I had the pleasure of dining at Wicked Butcher this Christmas Eve, and can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment my family and I stepped in, the beautifully decorated atmosphere surrounded us, creating a warm and welcoming western environment perfect for a holiday celebration. Our server, Maui, was the embodiment of professionalism. His welcoming demeanor and extensive knowledge of the menu made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Maui was very attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The culinary offerings at Wicked Butcher were nothing short of exceptional. From appetizers to the main course and dessert, every dish was expertly cooked and presented. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor, leaving us completely satisfied and truly filled. The drinks were served with the same care, perfectly complementing our meals and adding a touch of elegance to the evening. Additionally, I would like to commend the manager on duty who was friendly and approachable. It was a pleasure to speak with him, and we took the opportunity to share our praise for Maui's exemplary service, which clearly reflected strong leadership. Overall, the combination of fantastic food, impeccable service, and a beautiful atmosphere made for an amazing dinner and holiday experience. Wicked Butcher is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience to remember. I highly recommend it for any occasion. Thank you, Maui, and the entire Wicked Butcher staff, for your lovely hospitality! Ben Martinez
The food and service here was top tier. Our waiter was Kenny and he was incredible. We were celebrating a milestone so upon arriving we were greeted with some complimentary bubbly. Once we sat down, it was very fast service. We tried the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu which had lots of great options to choose from. I had a few glasses of the Details Cab and highly recommend. Definitely will be going back!
This is our new favorite restaurant in Dallas! Everything from the food to the service was outstanding! They greet you were free champagne to start the evening. The puff pastry is the bread you start with and it was a perfect blend of crispy and soft. We highly enjoyed the lobster bisque, steak, and mushrooms. We recommend doing the table-side butter for your steak, I promise you won’t regret it. They were even so sweet to give us a free dessert with a beautiful sparkler on it for our anniversary. The waiter we had was one of the friendliest we have ever had. We for sure will back soon!
There are many trendy and picturesque steakhouses in downtown and Dallas alike but lack in having the best food. There are also amazing steakhouses that are too dark and uninviting but serve amazing food. Somehow, Wicked Butcher in Dallas finds a way of breaking through both and shining in quality of food, drinks and my favorite, top tier customer service. From the doorman to the front desk to the waiters and staffed we walked by to get to the bar. Everyone is smiling and attentive to your needs. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly which is a welcome to the sometimes blunt and straightforward downtown bartenders you might encounter sometimes. For example the bartender overheard we were celebrating a big life event and brought us two glasses of champagne. A waiter walked by on his way to his table and noticed my wife dropped her cloth napkin and picked it up and handed her a new one. This night we only went for appetizers and drinks but both were amazing. The drinks had a nice pour but balanced and flavorful. The appetizers were large in portion size and the pita that accompanied the hummus tasted homemade. The hummus was perfect. While we skipped the steak this go round, if it's anything like its Fort Worth location, I expect to enjoy it as much as I did the rest of the menu tried. I look forward to trying more food and updating my review as I go. Don't overthink it and go! Update: happy hour is Monday - Friday 3-6pm discounts off beers
I loved my experience. My family and I tried this restaurant for Christmas dinner and were not disappointed. We started with the hummus, delicious. Then had the prime rib which was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant and if you go, ask for Kay, her service was delightful. The wicked butcher really made our Christmas dinner special!
Walked in for dinner and service was amazing. Our server was Maui who so attentive and so was everyone who came by. All the food and drinks we had were so good, especially the crudo. Recently went to a Michelin star restaurant and the food here was better. Very impressed, will be coming back. This restaurant should get a star or at least be on the guide!
Lisa, I want to sincerely thank you and your team at Wicked Butcher for providing an incredible experience. The event was absolutely flawless. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the ambiance perfect. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of your amazing dishes and the exceptional service. Thank you again for making the event so memorable!
Best meal I've had in a long time! From the complimentary champagne, chefs bite and dessert to the steak and salad everything was meticulously crafted and perfectly prepared. Even the water and bread service was thoughtful and elevated! Will be taking many more visits here in the future!
