I had their specialty spinach, chicken and alfredo pizza with pineapples on it and a regular cup of marinara sauce. The quality is very good. The crust is a good stiff, so it won't flop. The crust quality is on par. And the atmosphere is excellent. I love their classic music selection. It gives off a humble, positive and just good vibe. And the staff is courteous and kind. Highly Recommended.
Great food, fast service, nice staff, and good atmosphere. I got the beef ravioli and the pink sauce. Both were great but I would opt for a yummy tomato sauce to accent the rich beef flavor next time. They both were fabulous though.
Great atmosphere and welcoming staff! We ordered the gluten-free Mediterranean pizza and it was very good. Crispy crust and throughout delicious! Our waitress Daisy took great care of us and gave us a wonderful wine recommendation. It was on a Monday, they have half price bottles of wine. I will definitely be back!
We went to Campisi’s on a whim because we were in Dallas for the BMW marathon. It was so much fun! Pretty Christmas decorations and a super-nice waiter named Tory. The food was delicious, and not heavy. 5 stars!
Our server was very polite and attentive. Hubby and I were very satisfied. We were there for the KC Chiefs take over between the Dallas Cowboys including hubby’s birthday. The chocolate dessert was supreme. Thx to our server Raudel.
It was recommended to me to give this pizza place a try. I can’t say enough good things about this pizza place from the moment I walked in the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is warm inviting with plenty of seating and I was able to meet three employees Matthew the bartender, Jonathan one of the managers along with one other gentleman which all excelled in hospitality. I was able to give the Greek pizza a try and the pizza crust was just how I love it! thin and crispy crust! Service was exceptional and Matt the bartender shared lots regarding the extensive history on the Place which intrigued me, if you’re looking for a great atmosphere good pizza, friendly staff, give it a try definitely FIVE stars in my book!
Walked in and requested a table and they straight away cleaned it and set it up for me. Good service, amazing food. My husband doesn’t even like Italian food and said this was the best pizza he has ever had in his life! The server accidentally took my salad when I wasn’t finished and brought me a brand new one.
Over the years, three generations of our family have dined at Campisi's. Whether a family celebration, a birthday, or graduation party, you can always count on consistently good food. When our son got engaged, there was no question where he wanted the rehearsal dinner. We hosted 60 people in the larger Stone Street side of the Elm Street location. It had a nice ambiance, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. For starters we chose pizza, crab claws and toasted ravioli, and for dinner - lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, shrimp scampi and penne with chicken. Kim, the catering sales director, was easy to work with, and had great suggestions. All in all it was a wonderful evening and a great way to kick off a celebratory weekend!
A classic Italian restaurant experience! No rush; great ambience and décor; attentive and friendly service; and really delicious food. I ordered their porkchop special with a side of spinach, (And it was even better as leftovers!) and my son ordered a steak. If I'm back in Dallas, I'm definitely coming back here!

The pasta and pizza are delicious. I love the dark atmosphere and nostalgia. We grew up dinning here before football games and always leave full. The staff is always so kind!

This Italian restaurant serves really good food with fresh flavors and decent portion sizes. The ambiance is pleasant — cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal. The service is okay, but you do need to place your order at the counter, which makes it feel more like a self-service setup than full-service dining. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I’d definitely visit again for the food and atmosphere.

