Opinions de Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar Dallas
Loved their brunch menu. Our party of 8 enjoyed every meal ordered. Presentation was fabulous just like our service from Eric. I had the Poké grain bowl and it was delicious!
Very nice setting. Service was respectful, friendly and the food was amazing!
Birthday dinner with a reservation for 5:30pm on a weekday. Traffic was a nightmare at this time and location. Just keep that in mind when making a reservation. The valet was free, just be sure to tip the driver! The Prix Fixe menu is moderately priced and appropriately portioned. Be sure not to be super hungry if you choose the Prix Fixe option. The Happy Hour appetizers and cocktails are fantastic! I recommend the one with Tequila and Hibiscus. Overall it was a good experience!
Came in here for calamari & booze, I had the Bendt 5 & when I tell you it is amazing that is an understatement & it's shitting on the whiskey, please drink that. So smooth, no chaser needed booze only, awesome atmosphere, awesome energy just great vibes & Bendt 5 is the brand no hangover just smooth
Saint Ann has that perfect mix of upscale and laid back the kind of spot you hit when you want a nice dinner without the uptight vibe. The outdoor patio was nice with a calm atmosphere and a great view of downtown. Food came out fast, everything tasted fresh, and the service was on point from start to finish. Great brunch spot !
Had drinks at the bar on Saturday night with Victoria. She was so sweet so kind. The drinks were amazing. We had the lavender fizz and a Saint Ann which is there old fashioned. The atmosphere was amazing. We’re definitely coming back. She was talking about brunch with us and so will be back next weekend hopefully to come check out brunch and the amazing food.
We tried this place recently for a happy hour and had a good experience. We sat at the bar and had some drinks and appetizers. The bar tender was great. Really personable and friendly. We tried the Sparkling Cherry Blossom and Lavender Fizz cocktails. We enjoyed them. The deviled eggs and meatballs were fantastic. Both had great flavor. Everything we tried was $7 each, so it was a great happy hour deal. We will definitely keep them in mind for a future happy hour.
Amazing food! Definitely save room for dessert. Their desserts are the best part. The service was amazing and the decor is very cool. They have a beautiful patio area. We had the spinach dip, which was good. The server recommended the tuna Poke tostadas. She was so right. They were delicious. The tuna was so good. Every bite was wonderful. And the carrot cake was so cute with a bunny on top. The cream cheese frosting was great. But the star was the chocolate torte. It had a deep rich flavor and the cherries really complement the cake. Definitely a place worth trying again.
Gorgeous restaurant located in a historical landmark which was originally an old schoolhouse – St. Ann’s Parochial School. The restaurant has an old meets new interior with original exposed brick, old artifacts and antique photographs along the walls that are contrasted by a modern bar and contemporary glass staircase. It is clean and offers a variety of seating options and a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere. The bar is substantial, and the extensive patio is a true oasis in the city which is well shaded with beautiful trees and large umbrellas. The customer service is 5-star with friendly and attentive staff. The portions are fair for the price and the food is fresh and prepared to perfection. They offer a comprehensive menu with vegetarian options and were able to accommodate dietary restrictions including a reduced salt diet. We made a reservation for brunch and were seated immediately upon arrival. Everything on the menu that we had was delicious including: the Avocado and Lobster Toast, Eggs Benedict, Country breakfast, French Toast, Wanda’s Doughnuts, and Fluffy Cakes and a Mimosa Carafe. We were incredible satisfied with the food, service and overall experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return to it time and again. Side note: the bathrooms are located on the second level along with a unique feature of this restaurant, the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum. Fee entry and an incredible private exhibition that has been made free to the public which showcases Japanese Samurai culture and is the largest of its kind outside of Japan.
We came here for my birthday and had the best time! We started off at the bar with Blake and he was so nice and welcoming. We ended up moving to a table outside where we chatted for a minute with the GM Peter. He was very warm and welcoming. Zack was our waiter and was the absolute best! He gave us some great recommendations and gave us such an amazing experience! My parents ended up joining us later on and everyone was super nice and we all had the best time chatting and just sitting. We have been coming here for years for brunch but have never tried dinner service. Absolutely rrecommend! Everything was phenomenal and we had such an amazing experience!
