⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review — Harvest Harvest delivers comfort food done right, with elevated flavors and a warm, neighborhood feel. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting—perfect for a relaxed dinner, date night, or catching up with friends. The food really shines. The braised short ribs are the standout: incredibly tender, rich, and full of flavor, paired beautifully with creamy polenta and seasonal vegetables. The horseradish-crusted salmon is cooked perfectly—crisp on the outside, moist inside—with balanced, clean flavors. Starters like the shrimp lettuce cups are fresh, light, and thoughtfully plated, making them great for sharing. Presentation is polished without being pretentious, and every dish feels intentional. Portions are generous, ingredients taste fresh, and the menu offers something for everyone—from hearty mains to lighter, gluten-free and vegetarian options. Service is friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe makes you want to linger a little longer. Harvest is the kind of place you come back to, whether you’re celebrating something special or just want consistently good food.
I treated my mother-in-law and daughters to lunch at Danville Harvest for a girls day out, and I had such a lovely experience. Our server was so charming and attentive, and never strayed too far. The chicken salad sandwich was superb, and the crab cakes were phenomenal. The ambience of this place is gorgeous on a sunny day as well, so I highly recommend requesting patio seating if the weather permits. The food was fresh and flavorful, and I will be returning soon.
We wandered in for a late lunch and were so glad we did. Their happy hour is excellent — great deals on both drinks and small bites. The patio is spacious and shaded with big umbrellas and string lights, while the inside is just as charming with warm, stylish details. The whole place smelled amazing when we walked in. The menu is fresh and California-inspired, with plenty of healthy options alongside heartier dishes. We loved the variety — from shrimp lettuce wraps and crab cakes to salads, sliders, and seasonal plates. Cocktails are creative and well-balanced, and the wine list has a thoughtful mix of local and international picks. Danville Harvest is the perfect spot whether you’re looking for a relaxed happy hour or a full meal. We’ll definitely be back.
I hosted my friend’s bridal party here and the service, food, and atmosphere was wonderful. It’s not easy to serve 20 people but they were a well-oiled machine. No issues whatsoever. Drinks and food came out perfectly on time. Our server Juana was a rockstar, so efficient and kind. I came back for dinner on a later date and it was equally great. Thank you!
The salad was simple yet very delicious. The burger with cheese was really tasty and fresh. They also had fun activities for kids, which made the experience even better. The restaurant was organized, neat, and very clean. Definitely coming back!
We were there for brunch, but then we realized brunch is just on weekends, not their fault though. Every time we have gotten to Danville Harvest, we have a great time and a good meal, this time I had a really tasty steak wrap and my wife a sandwich. We will try to go there for brunch on weekends 😇
Had an amazing brunch at Danville Harvest with my fiancée, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a charming rustic farmhouse vibe that makes you feel right at home. We started with coffee and fresh-squeezed juice, both excellent. For food, I had the braised short rib hash, which was packed with flavor—perfectly tender meat, crispy potatoes, and a runny egg to tie it all together. My fiancée went with the lemon ricotta pancakes, and they were next-level—fluffy, slightly tangy, and topped with just the right amount of syrup and fresh berries. Service was spot on—friendly, attentive, and never rushed. You can tell they focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it makes all the difference. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to, whether for a relaxed brunch date or a weekend treat. Highly recommend!
I’m not from the area and drove past this cute corner restaurant and decide to give it a try. It was a Wednesday around 12:40pm. Parking was a bit challenging but that could be because I’m unfamiliar with the area. At first glance the restaurant appears “average” but once you walk in and see/feel the atmosphere, that perception instantly changes. It was a lot more “upscale” than I had expected (especially since I had a baby with me which automatically made me feel uncomfortable.) When I was greeted, the first thing I was asked was if I had a reservation (which totally caught me off guard). I did not have one, however the friendly employee by the name of Daniel, sat me and my baby outside on the patio which ended up working out great for us. Since I had my 1 1/2 year old with me in his stroller it really was the best option, plus it was a gorgeous afternoon! Daniel also ended up being my waiter and instantly made me feel welcome there. He even assisted me with my son’s stroller as to help us get to our patio table (which by the way was an adorable, comfy sofa styled set). On to the food: I chose the ravioli and let me say, it was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend. For my little guy, there wasn’t too much for his age category (totally understandable) so he had the chicken strips (which were home made style) and he did love them. Price: yes, this restaurant is definitely on the pricey side, but again, I am not from the area and so this may just be what is normal for Danville, Ca. All and all, I would say, it’s not very kids/family friendly however, I’d love to return one day to have a date there with my husband. Thank you again Daniel for doing your best to make mine and my baby’s experience there as pleasant and enjoyable as possible, you truly were a pleasure.
