brought to your table. The presentation of the latte is so pretty, and was brought quickly after ordering. So glad we found this spot through yelp!
This is a cute coffee shop located in the heart of downtown Dallas. Cause I’m not a fan of coffee I always tend to order for alternative options. I got a Chai Tea Latte and 5/5. The vibe is really cozy. Wifi was not estable if you’re trying to get work done. That’s the only reason I would give the 4.5 but overall, a really good place.
Best specialty coffee in Dallas - unlike other shops that claim to have specialty coffee, Berni Bean REALLY serves that! Coffee options are creative and fun to try. Food is amazing too. The atmosphere feels authentic and super cozy. Staff is also great, always willing to help out! This is my go-to coffee shop in Dallas, so happy they now have two locations to choose from!
Some times I give 5 star reviews on here because there is no decimal point system for the ratings, and so I round up. That is not the case with this place. I give it a solid 5.0 stars. I'm from California and have visited Texas a few times and this place makes it to my top 3 coffee shops out of the 40+ specialty coffee shops I've been too. The service was outstanding, the coffee (iced french toast latte) was amazing, and the blueberry muffin was superb! Not to mention the great ambience! Well worth the struggle to find parking. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, and the continue to go and support it! 👍🏼🙂
Stopped in while I was picking up sushi next door and immediately swooned. What a great ambiance and awesome service. I’m originally from Miami so I had to try an arepa and it didn’t disappoint. My purple typhoon matcha was very smooth, not too sweet. Don’t live here but this would be one of my go-to’s if I did. Only issue is not too much parking but if you’re in downtown Dallas it’s worth a stop!
Costa Rica place!!! They have really good bean options from Costa Rica. I was so happy when I found this place, with all the options that they have, I tried the Costa Rica breakfast with gallo pinto, and was good. It is hard to find a place inspired in Costa Rica flavors and coffe and this is awesome!!
This place is amazing! The environment is really cool, and a really interesting vibe to grab coffee. The coffee is amazing, and they are so helpful in telling you about the coffee, and any substitutions (lactose intolerant here), while still making it taste amazing! And the pastries are awesome as well. Definitely recommend. Also, they have a cool photo op wall if that's your thing.
What a beautiful little coffee shop! You walk in and your day automatically brightens up. I love how its put together with its bright pink walls and local artwork from Costa Rica. I loved a particular painting so much, I bought it! I placed a to-go order for the avocado toast and the Nutella latte (delicious). I wish I would have checked the avocado toast before leaving, because when I opened it, the avocado was brown and not appetizing. It was pretty obvious the lady who prepared it, didn't bother using fresh avocado.
This is an adorable coffee shop. You can tell they put a lot of thought into every detail when creating a space. They baristas' uniforms also match the vibe perfectly! I ordered a Banana Monkey smoothie, and it was delicious. If you need a place to study or hang out with friends, I highly recommend this coffee shop.
Wonderful place. I dunno if it’s cos I’m foreign but Australians are very particular about cafés, and I loved this one. The cafecito Pura Vida coffee is wonderful if you love batch brew / drip coffee like I do. The breakfast burritico was so tasty. Best I’ve ever had. So glad I found this place! 👏
I’m visiting and staying at a hotel downtown, and one thing I always do on my travel is try local coffee shops. Berni Bean is one you can’t miss. They make their syrups in house and offer unique flavor combos. I really enjoyed the pistachio latte & granola bowl. It was quiet on a Sunday morning from 9-11am, with a steady flow of traffic. Bonus points for the sloth accents 🦥
Very good pour overs with a variety of choices of Costa Rican coffees. You can even choose among three pour over methods. Good food too.
My husband and I were in town for a quick trip and stayed close by at The Kimpton Pittman Hotel. We walked to Berni Bean for breakfast and coffee. The barista was really sweet and our coffee and breakfast were delicious.
Another awesome find. They closed the old location at N Saint Paul St (still shows up at google maps but there is a sign at the old place saying the correct location). The new location is on the 1st floor of a corporate building and it’s more spacious, modern, and sleek. This new spot is perfect because it’s at the center of the City Center District and slightly north of downtown. So walking distance from the core of the area. The specialty coffees are very delicious and the baristas are very friendly in suggesting to customize them. They also serve traditional coffee drinks and have an a variety of different coffee beans. Plus, they also have baked food and pastries. Awesome coffee place to sit down, relax, and sip some great quality coffee.
Top coffee shops to visit in Dallas! You can taste the quality in their drinks/food. They actually cook their food unlike chain coffee shops. Everything is made to order so you know it’s gonna be fresh. Everyone here has been super friendly if you have any questions they are always down to help! Will definitely be coming back! <3
Cute little coffee shop in downtown Dallas that has good tasting coffee. I ordered the vanilla rose oat latte and it was good. Light medium roast with toasty notes but not a whole lot of crema. I would suggest ordering a flat white if you come here and like a nice strong espresso with milk.
Love this place 100%. My favorite spot downtown. Even cuter style with this new spot! Love all the seasonal drinks!
Great coffee I accidentally spilled my cup and workers were super nice about it! Would definitely recommend
After searching for the perfect coffee spot for my boyfriend’s birthday, I finally came across Berni Bean and I’m so glad I ended up coming here!!! The place is so cute and I can’t get enough of the vibes. The staff are so friendly, sweet, and helpful as well. My boyfriend was very impressed with the coffee and I with my smoothie. Their Croissandwich is AMAZING! If you’re looking for a cute hole in the wall coffee shop in Dallas, come and check out this place!
Cute and cozy coffee shop. Friendly staff. I have been there several times and Raiyn made my coffee each time. Delicious. My favorite is always the Bee Happy Latte.
beleive the hype, at least at the downtown location! food is delish and baristas were super helpful and accommodating when picking a menu item!
Really nice relaxed coffee shop. I came here on a Sunday morning and there was a decent amount of people but not crowded. The staff was great with their recommendations and seemed really to enjoy working here. I had a great Butterscotch Maple latte with oat milk. It was nice and creamy and also not overly sweet or sugary. Great spot in downtown Dallas!! Would definitely come back.
We were just looking for a nice spot to drink coffee and this turned out great. Great Variety of coffee, menu, and nice prices. The core makes it seem you’re actually in Costa Rica.
Beautiful shop, especially for the plant lovers. Love the wide variety of unique drinks offered here. The coffee was good, my Mango and coconut latte was so good! It was very different and very refreshing. The baristas were all very sweet.