Visited for the first time for DFW restaurant week and when I say…WOW. We got there a little bit before 5pm and were seated right then and there. There wasn’t many people there so, our service was just right. The appetizers was great, I really enjoyed the crab and artichoke dip and tomato gazpacho, my friend said the ceaser salad was the best she’s ever had. For main, I got the Sticky Asian Glazed Chicken and it was delicious. Everything was cooked beautifully, the flavors blended well but eating each ingredient individually stood out on its own. The rest of my party got the steak frites and they absolute loved it. Said it was the best they have ever had. For dessert I personally loved the Strawberry Shortcake. The chocolate torte is very dense and rich. All in all, if you are thinking of visiting don’t hesitate! I will say the patio is very nice and is shaded by trees but in the height of Texas summer I would think twice before reserving an outdoor patio table.
We had a wonderful visit for my best friends birthday here. We were greeted immediately and sat outside. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elevated. The service from our waiter Will was Fabulous. He did not disappoint with any of his recommendations. Our favorite was the roasted chicken with whipped potatoes, which they split for us. The complimentary birthday chocolate chip cookie with milk was delicious & an amazing treat from St Ann’s Restaurant. Can’t wait to come back again :)
Beautiful restaurant with large outdoor patio. Loved the aesthetics of the whole place. We came with a large group for dinner. Delicious shared plates and apps easy for a group. We got tuna tostadas and corn queso dip which were awesome! The burger was also very good and my friends loved the poke bowl. The entrees were pretty good portions so we could have probably shared. The chicken fried steak was large and flavorful but our least favorite of what we ordered. I’d love to try more entrees on the menu and would definitely return. We had a new waitress who was training (and told us that) so we give her grace with a large group…I would imagine service is normally top notch. I loved the cocktail: The one with tequila. The sangria was just okay….sangria needs fruit in it to be called a sangria! ;)
This cute restaurant is located in the heart of Uptown. No need to worry about parking, there’s a parking garage conveniently located near it. I had such a great time here. The ambiance and the service is top notch. They have a wonderful patio for outdoor seating and large windows inside. We had so much food during our visit and I don’t really have any complaints. For appetizers we had the fried calamari and spinach dip. We also had a glass of Rose and their spicy margarita. For dinner my friend had short rib tacos, while I had the roasted (half) chicken, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. My chicken could’ve used a dash more salt, but all of the food was tasty with generous portions. Our balance came to $106, so about $50 a piece. I cannot wait to visit in the spring/summer and to try their brunch.
The ambience at this place is spectacular. Our server Matt was awesome and very knowledgeable when it came to the menu. The grilled pork chop with cheddar grits was amazing and Banana bread pudding was delicious. I would definitely recommend everyone stop by and try something out of your comfort zone here because you won't regret it. Update 3/18/22 We came in on a quiet Friday for lunch and received exceptional service. Unfortunately, the food was not a hit. The chicken fried streak was extremely over cooked and tough to chew and the shrimp & grits was very watery like a soup. However, the 24 Carrot cake was delicious and so was the spinach and artichoke dip. So based on this recent experience, I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 4.
11 of us went there for New Years Eve dinner, We choose this restaurant because it’s good ratings and their website advertised ‘…a count down toast at midnight against the backdrop of live music’. Well, there was no count down or live music. The manager told us he would compensate us, but he didn’t. The food was good and our server did a good job. But we were very disappointed!
Apps were really good, but the rest was lack luster. We had burnt bacon, over cooked pancakes , toast( how u over cook toast 🥴) and potatoes. Server made up for it. And we did have to wait 30min even though we had a reservation. I will go bk and try them again . I feel it was a one time thing. The free museum was cooool.
