No complaints here. Although the drive thru does take while the best thing to do is call an order in. The lady who answers will tell you to "come in now if you want". The tasteless rice somehow compliments the food very well and I always enjoy eating it for some reason. Overall good place!

There’s a reason we’ve been coming here for 20+ years. Following them from their old location to their new spot. The food never disappoints and the owner always treats us like family and always remembers my mom and dad. Expect long waits during peak times bc everything is made fresh and the clientele is loyal. This is the only place in Dallas that my family absolutely loves! We moved to Balch Springs but will drive to China Bowl just for their amazing food, customer service is great too and we love the owners. The owner always remembers us and knows my husbands order 😂 when we call in she knows it’s us just by the order. Makes you feel special to know she cares so much about you as a customer, she always asks how we’re doing

Our first time here and it was better than we thought. Ordered chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice and orange chicken. My daughter is a picky eater and she loved the orange chicken. Our food came out quick and hot. Also ordered strawberry tea and it was good. It was nice and clean. We will be back!

I LOVE this place!!! Everyone in there is sweet, but it was really nice to see the Mother of China Bowl Express tonight. She is just as cute and sweet as she was years ago (smiling). There was a time a couple of years ago where it closed due to a fire, but she still answered that business phone number and spent time talking with her customers like family. I know me and my little sister bugged the mess out of her...lol. Her prices have only increased by a few dollars in over 20 years, and she still gives the same heaping serving in the regular size styrofoam. My favorite dish is the Happy Family🤗😋. While China Bowl Express had to wait for insurance to do repairs, I tried a couple of other places. Not only did they use the tiny to-go cartons, their prices were nearly doubled, and they couldn't match the taste, not even close. Right now, I am totally satisfied and still have plenty to eat later. My Happy Family was Just Right, and my sons Fried Egg Rice and Vegetarian Rolls were Nice🤗. Thank you, China Bowl Express Family! Had a craving....found this place and am so glad I did. We love they have a drive thru. It was our first time here and they took time to expalin what dishes were and that they can add or take away anything we would like. We got sesame chicken, garlic shrimp and special over rice. All made fresh and very tasty. Amazing customer service and delicious food. Oh and the egg rolls are spot on too! Got a new place and cannot wait to try other dishes!

The food is good. However I've never had a place chargee for refills on my drink. They wanted $3 for a refill. I already paid $3 for the drink and it was a lot of ice with a little soda. This is Texas and summertime. Not given refills is a deal breaker. I guess the way I see it is if they are that hard up for money who knows what else they do to save a buck.

It's Really Delicious!!! I always get either the Combo fried Rice, or Vegetable Fried Rice. Today I got Veg Fried Rice+++ extra veg$2 +++ add $2Shrimp. Egg drop soup, A Wonderful Tasteful passion fruit bobba Smoothie 24OZ, & A refreshing 16oz freshly tasted squeezed Lemonade. All for $23.27 beautiful prices. Beautiful tasting food. You're only serving in your little area with drive thru? It's 2026!! Your customers need more! Chinese food places deliver!! Please use Door Dash, Uber Eats. People are willing to pay $$$ for YOUR food delivery. Deliver only 10 orders per day @ average $40 per order. That's $12,000.00 per MONTH minimum! Best food in DFW and only a handful of people have access to it. It's frustrating for many of us! We will just keep giving the thousands of $$$$ to Skillman Wok.

I’ve been eaten or take out for many times and I love their good food and it’s a very good price with that portions. We always bought two main entrees and totally enough for 3-people family. I know the beef price is getting more and more expensive but they never reduce the ratio of beef… Either Lo Main or the combination fried rice, always can smell the wok ..鍋氣, Asians favorite smell, means fresh / Cooked just right. The restaurant owner, a nice Taiwanese Lady, she is so sweet and with good memories, we called her Mom… she always smiled to all customers… We love this American Chinese food a lot❤️ BTW, the restaurant is very clean and no smell greasy…

I'm going to start this review with the service; the owner and employees are always on point with getting your order right and putting the food out as soon as possible. The dining area is clean. The food quality is good. One of the best things to get here is the Chu Chu Beef (literally beef on a stick); it is tender, juicy, crispy, and sweet. The egg rolls are crispy and well stuffed. One of my personal favorites is the Beef with Broccoli, which is savory with very tenderized beef. My spouses favorite is the Orange Chicken, which he describes as sweet zesty and crunchy with hints of spicy chili. To wrap up this review, it's pretty good food for a decent price.

