Opinions de Crown Block Dallas
Last minute reservation open up so we got lucky and went for dinner. Server Jake was super. Food was good though not great. Steak cook well but there’s are better steak places. Sushi was good but there are better sushi places. The view is amazing. The starting complimentary cocktail was nice touch. Ride up the elevator was fun. Bar area while waiting for our table is great idea. Just think that it would be better if checking in downstairs then hostess waiting by the elevator to walk us to our table would be better.
Valentine’s brunch at Crown Block was such a beautiful and memorable experience — elevated, festive, and surprisingly very family-friendly. From the moment you arrive at the top of Reunion Tower, the panoramic Dallas views set the tone. The space feels bright, modern, and welcoming, making it just as comfortable for families as it is for a special occasion celebration. The food stations were thoughtfully curated and high quality across the board. The seafood selection featured fresh, beautifully prepared sushi and poke, with clean flavors and excellent presentation. Everything felt refined and intentional without being overwhelming. The dessert and candy bar was truly over the top in the best way. Stunning displays, incredible desserts, and a full candy selection made it feel festive, fun, and interactive — especially for kids. It added a playful element that made the entire brunch feel celebratory and unique.
If you haven’t experienced Crown Block, you’re missing out on a true top-tier dining experience. From the moment you pull up, it’s first-class. Friendly valet, warm greeting at the base of the tower, and a Ranch Water in hand while you ride up the elevator. The doors open to a stunning wine wall, and just steps away is that breathtaking Dallas skyline behind the bar. I’ve been three times (and somehow always end up on the Oak Cliff side 🙄), but honestly there’s no bad seat in the building. The service staff works like a well-oiled machine — seamless, attentive, and intentional. You can tell they take pride in every detail. Now let’s talk food. My favorite drink? The Crown Block Berry — smooth, balanced, and dangerously easy to sip. The Salmon Aburi was perfect for someone like me who doesn’t eat raw sushi. Lightly seared, flavorful, and inclusive without pushing me out of my comfort zone. The crab cakes? Unreal. About 95% crab with barely any filler. The sauce was rich, warm, and unforgettable. I would order them to-go four times a week if that were an option. For the main event, my partner and I split the Cowgirl Ribeye — and when I say perfection, I mean it. They even presented the steak to us before cooking, which was such a classy touch. It came out cooked exactly right, served with a whole pepper and an onion jam that elevated every bite. We added the signature Crown Block sauce, and it tasted like a homemade A1 — but crafted with love and depth. Absolute game-changer. The sides sealed the deal. The fries were unlike anything I’ve ever had — almost like an edible straw filled with mashed potatoes. Crispy outside, soft and creamy inside. And the mac & cheese? Comfort food done right. For dessert, we had the Society Cake. Sensational. Something I didn’t even know I needed in my life — and I still think about it. The way the banana blends with the layers of chocolate is a masterclass in balance. Pro tip: make sure you get a little of each layer in every bite. This is the kind of place I will continue to make my business to visit — as much as my wallet allows. Perfect for celebrations, date nights, or just reminding yourself you deserve something exceptional. 10/10. Every. Single. Time. ✨ Omggggggg I just remembered that one little piece of bread was so amazing it should be a felony to tease someone like that 🤧
Dinner was AMAZING! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was just as wonderful. Our waiter, Scott, was incredibly helpful and gave us great suggestions that did not disappoint. The blackberry mocktail is a must-try — so good! Food was 10/10. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
Our evening was fantastic! The food was wonderful and our waiter Scott was informative and helpful. The only suggestion I would make is to lower the music volume and maybe less techno style music. A soft jazz would have just topped off the atmosphere.
had the best time with my family for a birthday celebration! Loved our server Alexia & all her suggestions were great as she described! She definitely knew the menu & the perfect wines to pair with the entrees. Would definitely go again & see her ❤️
Jorge was absolutely amazing!!!! Super amazing Recommendation absolutely professional, and one of the best fine dining I have ever personally had. As someone who works in fine dining, it was very appreciated the attention to detail In service food choice, and overall communication between server and customer. 100% will be coming back and will always come back As long as he works here so he can be our server!
Celebrated early Valentine’s Day with my partner. The location itself is very romantic. Dark setting with an amazing Dallas view to appreciate. Salma and Jenn were our servers last night and they made our experience exceptional, both very knowledgeable regarding the food and the city. We plan to come back for our anniversary to catch the sunset suggested.