First class service. The shrimp were huge in the shrimp cocktail. The Yorkshire pudding (don’t know what y’all call it) was so light and fluffy and the charcoaled? black butter was unique. Of course, the steaks were cooked to perfection and love the torch used to melt the butter at the table
We stopped in here for drinks and appetizers at the bar and ended up finding a diamond in downtown Dallas! The service was extraordinary, from the valet, hostess, bartenders, and manager. The drinks were properly made and our appetizers properly prepared. I can't wait to go back and have a steak dinner because the ones I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. A+
Had been to come here for a long time and it didn’t disappoint! 1. Ambiance 10/10 very beautiful restaurant. Intimate and elegant ❣️ 2. Complimentary champers a nice touch 🥂 3. Service 10/10 our waiter was fantastic 4. Drinks 10/10 5. Food: 8oz steak 10/10, shareables- mushrooms and brussel sprouts 10/10, pork chop 6/10 it was difficult to cut and it was chewy but they comped the pork chop and gave us a dessert on the house 😊 Over all experience was fantastic! Definitely going back and hopefully their DJ in the lounge will be there.
I have driven by this place many times and thought it was a butcher shop, lol. I have never written a review for any restaurant I’ve visited, we simply don’t return. This place was amazing, we recently visited Mamani (Michelin Starred) and I would give that place a 3.5 stars. We had the amazing Maui (our server) guide us through the night as well as suggest other restaurants to visit for good food in Dallas. There is beauty in what is being done in this restaurant, I’m amazed they aren’t on the Michelin Guide. The level of service and dedication to food reaches the upper echelons of real food.
Our first time dining here! We opted to sit in the bar, great choice because we had the BEST waiter “Steven” please request him, you won’t be disappointed! From the bread service all the way through to the dessert he did not disappoint! Great time and great vibe and decor. The food is amazing Chef does so great things highly recommend the tuna crudo! Drinks were amazing!!! We will be back and will be asking for Steven!!
We celebrated our anniversary at Wicked Butcher and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The roasted cauliflower with hummus was excellent—loaded with flavor and surprisingly hearty. My wife ordered the shrimp cocktail and the calamari, both of which were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and genuinely delicious. We also shared the carpaccio as a starter, and it absolutely exceeded expectations. Even the house bread was on another level—warm, fragrant, and dangerously good. For my main course, I went with the Beef Wellington. It was well-prepared and satisfying. As a special touch, the team surprised us with complimentary glasses of sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary, which we truly appreciated. We finished with the mango crème brûlée, and it was phenomenal—bright, silky, and the perfect final note. Overall, great service, memorable dishes, and a really special evening. Highly recommended.
Had an amazing dining experience at Wicked Butcher in Dallas! The ambiance was elegant, the food was absolutely phenomenal, and the service was top-notch. Special shoutout to our waiter, Santiago he was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. His recommendations were spot on. Definitely coming back!
The ambiance was upscale and modern, perfect for a special night out. I tried their signature steak, and while the presentation was great, the meat was overcooked for my liking and lacked the tenderness I was hoping for. The sides, like the mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, were delicious and complemented the steak well.
I had such an amazing dining experience at Wicked Butcher in Downtown Dallas! The vibe is upscale and moody, perfect for a night out, date night, or a girls dinner like mine. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier. Our waiter was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the Wicked Margarita (so good!) and shared the Beef Carpaccio and Salmon Tartare as appetizers both were fresh and flavorful. For our entrees, we had the Beef Wellington and Ginger Miso Sea Bass, paired with the Corn Crème Brûlée and Sautéed Spinach. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. We ended the night with the molten chocolate soufflé and their ice cream presentation, which was not only cute but delicious. The ambiance, food, and service made this a 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Still in its soft opening stages, Wicked Butcher is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. If you loved the old Dallas Chophouse, this will be right up your alley. New takes on old cocktails (like a rum old fashioned), fancy versions of the things you love (truffle deviled eggs with gold flake and caviar), and a truly delicious beef wellington. Highly recommend this spot. Even better? You can dress up for date night or enjoy a more casual atmosphere in the bar.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the decor added an extra touch of elegance to the evening. The menu features a fantastic selection of steaks and seafood. Our waiteress Payton, truly elevated the experience. With a warm smile and expert knowledge of the menu, Payton made great recommendations and ensured our dining experience was flawless from start to finish. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. Highly recommend!