Disappointing Service, but Exceptional Management* We visited Harvest restaurant in Danville today , and unfortunately, the service was subpar. Our server seemed overwhelmed, and we had to repeatedly ask for drinks, food, and basic attention. The delays were frustrating, and the server's constant apologies citing "short staffing" didn't make up for the lack of service. However, I want to commend Manager Lauren for turning our disappointing experience around. After we brought our concerns to her attention, she listened attentively, apologized sincerely, and went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Her commitment to customer satisfaction and willingness to listen impressed us. Lauren's exceptional leadership and customer care skills saved what would have been a 1-star review. While the service issues need attention, Lauren's dedication deserves recognition. *Pros:* Manager Lauren's exceptional service recovery, food quality (once it arrived) *Cons:* Inattentive server, long delays, disorganized service *Recommendation:* Address staffing issues and server training, but know that Manager Lauren will ensure your concerns are heard and addressed. Would I return? Maybe, thanks to Lauren's hospitality.
Danville Harvest is my new favorite breakfast place! Despite the rainy morning, this place is full. Thankfully, reservations were made. Food complements service; the crew was friendly and attentive without crowding us. The short rib hash was delicious and my Farmer's market omelette was excellently done. We got complimentary chocolate banana bread, which is worth calling home about. Chef's kiss! The ambiance has a quiet elegance, welcoming and family friendly. Love it. 1 highly recommend and will be back- soon!
A quaint and beautiful restaurant in the heart of Danville downtown. Lovely menu and enough options for vegetarians. Each of the items we got were flavorful and tasty! Loved the presentation! We got the mushroom ravioli, hushpuppies, and avocado bruschetta and we'd give it all 10/10 Only suggestion is to enable somebody giving the cheque early. We waited longer for the cheque than the food itself!
Had a fabulous dinner at Danville Harvest this past Friday night. We had a fairly early reservation (6:15) and there were still plenty of open seats when we arrived, though not so much by the time we left. We waited a bit longer than I'd like before our server arrived, but once she had us the service was friendly and attentive. They offer a great selection of cocktails. I went for the Maratime (Rum, apricot brandy, falernum, lime and sherry). From never hearing of Falernum a year ago, I know now to always order any drink that contains it and have not been disappointed. And the Maratime did not disappoint, either! The food is somewhat small plates style, but I'd argue most of the "main" servings were very generous! We started with the Mac & Cheese croquettes, which everyone swears by for very good reason! Again, a serving of four was generous, but I could have easily eaten more. The truffle fries were tasty, though the parmesan cheese mostly fell off the fries. For mains, my wife had the pesto & tomato gnocchi, very fresh and flavorful. I had the short rib, which was outstanding! There was a sweet crispy char to the outside, while the rest melted in my mouth. So good! We even splurged on dessert: chocolate brownie cookies (big and melty warm) and creme brulee. So worth it. This is a great spot in the heart of quaint, downtown Danville. Don't miss it.
A cozy (but safe) dining experience. Outdoor seating with proper distancing and masked wait-staff helped us feel more comfortable about dining in this strange age of covid-19. Several dishes featured a healthy theme, like a grain bowl with choice of protein. Plenty of cocktail, wine, and beer choices to round out the experience. Parking gets a bit crowded and reservations are recommended.
