Neon Kitten is a gorgeous stop on your nightly rounds in Deep Ellum. I loved everything we were able to sample on our trip, the bar staff, wait staff and manager are sure to make your visit feel like you're part of the family.

DELICIOUS!! Atmosphere was so fun and hype, and the food even impressed my very hard to impress brother in law who couldn’t stop raving about everything. Cocktails were delicious too. The service at first was odd and slow, but then the owner Bob came and took care of us and it was only up from there. His suggestions were great and we loved talking to him. I love how they cheer everyone on as they walk in. Would definitely come back!!

This is a top ten establishment in dfw! I swear I've live in many places. I've visited NY city, Chicago, DC, Miami, Orlando, Belgium, and this would be my top 10. It's a vibe. The anime friendly environment. The owner is a gem. The staff...chefs kiss. The food is under priced for the quality and authenticity..hats off to the chef...best bar...

Genuinely enjoyed this spot. Their cocktails and appetizers were very creative and a hit. we also really enjoyed the staff.

We had an awesome time the Bar Staff was great and the dumplings were delicious. We had the pumpkin, shrimp and siu mai.

Went with some friends and they accidentally overbooked but this ended us up in the back speak-easy part of the bar and I’m glad! The bar tenders were phenomenal! They were very attentive and creative with their drinks which were really good. Unlike the front of the bar, there was no menu, which made the experience that much more exciting. The food was also delicious and aesthetically appealing! Despite the hiccup with getting us a table, they were able to remedy the situation with a quickness and professionalism. Great customer service 👍🏻

This place is pure magic! You want ramn, this is your spot hands down! The brother is hot so if you dont like it stick to the regular broth which still has a tiny spice! Now if you are into spice, I recommend fire, demon is "hotter" but I personally think fire is a nice spice

Very very good bowl of ramen. We walked in late after a long delayed flight into town. We really enjoyed the warm bowls of ramen and found them to have a pretty good amount of spice. We would definitely go back for another bowl!

Oni Ramen always hits the spot. The broth comes out rich and punchy without feeling heavy, and the noodles stay that perfect chewy texture the whole way through. Service is quick, the vibe is low-key and it’s pretty small inside.

The food is the main star of the restaurant. Had the ramen and a bowl of pork chashu. The ramen was rich and smoothing, the noodle was perfectly al dente, and had a nice level of spice. The chashu bowl had lots of meat to rice portion. The only slight issue was needing for sauce but you can probably ask for it. With the left over I combined the leftover pork chashu bowl and ramen broth and made a great meal similar to a risotto style. The atmosphere is nice to eat on a good day but too cold on the inside. Its all self served but that is fine. Oh and takoyaki was decently good. Recommend for the food, not the vibe.

Once you enter, it is a narrow restaurant layout. If you do not plan to sit at the bar, must order at kiosk and seat yourself. If you do want to sit at the bar, you order there. Keep your ticket from kiosk, and when order is ready, they’ll call your ticket number. Mine was the last three digits on my order number. I ordered the rich tonkotsu and chicken karaage. Broth had lots of flavor, and you can pay for spice if you want to make it spicy. It will be a chili paste that you add yourself. Noodles were good and chewy. Had an abundance of them in my bowl! The piece of protein that comes with it was thick and flavorful. They were also not stingy with the bamboo shoots and mushroom. The portion for the price is very reasonable. The karaage was fried to perfection and was juicy! It is well seasoned and might be too spicy if you are ordering for kids. There is also a self-served ice water station if you do not want to order beverages. Overall, I would definitely return for the food! Good ramen place in Deep Ellum that is worth a try if you are in the area.

I went with my granddaughters who absolutely loved their ramen! We all love the fact that we got to customize our bowls and add extra! The service was fast. This was our first time here my granddaughter said they would definitely come back. For three bowls and three drinks we paid $67. I definitely finished my bowl! 😂 Do I think it was a little pricey well you get what you pay for and what I paid for was good so it's up to you but it is definitely double digits for each bowl plus if you're greedy like me and like to add things it can add up pretty quickly. If I was invited to come back I would definitely go.

