Such a gem. I’ve probably eaten their food more than any other restaurant in Dallas. Great every time.

The spot I’ve been looking for since I moved to Dallas, reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. The people who work here are so incredibly nice and customer service oriented. The food came out quick, and fresh. I definitely recommend and will be back soon I guarantee it. Side Note: The Drive through is extremely efficient!

Surprisingly good food. We each had a different Bento Box and the food was good, fresh, hot and quickly delivered to our table (after ordering at the counter.) Friendly helpful staff, too.

This place is SO GOOD! Sometimes you just want good and fresh sushi without having to go to a place that makes you sit down and takes forever. Not only is it great quality but it's also affordable and you can even call ahead to place an order. I legit recommend this place. PS. Their Bento Boxes are cool too.

I ordered the white tuna sashimi. I received the largest pieces I've ever seen anywhere else. The food is pretty fresh. Their handmade rolls are great, and you get a lot for your money. The staff was very kind and accommodating.

Great place if you want quick, fresh and reasonably priced hibachi and sushi. Been going here for a few months and it has never disappointed. I usually get the sushi which is fresh and family gets the hibachi options. The steak is always perfectly cooked and the veggies are perfect. If you want takeout hibachi or sushi, it's a perfect stop. They even have a drive thru!

We got sushi delivered and it was amazing. Incredibly fresh and really nice salmon. Perfectly executed sticky rice. Highly recommended.

Definitely not a fancy sushi date night place but the food is great and prices are very reasonable. It's counter order which gets you in and out quickly. Rolls were made fresh and great size. Bento box was a delicious mix. I'll be back!

Update: Fire x box still had great food, but they went way up on their prices in 2021, something like a 30% increase on most items. Their food is still great, but I don't go much anymore. Too many other good options around the neighborhood that only had modest price hikes. Here's my review from 2019: I love this place. I've been eating here regularly for the past 4 years and it's my favorite neighborhood spot for takeout. It's a hole-in-the-wall, but the food is GREAT and the staff is so nice and friendly. It's also SUPER CLEAN. I've been in there when they've been cleaning before, they actually take the hibachi grills and roll them away so that they can clean underneath and behind them! Do yourself a favor and check it out - the bento box is a great option!

The service here was really great. Staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Food was what you’d expect from a fast food focused sushi/hibachi restaurant, which is to say, it was really good, but not the best I’ve had obviously.

Quality definitely overcomes the price at this place! As a salmon lover, this place definitely hits the spot when you’re not looking for too much to eat but looking for a good cut of sashimi! Miso soup as an appetizer is a must have, a nice portion of the soup too 🤤 It’s such a nice environment there, the chef checking up on you, the front service person also keeping an eye out for you and seeing if everything is alright. Such a nice gem in the area if you’re just wanting a little treat for yourself 😉

Nice server. I had salmon fried rice and broccoli Hibache style. With tea. $18. There’s a lot of ways to prepare salmon and get an off taste. Not this time. Enjoyed every bite. Mostly a take out. I ate in. Atmosphere felt definitely Asian.

So damn good! Very surprised I haven't gone to this place before, always see it. So it's not your typical Hibachi, they cook everything in their area while we sit and wait. I got the bento box salmon 😋 and another person got the teriyaki bento. Saw the sushi and couldn't resist, so got that too! Everything was so nicely done and it taste so delicious! But I will admit that I didn't get an order of salad I paid for 🥲 Will be coming back another time🙇🏼

It is a very nice place. Altough it might not look like it from the outside, inside is very comfortable and tidy. The cute guys there were very nice and were willing to wait until i decide as well as answer all my questions. The food was delicious and for a good price. I have been at places where sushi is as small as my pinky, thankfully it wasn't the case here. I certanly recommend the place and will come back myself.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. GO TO spot im there almost every other week. The decor gets better each time I visit, and the place is always very clean with a friendly, welcoming staff. The rolls are my favorite, especially with their spicy sauce it’s so good and really makes the sushi stand out. Just a heads up, one roll probably won’t be enough… definitely order two to leave satisfied. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

i got this for delivery on uber eats and honestly, it took forever for the order to be finished, my driver was waiting them for a minute BUUUUUT it was soooooooo gooooooooood. decent sizes for to go, i got hibachi style rice, miso soup & a sushi roll, something with eel, it is valentine’s day so it’s totally normal for the wait time when the food is actually good.

They gave me miso soup and fresh strawberries for dessert with salt. In Japan, there is a drunk called Salt with Fruit. It was one of my favorite drinks. Thankyou for the reminder!

We came when it was pretty busy and all the employees were working really hard. Nice little establishment order and pay right at the front (which i like) and sit anywhere. Food was a little slow to come out (maybe because they have a drive thru) but it was worth the wait! Will come here again!

This quaint little restaurant has 3 workers behind the counter. Cook it away and taking orders and building orders. The food is delicious if you like sushi a new friend, just turn me on to this place. I'll be going back again many times over.