So I celebrated my 50th birthday on January 18, 2025 and I must say it was absolutely amazing. I had a party of 15 with a private room and Blake was our waiter and he was top tier just as well as the food and service. Daniel the manager was absolutely amazing as well and he made sure everyone was doing great. I recommend this restaurant. The service, the food, the ambiance was beautiful. Sally was also super amazing as well. Also they had mocktails as wel
I attended a 50th Birthday dinner here for my friend last night and I had a blast. The service was TOP NOTCH! One manager (I believe her name was Sally) was going out of her way to find glue someone in our party that broke her shoe. Our waiter Blake didn't miss a beat considering it was such a large group. We never waited long or had to repeat when we needed something. The GM Daniel consistently checked in on us all evening to make sure everyone was happy. All the food and drinks were absolute perfection. I enjoyed my time so much I am calling Monday to book my birthday reservation here and canceling where I had already reserved.
First visit and won't be the last! Our server Cedar was so sweet and attentive. I went in not knowing what to expect other than high quality food. I was pleasantly surprised by tester freebies [fried risotto balls, glass of bubbly, corn Brule (thank you Cedar!)] which were all delicious and truly indicative of the entrees to come. We got the oysters to start, then the lamb chops and a filet, with the mushroom and brussels sprouts as sides. Everything was cooked beautifully, and was incredibly tender. Fully intend to go back and spread the word. The rosemary popovers with rosemary butter were delicious too! Thank you again, Cedar!
Prior to traveling to Dallas, I had seen this restaurant online and knew it was close to the hotel we were going to be staying at. Instructions said to enter on Elm St. even though there is a large sign entry on the other side of the building. I guess they recommend Elm St. because there is parking right outside. We wiggled our way through the Coamerica building and found it. They asked us if we had been in before and we said no. Our server’s name was “Cedar” and she was great. They first brought these gigantic and delicious rolls or “popovers”. They are these massive crunchy delicious herby rolls. We ordered drinks, the Beef Wellington, the Butternut Squash Soup, and the Chocolate Soufflé. I ordered the soufflé ahead of time because I know they take time to make. The chocolate soufflé was what I initially saw on the menu that got my attention. Our drinks were perfect, the Wellington was the best I’ve ever had, and they showered us with small bites and even champagne in between courses. The chocolate soufflé ended up tasting like a delicious brownie but I was excited because I had never had a chocolate one before. All in all, this place was amazing and I cannot recommend it enough. If you are in downtown Dallas, this is the place to go. They spoiled us rotten. Our whole experience from start to finish was impeccable. I don’t come to Dallas very often, but when I do, this is where I would want to dine.
The food was excellent! My son was treating me for dinner. The filet mignon was the most tender I have ever had. Wicked Sundae fantastic. Customer service excellent!! Also they supposed us with complimentary chocolate cake and champagne!!!
This place put a smile on my face! I would recommend the Beef Wellington. The mac n cheese was great as well. The service is phenomenal. I will be back to try more of the Wicked Butcher!
Went to Wicked Butcher to celebrate my birthday and had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the atmosphere made the night even more memorable. I truly enjoyed every part of the evening and would highly recommend it for a celebration or a great night out.

We had a great dinner date! We live in Dallas and ventures out to try a new restaurant. It did not disappoint! Chelzee was very attentive and friendly, checked in with us frequently. We loved Sally! She loveswhat she does and made us feel at home! Highly recommend Wicked Butcher!