We ordered pizza and appetizer. The Pizza had a really good front. But the flavor was off.The calamari was mid. The Sunday service was not good and no clear direction on where to sit. We tried it maybe won't be back
We love Campisis and went downtown for a farewell dinner for our sailor who had to return to duty. Qhen you walk in, there is a completely empty area with no workers. We honestly didn't know if they were actually open. There was a broken upside down sign that said to order at the counter but no further explanation. We finally caught the eye of an employee who waved us to a very dark back room. There we had to order at the counter. The darkness and extensive menu made ordering at the counter difficult, we felt very rushed to hurry and make a decision. We had four adult entrees, an appetizer, and a kids pasta. I asked if the entrees came with bread and was told no, I needed to order cheese bread. The salad was horrible. So soaked in dressing the lettuce was a gross wilted consistency. The cheese bread was excellent, but imagine our suprise when the garlic bread for our meals came out. The Calamari was excellent as were all the padta dishes. At one point I asked a server where the restroom was, blank look, said bathroom, another blank look. and finally got pointed to the correct place when I asked banos? I ordered another half order of Calamari and received another full order, which was great, but we left some at the table. Honestly, we missed the service we are used to at Campisis. As a former secret shopper for Campisis, they would have done very poorly had this been a secret shop.
I visited this restaurant with five colleagues, making a party of six, and while the food was excellent, there were some aspects of the experience that could be improved. We had to line up and place our orders at the counter, cafeteria-style, and prepay for lunch. For a sit-down restaurant with such a nice ambiance, this felt out of place and took away from the overall dining experience. It’s something management should reconsider, especially for larger groups. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft candlelight setting a relaxed tone for the meal. Our table enjoyed a variety of appetizers—crispy toasted ravioli with tangy marinara, fresh and vibrant bruschetta topped with ripe tomatoes and basil, and perfectly fried calamari served with lemon wedges and a rich dipping sauce. The entrées were equally enjoyable: a beautifully grilled salmon with tender, flaky texture and flavorful sautéed vegetables, and creamy linguine with garlic bread that was indulgent and satisfying. With some adjustments to the ordering process, this could easily be a top-tier spot to return to.
The interior is really dark and makes it hard to see the menu and the food. They didn't have the veal (1 star off) so I ordered the salmon, which was pretty good. It came with a huge portion of overcooked pasta in an excessively spiced vodka sauce. Salad was just limp iceberg in a PLASTIC bowl. Shrimp scampi (appetizer) was ok but rather bland and not properly sauteed, not enough garlic (1 star off). Service from the waiter was great. Too bad they can't match the food with the quality of the service.
This was kind of a sad experience. We made a reservation weeks in advance for our large party. We had two tables of about 12. Table 1 was already having their entrees brought to the table before our table even got to order. It took an hour & a half before our food came. Then getting our bills was like a circus and two of us never were even given a bill. My daughter and I ordered the cheese ravioli. I got red sauce, she got the Alfredo sauce. My raviolis were hard, which is a shame because the filling was tasty. My daughter had a weird reaction to the Alfredo sauce, then talking with others who also had the same sauce they all seemed to agree something was "wrong with it." For two plates of not-good food and one alcoholic drink + tip I paid $70. Very disappointing experience. I would not dine here again.
I've been to Campisis 3 times since 2021 and each time has just been mediocre. The ambiance is certainly the best part given the old school Italian mobster vibe. The employees are all very nice and…
The server was very kind and attentive as well as the ambience was very warm and inviting. Ordered calamari for an appetizer...it was poorly seasoned and the marinara sauce tasted like it came from…
“What would you like to drink” “Are you ready to order” “Would you like a box” “Thank you” “That’s a new pen, you just have to roll it out” That’s all the server said to us. Not once did he ask if our food was good. I watched him stand at the bar and chat with his coworkers while we ate our dinner. He didn’t mention any specials or even ask about desserts. He refilled my drink wrong, and I had to grab another server to fix it. My husband and I left and had dessert at another place, with much better service. Everyone that worked he seemed miserable. Sorry that dinning here was an inconvenience to my server. The most he spoke to us was when we informed him that the pen didn’t work! He proceeded to argue it was a new pen and we needed to roll it out. We tried that…. We need a working pen to write a tip for him. Just go get us a new pen!
Visited this location about a week ago… the server had no knowledge of the happy hour specials. That’s fine. I’m here. I ordered. I paid. I tipped. This week… I call to confirm the happy hour specials. The person who answered the phone had no knowledge of the happy hour specials. Who is training the these people? Service 101…know the specials. Two stars bc the food is good.
Orders must be made at the counter. The food was okay. The usual dining experience with a waiter was absent though they did bring the food. The GI consequences to myself and my friend made me wonder about the quality of the ingredients. I think most people can do better elsewhere.
If you want cheap pizza, this is your place. If you’re up for a decent, Italian diner, look elsewhere. I got the original shrimp scampi. The worst pasta dish I had in years. The bread basket was not fresh. Chewy and cold. Wine was ok. It was maybe the most decent part of the whole experience. I’m not saying it was good, just that it was aligned with a $10 glass. The cheesecake was ok. Service quite mediocre. I’m surprised this places is still in business after all these years.
What ordered DoorDash to get pizza and calamari and after a few bites of pizza we saw a cockroach cooked into it. Who knows what was fried. No offer of a refund.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Campisi's today. We had a reservation at 3:30 PM--well within their posted lunch special hours of 11 AM to 4 PM--but when it came time to order, we we…
Food was bland. No type of seasoning at all. I tried the chicken Marsala and it was sweet and disgusting. 0/10 won't be back. It's definitely giving nursing home and retirement food

The worst service for in person and delivery. Save your money or at least go to Mockingbird location.

I’m really disappointed with my experience ordering pickup from Campisi’s. I placed a to-go order and my boyfriend went inside to grab it. The staff member handed him the bag without saying anything about supporting the bottom — so naturally he assumed the bag was sturdy enough to carry on its own. As soon as he walked out the door, the bag completely ripped open right in front of the entrance, spilling our food while other customers were walking in and out. It was embarrassing and frustrating. What made it worse is that no one from inside came out to check on him, offer to remake the food, or even apologize. If you’re going to use flimsy bags for takeout, at least warn customers or double-bag heavier orders. This was such a careless experience, and it honestly ruined what should’ve been a simple pickup.
Regrettably, this is the worst Italian food I've ever had- no exaggeration. Calamari was terrible, Veal Parm terrible, sauce terrible, service equally terrible. Disappointment is not a strong enough description. Nothing was even the least bit satisfactory. I'm at a loss trying to understand how bad this was, I've had frozen tv dinners better than what we were served here today. The only good thing was the atmosphere/decor. Highly do not recommend. Anyone who says this is good Italian food has never had good Italian food, sorry.