Best coffee in Dallas, TX and the best customer service. Everything is made fresh, and made to order and SEED OIL FREE. You can just tell they care about their product with how much time and effort goes into each cup!
I had the best breakfast burrito of my life here. You must try it. The coffee is spectacular. I had an iced coffee and a macchiato. I could not recommend this spot more.
We visited Berni Bean Coffee Company last spring, and it was an okay experience overall. We ordered a hot vanilla latte and a few savory items but didn’t get a chance to snap any photos. The highlight for me was the interior, which had a nice forest-like vibe that gave the place a unique feel. However, nothing particularly stood out that would bring us back. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area and curious about the atmosphere.
First time visiting this coffee shop and I gotta say the ambience is peaceful and welcoming. The bagels and sandwiches are delicious but the croissant that i had left much to be desired. I had a rose infused latte while my date had a blueberry infused one it took a bit to get used to the flavors but not surprising by since they were unique in their own way. I will say that the italiano indulgent had a smooth and nutty taste that was complimented by the sweetness of the amaretto and hazelnut. Overall a nice place to go to on a rainy day or to socialize just as long as you don’t mind paying for parking on the streets of Dallas.
Parking is difficult to find. Be careful walking here as the homeless people are very pushy. Staff always seems cold. Latte is a hit or miss
Decent coffee, good food, and excellent customer service. I got the all farm bagel and a 16oz latte for $17. The coffee was decent not the best latte I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. The food was good and reasonably priced. A good place to stop if you are in the area but not worth going out of the way for.

