Wow, the other reviews are way too harsh. Janay worked her butt off giving me superior service. She let me get 1/2 rice, half noodles. She gave me a generous serving of the Green Bean Chicken and General Tso Chicken. The Green Bean Chicken was one of the best I have had ever! I asked for two empty square Chinese takeout containers so I could transfer the food into a more portable containers that my wife and I could share on our flight home. See attached video.

What a pleasant surprise to be treated so kindly by friendly employees! They were so sweet I asked for their names, Abreasha and Geo, and told the manager she was fortunate to have them! The world needs more people like these gals! The food was fine for airport food, and decent portions.

K

The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! There was no line and I’m not sure why, the prices were reasonable (especially for the airport) and the two ladies working, Janae and Nicole (apologies if your names are misspelled) were so polite and friendly! Definitely recommend if you are needing a quick bite at love field!

It wasn't my first choice as we passed through the airport. we had an hour 45 minute layover so we chose this place to eat. overall a littlr expensive for what they had on display but it wasn't terrible. We actually got a cup of ice for free. My order was 2 entrees and rice or noodles, so I got orange chicken and honey garlic chicken with fried rice. I asked the young lady to put on some of the sauce from the Mongolian beef, which gave it a great flavor.

I enjoyed the food, friendly folks working there, good recommendations. I had the honey garlic chicken and general tso chicken, enjoyed both. Not awesome, but decent for airport Chinese food. No complaints.

Decent food. Fries rice is not a traditional Chinese fried rice but more of a fried rice pilaf.

🌟🌟🌟 Manchu Wok - Dallas Love Field “Pretty decent meal overall! Manchu Wok hit the spot for some quick airport Chinese. The flavors were solid—not exactly gourmet, but it got the job done. Portions were just right for grabbing a bite before the flight, and the food came out fast, which was a win. Nothing mind-blowing here, but if you’re looking for some hot, familiar comfort food before takeoff, it’s not a bad choice!”

Food was mushy and oily, and strangely their “light” menu items didn’t have calorie info while every other item did. The picture is from my spicy lo mein’s puddle of oil. All the food seems like it was sitting for hours and terribly over cooked. Would not go back.

The worst fried rice I've ever had. Green bean chicken was decent, same with the chicken egg roll.

J

Considering this is an airport restaurant, the food quality is less than desirable but edible. The food was overly oily. The only overwhelming positive note I can make about Manchu Wok is that there were not many people and the food was done in a quick fashion.

I was starving in the airport yesterday and some orange chicken and fried rice really hit the spot at the time. Until later in the evening and today where I feel absolutely awful. Definitely not the best quality/freshest food. Filling for a little bit and then it’ll do you in.

I understand that this is an airport food court, but I was not anticipating the quality of the food to be this poor. The spicy beef has a texture that is so tough and it appears to be cut in a manner similar to stew. The honey chicken seems to have only been seasoned with the batter, and I cannot detect any chicken. The only dish that appears to be of satisfactory quality is the spicy stir fry noodles.