My husband and I came in here for apps and drinks. Ended up staying for dinner as well! Cario the bartender was great! Amazing drinks and really good recommendations on food. Will definitely be back to have Cario’s drinks! Thank you Wicked Butcher 😁

This place is fantastic! Visited once with work colleagues and came back with a client two weeks later after a great experience. The food was excellent, and the staff did a wonderful job. They were also very flexible when our reservations needed to be updated during each visit. Looking forward to returning when I am back in Dallas!
Me and my wife visited this establishment which came highly recommended by friends of ours. We were immediately greeted with complimentary champagne, nice touch. The service was amazing but the food stole the show. I had a ribeye which was cooked to perfection and my wife had a beef Wellington which she said was spectacular. Our server Kay was very attentive and she gave great recommendations. Will definitely be back!
Isabella, the bartender, and all staff were so welcoming and attentive as soon as we walked through the door. They seated us immediately, and took really great care of us throughout the entire dinner. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and he hasn’t stopped smiling due to the kindness and consideration of the Wicked butcher staff. The food is amazing, the flavors are amazing, and the atmosphere is so intimate and cool. Please consider wicked butcher when in the downtown Dallas area. They will treat you like royalty for a regular man’s salary.
Had the best dinner at the Wicked Butcher. We felt so spoiled and service was top notch. Our server Cedar was amazing and there were so many little gestures that made this evening feel so special. We started out with the dressed oysters (so good!) and the bone marrow, and then shared the Cowboy Ribeye with the creamed corn (a must) and the Brussels sprouts (a much needed green). The tableside truffle butter is not to be missed. A great wine selection and tasty cocktails (I had the Golden Hour which was amazing). For dessert Cedar brought us the banana pudding and OMG it was so good. Cannot recommend enough if you're in the Dallas area!
I always have a phenomenal time at Wicked Butcher. Parking is easy (beneath building). Start off at the bar— the mood, decor, and lighting are perfect for a night out. Their specialty cocktails are very good. Moving on of the dining room, it has a quiet steakhouse vibe. The service is outstanding and consistent. I always order the same thing, the Wellington. It’s perfection, something unique I can’t get elsewhere and really look forward to.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Wicked Butcher in Dallas, and overall it turned into a truly five-star experience. We had made our reservations more than two months in advance, before the restaurant announced that the evening would require a $175 per person preset menu. While I completely understand special holiday offerings, I personally wasn’t going to eat $175 worth of food, so I asked to speak with a manager before we decided to leave and explained the situation. I cannot say enough about how accommodating and professional he was. He genuinely listened, understood our concern, and went above and beyond to make sure our evening still felt special and seamless. That level of customer care is rare and so appreciated. The ambiance was romantic and upscale, the service attentive, and the food we ordered was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the manager’s exceptional hospitality, our Valentine’s dinner was memorable for all the right reasons. We will definitely be back!

The ambiance is top-tier, especially if you can grab a seat in the room right off the patio. It’s stunning and has just the right vibe. There’s even a private party room if you’re planning a group dinner or celebration. Their drink menu is stacked with options, including a solid selection of mocktails (major points for thinking of us non-drinkers 👏🏽). I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the steak tartare for the first time. We also ordered the steak, along with creamed spinach, green curry salmon, and the corn crème brûlée. Service was attentive, the atmosphere was great, and the food was flavorful and well-prepared. Just a heads-up, this spot will run up the tab, so come ready.
Cocktail selection and execution were fab. Seriously... I could just go here for those and the appetizers. The smoky old fashion... chewy goodness. The Don Julio... super smooth. Wicked Margherita was also yummy. Honestly, we loved all of our cocktails 🍸 and they were pretty. We were also impressed with the steak tartar GF version. They topped with caviar, too. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the himachi 😋 as well. Think that was the table favorite. Of course, I did appreciate the champagne they brought to the table, too. Kimberly, our server, was awesome. Knew the menu, on top of it, and seemed to go above and beyond. Definitely shout out to her. So... why the 4? Steaks were okay. Not great. Not a lot of seasoning. Not a fan of the butter cured, fois gras topped specialty either. And I do like fois gras. The other steaks though everyone had generally same feedback. Okay. Entrees were saved by the sides, though... creamed corn brulee was interesting, and I'd get again. Desserts 🍨 were fantastic, though, to finish meal. All in... good experience. Highlights were cocktails and apps... and their wicked sundae.
