Best custard and Italian ice. My favorite black cherry with real fruit. The owners are the servers, and are great. Hand scarf comes with the cup ( ask) :)

Loooooove Rita’s.. custard swirl with sprinkles… my favorite! Haven’t been here in maybe 5 years and it’s exactly how I remembered!!! 🤗 both girls were very nice and laughed when I called sprinkles jimmies!

Ended the night the right way. Rolled into Rita’s last minute to grab a tasty treat. The man behind the counter was super friendly and offered us to taste test right out the gates. Sampled several of the Italian Ices and settled for mango and the custard. Washed it down with some water to make the night. Will definitely return again.

Staff is very polite and accommodating.. I asked if they could make a custard milkshake and it was no problem Chase I just like to Culver’s in Arizona… Most definitely will return…!

Fun looking dessert shop and love chatting w/ the employee, I can't believe I didn't get her name. Rita's rivals w/ Handel's and McConnell's as being the best frozen treats for me. I got their watermelon italian ice and it's a lot larger than I'd expect. Still, you get a good amount for what you pay.

I love the blend of frozen custard and Italian ice. The owner was working and he gave me excellent suggestions on flavor combinations I would come back year. In fact, I would make a detour here. This is a wonderful spot on a hot day or even on a cool evening.

The old man was so friendly. My kids loved the surprise he gave them. We will definitely be coming here when we are in town. And dang that Mango is a 10/10!

Rita's Italian Ice has been staple for me as someone raised on the East Coast. It was an absolute joy to find one in Dana Point. The custards make for a great dessert. Highly recommend!

This place was delicious! A lot of different flavors and ways to mix it up like the gelati which is Italian ice and vanilla custard layered together. The owner's husband was present and let us know that the Italian ice and custards are all homemade. He offered us a lot of samples to try. Definitely not stingy! The serving size small was quite big.

The best place in Dana Point to get a great dessert. The owner is one of the nicest people in the state of California and the ice cream is top-notch. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Orange County.

We stopped by Dana Point to visit Salt Creek and to my surprise, there was a Rita’s! We’re from Philadelphia so we were very surprised and happy to find a Rita’s! We ordered a blueberry and watermelon gelati and it was delicious! The custard YUM. The Italian ice— perfect consistency! Thank you for your fine establishment!

I am not an ice-cream person, but THIS vanilla custard with mango Italian ice is so yummy. We visit Laguna then drive to Dana Point just for Rita's. The gorgeous Dana Point Headlands is a 3 minute drive and Strand's Beach is nearby. We don't have a Rita's near Pasadena so we consider it a luxury :) My daughter loves the "peanut butter mudslide concrete". Located in a shopping center so plenty of parking.

So good!! I got the cotton candy italian ice with vanilla custard and sprinkles. Tasted awesome. I would suggest pairing some fruity flavors with the vanilla too! Lady offered to let me try all the flavors. Super sweet and helpful :)

This is an enjoyable place for a quick dessert. The flavors are good. Sadly, the one I wanted was out for the evening. Service was great and accommodated what I wanted, though different than what I had wanted. (2nd thing out) Prices were very high for the small amount of product given. This is the only reason I will go elsewhere.

Drove out of our way to come here on a Saturday afternoon and they were closed. Google said they were open and there was no sign on the door or anything. Very disappointed as we were excited to try it.