6/15/25 First things first: THIS IS NOT FOOD MADE BY CHINESE PEOPLE! I'm so dumb. Returning from my first trip to Florida from Infocomm and visiting family. Layover at Dallas Love. Felt like Chinese again at the airport despite NEVER having had good airport Chinese. Saw this place, went for it. Disappointment. It is next to Moe's Southwest Grill at the Dallas Love Airport. I ordered the fried rice with 2 sides and the fellow scooping my order asks "which protein" after putting in my selection of fried rice. Doesn't that specifically refer to just the meat choice as opposed to the selection of options that may or may not have protein in them? What if I just said beef? Wouldn't he then need to ask which one? The first tip off is the rice. Not sticky and no self respecting Chinese would accept this as Congress style rice. The beef in the beef broccoli was sad and the broccoli overcooked. The chicken side was also sadly flavorless. The service was emotionless and could right through the server to the cashier. As I finished the meal the credit card notification came in... Moe's Manchu Wok. Of course it's the guy who also owns the Southwest Grill next door. So here's the kicker, I come back to Google maps to review the place because I have so much time to kill in this layover. 10 months ago I reviewed this place at 2 stars. I agree with my original 2 stars as it could be worse but I downgraded my stars in all the breakdown areas. I'm such an idiot... Happy Father's Day y'all. ------------------------------------------ 10 MONTHS BEFORE THE ABOVE REVIEW I must be a sucker because for the life of me, no matter where I travel to, on my way home from any destination I feel like having Chinese Food. And Chinese food at an airport has ALWAYS been disappointing no matter how many I try. This was no exception. Thing is... it can always look good. It is easy to make Chinese food look and smell good. But the outcome is something completely different. I know what it is. I don't like flying. it is not particularly bad but I find that the fastest way to get from point A to point Z on a plane is fi you're sleeping and nothing makes that easier than having a food coma. And I choose Chinese food as my drug of choice because my brain tells me burgers and hot dogs and fast food is a waste of money and that anything higher is overpriced in an airport. Well.. I need to somehow find a way to tell my brain that airport Chinese food may potentially never be worth it, and that fast food from a known entity and/or franchise will likely always beat it. Anyhow... I ordered Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry and this was not good. The stir fry was overcooked and not flavorful, the chicken was dry, the rice was criminally dry and felt half cooked. From an Asian's perspective, this is a grave sin. Good rice is required not a bonus and the quality of how well it is cooked can not be overlooked. There's not much more to say. If you love Chinese food, don't do this, it will only disappoint. If you don't know what good Chinese food is, this will probably be just fine for you. As always, this is a review based on one item. Trying something else could yield a different result... but I am not sure there would be a night and day difference from one thing to the next. Try at your own risk, decide based on your perceived standard of quality for your Chinese food.

Ummm I mean you can't expect much from airport fast food, but this is another level of bad strip mall Chinese food. I opted for the fried rice/chow mein combo with orange chicken and green bean chicken. I thought soy sauce and chili sauce would save it........but no LOL the green beans tasted fresh which is nice.

Big yikes on this one. You can’t expect a lot from Chinese food, in Texas, at an airport. But this reached an all time low. The honey garlic chicken, I do understand I got the literal dregs, but it was like… not even chicken, just soft, sticky, batter. The beef and broccoli was slightly better, only in the tiny shreds of beef were quite tender! Completely flavourless, but not chewy. And the lo mein? No taste, just greasy. On a lighter note, the lady who served me was quite pleasant.

I should have went with another restaurant I haven't had a vision food in the wild so I decided to go hear the airport is probably not the best place to do really any kind of food but this everything on this will try except for the vegetables thank God the noodles were dry I had to use 5 packs a duck sauce to give it some type of way to it. The egg roll was dry and horrible and like has been out there for a while the chicken garlic chicken wasn't the best neither next time go somewhere else

I wish I had read reviews on this place beforehand. The selection is mostly fried chicken bits in sugar sauce, which is usually fine, but when you look inside of them, there isn't any actual chicken - it's just fried breading in sugar sauce. The Kung Pao had just a tiny bit of meat. The price was okay, I suppose. This is not a place to grab a hearty meal.

I chose the 2 item with rice. I picked the chicken and vegetables and the guy was so stingy with the vegetables. The portion isn’t even considered an item, more like a side but charged like a regular item. And I got 2 potstickers as extra. They don’t bag the food either, you have to do it yourself, which is a bit of a hassle. They literally do the bare minimum; put the food on the plate and charge you for it.

It's quick but super dirty fast food. Ordered the sweet honey garlic chicken... First bite and I knew something was off. I'm pretty sure they don't use real honey, they use a sugar honey imitation... That told me all I needed to know about the quality on the ingredients here. Things were undercooked, overcooked, it feels loaded with oil and msg yet lacks the flavor you want when eating something like this. Honestly, please avoid, there's a reason why it's one of the worst rated eateries at the airport.

I have food poisoning now after eating the food I was already extremely suspect about. I would not recommend, the food was extremely sub par. noodles tasted like mush and chicken had a weird texture and flavor. Ordered the honey garlic chicken and orange chicken.