Absolutely amazing experience here! Food - superb, made fresh & everything was delicious!! Service - great. Everyone was nice and we got our food super fast. It's not high class but everything was nice and comfortable; clean and nice atmosphere. Price - very well priced for everything we got. Also if you drink a lot, prepay for a refill because they charge $1.50. It was our second time visiting and we totally will come back more, worth the 15 min drive. (Hot& sour soup, egg rolls, sesame chicken & sweet and sour chicken)

First time trying this place out on the way home from work. This was hands down the best Moo goo gai pan I’ve had in a long time 🤤 they’ve definitely earned my business and the drive thru is a big plus. It’s affordable and the portions are huge. You get two meals out of one entree. I would highly recommend.

Our family really likes China Bowl, however the past few visits, they have been very stingy with the meat. If I order combo fried rice and add $2 extra shrimp and $2 extra chicken and it comes with the same amount as not adding the extra meat, they need to do the right thing and refund the customer their money, why pay for something I'm not getting? It looked very scarce, so I ordered just an original combo fried rice, and it was identical to the one I paid more for and no one would give me an answer and they would not refund the fee paid for more meat. Bad business ethics.

We've tried this place a couple of times when we occasionally go washing next door, but I guess we're just used to Rice Bowl across the street. Really wanted to give a more positive review, but just our honest opinion. Food was not nasty, just not as tasty as expected. We tried different things each time. It's not our first choice, but doesn't mean it won't be yours. It's worth a try. Maybe you'll enjoy it more than my wife and I.

Yesterday my husband ordered fried rice combination without salt or seasoning, orange chicken without flavor, and crab rangoon which was just cream cheese, by the way, and it was already spoiled.Definitely not recommended. The food has no flavor. I don't think we'll be eating here again.

Wow has their food quality gone down. Used to really like this place but this time the chicken that they used in their chicken dishes was pretty bad. Their service is fast and friendly but with the drop in food quality it just doesn't work it now. Neither of us were able to finish our lunch and our guest had a difficult time finishing his as well. It's very clean, and the service is friendly, and they have a large menu as well as boba if you're into that.

Overall this is a place we will not return to. One of the egg rolls had a hair in it. The egg rolls were not cooked all the way on the inside. The rangoons were burned. I had Mongolian beef and it was mostly onions with very few pieces of beef - before)after photos attached. The hot and sour soup was not terrible but didn't have the flavors I was hoping for, but did have tofu, etc. The flavor was not anything that stood out in any of the dishes.

It used to be good but not anymore The owner charges you for a lemon 1$ and a To-go box 1$ plus they refuse to give you extra napkins I will not come back again it was my favorite place, although the girls that work there are super nice

I tried this restaurant today based on the comments here . I was disappointed. The brown sauce watery no substance nor seasoning. The vegetables were cooked well like I requested but the sauce is what makes the dish. The meat was scarce but for the price I can’t complain. I will try them again with NO expectations but to see if maybe today was just a bad day for the sauce. My hopes will be that the brown sauce will NOT be watery next time. You can not try to stretch the sauce!!!! That’s the reason I beat the vegetables. Hospitality was the best!!!!!!!

I went to get lunch at 10:35 AM. The guy at the window who took my order was very rude. Obviously, they don’t give names, but it was at that time. This guy took the order He had a goatee. You know who u are Have better Customer Service and don’t argue with the customer, especially when they were just confirming their order. We take the time out to spend our money with you guys and for you to make us feel like it was our fault the order was wrong and then be rude. That’s bad customer service!