I'm glad they moved to this new location! My coworkers and I really appreciate the BOGO 50% off special om Fridays. The different coffee drinks we've all tried are great! The service can be a bit slow, but there has usually only been 2-3 workers so it's understandable considering they make quality drinks, so its worth the wait. But just plan ahead if you're on a tight work schedule and think you'll swing by and grab a quick drink. You could order ahead online instead. The bruch food menu looks interesting, and I hope to try some items soon! I find it inconvenient that there is no large menu board posted, however.

I ordered the All Farm Bagel & the Honey Bee Latte. It cost about $17. The sandwich has bacon, but it was more like a small sprinkling of bacon bits. The sauce was kind of sweet and there was a lot of avocado. The latte was fine, but nothing special. The environment is really cool. It was a great place to relax and get some work done. Servers were friendly.
Everything I got was just ok. The coffee was ok and the one I personally liked the most was the hug latte(seasonal). Nothing special and nothing was good to me personally. We got a couple of pastries and avocado toast but nothing seemed to be good to us. Wanted to sit under the berni sign but the table was dirty and no one cleaned it. Eneded up cleaning it ourselves so we could sit there. Not sure where you park as I got lucky and found street parking right across the street.
Such a cute cafe, but if you’re in a hurry, not ideal. I felt so bad for the girl working, she was the only person doing both the coffee bar AND the food. Insane to expect an employee to keep up with the demand of both. Cute cafe and coffee was yummy, but be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes.
Enjoyed Italiano Indulgent Coffee, liked the coffee taste.

The interior is ok but they are understaffed. No one say hello, thank you. The leftover of previous customers were put on the side where you can see them. We waited 30 min for the matcha and avocado toast. For a breakfast? And the food is not as good either. My avocado toast looks like they just make the ingredients and throw everything in the box. We paid $40 for everything. Not a good experience overall. I hates it. I hope they do better.
I made the drive out from Aubrey, Texas to visit this coffee shop after hearing great things about their house-made syrups. When I arrived, I was immediately impressed by the beautiful décor and cozy ambiance — it’s a visually stunning space, especially on a quiet Sunday morning. The menu featured a tempting selection of drinks, including some creative seasonal offerings that had me genuinely excited to try something new. My husband ordered the cinnamon latte, while I opted for the Bernie Bean latte. Unfortunately, both drinks fell flat. Despite the promising descriptions, the flavor was underwhelming — we’d rate both lattes a 3 out of 10. As much as I loved the aesthetic of the space, the coffee itself didn’t live up to expectations. Sadly, it’s not a spot I’ll be revisiting.
In my opinion, this place is overpriced, staff often comes off cold and unwelcoming, and it takes soooo long to get your order compared to other coffee shops. I’d recommend making sure you watch what they charge. Today, again ( after not coming here for 2 + months because of the last bad experience) I had charges that didn’t make sense. I simply asked if I could add the +$1.00 bacon two times. After looking at receipt, they charged me $1.00 and then an additional $2.00?….The server Nancy said “that’s just how it is”…. I was shocked! It’s not about the money, it’s about principle. I live across the street and gave up on this place months ago. Finally decided to try it ONE more time. Never again. I’ll just continue walking 2 blocks to Starbucks where people are always friendly. The staff literally were talking about me in the kitchen while I waited for my food which left me feeling irritated this morning. Paid almost 20$ for a breakfast sandwich and coffee which means service should be great. Box and Brewed across the street is a great example of great customer service. Starbucks on Akard has great customer service… I have never in my life been to a coffee shop where staff make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them.. Again, just look at the food. Is that worth 19.48$

The atmosphere was cute, but the coffee was very disappointing and lacked flavor. Cute for instagram pictures but I would skip if you want a good latte.
This place opened up in the building I work in so I was pretty excited to be able to get coffee without leaving to go down the street or drinking what's in the breakrooms. The decor is pretty cool, music was nice and ambient, very calming. Service was not friendly, server came off bothered and pretentious. I asked for a dark roast and was told in an annoyed manner only light and medium roast is served, but that I could get an Americano. I said I'm not sure what an Americano is and again, server came off annoyed she had to explain what it was. Took forever to get a medium coffee and it was way over priced and not very good honestly, tasted like what we have in the breakrooms. Very disappointed and will not be coming back.