I’ll start with, I’m not a “review guy”… but… I finally made it to Crown Block after wanting to visit every time I’ve come through Dallas, and it absolutely lived up to the anticipation. I was able to secure a reservation during Super Bowl weekend, which made the experience feel even more special. Scott, my server, was outstanding from start to finish—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm in his approach. He elevated the entire evening and made me feel well taken care of. The vibe leaned a bit slower and more relaxed than I expected, but it worked in the restaurant’s favor. It created space to really settle in, enjoy the skyline, and savor the experience rather than feel rushed. As for the food, every dish practically tap danced across my palate. The flavors were thoughtful, well-balanced, and memorable without being overwhelming. You can tell real intention goes into the culinary craft here. Crown Block delivered on an experience I had been looking forward to for quite some time, and I’m glad I finally made it happen. I’ll definitely be back.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner date. From the moment we arrived, everyone greeted us warmly and professionally. The food and drinks were exceptionally flavorful and refreshing. Our waiter, Scott, was top-notch—knowledgeable about the menu, excellent at explaining each option, and very attentive throughout our dining experience.
Husband and I went here for our 19th Anniversary about a week ago and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was professional, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Looking over the city that high up was an intense experience but i really loved everything about it. Thank you you guys.
I brought my friends from out of town to enjoy a Dallas evening. We arrived at 5:00 PM and they graciously set us at a table where we could watch the sunset. Our waiter, Jorge (George), arranged a dinner from appetizers to dessert where we could enjoy a shared dinner. It was over the top perfect! Then they sent a complimentary dessert to the table with a message for my friends. I I seated the photo below. See photo of the spread: Cotten candy, ice cream cones, freshly fried donuts and caramel corn! It was like being at the fair. If you want to treat friends from out of town Crown Block is a must visit!!!
Such a great place to celebrate a friend’s birthday! The food was delicious and they gave us sparklers at the end with dessert. Jorge was a fantastic server and super accommodating! Will be back for sure.
The kind of American Restaurant where reviewers just might take cheap shots and make poor reviews due to a lack of manners, fine dining experience, and certainly have not worked in the service industry. The cuisine is a mixture of Asian and American food that sincerely accommodates everyone. In fact, the menu tries too hard. The service is on point, completely thorough, and utterly fair and competent. For example, the included gratuity is a management decision of the business operations - don’t be silly and blame the server. This aspect was well pointed out and disclosed. And service was very prompt. Finally, the atmosphere is clearly the absolute best you could find in the city where Pegasus flies and western luxury resides. Again, if anything is wrong here it’s being over accommodating to the everyday human that will sadly turn distinction into a doormat. Navigate your way from the public transport trains (which is very cool but lost on Americans who never leave their own counties, much less see Europe with non judgmental eyes), go into the Hyatt hotel, and down below you will find a reception desk. There is a dedicated elevator to the restaurant. Pro tip - there is a tunnel under the railway if you walk from downtown! Enjoy it, don’t step on it, especially when you don’t understand it. And if it’s too much money, just be honest that is an I issue. 🙏🏼
My family came here for the first time for a graduation celebration for my brother and had a pleasant time. The restaurant was decorated nicely for Christmas and had a warm, low light atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive, explained every menu in detail and our waters were topped up often throughout the meal. My brother first tried some salmon nigiri, and said the salmon was high quality. I got the Pork Tomahawk, and it was very good. It could have been a bit more moist, but I found it enjoyable. For sure indulge in one of the sauces if you get it. My partner got the lamb rack. He raved about the tzatziki style sauce and found it very enjoyable. My mom got the salmon dish from the mains, and said it was the best salmon she’d ever had. My brother got the real standout, which was the (I think) Kansas City striploin. One of the best steaks I’ve had in my life for sure. Cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. We all shared an Apple dessert that was lovely, especially the high quality ice cream that came with it. Kindly, the restaurant also brought out a complementary special occasion dessert of cake pops and cookies. Overall, you may note that the prices are steep (and I agree), but this is very much a special occasion style place. I would return for another occasion like a birthday or anniversary in the future, but not for anything day to day.
