We ordered the Al Pastor and the Carne Asada plate, and the portions were amazing. Each dish was hearty and flavorful, more than enough for sharing while still leaving some for later. It was a truly satisfying dining experience.

Super impressed with the quality of meat and portion size on their burritos. I should've added the sour cream, cheese, etc. but the burrito was still super good as is, especially with the variety of salsas. Enough of the filling fell out of my burrito while eating it that I had leftovers for the next day!! 100% recommend.

This is the only place that offers fish or shrimp burrito. They also have the normal meats burritos which is very good however my favorite is the fish burrito. I know? Fish burrito. They have the fish burrito or shrimp which is very unusual. They not only have the fish burrito, they give you a lot. It’s enough to cover the entire burrito and not over cooked at all. In terms of meat, my husband’s favorite is the carne asada(beef) burrito or pork Al pastor( bbq pork). He also tried the chicken and he said it was a little bit too dry for him the meat. Update: 08/22/2025 Felt like having burrito for dinner. Our go to location for take out burrito. We ordered: carne asada regular burrito and fish regular burrito. Burrito is big enough to share, that I only ate half my burrito. The fish wasn’t dry or the rice. Loved it with cilantro and onions. Made it tastier. Was told that their sopa de res is very good. Next time will try that or the fried fish. Looks yummy.

Good food, and excellent service, a no frills place, and you certainly won't leave hungry. We ordered Caldo de Res, and the veggis Super Burrito - and let me tell you, the burrito was indeed Super!!! It came with chips and house salsa. The portions are very generous and we could've shared just one burrito and still have some left over. The service was just excellent, very friendly and welcoming, adding more chips or salsa if you ran out... just like you'd feel at grandma's place. My wife is Mexican and she was very happy indeed with her soup, i.e. Caldo!! Bravo, Los Metates!! Thank you for a fantastic lunch!!

I went to this place just because I was in the area and was super hungry!!! I’m so glad I went here!!! I ordered super chicken quesadilla! It was amazing!!! 👌👌👌 portion was really good, salsa and chips amazing!!! Staff was friendly…clean place, fast service and menu was very easy to read and understand. It’s a must try in Daly City! I will definitely be back if I’m in Daly City! Must visit!!

Found this taqueria a week ago, and let me tell you all, to me it’s the best taqueria in this area, including the ones I’ve been going to in the mission district. I got a pastor burrito and it was the best I had ever. Definitely going back, and highly recommend this taqueria if you want great food. Also the staff is amazing and very friendly.

Found this place through other's reviews. I got the super carne asada burrito. Steak was cooked on the spot and not just sitting around like some other places where it can get dry and tough to chew. Overall blended well with other ingredients. Friendly customer service and standard pricing for the area. Only drawback is parking is very limited. Fortunately I was with someone and they dropped me off as they waited a few steps at the 76 gas station. Will be coming back when I'm in the area.

Awesome little place in the middle of anywhere but a commercial strip, but, take the time to go there you'll see that the food is "real" Mexican (a delightful treat at that), and the accommodations is just like south of the border, if you get my drift. But kidding aside, this place has all the right stuff and the service is good. Seating is a bit off, but take out is just fine. Yummy #MexicanFood though! (see what I mean -- about the exterior?). #TheBrokerWithAHeart

This place is great, their burritos are delicious, some of the best I've ever tasted. Their salsa is delicious as well, and I hate salsa. It's not very spicy, just has a great flavor. They're also one of the only Burrito spots that actually seasons their rice, I honestly can't believe more restaurants don't do this. Besides all that though, their prices are comparable to everywhere else that sells burritos. But more than anything else, their service is impeccable and they're very friendly. Would definitely recommend anyone to go there.

Super meaty and flavorful. I had to use a fork to eat the meat that fell out on each bite. Good cilantro:onion ratio which is really important. Why not 5 stars? Their spiciest sauce was not so spicy, I was expecting more. Will definitely be back though!

The worst thing is the rice was undercooked. It was crunchy still. Why would you serve undercooked rice? Why? For $14, I thought, hmmm what a steal. But I was the one who got robbed of pleasure. What a shame.