I had orange chicken and noodles with vegetables. Food was not fresh. It was cold and tasteless. Way too much salt dried my mouth out. So disappointing. Panda Express would have been much better. No wonder there was no line.

Flavor: F Service: C Tea: F Solo dining: A This place is an embarrassment to even airport food. Both chicken dishes I had were burnt, overly crunchy, and tasted old. The fried rice was also over cooked. The menu is confusing and the staff is giving it a half-hearted effort at best.

We had been away from Asian food for a week and we were hungry for it. However, our expectations were worst and we regretted for choosing this place. The food was old, portion was small, taste was flavorless. The service was not good. I wish I have read the reviews before ordering. We definitely won’t come back.

$16 dollars for rice and “double” kung pao chicken. I had to wait for the employees to finish their conversation (bout a minute or so) before serving me. I was the only one in line, zucchini was undercooked and rice almost broke my teeth off. Go somewhere else for that price and quality of food! The reviews are ACCURATE.

J

I got about 5 pieces of diced, Kung Pao chicken, the rest was bland vegetables. I wanted to substitute the rice with steamed veggies, had to pay for a 3 portion plate because I can't substitute...worst $13 purchase I've made.

Food wasn’t terrible, but it was outrageously expensive, and the servers were so rude!! When I asked if they had Soy Sauce, the cashier got an attitude with me!! I’m sorry if you hate your job, but I absolutely did nothing to you - in fact, I smiled at you and said thank you!! All I ordered was their Orange Chicken and an eggroll - that was $19!! I get that this is an airport, but my friend in front of me ordered noodles and Orange Chicken and had twice as much food as me and paid $17. Something wasn’t quite right!!

L

Food was definitely the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. None of it had any Chinese flavor. Sloppy everything. The customer service was the worst part. Moody and nasty service. They were inconvenienced by me ordering food from there. Manager needs to be more aware of what’s happening at this location.

S

This hands down was the WORST Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Two out of the three items on my plate were cold and you could tell it wasn’t fresh at all. The beef and broccoli was the only edible thing on my plate and it was just ehh so-so. And my plate alone was over $16 !!! Double that because my husband had a plate as well!

We bought two meals and threw them both in the trash. I would have demanded a refund but we had already boarded our flight before tasting them. Absolutely horrible food. $28 wasted. I emailed the company about it and they didn’t even reply. 😡

The food was barley edible the way it was prepared. I could overlook that, I cannot abide by the rude demeanor of the girl taking my order however. I asked for half rice/noodles. She said no. I asked for a sample and she replied that she would have to charge me and I only could get one, as if to imply I was some thief and would run off after receiving my sample. Paid for my terrible food and she got mad that I didn't tip her for handing me my food and being rude.

Congratulations. If you are reading these reviews, you have already avoided the mistake I made of blindly choosing Manchu Wok for lunch during a layover at Love Field. I was looking for something to eat that was somewhat healthy yet filling, and the beef and broccoli looked to fit the bill. As I approached Manchu Wok I should have immediately been suspicious of the fact that this is one of the few Asian restaurants that I've seen that doesn't hand out samples. My suspicions rose when I could hear the rice clanging against the Styrofoam as the server prepared my plate... but alas, I chose to proceed. My suspicions were confirmed. The rice was hard and dry. The beef and broccoli was edible, but had a burnt aftertaste. My wife's chicken was chewy and had a burnt taste as well. The packaged hot sauce tasted like spicy water. Trust the 100+ others who have sacrificed themselves to give you this 2 star warning. Find somewhere better than Manchu Wok at Love field.

Disgusting. A worker used her gloved hands to handle money and then pick up noodles to place in plates. They also pushed food fallen to the sides back into the trays. Taste was gross and quality was horrible. Only go here if it’s your only choice..

M
Michael Theurer

Staff was friendly but the food was very mediocre. The rice was bland and had an odd texture and the chicken was either overly crispy or overly mushy. To top it all off I got sick after arriving at my destination. I’d recommend another choice if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat.