I have ate here many times since they opened and I am reviewing it for the first time. I always get the Oni Ramen (medium) religiously, it has been the perfect amount of spiciness and saltiness I am looking for in a ramen broth. Though they have switched up how toppings are managed, you can’t go wrong with 4 toppings! Everything was amazing and I look forward to eating it once more in the future!

FOR ALL OF YOU RAMEN CONNOISSEURS............ This is a great ramen place. I ordered out for delivery so I don't know anything about the physical restaurant. What I do know is that it was delicious. The broth was rich and savory, the toppings were plentiful and the jammy egg was spot on. It was also topped with a thick, generous slice of pork belly that was hearty and satisfying! (Definitely not skimpy). I will definitely order again

This spot is pretty great! Ramen is awesome and comes out hot and fast. The spice options are kind of weird the way you have to pay for them, they were also not super spicy. We got medium and couldn’t taste anything for $1.25 extra. They also don’t have a ton of indoor seating right now so plan accordingly.

We got really lucky eating here Sunday evening. There was no wait at all. In fact, the place was empty. Usually I'd take that as a bad sign, however, the food and service was great. My favorite was the morel shrimp dumplings and salmon sushi. Delicious!! Service was great and friendly. It was good, but I doubt I'll come for a second visit since there was only 2 memorable food items for me; but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it.

Parking is a beast in the area although the parking lot wasn't too far a walk. We actually passed the restaurant since there wasn't a sign. When you walk in you're greeted by all the customers and staff members so forget about shying away, there's no time. We had outdoor seating but it was rather cozy and great for hanging out especially if your party is a little louder. We ordered their infamous cocktail served in a Hello Kitty. So cute, we got our IG worthy photos and Snaps for days. Servers were nice. We ordered a little bit of everything. The cocktails were definitely the main attraction and food was for eating during or after a few drinks.

Neon Kitten’s presentation is on point! Their staff gave us a warm welcome and were super friendly. The dim-sum has a nice twist to it and their beef tataki is delicious, but their drinks and sushi were just ok. The problem was their ventilation system was awful - by the end of the night we were choking from the smoke from their grill (to be fair, I have asthma, so that’s probably why it affected me so much). Not sure if they were having an issue with their ventilation system or if it’s always like that. I would recommend checking them out, but if you have asthma you might want to sit in their outdoor patio area.

Spicy spicy ramen! Super generous portions and great ingredients. I have a high spice tolerance and even the mild spice ramen had some kick to it. My girlfriend had to get extra broth to water down her medium spice ramen, so respect the spice here! I got the garlic tongkatsu ramen and added a soft egg to it, also tried the chicken and rice. Both were fantastic choices. This is a solid spot for some delicious ramen in the heart of Deep Ellum!

The ramen at this location is so GOOD! Be careful how spicy you get it though, it’s hard to handle and I learned that the hard way! The vibe overall is nice but it’s such a small space and that made me personally feel less comfortable. Having my toddler with me was also why I wasn’t as comfortable since it felt so crowded. If that’s not something you mind, I definitely recommend this spot!

Great Ramen! My wife loves ramen and I usually think it’s overpriced and I could get the same at Walmart but I love her so we get Ramen. I usually try to tweak my order somehow to make it more enjoyable. We usually try the Ramen spots with the best google reviews and the more reviews the better. As someone who doesn’t like a lot of broth I ordered the Oni Reaper with extra noodles and my choice of extra meat, pork belly(bacon). This finally made Ramen enjoyable for me. They have a user friendly ordering kiosk which makes editing/customizing your Ramen easy. My wife is the Ramen connoisseur so she assisted me in my ordering. It is crowded in there however their outside seating is more open and a lot better atmosphere. We sat outside and it wasn’t too hot or too cold. Their customer service was good but not excellent. I give Oni 5 stars for the food and 4 stars for customer service and atmosphere.

