Great local gem. The service was great. The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. We were searching for a new pizza joint and wanted to give this restaurant a try. Thanks to the other reviews we expected to have a great experience and we did. I ordered the calzone, my partner ordered the shrimp scampi and we ordered a slice of pizza to share. Both dishes were YUMMY and a great portion size. The pizza was delicious, a large slice and we will definitely try a whole pie in the near future. My partner has already been back to get another order of the shrimp scampi. This restaurant will be a staple in our rotation.

Been going here since about qi yrs now when they were at Casa Linda plaza. It's the best food ever, best prices even in this inflation mide we are currently in. Slice I of the world pizza and a Greek salad is the best!

I never write reviews but had too because this place was so good. A group of 3 of us went and ate ourselves into a food coma. Best Italian food I’ve had in a long time!! Cesar salad and fried calamari are to die for. The calzones are ginormous, the waiter laughed with us because we filled up on appetizers before our food came out. Pricing was great too, 3 appetizers, 1 salad, 3 entrees and 2 desserts for under $70! Highly recommend

We tried this place last night for the first time and were blown away! 🤩 This was using DoorDash to deliver so the food took at least 30 minutes to get to us. The pizza managed to stay crispy and absolutely delicious. The whole family said it was the best pizza they had ever had so today for a late lunch we made the trek over to try it in person. Y’all…10 times better! The crust is soft yet crispy and the sauce so tasty. We tried the pizza with the works, a cheese pizza, and pepperoni. All of them sooo good. The calamari was next level and the house Italian dressing really flavorful. 😋 We are looking forward to coming back to try the pasta. 🍝 The staff was also super friendly and the restaurant very cozy - it would make a great date night place. 💕✨

The pizza and pasta is great. I went here two days in a row for the pizza slices and the lasagna. The mozzarella they use for the lasagna is so creamy and smooth, really good quality. I got the supreme pizza slices and they were so huge and delicious 🤤 . I can't see myself anywhere else for pizza and pasta! Oh yeah and the service was really good, nice people.

SO GOOD!! Literally so good that I’m writing a review as soon as we left the parking lot! We had fried ravioli, a slice of cheese pizza, chicken alla panna, lobster ravioli, cheese ravioli in white sauce, and a pepperoni calzone. Everything was soooooo good. The lobster ravioli was stuffed with lobster and also had a pile of lobster bits and tomato on top. The chicken alla panna was a huge portion with a ton of mushrooms. The cheese ravioli came out in a hot stone plate that my teenager said was ‘so fancy’. The bread was really good too. We got just a slice of cheese pizza to see what their style was and we loved it - ‘New York style’ so says my husband and the menu. Thin but soft under crust with a fluffy border crust, light sauce, huge slice. This will be our new go-to Italian place for a while!!

Everyone loves Lovers! Or everyone needs too… we used Lovers as our Wedding event caterer of choice. The food was amazing and everyone kept complimenting how delicious everything was! When we picked up the food.. the restaurant staff helped load and were very courteous. The price was amazing for the amount of food we received. Don’t forget about Lovers for your events or holidays!

Lovers is THE BEST pizza and pasta in East Dallas. We've moved recently and I still will make the trip across town to get the chance to go to lovers. The pizza is so good, even a plain cheese, and the calzone and Stromboli are also amazing. Best of all, it's a great deal. Really affordable for both the food and delivery. Truly a great local gem to have around. Dining in is great too- it has an old school feel to it. Everything about lovers is the best. Can't recommend it enough.

First time coming and I have to say the service was great, the place was clean and the food was awesome! Not sure if it was the owner or manager but he seemed very involved and even brought me a sample lobster ravioli which was good BTW, I thought that was very nice. We have been going to Eddie’s Napolis for years but they recently shut down. We decided to try this place out today. I was very hesitant but the food is delicious! Everything was so good! (The seafood pasta does not compare in size and amount of shrimp and clams as Napolis for only a $3 difference) Although it was still very yummy. The Calzone, pizza, Tiramisu did not disappoint. The lasagna just needs a bit more flavor. Overall it was very delicious for a decent price.

The owner was really nice and I loved my food so much it was so much food I put it up and ate the rest at school next day. I will definitely be back and I hope my review helps.

