Price is a little crazy, but honestly it's the best poke I've ever had. I can't go to any other poke place now without subconsciously comparing it to Kamea lol. Also the employees are all so nice, and one of them has a sick One Piece tattoo :) UPDATE: Still the best poke place I've been to and time and time again the employees have been amazing. Definitely the nicest group of workers I've ever come across.

Since a kid, Kamea Poke has been my go-to poke place before a fishing trip; it was my first poke place I've tried. After I rig up at Hogan's next door, I cannot describe how amazing the Poke is. Although they serve in boxes and the prices are high, they give you not only the perfect quantity but also the perfect quality Poke. In fact, there are so many sides to choose from, such as miso soup, which comes with your meal. Highly recommend coming here 👍

This was my first time - place having a Poke Bowl it was actually not bad. We went in and started on like this line where you had steps in building your bowl. I got to add various toppings and seafood selections like salmon and Tuna along with rice (they had white or brown) with various sauces. They build these bowls in a nice portion that's both filling and flavorful to your own liking of ingredients.

Love the poke from here. I appreciate the one price includes almost all choices. Lots of options for base, sides, fish, and toppings. I go at least every 2-3 wks when running errands nearby. Always fresh and good quality, and serving size is substantial. Parking lot can be a pain to enter/exit but worth it for the poke.

I've been coming here for years. It's the best Poke place I've been too. Good selection and good portion sizes. It is expensive, but I'm willing to pay more to guarantee great taste and quality fish

Poke bowl restaurants seem to be getting trendier, so I finally decided to get in on the trend and try out one of the new poke places inDana Point. I was not disappointed! The process of ordering is made pretty straightforward by the board they have posted with all the mix-ins, sides, fish, toppings, and sauce options. The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is delicious, I will definitely be back.

I have eaten a lot of poke and I can say this is the best value you will find just about anywhere. 9$ for A LOT of fish The fish is all great quality and they don't shorthand you either. I cannot recommend it enough, perfect post surf chow.

If you're a hungry guy and you like Poke ... this place is for you. The portions are huge and filling. The poke is always fresh. The selection of toppings is terrific. They even have sides like macaroni salad. This place is legit.

The best poke in Orange County by far. For $20 you can get a large bowl with a 1/2 of tuna, salmon or shrimp. Fish is always fresh and the service is always really friendly. Highly recommend

Loved his enthusiasm and all the people who were working here today worked perfectly together as a team. It was very comfortable in here. Everything was perfect except I think the music was a little too loud. It was hard to hear my conversation with my partner. Will be back just based off the people who work here and good food comes next. Thank you guys for my first experience here!

Ok poke. The people there are super nice and the poke itself isn't bad, but the sauces kind of were overpowering and didn't match the rest of the food. We were a group and ordered different sauces and we all felt the same. That said, the people there are nice, so give it a chance.

The food is fresh and delicious! The service is friendly. I come here at least once a month. Skip the avocado or ask how ripe it is before you add it on. I've had a few experiences with inedible, under ripe avocado here.

It's alright. Small place but the line moves pretty quickly. Food was good, when they're rushed they can RUSH you out the door sometimes. They also have miso soup as a side which is nice.

Poke bowls are delicious and this place is a great poke bowl place, probably the best I’ve had. The prices are very high ($14 for regular/$17 for large). I asked for a regular but was charged for a large but didn’t realize until after I paid. Credit to them, they tried offering me a drink/something else to make up for for it but I just wanted to pay the regular more than I wanted a drink… I don’t know if what they gave me was the regular or large size, either way, it was a good portion.

Places have ups and downs and kamea is going back up again. I’ll be honest this places was fire a year or so ago and then I stopped coming because it just didn’t match the price and the quality didn’t feel good. But not having my favorite poke spot for a long time made me really miss it so I tried it again. And I’m hooked again, the portions were right, the quality of everything looked great, and the nice worker with the short dark curly hair and tattoos was super welcoming and nice. I do feel like there was a bad point but I do believe it’s getting better and I’m happy to be able to start coming back and support one of my favorite local businesses ^_^

(Original post): If I could give more stars I would. This place is a hidden gem in this strip mall. Best poke and great portions. Updating from original 5 stars: -minus one star for quantity, the scoops are so small they only fit 2-3 small pieces of fish in each “scoop” but they used to give multiple scoops to equal one “portion” so it was an appropriate amount of fish for the price, now they level off the small scoop and count it as “one”… it’s a rip off. -minus one star for price, they decreased the quantity and increased the price. -minus one star for service and quality, both have gone down since my original 5 star rating.

The girl in the coveralls with tattoos on her neck will skimp you on your portions. She does little half scoops of poke. The guys actually load it up with big scoops. Definitely wait for the guys to serve you.

very mediocre fish and EXTREMELY expensive. everything is an extra upcharge. miso soup comes from a machine. The tuna was extremely gristley and hard to chew. They put so much sauce that your poke turns into a soup. 20 minutes after eating my boyfriend and I were running to the toilet with an upset stomach. avoid this place and go to Poke Tiki.

The worst poke I have ever had. I was the first customer when the store opened and I thought I would get fresh ingredients. I was sadly mistaken. When I got my dish home and started to eat, there was this smell of rotten fish. The white rice was stale and in clumps. I wanted brown rice but it wasn't done cooking. The rice more than likely leftovers from the previous night. I have eaten at this restaurant before, but never a super fan, however I always thought it would be ok. Needless to say I will never go back.

Have been here so many year because the fresh food and fair price. But we give people came today. One of our friend ordered regular size larger than all of our large size. The blue eyes girl gives not enough a full spoon of protein. I don’t understand what she’s doing here. I complain about the food she give us is way not enough what it suppose to be before and she argue that other people pay more. I want my money back