This place is incredible, I've been eating here for my birthday for a couple years now. The menu isn't large on options but the Whatever they cook up they are EXTREMELY good at. Impressed! We needed a quick bite to eat and after seeing this is DRIVE-THRU Sushi and had good reviews we had to check it out! We visited on a Saturday night and there was no line in the drivethru. Customer service was great! We ordered a few pieces of sushi and a special roll. The wait was quick and the sushi was great! They do not skimp on fish! We loved it and will be back next time we’re in the area!

Food was very delicious. I had the teriyaki salmon Bento box. I dined in and was also given miso soup with the most tender tofu bites that melt in your mouth. Im not much of a miss soup fan but theirs was great compared to others I've tasted. Recommend this place 100% and the people there are so friendly.

The customer service was really good , it was my first time coming so it was nice getting recommendations! We decided to dine in and had the best time ! Everything we had was piping hot and fresh. The chicken and shrimp fried rice and stir fry udon were delicious! The sushi rolls were super fresh! It was well made and the presentation was too pretty to eat! We got a little bit of everything! The unagi and volcano roll were my favorites! Oh and the fried tempura shrimp was soo yummy! We end up reordering it!!! Definitely coming back!

I definitely recommend coming here for lunch! The chicken hibachi is always perfect! The cowboy roll was delicious and the tuna was perfect! The steak udon was amazing! Lots of flavor! The steak was cut well, not tough or chewy. Will definitely be coming back to try more sashimi :)

Amazing little spot! Prices are fair and food is great. The whole team was very welcoming and hard at work to provide the best fare they could. The seating only fits 40 and the parking is not very large.

Of course with it being a hibachi the food was hot and fresh. It also had very good flavor. I got the chicken and steak hibachi the steak was nice and tender. I gave the food 3 stars because my stomach was a bit upset. But the food taste good so I'll be back soon.

A bit pricey for the size you get ONLY when it comes to the sushi - the noodles are always way touch to finish. The dragon Roll was the best of the bunch we tried on our last trip. Drive through is fast when you consider you're getting sushi! Close by, convenient, and great service!

Last Saturday my boss bought me lunch from there. He got D9 which is the steak and shrimp rice. Tried it I fell in loved with all the wonderful flavors that It had especially the steak. I would recommend it to any one but you have to go during a rush hour. I did go late night on Sunday with my girlfriend we got the same thing but the steak was really rare. We had to take it home and cook it, But still so delicious.

I love sushi - I really do. And one of the rolls I ordered in the drive thru was phenomenal. My only issue was that, at every other sushi restaurant I've been to (and I've been to dozens), they put ALL ingredients in a roll on the menu. One of the rolls I ordered did NOT state avocado was included, and I didn't notice until I had driven away that it was, in fact, in the roll. That's a big deal for me, since I'm deathly allergic to avocado. Oh well. I still skimmed the toppings off the roll, but had to throw most of it away.

Initially tried this locations food through Uber Eats, they are reasonably priced and the food is overall good. I personally would not choose to dine in at this location, however their menu is pretty extensive for the type of place that it is. The sushi is good, they also have bento boxes which contain a lot of food. The place gives whole in the wall vibes but overall the food is good.

I recommend this restaurant. The food is good. Its prepared right there on the grill in front of you. Definitely will be back here.

We wanted some good sushi for lunch while we were on that side of Dallas. What a nice surprise. The place was not five star fancy, but clean and efficient. People working there were friendly and cared about your dining experience. If you are nearby, and want good sushi, then this is the place for you…

A good place for quick sushi and hibachi. The hibachi is good. The sushi is also good but I felt the rolls have gotten a little smaller. I feel you don’t get near full with one roll and need at least two; so then the cost can add up quickly. Tempura is light and crispy. The Garland roll was great. For my son and I, I spent close to $50 for tempura shrimp, 1 special roll, 3 regular rolls, and 1 drink.

Had both the garland and the highland roll .. the garland roll was a bit sweeter like I like em.the highland had warm rice and could use some flavor. The total was about 30 buck.

First time trying FireXBox. Ordered the chicken & shrimp hibachi. Although it was a bit pricey for what I ordered ($15), the food was pretty good. Enjoyed the shrimp more so than the chicken. Next time I'll definitely do shrimp only.

Hole in the wall place. Sushi was just okay. I've had better, I've had worse. Very reasonably priced though. I had a late lunch, but was surprised that they were pretty full by the time I left. Clearly a local favorite. You have to know it's there or be looking for it. Otherwise, you'll drive right by without seeing it.

05/01/21: I spent $67 (total & tip) today ordering food for my family. The food wasn’t as good, particularly the sushi. I got 8 sushi rolls, 2 orders of gyozas, and 1 chicken bento box. The food came out fairly quickly. Just a little disappointed with the quality this time. 03/13/21: Reasonable priced, Japanese fast food and sushi. It’s not top of the line. The prices are great and the food is pretty good. I typically only get the cooked sushi and udon. Sometimes I do get the fried rice as well. I went Saturday night around 8 pm and there were 3 cars in the drive thru. I was the only one to order food when I got there, but there was a call in order and 3 other parties that came in to pick up food (call in, to go). I ordered 2 spider rolls (H15) and the combo roll order (R4) of California roll and shrimp tempura roll. Prices have gone up, but it’s not that bad. As of that night, there was no sitting indoors and all orders are to go / take out. Service is pleasant and to the point. Not bad or anything. I’ll be back soon.