My husband and I ate here last night for the Valentine’s $75 per guest 3-course prix-fixe. To start, we only received one small piece each of the tuna tartare that was supposed to be in an apple yuzu marinade. We tasted zero marinade, all we tasted was spoiled fish. It was so bad we both had to spit it out onto the plate and try to wash the rotten fish taste out of our mouth. This has never happened to me at a restaurant before. Due to dietary restrictions, the only first course option for me was the colossal shrimp cocktail which they charge an extra $15 for. I was shocked when only 3 small pieces shrimp showed up. You’re seriously up-charging $15 for 3 small pieces shrimp?! My husband got the prime fillet and shrimp which they called “vday surf and turf” on our receipt. He said his steak was not the best and they also up-charged him an additional $15 and all he got was 3 small pieces of shrimp for his “surf”. We’re talking $30 now for 6 pieces of unseasoned, definitely not colossal shrimp. 2 stars because the sake roasted chicken was good and our server, Willie, was fantastic. We ordered 3 drinks total for the evening and our total was over $300 for one of the worst meals we’ve ever had in Dallas.
I was there as part of a big group that we ended up having extra joiners we let our server know who was very polite and asked us to see if she can talk with a manager and the host to accommodate the extra guest because she wasn’t sure if all the tables were reserved. The manager came over tall guy with glasses didn’t even introduce himself was just aggressive and rude from the moment he walked up to the table and told us with attitude like he was annoyed to be there that there was no way he could accommodate us and walked away immediately the server apologized to us and asked if she could bring us extra chairs to make this table work. We were upset we almost left to go somewhere else but her host actually found a way to sit the entire party while not all at the same table still close together. After that the manager never came back to speak with us or check on us he would just walk by and glare at us or was on his phone.
I went here for dinner with three friends and we each got different dishes. My steak was fine just way over priced for a tiny filet. My friends asked very normal questions that the server should be able to answer (Is this gluten free & what do you cook the chicken in?) the waiter didn’t know either and had to go ask. I understand how this may be frustrating, but the waiter showed his frustration and was rude to my friend. Overall the ambiance is nice, but the food was mediocre and service was not great. Also, the valet took our keys!!!! We valet near the neighboring restraunt and the valet left our cars there. He supposedly left when the other Restaurant closed and took our keys. The manager on duty at the valet ended up getting them back to us, but took 45 mins.
From the time we arrived until we left the entire experience was awful! We had a 9:30 pm reservation, when we arrived there was no one at the hostess desk so we waited 20 minutes for someone to finally come to the hostess desk. When she finally came, she said, "I'm busy, helping other parties." Then she walked off. After waiting another 10 minutes to be seated, we were finally taken to our table. We started out with 1 deviled egg, it was bland and terrible. They ran out of filet mignon, so we all ended up ordering the lobster pasta for our main course. It was HORRIBLE! The pasta was reheated and it was very oily. The meatballs we ordered were hard on the outside and the inside was salty. They tasted like potted meat. The strawberry shortcake was NOT strawberry shortcake. It was some made up concoction of strawberries and cream molded and made to look like ice cream on a stick. Drew, our waiter was great, he is the only reason I gave the service 5 stars. If it was not for him apologizing for the way the service was, I would have given the service a rating of 1. The live band was also a plus. The overall experience with the food made the whole thing bad. We ended up going to another place to get food because we were hungry after we left the restaurant. It was a huge waste of money.
HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT Worst all around experience I’ve had in a long time in a restaurant. I feel bad for the bartenders and waitstaff. We were told the managers had a full reservation list and still let the flood gates come in on an already packed AAC night. We asked the manager twice for our waitress and just a menu to look at, but the short haired manger w glasses pounding in his little iPad couldn’t be bothered. Waitress finally came over after 30 min w no water. A couple sat next to us and i let them know it’d been 30 min w no service. Waitress went to them 4 min later after our 3rd complaint. Finally came to our table, went over our order 4 times and still got apps wrong. When we told her she pulled so and pretty sure it was served elsewhere. My wife wet to the bar to see where our drinks were while i was serving water to all tables around. Turns out, no drink order for our table. Bartenders were GREAT!!!!!! Free drinks because they thought their manager sucked for what he did. Only good part of our night. Apps came cold, no plates to share. Plates came but not enough. Remaining plates came after apps were finished. Tables next to us started leaving. We followed, horrible experience. Won’t go back, which is sad because I used to love this place. Adolph the manager has ruined the place.