Generous with the review First came in and asked for a paper menu in which the girl replied rudely “no” accompanied by her rolling her eyes. I didn’t want anything after that. My grandmother however got her usual. What y’all can do better is hire people who actually wanna work and will be pleasant. ✌🏻

Food is not as good as it used to be,now less flavor dry meat... On top it got to pricey,,,and you can't even get a to go box for a full order cuz you have to pay for it... Sooo people star bringing your own containers just in case you have left overs to take home. Not worth my drive all the way from West Worth TX to a place that used to have a great service and food

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. They completely messed up my ordered and the owner basically told me she didn’t care and would not fix my order. She also stated she didn’t care if I came back or not.

To be completely honest I was originally surprised 😮 by the total of $70 the food wasn't bad though the service was my 2 friends and I ate there while there one got their glass if tea refilled 3 times I asked for a refill on a fountain dr pepper that I paid 4 dollars for originally and was told it would cost another $1.50 or $2.00 for the refill we ate there and we where still eating after spending $70 on food I ask for a refill on a fountain drink and you try to charge more but are more then willing to refill the tea

I had a long day of work and getting things sorted out in my day. My wife has become sick and wanted to have something to eat there, I have never seen the place open at night. So they were open and took my order, yet somehow just because I had an issue finding my wallet. Not more than two minutes later drove back up not even leaving their drive thru circle mind you, and was told sorry kitchen was closed. If people ask me where to go for good Chinese food, I won't be mentioning this place. You can't just imagine a customer didn't order something and dismiss him.

I was so excited about this place opening back up ,the food was good before it burned down then after 2 yrs I was finally able to get some combination lo mein because every time I’d pass by the lines were always so long anywho food sucks now , no flavor in it whatsoever, I added all the chili & soy sauce I could & it was still so bland. Your better off with the Chinese place across the street.

Honestly the worst Orange Chicken i have ever tasted. The sauce was extremely watery, and the steamed rice was too dry. I gave it so many tries I'd tell myself maybe its cuz they were busy but no its disgusting every time. Back then it was amazing now its nasty. Never coming here again.

Just walked in to order diner and witnessed how the owner (elderly Asian lady) yelled at their employees. She did not care the cashier was taking my order. She abruptly interrupted me and started yelling at the cashier. Horrible customer service by the owner. I feel bad for the staff that works there. She has no respect for them or her guest.

This was my go to place for that quick crave of fast food, unfortunately that has changed. The food used to be amazing, I would always order the R26 beef with vegetables spicy, it had a special taste that made it superior to other places, but not anymore. I was waiting for 1 year and 6 months in order to taste that delicious food again, but was disappointed so badly that the Rice Bowl express (place Infront of Fiesta Mart actually tastes better than China bowl, which is shocking). Not only did I wait for 1 hour and 30 minutes in line, but the quality of the food decreased, the quantity of the food decreased, the R26 plate that I get was missing a lot of vegetables that it once had and it also was missing the sauce that made it special, the price of the plate increased, andthe size of the plastic container place decreased. It seems that there are in desperate need of more workers, they are falling behind on orders, and seem to be rushed when making the food, that's why the quality has significantly decreased. I will give this place one more try in like 2 weeks, to see if there has been any actual changes because if there isn't, then unfortunately my review is going to have to remain as a 1 star and I will never return to the place I once called my favorite fast food place ever.

My sweet wife and I stopped in for dinner after church, ordered at the counter and sat down. Only one entree was brought and after staring at it for a while and watching it get cold I got up to inquire of the other one so we could begin eating. After awkwardly standing at the counter waiting for the rest of our dinner the waitress breezed past me with it in handand sat it on our table. I thought, am I invisible? I returned to my wife and the by now stone cold half of dinner. We split the warm, just delivered entree. It was absolutely terrible. Vegetables were completely raw. Just then a very aggressive older Chinese woman marched over attempting to explain that only one dish was brought so it would'nt get cold sitting in the kitchen awaiting preparation of the other one?? Heat lamp anyone. She got louder as I explained that neither my wife nor I were going to sit there and eat in front of the other one awaiting the rest of our food. At that point three employees walked over and handed us 2 take out boxes! WE put our food in the boxes, got up and left. We are older people, were nicely dressed and just thought, never again as we drove home. On returning home I poured each of us a glass of wine and made a nice dinner. I would strongly suggest that you save yourself the frustration we experienced one Saturday night and avoid this place.