First time at Wicked Butcher and I wanted it to be a superb experience. Positives: service definitely great, bread and butter amazing, welcome champagne great touch as well amuse bouche and freshly sliced cucumber/lemon for your water. Salmon tartare was amazing and yellowfin tuna also good. Negatives: 1. Hostess stand very unwelcoming. As you walk in you have to look up to see anyone from behind the booth unless you walk up a couple of steps and stand on stairs to communicate with the hostess (awful design). 2. Food: they lost me with beef tartare which was served on a deep fried piece of bread (absolutely dreadful). Tomahawk I ordered was very bland and NOT medium rare as I requested as well as mushrooms and creamed spinach. Special butter did not provide much more flavor either. Sea bass was very good but worst part of the meal was extremely salty souffle. Creme brulee was on point.
I can't give this caliber of restaurant 5 stars with a steak cooked like I had. I had the beef tartare, which was absolutely perfect. Followed by the surf n turf. The lobster tail was perfect. But the steak was cooked uneven. The pink HAS to be centered. Not a mistake a restaurant that's $200 per person can make. The drinks were delicious. That staff was amazing. Definitely elegant in every aspect. Would definitely recommend. The steak was most likely a one time mistake. But still a mistake.
We tried Wicked Butcher last night and the experience was amazing. We didn’t expect the complimentary touches so that was a nice surprise. For starters, we had the crudo and Caesar salad. The crudo was the best crudo we’ve ever had! The salad was great too. Unfortunately both our steaks weren’t cooked correctly, but we didn’t want to complain given the experience itself, including the service, was so good. We both ordered MR - one steak was undercooked and one was severely overcooked (close to MW). Sides were good but taking a star off since they’re a steakhouse and that should be the one thing that isn’t messed up! Overall, really good experience and we will definitely return
Really fun spot with a great ambiance. The champagne on arrival is such a nice touch. I also loved the complementary bread! The food was really excellent but the drinks were not - my group ordered dirty martinis and after a long wait we got classic with what tasted like sweet vermouth(?) I will likely be back because that’s an easy fix :)
Food was delicious. Portions are great and the vibe was fun. Got the sea bass and some side dishes which was tasty and the sauce was thick and flavory. The mango creme brulee was not the best I had. But the chocolate tart was phenomenal. Dark chocolate ....
Looking for dinner after sightseeing in Dallas downtown, find this restaurant on Google.. luckily got parking close by on the side of the road. Martin as the bartender that night was serving us as well, professional, friendly and attentive.. the fried calamari and oysters appetizers were excellent, squash soup little sweet, willington beef so delicious, the sirloin steak (vividly remember the name) so tender and delicious. The beef pasta way to salty and not taste good... the rest of it was enjoyable and delightful..
Wicked Butcher is a very unique place to try out. The cocktails are on point and well presented. But I will point out a few things. You aren't able to order appetizers until everyone is ready to order their meal. I found it very odd for them to cut my rib eye into strips. Who does that??? Even though it was medium, the cut was cold, salty, and tasted charred. I'm not sure if that was because it was dried aged? My friend who ordered the rack of lamb was very disappointed. It basically came out raw. Although he didn't complain about it, he made several comments to the waiter, and nothing was done to correct or make him happy. We spent a good penny at this location for them to brush something off like that. It's unique, but in the future, if I come back, it will only be for drinks and appetizers, sides, and o' the free bread.

We were in a private room where the ambiance was smooth and the service staff were amazing! When my wife and I received our meals we were underwhelmed. I had the miso sea bass and she had the salmon. My dish was flavorful but my fish was chewy and tough to eat, especially given the standard that was set by every other aspect of this experience.