First time eating here I got 2 slices of pepperoni pizza I was not disappointed at all I Loved it place looked nice and clean and friendly customer service was great also they have a bar there and also tables to sit at and eat they also have wine and other alcoholic beverages there to choose from but I will definitely be back again

Pizza was so good, I almost forgot to take a picture. My son had the beef ravioli, said it was good. Place was clean, not to loud, and our waiter was very attentive. Will definitely come back.

Food is great! One of my faves in the area. Just went last night and wasn’t disappointed at all. Jasko was our server and he was wonderful. So funny and kind. Great service for sure!

I ordered Lovers Pizza for pickup on the day of the winter storm. On the way there, we were involved in a car accident due to the icy roads. When we called to cancel the order, they immediately offered to deliver instead and went out of their way to make sure we still had our food. When the delivery arrived, we tried to tip at the door and the gentleman kindly refused, even though we insisted. The person who took our call with the beautiful Italian accent and the delivery driver both made our day during a stressful moment. Not to mention, the food was just as delicious as always. Nothing was missing, and they even threw in a couple of extra containers of their amazing house dressing, which was such a thoughtful touch. We already come to Lovers Pizza as a family because the service is always great, but the way they showed up for us during a winter storm earned our loyalty forever. We love getting service from good people.

Stromboli was filled with tasty morsels, just the right amount of Jalapeños,, and Huge. Still can't believe I ate it all. Had to get a refill of marinara. Patio was pleasant. Covered, shaded, and The fountain helped down out the road noise.

Food portions were huge and delicious! Two slices can fit in a 12" box! The lasagna tasted fresh and the customer service was on point, I'd come back purely because of that. You have a choice of seating, so I won't complain about choosing the spot the AC directly hits, but as much as the AC was hitting so was the food! I would love to come again on another beautiful day and try something new!

The food was amazing the owner and staff is great I regret not getting his name is was very sweet to me I am pregnant and he helped with getting the soda from the bottom shelf and apologized for not getting it out sooner and offered to buy me a slice of his delicious cheese cake. The waistress she was a bit tall and she has red hair She was also very helpful Definitely a place to enjoy with your family!!

Stopped in for lunch last week. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered the Philly sandwich which came out piping hot and full of flavor. The restaurant has a cute atmosphere, and it looked like there were several regulars dining. Large selection of tasty to-go desserts.

I love this place. It's an older place but there sell pizza by the slice. There staff is very nice and friendly but at times can be inattentive. We've had multiple waiters assist us in one visit. The bread knots are really good. The seafood pastas are great! Some nights you may be the only guest. Other nights the place is packed. Haven't figured that one out. The staff always greets you when you come in. Very family friendly. I enjoy it there and will continue to eat there.

Pizza is frikkin' great, pasta is meh. Service is solid. House wine is not worth it -- bottles are vacuum re-sealed, but I've been there twice now and they both tasted on the verge of turning. If you want a good glass, you need to get a whole bottle. Draught beer (Peroni/Shiner) is much better. Really, if this place was primarily an Italian/pasta place, I'd rate it 3 stars. But then there is their pizza. Great dough. Great sauce. Delicious. This is why you go here.

I really enjoyed my first time here. I got an artichoke dip for appetizer and a cesar salad and ordered chicken carciofi. It was delicious. My family ordered lasagna as well. The prices are reasonable.

Didnt get to take pics but its been about 1 year since ive returned. The establishment is bigger and brighter. The place is not so dim and the dining room is open, giving it a nice cozy feel to the place as you enjoy your food. I ordered the friday lunch special which was the shrimp scampi over linguini and everything about the dish was perfect. The shrimp were big sized and succulent while the linguini was served hot and perfect tenderness over the pasta. The tomatoes and herbs blend in perfectly with the whole dish and broiled down perfectly giving this dish a homecook taste with authenticity. I remember when i used to come here that the pizza was also really delicious, im glad i did return to find this establishment still serving really good pizza and pasta at reasonable prices and the glow up to the place is the cherry on top for a perfect date night. Alcohol is available and so is a bar for individual sitiing. Will return soon

Lovers Pizza Pasta Jan 2, 2018 Takeout Tuesday My daughter ordered Chicken Linguini Pasta & Pizza from Lovers after reading favorable reviews. The pizza was good as was the pasta though it could've used a tad bit more seasoning & sauce. Overall a good meal & we'll order again.