This food is was not good and workers were not attentive to customers, but talking/gossip about friends while serving customers. I came here as a result of each of the other of my favorite locations being completely full and I had very little time. This was not my favorite location, just an alternative option. This was not what I expected from a location to eat. The stale tasting food portions were definitely reheated for service to customers. I have had packaged food that tasted better than this food. There were pieces that were supposed to be chicken but it was just breaded stuff!!?? Sooo, they sold me what I thought was chicken but it was not chicken. Up to one third of the portion I received was this bread stuff chunks pieces whatever you want to call it. The fried rice was not really fried rice it was just rice that had been tented with a piece of what appear to be egg every now and again in the mix. Again, one could have gotten a bag of frozen fried rice from the grocery store that would have been more satisfying and worth the taste. If I wasn't already on the plane, I would have returned it for a refund. The chicken I selected wasn't correctly prepared and just awful. For an airport location, it's just not a good choice when you can go and buy a sandwich out of one of the Hudson TV magazines shops that would be more satisfying than the anything that is served here. As a return location for me I hated it and would never return.

The food is okay at best on a good day, tasting like a cheaper imitation of Panda Express. Except not cheaper. Every single other location here has fountain drinks for $1.50, $2.00, maybe. Sometimes even the rare case of $2.50. But never have I ever seen $2.99 for a fountain drink. The combo that they offer is either $9.49 for a two-item plate or $12.48 for the two item plat with a soft drink. Know the difference between the combo and the basic plate? Well if you do a bit of basic math you see that it's $2.99 and a fountain drink. What joy. Now onto the food. The lo mein and fried rice seem fine, other than their deep brown color which threatens hypertension all on its own. If you don't want your blood to be 50% salt, the white rice is really your only option, and not much of one as it is chronically overcooked. Guarantee to you every entreé is just as sodium-packed as the last. They don't even have as many options as the most remote Panda Express. Overall, some of the worst food I've ever had the pleasure of eating. I like to try new things when travelling, but this place made me rethink that. I am a changed man now. I will no longer eat anywhere without checking the reviews first. I honestly think the food would have only deserved a 2, but the generally abyssmal experience motivates me to do the right thing and try to save others. Any other fast food here is good to bearable. Don't go here.

I didn't expect much from an American Chinese fast food takeout at the airport. I was totally surprised! This place hands down, won the award for being the crappiest Chinese American food I've ever tasted. The fried rice was too mushy and literally only had soy sauce for flavoring. The portions were small. The worst part was the guy at the cashier on Sunday at 6:50pm on 10/22 made sure he pointed out the tip section as if he was entitled to it for ringing up the bill. I threw away most of it.

The server had an attitude but the cashier was pleasant. The food was the biggest disappointment. There was no chicken in the king pao chicken. The orange chicken were hard as rocks. The soda was flat. Waste of hard earned money. Oh, and the noodles were greasy.

It deserves 0 stars. It starts with customer service and this place has none. Workers here seem bothered by people ordering, and they also come across as rude. I had a bad experience here (a little embarrassing) on 8/14. Long story short, the lady who took my order didn't ask me if I wanted a drink and I wanted to be charged to get it. When I saw she didn't provide me a drink, I asked someone there, but they were behaving as if I was asking for a free drink and were laughing at the situation. Then the lady comes back with a little attitude saying that I need to tell her from the beginning next time. Lol I just looked around didn't say much and grabbed my food. Not much you can argue with some people. There ignorance says it all. My advice to the owner, please coach employees so that they can perform. So many coaching opportunities here... This place can do better.

At Dallas, Love Field. Wanted Asian. Only one available. Had the flavorless fried rice, Broccoli Beef with under done Broccoli and carrots and tiny pieces of beef. Also had the more breading than chicken, sweet and spicy chicken. All in all, a Major disappointment. Staff was very nice and moved the low quality product pretty fast.

We had been away from Asian food for a week and we were hungry for it. However, our expectations were worst and we regretted for choosing this place. The food was old, portion was small, taste was flavorless. The service was not good. I wish I have read the reviews before ordering. We definitely won’t come back.