Crown Block is what I would call a once in a lifetime dining experience. Something to note, you order for the entire meal at the beginning, so rattled off the below in one go. I enjoyed this aspect, as this restaurant truly has something for everyone, from the immaculate sushi bar where I got the hand rolls (spicy tuna, scallop, & yellowtail) to the Caesar salad which was top tier. Next the ibericó ribs were enjoyed for my first time and they were spectacular. After that, I tried the 2 oz Wagyu hot stone which is prepared Tableside with ponzu sauce and cucumber. This is something I would recommend and a true highlight of the meal. For entrees, the filet was ordered and I got a double order of lamb chops (8 total) the 3 sides were broccolini, roasted carrots and the potatoes which were stellar. To close the meal, key lime pie was enjoyed along with espresso martini. Our server was great and very intentional with our meal starting with cold to hot and we had a great conversation with all wait staff. Was made to feel special during a celebratory evening and this was a night to remember. Thanks team!
Had the weekend brunch buffet. Only recommendation would be to label the food items. Also be aware the staff expects a lot of gratuity. That said, it was amazing. Service was stellar plus being up in the Dallas skyline adds even more to an already exceptional experience. 2 people with 1 drink total was $255.
I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Crown Block in downtown Dallas! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was upscale yet inviting, with stunning views and an elegant atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The crab cakes were hands down some of the best I’ve ever had perfectly crisp on the outside and bursting with fresh, flavorful crab inside. I also ordered the raspberry mocktail, which was not only beautiful to look at but incredibly refreshing and well balanced not too sweet, just right. The highlight of my meal was the branzino, every bite was a treat! The service was top tier, and the staff made sure every detail of our visit was perfect. I left feeling full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Crown Block is a Dallas gem worth experiencing!
We had an amazing experience! Ryan, the manager, was incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions with such professionalism. The level of service he provided was truly A+ — all of his suggestions were spot-on. Our server, Colt, made us feel right at home and offered outstanding service from start to finish. Both Colt and Ryan went above and beyond to make my mom feel special on her birthday. Definitely recommend this restaurant — and when you go, ask for Ryan and Colt!
I can’t say enough good things about this place! I recently brought my wife here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, my daughter for her 18th birthday, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was outstanding, and the food was absolutely top tier. Every time we’ve visited, they’ve gone above and beyond to deliver a true five-star experience, and we’ve always left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. The menu offers something for everyone, with a wide variety of delicious options, and the desserts are exceptional—especially the key lime pie, which is my personal favorite. If you’re looking for the perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion, this is it. For an extra touch of magic, book a table in the evening and enjoy the breathtaking sunset views over Dallas.
The Crown Block Restaurant at the Reunion Tower was a great experience. The ambiance was perfect to celebrate a special occasion or just for a nice date night. The restaurant also had a spectacular view of the city to enjoy while you dine. Service was efficient and friendly and our server even brought out a special surprise for us at the end. The food was delicious and had interesting little twists on common dishes that set them apart from the usual like the pickled grapes in the roasted brussel sprouts or the heirloom tomato salad that almost seemed more like a savory granola bowel but somehow just worked. We started our evening at the observation deck and ended at the restaurant for dinner just before sunset so we got to enjoy the view while the sun was setting and then watch the city light up once the sun was down. Definitely the way to go. The night was delightful from beginning to end. Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Price: $$$ Overall Value: 4.5/5
A very fun location worth visiting for the views, the food, and the attentiveness of the staff. We were impresses with the quality of the food and attention to detail in the presentation and cooking of the dishes. The food preparation was creative, and the tastes were honed to perfection. The staff was very good at paying attention to your table and recommending dishes to eat. There is a mandatory 18% tip that you can increase if you wish. There is little room to walk around, but I recommend you tour the restaurant to see all the sights -it's worth it. The dessert menu was very good and seemingly prepared on premises. The prices are reasonable for the type of food, location, and service. Expect around $100 per person without alcohol. A strong recommend.
This would be a 5 star review across the board if it had not been impossible just to make reservations! I called 5 times between 4pm and 7pm left 2 voicemail and never heard from anyone to make a reservation, I had to book online and then was called and told that my 9:30 reservation would not work because the kitchen closes at 9:40 (why does your online reservation let you set it for 930 if it doesn't work?!? This is the reason I wanted to talk to a real human being in the first place!!!!)
Fantastic spot to go and see at least once. The food was delicious, but the fries we ordered were stale. Short ribs were outstanding! The tower doesn’t spin anymore which was sad, but the views are still awesome. The lines for the restroom and the wait for the elevator were pretty annoying. All in all, a fairly pricey meal for a bit of ambiance.