The restaurant is really small, but the staff was nice. Spent about $60 for 4 people, but the food was pretty good. Not completely worth it, in my opinion, but I only went here once. The sushi is also super overpriced for how little they give you.

The food is good and reasonably priced, however the establishment appears dusty and would likely benefit from a good cleaning.

Been coming here for years and The place used to be worth it when it was cheaper then other places. Now they've gone up on their prices. Now they are higher then other places. I understand price increases happen but my regular combo rice was $10 a year ago and is now almost 14$. Too high for takeout food. And it seems like they are using cheaper meats then before. The steak has been really fatty and tough lately. I'd rather go out to a regular sit down restaurant.

The cuts on my Alaskan and Rainbow roll were very thin for the price. There was also not much going on in the roll either. Considering the area, I knew it was a bet on the quality of the sushi, I lost. The spicy mayo was made from poor ingredients. Service was nice, and everything was made in a timely manner, but the rolls were disappointing. I was hoping to find a gem in the rough.

My order arrived fresh with no missing items. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would order again. The udon noodles were definitely not what I expected for hibachi. The noodles were more of a fat mushy noodle that had just been boiled rather than a noodle fried on the hibachi grill. The sauce on the noodles however was tasty. Steak was over cooked and the shrimp tasted like the sea. You can tell the meats are not seasoned prior to cooking. The sauce is the seasoning. The sushi and beef egg roll were average at best. While the food was not terrible I will stick with Zato Thai from now on.

$33 + $6 tip for 3 rolls (dragon, spider & California) and fountain drink. The eel was slimy on the dragon roll and the soft shell crab in the spider roll was very fishy. So fishy, that I couldn’t eat the last bite and started feeling kinda blah. The soda fountain was low on CO2 and was putting out flat, watered down drinks. They promptly fixed it when we mentioned it to them. The hibachi some other people ordered looked pretty good. I don’t think I’ll be going back though.

This place is a hit or a miss but even when it's good, it's just okay. I got a rainbow roll with very fishy fish on it. The gyoza has a weird taste and the "fried rice" is barely fried, it seems more like white rice with a little soy sauce in it. On top of that the restaurant stinks and makes me wonder how clean it is behind the counter. For 26 bucks I just expect better. This will be the last time I eat here.

Ordered through Uber. Food was hot and fresh but I did not recieve any of the sides I paid for, no fork,chopsticks or sauces , and my drink was missing. Very upsetting.

I ordered from doordash. Didnt receive parts of my order firstly. I got a crunchie roll which is so covered in "crunchies" you can barley see the no so great roll underneath. The chicken fried rice was decent. No complaints. Ordered a cali roll but got the weird hand roll instead? 🙃 menu was not very clear about what that was even googling the menu didnt clarify. So maybe my bad idk Ordered gyoza and didnt recieve it. Overall if i had just gotten the rice i would have been happy. The rest was just depressing.

I used to visit here regularly because I frequently visited the area approximately 7 years ago. I know Fire Box is affordable as well as quick, so I do lower my expectations compared to other casual Hibachi restaurants. The cashier was friendly, but everything else was disappointing. Certain pieces of the hibachi chicken were hard-to-chew and there were black specs in my ice. Furthermore, the tables, tray along with restroom were very dirty.

Beware of this place !!! Sometimes they will give you old food in the drive thru!!! Just pathetic!!!

I can't explain how disappointed I was when I received an order that was placed from this place after having call them and ask them about whether or not they had Yum Yum sauce. At the time I was told that they did have Yum Yum sauce, so I placed the order.. after receiving my order without the Yum Yum sauce which is the only reason that I ordered it. There was no Yum Yum sauce.. on top of that I ordered my steak rare, and received it well done. when I called the restaurant to inquire about why there was no Yum Yum sauce. I was told that it is an ad on which is not available on the app and that there was nothing they could do. In addition to that, they cooked my rare steak well done. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

I went because of the high ratings and Google photos looked good. Everything was sticky- tables, booths, chairs, everything... The walls and windows had black build up on them and it stunk like gross dirtiness. I saw there were a lot of people still ordering from them so I tried it anyway. The service was great but the food was sub par. Honestly, I didn't even want to pay for it but I have class so I paid and left a tip.

Absolutely the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The avocado used was old and brown, the whole roll was very mushy and had a rancid smell to it. I also ordered a bento box and the tempura and the California was wet from the teriyaki chicken sauce and the tempura and the potstickers were burned?!

My husband and I spent over $100 on sushi (to go). The flavor was off on the “crab” and the rice was not cooked properly. We both could not finish what we ordered because it didn’t taste good. The wasabi was the color of play dough. Overall just odd experience. The flavor was not there and was poorly made. We will not be going back and we are bummed for the wasted money.

Went through drive thru and currently been waiting 20minutes. No one hasnt even taken payment. If its that slow why even have a drive thru. At least say yall are behind