Fairly speedy service when the waitress was paying attention; the food came quickly and our glasses were always full. We seated ourselves when we came in, but definitely regretted sitting in a booth (they're not made for short people). The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet, and the food is acceptable (albeit a little on the greasy side). 8/10 would come here again.

Food taste and portion was great, nice space but the staff was unwelcoming. Lack of service is my only negative comment, but would go back for more food.

I order the Calzone, and it was good, not amazing, but abode expected. The salsa with the calzone could be better, but it was alright. Overall a good experience

First time going... Nice cozy place, with friendly staff and nice environment. The food was great, no complaints whatsoever. I got the chicken parmigiana sandwich and it was delicious, the toastiness of the bread was on point, the marinera sauce was great, amd the melted mozzarella was on point 🤌. Also added to our table was the Italian sausage spaghetti 🍝. It was well made with everything you are looking for. Had 2 single slices of pizza, one being a plane pepperoni pizza, and one being "the works", both pizzas were delicious, good on cheese and sauce, the dough and crust had a nice bite to them, with a nice crunch . Great place to check out, for any time of the day, or for a nice date night..

I have ordered in the past through delivery apps and phone for pick up by the slice and the food was just okay. Best to go in person and get something ready and fresh.

First time trying out this restaurant and we had a positive experience! We were instantly greeted and our orders were taken quickly. Our salads arrived within minutes of placing our orders and the rest of our food was out shortly after. The interior of the restaurant was pretty nice too.

The menu offers a great selection of traditional and contemporary pasta dishes. I tried the classic spaghetti carbonara, and it was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of pancetta.

The food was just okay, the creamy sauce I had on my pasta and chicken with mushrooms needed something like garlic, lemon, or cappers to give it more flavor. Salad and desert was fine. Service was very good. Bread delicious. Prices very ressonable

I ordered a stromboli and I'm disappointed.. or maybe my expectations are too high. For the menu this item contains beef Italian sausage pepperoni and mozzarella. I have the previous restaurant visitors were correct when they say that the portions are large. Unless the beef was the same gray color as that process imitation Italian sausage, that ingredient was not included

First time going to Lovers Pizza and the experience was simply okay. We both thought the food was decent but it felt like the calzone should have been cooked longer, i have never had one that soft before. That may just be how they cook their calzones there so i'm not taking off too many points for personal preference. The service was a little slow for lunch, considering there weren't a lot of patrons there at the time. My sister liked the stuffed cheese tortellini but not enough to take the leftovers home. I would give them another shot though and try the pizza next time around. If i go back, i'll post an updated review.

Service was excellent, the quality of the food did not match the service or environment. We got a lunch special- pizza, it was just ok. It was cheap-salad and a pizza slice $10. However, the pizza wasn’t hot and the toppings were added, but would have liked to see cheese added to the top and cooked more, or longer? Our server was friendly. Attentive, and the service was fast. I didn’t get pictures.

I just had another great example of why you should eat your food where it's cooked. I ordered delivery with a special request for extra sauce. That modification was completely ignored and when I called to let them know, they said they usually do a good job with pizza. I told him as a pizza restaurant that I would expect they would do a good job with pizza. They would not send me another pizza but required that I drive there to trade it out. This was a 'one and done' for me. Read the order, Lover's!!

Food tasted OK but the service was terrible and we went for a birthday. Chef got the orders mixed up. My friend ordered cheese manicotti and got cheese ravioli. Manager said well, it is almost the same. When she asked for a discount, Manager said well, you accepted the food! Yes, she did, so she wouldn't be getting her food when everyone else was finished! Also, my beef ravioli had almost no beef in it. Manager claimed its always that way. No one not even the Manager knew anything about the wine list. Desserts in the case looked great but after a disastrous meal, we didn't even try them. Admittedly, the gluten free pizza was a standout. At least 2 of the 4 of us will not be returning, at least not to this location anyway. Never had this problem at the other location.

I had a descripency with SLICE (don't use them, they don't speak English). Waited 2hrs, drove up here to get my money back. Server dude was super nice. He went to get the manager, MANAGER would not come out. Manager told dude to tell me to wait for another pizza or get refunded by slice. Dine in or carry out. Don't use for delivery.