A lovely experience where the ambiance meets expectations. It’s a great choice for a special occasion and many bdays going on around you. The food choices were pretty diverse and tasty. Some options are smaller portions as others. Some feel worth the price, some fall a little short. The shrimp starter was tasty, wish it could have been a bit more. The Kansas City steak was very good. The shareable sides was a good way to share them between two. Mac and fries were good. For a birthday, they offer some cake pops and two small cookies and but we saw other get a small cup of something with a sparkler candle. we didn’t know we had special request the sparkler candle or if we needed to order a specific desert for it. Perhaps put that in the notes on the reservation. The Vallet was right up front and basically just parked it right in front of us and gave keys back. They take online options and not just cash only. Self parking options around the building if you don’t want Vallet. The online reservation option is easy and they do offer a 15 minute courtesy. Do plan for at least 10/15 minutes if you are self parking and taking the elevator up.
The views are stunning, and the service is excellent. The food is good, but not exceptional. The BLT wedge salad was really good, but the filet and sides were really just average. Hate to say that, but it’s the truth. The dessert was fun. We were celebrating a birthday, so they brought out a fun dessert. Again, the service is amazing and the views are totally worth it. But the food is just average. So set your expectations appropriately.
Hmm. Being a foodie, i can't say that my duck confit was good; it was mediocre in taste and what it was a leg. My wife branzini was better. Would I pay $32 and $56 for these from a taste /quality ... no. The view was nice. The service was exceptional. Salma was very attentive, polite and efficient. There were two of us. We ordered a salad, two entrees, a mixed drink and a bottle of wine. The tab with an 18% service charge (not optional) came to $240. I have had exceptional meals for half this proce. Yes, the view is nice, but the restaurant does not rotate anymore, so you are really just paying for a good meal. While the food was okay and the service was spot on, I would not come back here. Price is too high for what you get. Including a mandatory 18% service (advised at the end of the meal) charge for a 2 person party is obnoxious.
This is my first bad review. Please choose to go somewhere else when visiting downtown Dallas. I don't mind paying high prices but I expect high-quality food. This was not it. We ordered the cowgirl ribeye and the Wagyu sirloin. Both of them were overcooked, we ordered medium it was more medium well which matters when you're paying $80 for a steak. Ordered the trio sides and had carrots broccolini and the fries. Broccolini and fries were OK… The carrots were not hardly cooked at all. To be known for a steakhouse it's one of the worst steaks I have had. It's really an embarrassment to have a Michelin rating. Also the restaurant does not rotate like in some searches you may find online. It stopped rotating in 2020 when the restaurant changed ownership. So now you are left with a lot of bars to block your view. Go somewhere else with a rooftop view experience. The only thing good at this place is the service.
Misleading, Rude, and NOT Family Friendly My wife, daughter, and I had a terrible experience here. We arrived early at 4:00 PM, fully aware that they didn't open until 5:00 PM, hoping to secure a spot. At 4:30 PM, we spoke to the hostess who explicitly assured us that we would be able to get in since we were so early and there was plenty of seating available. Unfortunately, that assurance meant nothing. Here is where it went wrong: Not Kid-Friendly: It turns out this place is not set up for families. They do not have high chairs. Because we had a child, they actually recommended we sit in the open bar seating, which is hardly appropriate or comfortable for a family dinner. Broken Promises: Despite waiting an hour and being told we’d get a table, once 5:00 PM hit, they prioritized people with reservations and ignored us. We were left standing there after being told we would be seated. Poor Hospitality: Our daughter was getting hungry, so we had to leave to find her food elsewhere since they wouldn't seat us. When we tried to come back at 6:30 PM to finally have our meal, they simply turned us away. To top it all off, the staff was rude and mean throughout the interaction. If you have kids, or if you expect a hostess to keep their word, avoid this place.
Crown Block—A Crown Jewel in Disappointment We came in excited to experience Crown Block’s upscale vibe, but the reality was a logistical and culinary mess. First off, valet is advertised but doesn’t exist—we circled the tower trying to figure out where to go, only to end up self-parking and walking with kids in tow. Once seated, we ordered nearly the entire menu hoping for a standout dish. Instead, we were served raw lobster—not rare, not undercooked, just raw. No apology, no urgency to fix it. The rest of the meal was forgettable at best. But the real kicker? The manager asked us to leave because our kids were making noise. Not disruptive, not screaming—just being kids. In a public restaurant. The tone was condescending, the attitude dismissive, and the hospitality nonexistent. If you’re a family looking for a welcoming fine dining experience, Crown Block is not it. Overhyped, underdelivered, and outright hostile.
