We checked this place out recently for lunch and had a good experience. You can order at a kiosk or with an employee depending on how the line moves. There’s seating inside and outside on the patio. We tried the Chop House burger, Hot Chick and the bacon cheeseburger. We also tried the sweet potato fries and the truffle fries. My daughter had the kids grilled cheese with french fries. Everything had great flavor. The burgers tasted fresh and they were juicy. The truffle aioli on the Chop House burger was excellent. We also ordered some on the side to dip our fries into. The truffle fries were the group favorite. There’s only one bathroom and the side door to the patio/street is right next to it. We saw several un-housed people occupying the bathroom for a while during our time there. Other than that, we had a good experience.

Chop House is really great and cooked well. I’ve ordered the same thing for years and it’s my go to everytime I stop in Dallas. I wish they had a register and a self service option just because it could hold up the line if it’s someone’s first time.

Nice place in the heart of downtown Dallas. We were met by a nice young man at in the front making recommendations, and taking people food to their tables. The cashier was a different story! She was seriously lacking in customer service skills. A simple hello, a smile, a thank you, would have been nice. None of that! The food was good, we ordered a chophouse burger, fried chicken burger, and truffle fries. The bun was a little hard, but it was okay. The burger was good! The fried chicken sandwich was good, but left your tongue numb for some reason. The sauce they put on it I guess.. The place was pretty busy for lunch! I would try again, hopefully they would put someone who wants to be there at the front cashier, but I guess good help is hard to find these days! 4 1/2 stars for me due to the unfriendly cashier.

Chop House burgers are a little dry and not of the highest quality. They are prepared quickly, but in a city with a ton of excellent burger spots, this won't make the cut as a repeat visit. The fries and shake are also quite average.

Disappointed doesn’t even cover it. I order a bacon cheese burger cooked medium and my partner ordered as burger cooked medium as well. Both burgers came well done. They made the orders again. Lucky they got my partners order correct the second time (medium). However, my burger was still well done, dry and inedible. My burger was refunded with a half hearted apology from the staff/cooks. This used to be a favorite spot for my partner and my self. However, now it’s just a disappointment, who cannot handle something as simple as the temperature of a burger. Ingredient quality: Bacon is no longer “thick cut” and the bun dwarfs the thin meat patties. Lettuce was not fresh. Cool whip has replaced the whip cream on milk shakes, leaving an unpleasant greasy after taste with every sip. Milk shakes now have a quarter of the added ingredients. Exponentially, disappointing on too many levels to ever return. Chop house burger not only ruins food, but simple, yet treasured memories of a once great Dallas staple.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Chophouse Burger in Dallas. I spent good money expecting quality food and service, but what I received was the opposite. Chris, the manager, was rude and dismissive, and my order was made incorrectly multiple times. While waiting an additional seven minutes for a partial remake, I watched the kitchen repeatedly fumble, and more concerning, I observed Chris wiping his nose while cooking. This was alarming and raised serious food sanitation concerns. I asked the cashier to read my order back to me multiple times as I waited just to ensure that it was understood correctly. When the food finally was handed, part of my order had been sitting in the bag, sweating, during the wait—and it was still incorrect. At that point, I couldn’t even eat it. To make matters worse, when I attempted to call and explain the issues, Chris hung up on me. This place is overpriced for the level of care shown to customers, and the lack of attention to basic food safety is unacceptable. If you value your money and your health, I would strongly suggest reconsidering before eating here.

Extremely disappointing experience at Chop House Dallas. Chris, the manager, was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed zero interest in resolving a very reasonable concern. His attitude alone was enough to ruin the visit. To make matters worse, my food arrived cold and was not prepared as ordered. For a restaurant that presents itself at a higher standard, this is unacceptable. On top of that, there were serious concerns about kitchen cleanliness and food handling. When those issues were brought to Chris’s attention, they were brushed off instead of being addressed. Customer service starts at the top, and unfortunately that was very clear here. I left frustrated, uncomfortable, and with no desire to return. There are far better places in Dallas that take food quality, sanitation, and guest experience seriously.

I really wanted to like this place. The photos of the pictures online were amazing but the food just okay (for $30 bucks) and the service was horrible. The back where they cooked the burger was nasty and the lady on the fries literally kept on the same gloves after touching everything in the back of the restaurant. Not to mention that I waited for about 30 minutes of a cold burger and truffle fries that were so cold the truffle didn’t melt! This was my first time visiting and I would never go back!

I recently visited Chophouse Burger Bar and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The restaurant itself wasn’t particularly clean — the tables felt sticky and the overall atmosphere just seemed a bit neglected. What really ruined the visit, though, was the burger I was served. It was severely undercooked, to the point that blood was actually dripping from it. I didn’t notice until I was just about to take a bite, and when I checked the inside, it was clear the burger wasn’t done at all. It was honestly pretty shocking and made me lose my appetite completely. Definitely expected better food safety and cleanliness from a place like this.

Came at a busy hour so I could not eat in diner which is okay. I went to my car and the food was absolutely cold. The fries seem to be good but cold and I was not parked far from location. I ordered wings and it came with 3 skimpy wings they should specifically put 3 wings on the menu, I wasn’t expecting 6 wings for the price on the menu but at lease 4 and they where cold too. On top of that it took me so long to get my food but the time I got back to the car and was so disappointed I couldn’t even take the food back because I had spent all my change at the meter so I didn’t wanna risk getting a ticket. So it wasn’t the best experience for me. And I probably won’t be back unfortunately 😕