Ordered food and they forgot a whole plate out of three. It's one thing when a place forgets appetizers, but 10 bucks of food missing is a pain. Of the plates I did get most are just an inappropriate amount of rice and vegetables versus the actual entree. The tips also don't go to employees. Very rude and argumentative people behind the counter. I came in 30 mins before closing and was told this numerous times. I did not feel welcome and that I was a burden. I've bought better Chinese food from Wal-Marts frozen section. Very displeased with this establishment and will not ever return! * update to China Bowl this was my first (and last) visit. I have worked in the food industry for many years including my eight years of service in the Army. I've never been rude to a customer coming in close to closing time. If your dinning room closes at 9:30 p.m. you should put that on your front door instead of the advertised time. As we say in America China Bowl "the customer is always right." Customer service is a great way to get return business. Not once was I told that the dinning room closed at 9:30. I was informed that the establishment closed at 10:00 p.m. numerous times.

Went there for dinner tonight, trying to find our "go to place" with high hopes from the reviews... unfortunately, the fried rice was not fried, it was just brown rice.. The orange chicken was barley breaded and was a bunch of huge chunks on a bed of broccoli. Could see someone behind near the kitchen eating a wing and did not wash his hands.. Husband found a hair in his food as well, will not be returning.

Went to China Bowl on Monday (12-23-2024). I ordered takeout. When I got home and opened the food container, they had not given me what I ordered. So, I looked at the food and decided to eat what they gave me. I was enjoying the meal when I found a paper clip in the entree. A paper clip could cause damage in numerous ways. It could cut your mouth, chip a tooth, get lodged in your throat, puncture your intestine, etc... I immediately called to speak to the manager to complain. He proceeded to tell me that they had no paper clips in the restaurant and was doubtful of my experience. He tried to act butt-hurt because I complained and threatened to call the health department. He finally agreed to refund my money and reluctantly gave a half-assed apology. I've been eating here for years, but won't be back.

Not good at all. Fried rice is bland and no vegetables in it by far the worst part was the rice. Sesame Ckn and Chow Mein were not very good. I won’t be coming back to this spot. Chow mein I don’t even think can be classified as chow mein? Both entrees were served in what could be described as a soup. It’s a small spot that has a drive thru. Good selection of bottled drinks.

Asked for a substation on the rice and the cashier was very nice and told me they don’t do that BUT here cakes the owner (I’m guessing) telling me very loudly WE DONT DO THAT, our prices are already low. Just went for an order today, went through the drive through and after I pay and am returned my card, the lady comes back and says, "you know your card was canceled the last time you ordered here" (which was a few weeks ago) and I was confused because that day I wasn't told about any declines or cancelations I was just given my food everything was fine as far as I knew. She began explaining how they had a new girl that day and she accidentally canceled my order and basically gave me the food for free. I was thinking that would be the end of it since after telling me this she closed the window and went back inside. After a few minutes she returned still without my good but had a couple of receipts asking if I was going to make the payment for the canceled order. I said "No, why would I have to pay for that??" genuinely confused. I get her logic but she started saying how her boss has been asking her about it, im assuming they got in trouble for not processing the payment so she's trying to cover her butt by making me pay for it. Regardless, I refused stating that I understood but its crazy unprofessional to try and shake me down for my money for a meal that was placed weeks ago. I didn't knowingly take "free food" that was a mistake on the employees part. Finally after me trying to sympathize and explain how I wasn't trying to be difficult she went on to say, "don't you feel bad for eating free food?" trying to guilt me. At that point I was done I told them to forget the food if it's an issue but she closed the window on me brought me my food and gave me the most stank attitude while closing the window. I used to love this place growing up , the food is fine its just that one situation that has forever put a bad taste in my mouth.
