You can truly taste the care and skill that goes into every bite. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Came here on a whim and honestly really glad I did. Came here and got the brisket sandwich with some of their sausage. Also got some collard greens, potato salad, cucumber salad, super good. Staff are interested in helping and talking to you, portion sides aren’t too insanely huge and also arent too small. Vibes of the place were nice and was very clean. Would recommend coming here if you wanna have some really good barbecue and sides that feel slightly more modernized if thats your thing👍

We had the governor and the they pulled pork sandwich! That governor is definitely a manly sandwich! I broke my phone. You almost have to unhinged your job to take a bite of this burger! It is simply amazing.You can smell the smoke when you pull up into the parking lot and don’t be afraid to ask for a taste… They will give you a taste of absolutely anything that you would like. The cookies are to die for! They have a pastry shift that cooks every day and I am not a chocolate chip fan, but this cookie was simply amazing. The place great, friendly and inviting along with there staff. Food itself, I had the three meat plate $29.99 quantity was fair for the price no complaints. Quality, I had the prime brisket little dry but still a nice smoke flavor. Spare Ribs were my favorite. Second favorite out the three was the stuffed jalapeno popper. And it is stuffed! For my 2 sides got the baked beans which were good for baked beans. The Mac n cheese was delicious, and I'm not a huge Mac n cheese fan. Order does come with BBQ sauce of your choice and cold veggies your choice of fresh cut or pickled. Main reason for a 4 was didn't have the other meats that are offered. Overall would recommend to try if your in the neighborhood.

I always judge a BBQ place by its brisket and ribs. The brisket was too fatty but had good flavor. The staff is very friendly and love the atmosphere. This was my first time visiting, I had a positive experience overall.

If you need help understanding their menu, someone was there ready to help, without you even having to ask for help! I've had a lot of BBQ and his place is high on my list! Collard greens and beans had a really nice kick at the end to them, which I hadn't ever had. Everything we had was really good! The only reason I didn't leave them a 5-star review, was I hadn't tried all of the sides...so I would give them a 4.5 The Men's restroom didn't have any odors, the floors were clean, the sink countertop was also clean and was one of the cleanliest Men's restroom's I've been in a really long time!

We're in the process of trying every BBQ restaurant in DFW with 4+ stars. Oak'd has kind of a dive bar atmosphere. The staff was nice, but there's no table service. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is pretty good. Better than others in the area, but not the best. The brisket was also good. It was tender, good flavor, and a perfect amount of fat but also not the best. Unfortunately, the burnt ends were the worst we've ever had. Dense, hard, chewy, and very very dry. The greens were good. The Mac & cheese wasn't bad, but it also wasn't that good. It was kind of mushy and lacking flavor. The beans weren't very good. They tasted like a bean chili that dried out. Overall, pretty mediocre food. Not the worst, not the best.

Don't be fooled by the cookies. We are visiting Dallas and wanted to try some Texas barbecue. This place had lots of positive reviews, so we gave it a try. My wife and I visited on a Saturday evening around 6:15. Had about a 10 minute wait in line to place our order, which is on par with the counter-service establishments we frequent. However, that's where the similarities end. I ordered a 3-meat dinner with wagyu brisket, pork ribs, and garlic sausage. My wife had a 2-meat with regular brisket and burnt ends. Sides were mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower, and cucumber salad. The flavor of the meats were...ok. The sausage was probably the best. However every single type of meat we ordered was tough as leather and room temperature. Not dry, just tough. Sides were OKish as well. Cucumber salad had no discernable dressing on it. Appeared to just be big chunks of cucumber, tomato, and onion. Brussels sprouts and cauliflower were limp. Mac and cheese was unremarkable. Not bad, but not particularly good either. Barbecue is a pretty big deal where we come from, and this offering would be considered lower-tier. I am sure Texas has way better barbecue to offer. They have a sign up offering a free cookie in exchange for a 5-star Google review. That's the only possible explanation for this place to be so highly rated. Don't be fooled.

Terrible!! I should have requested my money back and directions to a better spot. The brisket was dry and cold. The smoked chicken again cold and so dry it became mush with a bite.