Wicked Butcher is a fine, serviceable date-night restaurant, but it didn’t fully deliver on execution during this visit. The steak was the main issue. It arrived just warmer than room temperature and couldn’t melt the truffle butter. Our server handled it well and even brought a torch from the kitchen to fix it tableside, which was appreciated, though not something you expect to need at this level. Service overall was good and attentive, but nothing stood out as memorable. Valet parking was around $19, which feels standard for downtown. The table and some of the dishes were not as clean as they should have been, and that pulled the experience down more than anything else. Sides were solid. Nothing you’ll think about the next day, but also nothing you’re likely to send back. The wine list was decent and slightly above average, with enough range to find something enjoyable. The ambiance felt like a restaurant that once had more energy than it does now. Still pleasant, just a bit dated. At roughly $125 to $150 per person without wine, the price point was acceptable, though not compelling. This is an average date-night option rather than a special-occasion destination. Despite the critique, nothing here was terrible. We would go back, but only when our usual spots start to feel stale.

I want to start by saying the servers for our party were very friendly. I came in with a friend for her birthday party and it was a party of 10 but there weren’t many other parties present during our reservation. I ordered an 8oz filet Mignon cooked medium well. They served me a well done steak and tried to tell me mine was much smaller than everyone else’s because of how I wanted mine prepared. I cut the center open and when they saw it was overcooked and not what I requested, they took it back . My entire group ate almost half of their entrees and sides before my new steak was received. It came out Medium instead of medium well. They offered to take it back and cook it longer but I refused to send it back a third time. I ate the edges of the steak and left the raw center on the plate. At no point did anyone offer anything to make up for the experience or remove the steak from our hefty tab. I honestly should have returned it due to it not being prepared properly. I never had an issue paying for fine dining but when the dining is subpar I feel cheated out of almost $200.
Just don’t do it! Go to the Fort Worth location before coming here. We previously had a wonderful dining experience in December at the Fort Worth location. This time was reputably of lesser quality. First, when we arrived, neither of the hostesses at the hostess table could bother to look up from their phones and acted as if we weren’t there. Secondly, although our waitress was very sweet, she wasn’t very attentive when taking our order and didn’t ask how I wanted my lamb and it arrived very much undercooked. Please see photos, this is unacceptable considering how much it is. The lamb I had at the Fort Worth location was exceptional as was the service. We received Champagne as well as some bread along with some samples from the chef in Forth worth. The bolognese pasta also wasn’t very good. THIRD and worst of all… the bar area and booths, where they sat us was extremely chaotic. Just utter chaos.. there were so many plates and glasses being broke since the moment that we sat down. Not only that, but one of the bartenders was using his vape several times and also appeared to be having a “crash out” episode as it seems like his bar manager was requesting that he turn the music down and he was arguing with her. Now, we don’t know this for sure if she was a manager, but even if she was a customer that was out of line. And he kept turning the music back up extremely loud disrupting the experience of several groups that were still dining. Seems like he’d be better suited to work at a rave type of bar on Greenville. My husband stated he’d never be back and I agree. We’d rather make the trip to Fort Worth or skip wicked Butcher altogether. This was a mess!
The restaraunt's ambiance was lovely and our server was excellent for such a large party. There were 2 tables in the private room However only one of the tables enjoyed there food. I didn't have the pleasure to be on the table enjoying the overcooked salmon that I ordered medium. My husband's Chilean sea bass must have been from another country because it didn't flake upon entering the fork. Instead a thorough chew was in order. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend.
Being a dry age enthusiasm this place definitely has its potential. The store front entrance does give you the classic vide and high end feeling as well as the glass see through kitchen. However the steak and food is definitely not over looked by professionals with a head chef. Quality is not there, server is lack of proper traning although the area manager is bit better. Finally the bar is definitely a chill spot with decent drinks i would recommend the bar area. The food wise its definietly need some improvement. lastly the valet is completly disaster. Unprofessional lack of greeting feels unsafe to hand them the key. No basic knowledge of being a valet espeically the valet manager. I would highly recommend to make a big change.