Found this on Google and decided to come for dinner. When I walked in there was just like a lattice wall and the bar to the left. No hostess stand so I was a little confused as to what to do, the manager or bartender just kept looking at me and holding the phone to his ear, finally a waitress walked in from outside the patio and I asked her "ummm...do I just seat myself?" And she responded yea sure you can sit anywhere you want. Apparently there are two restaurants in the same place because she game me two menus to order from. The establishment was decently clean, there were some flies and nats flying around and I did see a couple of ants crawling on the wall 🤔, guess this should've been a red flag. The waitress was nice. I ordered the Mozzarella Bread, which was a French bread loaf cut with a garlic or butter topping and cheese with tomatoes, there wasn't really any seasoning. The bread itself was soft but again there was not really any flavor unless you dipped it in the sauce. For the main dish, I ordered the Works thin crust. It was nothing to rave about, again the flavor could have used a bit more seasoning. The basil on top was wilted and dried because it looks like they placed it on top then put it in the oven so it dried out.

By far the worst place to sit down to eat. The staff are very young and untrained, not very helpful, and the Alfredo sauce is nothing like Alfredo sauce. It’s very watered down, taste’s nothing like cheese, and the spaghetti noodle is actually angel hair pasta. Second time being very disappointed and have no plans on ever returning. I do LOVE the other location on Abrams and Mockingbird!!! I do not think they are co-owners but this one is not up to my liking at all.

Friendly wait staff, but upon seating, I realized this was the kind of restaurant Gordon Ramsey would don a terrible disguise for, as it's in dire need of a makeover. Leaky air conditioning units and faulty ceilings are sure to make anyone weary. My family had eaten here before and claimed it was decent, so I didn't want to purely judge it on appearances alone. My wife went with Lobster Ravioli and I opted for the Blue Cheeseburger. Presentation was ok but the main reason my review is low was the bun for my meal was harder than a hockey puck. Plus the prices are a tad high for out of the box fare. I paid the same as I would've at an Italian chain like Olive Garden, but the ambiance and flavor would have been far superior had I opted for Olive Garden. I'm not eager to give Lovers another shot. Should I choose to do so, I will update the review. First impressions though were not favorable at all.

We are retired and spent $40 for food that in no way resembled what we were expecting...when I called and complained...we were told that everyone complains about sandwiches and pizza having no meat and too much bread...but he made no attempt to make it right! The Philly steak sandwich was horrible! We spent $40..we could have spent that on groceries or medications! They should be ashamed of themselves! They're horrible people! Enough said!!!

Just bought $40 worth of pizza, one 12” white pizza and one 14” add your own toppings pizza. Both were supposed to be thin crust, but the 14” was thicker than any Dominos or Pizza Hut regular crust. I then called to make sure our order was correct and instead of making it right, she just told me that “Neapolitan meant hand stretched and both my pizzas were thin crust”. I will never go back and I will make sure to spread the word on their poor customer service. See my picture! That’s thin crust??

The owner is wired. Stares at you like you stole something. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Will never go back. Verona Italian Restaurant about 1/2 a mile up Garland rd. is much better.

My first time to try them, I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken! Very disappointed Alfredo sauce was runny no flavor, liked water down , pasta wasn’t freshly cooked, rolls were dry.. this is first review I have ever written, with the high price of food, we should expect better.. trying to save others from wasting their $$$… it was take out, when I arrived i waited 5 min, which wasn’t a big deal expecting a hot meal…

Updating my review. They changed their business model and their pizza recipe. The pizza is awful. I've been eating their pizza since 2013 and what was delivered today at my doorstep with no notice is not the same. It used to be a respectable hand tossed NY style pizza. Now it appears they are trying to pivot to Neopolitan (5 years after limp pizza got boring) and killed off what we loved about them. The delivery service they are using is a joke and making them look bad. I ordered calamari with my pizza and asked that it be delivered to me, not the doorstep, but they left it at my door with no knock, no doorbell, and I learned it had been delivered after calling to check on the delivery time. So, I got look warm soggy calamari. That's not service. Thats a business killer. I know this is a lot but like I said, I've been a customer for nearly 10 years and I won't be a customer any longer. Hoping the Mgmt will contact me when they go back to the original recipes and I'll pick up rather than deliver if I ever go back. Sadly no longer... Friendly, fresh, hot and reliable.