Such a great little gem! We had the hush puppies, which were great(minus the maple butter for us), as well as the short rib hash and the seasonal omelette. The hash was fabulous, and the omelette was good, but left a little to be desired. Drinks were by far the shining star!! So good, and perfectly balanced. Portion sizes were also just as fabulous, and we left feeling full but not stuffed.
Found Danville Harvest off of Yelp. Two of us ordered: field work pulp hazy IPA $8 ea bloodrot pinot $14 ea brussels sprouts $15 short rib entree $29 steak frites $31 Entrees a bit on pricier side, but ingredients were good. Parking can be tough during peak hours, but there is a lot in the back.
It’s so fun to discover a place I’ve never seen or heard about and this spot is certainly one of those places. My college roommate (in the 1980s) and I decided to meet here for a few drinks after work one afternoon and catch up a bit. Sadly, we only sampled drinks so I cannot comment on the quality of food. On the other hand, the bar is super charming and has a small town feel to it and I felt many of the people there knew each other. The cocktails were great and the service was great and even better - my buddy picked up the bill so I don’t know if it cost $50 or $500. Good times! Michael Delehanty Compass Real Estate
I liked it! Service was attentive, food was tasty, tons of outdoor tables. They lose a star for 2 reasons- I wanted to try one their signature cocktails with a premium vodka (not the well vodka) but they said it wasn't possible since it's "batch made"; and the short ribs were tasty but not excellent. A well made short rib dish can have you practically licking the plate. This one was not that excellent. Not bad though!
We sat outside to enjoy the sun and atmosphere, which were beautiful. The food was a bit disappointing. If you are hungry, don’t come here because the portion size of the cashew salad was so poor, I was ashamed for them. Charging a pride price and skimping put on filling a regular salad plate is maybe acceptable for a fine dining restaurant, but not for what is supposed to be a farm to table venue. The taste was also bland. Our other order order was a hamburger with fires which tasted delicious, yet again here too the portion was borderline acceptable. Please y’all ar harvest, don’t br so cheap.
A nice brunch place with a chill atmosphere. I ordered Coffee and the Burrata Toast to start. Then I got the Short Rib Mash and a side of Hash Browns. The standout was the Burrata Toast, but the Short Rib Mash was okay. IMHO the pieces of short rib were tough and flavorless. The hash browns were good. Maybe it was a fluke day, but I had high expectations from friends recommending Harvest. Definitely come check it out to make up your own mind.
I’m vegetarian and usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this experience was very disappointing. There were extremely limited vegetarian options, and after eating the food I felt sick and ended up throwing up, which made the experience even worse. I ordered a tostada that came out with meat inside, so I had to return it. When it came back the second time, it was completely cold and had to be sent back again. I then had to wait for my food. Overall, it felt like a waste of money and time. If you’re vegetarian, I would not recommend eating here
Overall, the decision of dining here was one that my family and I regret making. They failed to show that they can properly handle a large group of people on a non-busy weekday. Yes, we had a fairly large party (12) however we did reserve two days in advance so there was a heads up we were coming. Initially everything seemed fine as drinks were ordered and received promptly however the service went downhill from there. Our food order was taken - bread, some appetizers and entrees. The appetizers came out after about 30 minutes along with 3 out of the 12 entrees. The other 9 people received their food another 30-45 minutes after that. This was after we had to pester the staff multiple times to bring us bread and to inquire about when the rest of the food would come out. Obviously a quarter of our group was forced to eat before the others got their food, which really ruined the entire dining experience, and the lengthy delays made it uncomfortable as the staff didn’t check in at all until we spoke up multiple times. I’m no restaurant manager, however I believe it’s fairly standard practice to bring everyone’s entrees out all at once. I typically give restaurants the benefit of the doubt however they weren’t slammed at all by any means and the meal itself was expensive. I don’t want to ignore that they ended up comping our drinks and apps as a courtesy and admitted that their service was not acceptable, stating the kitchen fell behind - gracious, but a mute gesture after it felt as if we had to put quite a bit of effort in to get our food. I also don’t want to leave out that our food was very tasty. Perhaps those who had small groups had a good experience however I would be weary about dining here with a large party on a weekday based on what we went through.