Went for their Valentines day event and the music was extremely loud; to the point we had to yell to talk. The food was good but I not the best compared to other locations. The drinks were strong and would definitely recommend as a drinking spot if the drinks weren’t so expensive. The steak was my favorite part of the food.

Or not a friendly one at least. There is a corner bar on your right as soon as you walk in, and kiosk on your left. There's already limited seating, but they limit it further by putting on their kiosk "if you order here don't sit at the bar" If you go to sit at the bar to order, expect nothing but terrible service. I came in with a large but polite group. Despite the sign on the kiosk, we asked if we could sit at the bar after ordering at the kiosk because there wasnt enough seats for our entire group to sit at the tables available. He goes, "don't sit at my bar because i'm not gonna make money"....? we repeated the question because we were confused and he just repeated the same thing, very rudely, as if we wronged him by being there at all. It let us know we are not guest, we are just a means to make money for this guy. Why work in a customer facing position if you're going to be that rude for no justifiable reason? An extremely poor representation of Oni Ramen. We ended up finding seating and two of us sat at the bar after ordering because there truly just wasn't room for all of us. This is not the place to go to if you are with a larger party. It's an open kitchen concept, we can see everything they are doing to the food, from prepping, finishing, serving, and bagging. The kitchen cooking staff wore gloves for the most part, but occasionally i witnessed them touching their face, scratching their nose, then dressing the food. Raw ramen noodles just sitting on top of counters as well. And to top it off, that exact same rude employee vaping openly around the food. You have to get your own water at a self service water station, seat yourself, order your own food on a kiosk, grab your own food at their drop off station and take it to your table. Afterwards, take your tray and drop it off at the bar with their oh-so-kind employee. And the kiosk ask if you want to leave a tip. Insane. The food was mediocre. The ramen does not have much depth the way other places do, but they compensate for that by adding spice they way other restaurants lack. Food mediocrity can be excused if service was decent. But it wasn't even subpar. We came here because a few of us have visited here a few times before, but this was by far their worst experience here. For the few of us where it was our first time, we would not return. Nor would we recommend it to anyone who actually wants to have a good, enjoyable meal. A picture below of the employee so that if you happen to go, you can save yourself from interacting with him! So that maybe you can still enjoy your meal without feeling like you just offended someone who is choosing to work there! (I would have asked for his name, but he was so rude to not only us that I did not feel comfortable to do SO.)

Yeah, never again. Food is disgusting but looked so good. The customer service is non existent and no one acknowledges or explain anything to you. When you walk in you’d think to make eye contact or a welcomed greeting from the employees…..none at all. Food has potential but they have this ridiculous policy that I did not see at all. I spent time trying to figure things out and not one person cared to offer guidance. After all I am walking into your establishment as a first time guest. Not everyone knows the system to your business. I paid $5 tip and I didn’t even have utensils given to me, nor napkin & chopsticks. I got up from seat three times because of that. Also, they’re not afraid to put ghetto signs instructing you not to eat at the bar if you order from the kiosk, but nothing noting how I’d receive my order? They called out numbers and I didn’t even know where they were getting it from. Again, I had to figure it out that the last 3/4 digits of your order number is what they called. SOOOO CONFUSING!!! Then there’s no way of knowing who ordered what? Yall don’t have an expo monitor or something? I ordered an iced tea and no one gave it to me. I assumed I had to go up to the bar and when I asked for it he gave me a price. I rebutted “I paid for it already”. I’ve been to holes in the wall 100x better than this. In fact, I could’ve just warmed up instant noodle and been more happy with it. If you want mediocre Ramen, horrible service, & to dine at a place where you have to serve and do everything yourself…this is your place! If you want actual customer service, good food and a welcoming environment then SKIP. FAST. I’ll be dammed if stepped foot in here again. You’ll see the before and after of my bowl. I really tried eating it but my stomach kept turning. & Let’s face it NO SERVICE IS BAD SERVICE. Absolutely going to dispute this with my bank especially leaving a tip and not one person cared if I walked in or out.
